Abstract

Radio RASI FM is a community radio that organizes and broadcasts the tradition of ‘ngaruat lembur’, the tradition of expressing gratitude to God, and to ward off disasters as well. This radio performs documentation starting from data searching to creating a form of cultural documentation. The study purpose was to see the documentation process of the traditional culture of ‘ngaruat lembu’ at RASI FM radio. The research used the case study method through qualitative method approach to the owner, broadcaster of radio and community of Cisewu Village. The study results indicated that RASI FM radio documented the ‘ngaruat lembur’ tradition through the recording and management process. Recording activities started from the collection of information and records in the form of pouring data. Management activities consisted of the distribution of duties as an on-air announcer, off-air broadcaster, and audio-visual documentation. Then, the storage of written broadcast results on radio and data into audio-visual media was performed and preservation of documents through the separation and maintenance of audio-visual media. Based on that, we constructed a model of the cultural documentation process of ‘ngaruat lembur’ on RASI FM radio. The radio serves as a preserver of rural community traditions through the ‘ngaruat lembur’ program, which is followed by all circles of society. However, the radio team did not yet have a digital-based form of audio-visual documentation maintenance. Nevertheless, RASI FM radio has become a forum for transferring traditional information of Cisewu Village community.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out visual literacy pattern of infographic designers in order to create infographics in House of Infographics (HOI). The scope of this study is the ability of infographic designers in interpreting the visual object and creating infographics. This study is using qualitative case study method. Observation, interview and literature study, with the purposive sampling technique are chosen as the method of data collection. The informants of the research was the designer of infographics in House of Infographics (HOI). The results of the study showed that visual literacy patterns formed in interpreting visual objects in HOI, by reading and understanding the basic concepts of design. In creating infographics,infographic designer has workflows, which are brainstorming activities, information and data collection, content determination, narrative preparation, information visualization design, and infographics publication.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pola literasi visual infografer dalam pembuatan informasi grafis di House of Infographics (HOI). Ruang lingkup penelitian ini ialah kemampuan desainer infografer dalam menafsirkan objek visual dan menciptakan infografis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka, dengan teknik purposive sampling dipilih sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Informan penelitian adalah perancang infografis di House of Infografis (HOI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola literasi visual yang terbentuk dalam menafsirkan objek visual di HOI melalui membaca dan memahami konsep dasar desain. Dalam menciptakan infografis, desainer infographic memiliki alur kerja, yang brainstorming kegiatan, informasi dan pengumpulan data, penentuan konten, persiapan narasi, desain informasi visualisasi, dan publikasi infografis.

Abstract

Batu Api Library is one of the personal library in the sub-district Jatinangor. In this research done to know the process of library services, quality of service and Library Promotion elements with the case study research method. The results of the study showed that in the process of the ministry has 4 categories, including the questions and a search through the tool telusur done by members of the library and the help of the owner of the library and the acceptance of the information through the collection of the owner of the library and the discussion fellow members of the library, request from the members of the library, allocation by the owner of the library. The quality of service has 3 categories, including in the affect of service owner of libraries have an open attitude and provide recommendations, in information control no provision of the catalog and have a collection of lent, purchased and given in the U.S. libraray place no service share space. Promotion elements have 4 categories, advertising (advertising) using the writing to the mass media and library bulletin, sales personal selling) using social media facebook, twitter, instagram and forsquare, sales promotion (promotion selling) using flyers and posters, publicity (leading) using their own activities and activities that work with outside parties.Perpustakaan Batu Api merupakan salah satu perpustakaan pribadi di Kecamatan Jatinangor. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui proses pelayanan perpustakaan, kualitas pelayanan perpustakaan, dan unsur promosi dengan metode penelitian studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam proses pelayanan memiliki 4 kategori, diantaranya pertanyaan dan pencarian melalui alat bantu telusur dilakukan oleh anggota perpustakaan dan bantuan pemilik perpustakaan, penerimaan informasi melalui koleksi, pemilik perpustakaan dan diskusi sesama anggota perpustakaan, permintaan dari anggota perpustakaan, alokasi oleh pemilik perpustakaan. Kualitas pelayanan memiliki 3 kategori, diantaranya dalam affect of service pemilik perpustakaan memiliki sikap terbuka dan memberikan rekomendasi, dalam information control tidak ada penyediaan katalog dan memiliki koleksi yang dipinjamkan, dibeli dan diberikan, dalam libraray as place ada layanan berbagi ruang. Unsur promosi memiliki 4 kategori, periklanan (advertising) menggunakan tulisan ke media massa dan buletin perpustakaan, penjualan pribadi (personal selling) menggunakan  media sosial facebook, twitter, instagram dan forsquare, promosi penjualan (promotion selling) men-ggunakan pamflet dan poster, publisitas (publicity) menggunakan kegiatan yang dilakukan sendiri dan kegiatan yang bekerja sama dengan pihak luar.

Abstract

The Sundanese language becomes one of the regional languages in the Indonesian Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC)’s notation 499.2232. The knowledge of Sunda has become a representation of the language used by the Sunda ethnicity in ancient and present times, thus it is necessary to record the development of language science and Sundanese literature into the DDC system in the library. This study aimed to extend the Dewey’s Classification notation in the field of the Sundanese language and literature. The scope of this study was to review the Indonesian and Sundanese language and literature notations in the 23rd edition of DDC Classification System, the development of knowledge about the Sundanese language and Sundanese literature, as well as the extension of the notation on the subjects. The research used a qualitative method using a descriptive. The result of this study was the extension of the Sundanese language and literature subject notation to complete the DDC classification scheme, which then would be submitted to the Library Material Development and Information Services in the National Library of Indonesia. Furthermore, the development of knowledge of the Sundanese language and literature that have been published in various forms of publication, to date can be represented by some more specific classification notation under the notation 499.223 2 for the Sundanese language and under notation 899.223 2 for the Sundanese literature. The notation will also provide benefits in the management of library materials as a representation of information contained in various publications on the Sundanese language and literature.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the "role of teachers in the growing smart home smart home users reading Mekarsari Ciwidey village". The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. Techniques of data collection through observation, interviews, and questionnaires on children users Smart House, as well as library research. In this study, researchers analyzed that the characteristics of a good teacher is a smart home: to answer and give you the exact reason of the importance of reading books, being able to explain well about the book being discussed, can share experiences about the positive impact of diligent reading, always actively invited to do read books together, always be friendly, provide information about the importance of reading the book again and again, delivering an important message about reading clearly, using language that is easily understood in explaining the importance of reading books. Based on the research results, the researchers concluded that teachers or communicators in Smart House Program in Rural Mekarsari Ciwidey meets the characteristics of a good teacher smart homes. Teachers in the program the smart home has good credibility in delivering messages and infor- mation about the importance of reading to children. And content of the message conveyed by the communicator to get a good response from the res- pondent, as well as the interest in reading are owned by the Village Mekarsari Ciwidey fall into the category of high. Researchers hope that this study can serve as a model for other social foundation to develop children's interest in reading villages in other areas.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan "Peranan Pengajar di Rumah Pintar Dalam Menumbuhkan Minat Baca Pengguna di Desa Mekarsari Ciwidey". Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner pada pengguna anak-anak Rumah Pintar, serta studi pustaka. Dalam studi ini, peneliti menganalisis bahwa karakteristik guru yang baik adalah rumah pintar: untuk menjawab dan memberikan alasan yang tepat tentang pentingnya membaca buku, mampu menjelaskan dengan baik tentang buku yang sedang dibahas, dapat berbagi pengalaman tentang positif dampak rajin membaca, selalu aktif diundang untuk melakukan buku membaca bersama-sama, selalu ramah, memberikan informasi tentang pentingnya membaca buku lagi dan lagi, memberikan pesan penting tentang membaca dengan jelas, menggunakan bahasa yang mudah dipahami dalam menjelaskan pentingnya membaca buku. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, para peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa guru atau komunikator di Rumah Pintar Program di Pedesaan Mekarsari Ciwidey memenuhi karakteristik guru yang baik rumah pintar. Guru di program rumah pintar memiliki kredibilitas yang baik dalam menyampaikan pesan dan informasi tentang pentingnya membaca untuk anak-anak. Dan isi dari pesan yang disampaikan oleh komunikator untuk mendapatkan respon yang baik dari responden, serta minat baca yang dimiliki oleh Desa Mekarsari Ciwidey jatuh ke dalam kategori tinggi. Para peneliti berharap bahwa penelitian ini dapat berfungsi sebagai model untuk yayasan sosial lainnya untuk mengembangkan minat anak-anak dalam membaca desa di daerah lain.

Abstract

This research examines about user information literacy community Reading Park. Community Reading Park that made the sample in this study is the community Reading Park in the city of Semarang, represented by the community Reading Park in Semarang Semarang, North West and South Semarang. The reason for the election of three sub-this is because in three sub-this is the many community Reading Park active, besides keterbatasn research time. Information Literacy at TBM there is very important to be examined because the user community Reading Park is most is the karanng taruna who have dropped out of school and the mother of the housewife, which is difficult to get the reading in school library. This research uses the Literature Review or reviews the literature as a method of research types of research is qualitative research with the data type also qualitative data and data collection methods using the document. Data analysis used Qualitative analysis. Research results show that many developed countries that use Information Literacy to improve the quality of education in the community. There are some models of Information Literacy is applied. In Indonesia, the government based the development of slimming education with developing community Reading Park (TBM). From some of the community Reading Park has examined, most of the user community Reading Park in Semarang City Sub-district have been implementing Information Literacy, proved that they be aware of the information needed and they know how to search for and use it. They use the information they can according to their needs. There are used to working on the task to develop business and the household business them. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang literasi informasi pemakai TBM. TBM yang dijadikan sampel dalam kajian ini adalah TBM di kota Semarang, yang diwakili TBM di daerah Semarang Utara, Semarang Barat dan Semarang Selatan. Alasan pemilihan tiga kecamatan ini adalah karena di tiga kecamatan inilah banyak TBM yang aktif, disamping keterbatasn waktu penelitian. Literasi informasi di TBM sangat penting untuk dikaji, karena pemakai TBM ini sebagian besar adalah para karanng taruna yang telah putus sekolah dan ibu-ibu rumah tangga, yang sulit mendapatkan bacaan di perpustakaan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan Literature Review atau tinjauan literature sebagai metode penelitiannya Jenis penelitiannya adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis data juga data kualitatif, dan metode pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumen. Analisis data yang digunakan analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa banyak negara-negara maju yang menggunakan Literasi Informasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan masyarakatnya. Ada beberapa model Literasi Informasi yang diterapkan. Di Indonesia, pemerintah memprogramkan pengembangan progarm pendidikan dengan mengembangkan Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM). Dari beberapa TBM yang telah diteliti, sebagian besar pemakai TBM di kecamatan Kota Semarang telah menerapkan Literasi Informasi, terbukti bahwa mereka menyadari akan informasi yang dibutuhkannya, dan mereka tahu bagaimana cara mencari serta menggunakannya. Mereka menggunakan informasi yang telah mereka dapat sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka.

Abstract

College libraries in helping to educate the nation in all aspects of life can play an active role in serving pemustakanya, in this case the student through bibliotherapy activities or therapy literature. Bibliotheraphy an old concept of librarianship. Bibliotherapy services performed in high library implemented to help problem students the nature of academic and non-academic, suspected to disrupt the continuity of studies, with facilitators trained librarians as biblioterapis. Bibliotherapy activities can be applied in the college library with attention to aspects that support the implementation of effective bibliothetrapy. Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi dalam membantu mencerdaskan bangsa dalam segala aspek kehidupan dapat berperan aktif dalam melayani pemustakanya, dalam hal ini mahasiswa melalui kegiatan bibliotherapy atau terapi pustaka. Bibliotheraphy merupakan konsep lama kepustakawanan. Layanan bibliotherapy dilakukan di perpustakaan tinggi dilaksanakan untuk membantu masalah mahasiswa yang bersifat akademik maupun non akademik yang ditengarai dapat mengganggu kelangsungan studinya, dengan fasilitator  pustakawan terlatih sebagai biblioterapis. Kegiatan bibliotherapy dapat diterapkan di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi dengan memperhatikan aspek-aspek yang mendukung terselenggaranya bibliothetrapy secara efektif.

Abstract

This study examines the Environmental Health Information Literacy in Rural Communities in the District Nagrog village Cicalengka Bandung regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that motivate environmental health information needs, information seeking behavior, and patterns of environmental health information search in the village community Nagrog Cicalengka District of Bandung regency. The method used is descriptive with quantitative approach. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews, observation, and literature. Data analysis used the interactive analysis. Outcome results of this study are tergambarnya environmental health information literacy in the village on the District Nagrog Cicalengka Bandung regency. The results showed that the factors that encourage people to seek health information environment that extrinsic factors. Public information seeking behavior has not sitstematis in searching for information, and the information search patterns, there are three that concern passive, passive search, and the search is on.Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang Literasi Informasi Kesehatan Lingkungan pada masyarakat Pedesaan di Desa Nagrog Kecamatan Cicalengka Kabupaten Bandung. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor yang memotivasi kebutuhan informasi kesehatan lingkungan, perilaku pencarian informasi, dan pola pencarian informasi kesehatan lingkungan di masyarakat Desa Nagrog Kecamatan Cicalengka Kabupaten Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket, wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yakni analisis interaktif. Luaran hasil kajian ini adalah tergambarnya literasi informasi kesehatan lingkungan yang terjadi di Desa Nagrog Kecamatan Cicalengka Kabupaten Bandung. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang mendorong masyarakat dalam mencari informasi kesehatan lingkungan yakni faktor ekstrinsik. Perilaku pencarian informasi masyarakat belum sitstematis dalam mencari informasi, dan pola pencarian informasinya terdapat tiga yakni perhatian pasif, pencarian pasif, dan pencarian aktif.

Abstract

The emergence of disinformation phenomena that occur currently in the millennial generation is due to the easy-going attitude that believes in the information obtained without looking at the truth or examining the credibility of the information source. Eventually, the millennial generation does not have the analytical thinking process of using information. The purpose of this study was to get a picture of disinformation that occurred in the millennial generation and explained the application of cultural literacy and citizenship as a solution to overcome disinformation. The research used the literature study method with a qualitative approach. Data collection used primary and secondary data obtained through various kinds of literature in the last ten years (2009-2019) such as books, e-books, e-journals, and proceedings. Based on the results of the analysis of the problems studied and supported by the theory used, the results showed that cultural and citizenship education could be applied in millennial generation literacy styles. This generation could be more selective in receiving and processing information obtained, could prevent the emergence of hoaxes and hate speech circulating in the community and instill cultural values and citizenship in the lifestyle in the millennial era. The steps taken are activity programs that contain useful information processing process that shapes an individual to become more selective in processing information obtained as well as implementing cultural literacy and citizenship independently in schools, family, and environment.

Abstract

Research on Information Literacy in fostering the motivation of entrepreneurial for the Housewife in the village of West Nagasari Karawang aims to find out the capabilities of literacy information entrepreneur owned the homemaker can cultivate entrepreneurship motivation to discuss economic families with housewife role as breadwinner. The research method used was qualitative with the design case studies. To collect the data is done by observation, in-depth interviews and literature study. The data source is the housewife, Literacy Expert Information, an expert on motivation, and references to Information Literacy and motivation. Based on the results of the research the housewives already has the capability of information literacy entrepreneurial conditioned, among other things: (1) being able to formulate information needs about entreprener, (2) is capable of updating the evaluation of the quality of the information, in this case the filter is capable of performing to the information will be used, (3) capable of storing and retrievel information, storage is done via media flash-disks and hard drive in the laptop, (4) are able to use information effectively and efficiently, the information obtained is used as a reference in the opening attempt and (5) able to communicate knowledge which can be with other parties, in this case the housewife doing sharing knowledge with her husband and other mothers already and have not experienced in the activities of the hero's efforts, (6) are capable of implementation information obtained about self-employment by opening a home business based on those results, are expected to help the other housewives in order to help improve the economy of their families.Penelitian tentang Literasi Informasi Dalam Menumbuhkan Motivasi Berwirausaha Bagi Para Ibu Rumah Tangga di Kelurahan Nagasari Kabupaten Karawang Barat bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi informasi wirausaha yang dimiliki para ibu rumah tangga dapat menumbuhkan motivasi berwirausaha untuk memperbaiki ekonomi keluarga dengan peran ibu rumah tangga sebagai pencari nafkah tambahan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam dan studi literatur. Sumber data nya adalah para ibu rumah tangga, pakar Literasi Informasi, Pakar Motivasi, dan referensi mengenai Literasi Informasi dan Motivasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian para ibu rumah tangga sudah memiliki kemampuan literasi informasi berwirausaha, antara lain: (1) mampu merumuskan kebutuhan informasi mengenai wirausaha, (2) mampu mengevaluasi kualitas informasi, dalam hal ini mampu melakukan filterisasi terhadap informasi yang akan digunakan, (3) mampu menyimpan dan menemukembalikan informasi, penyimpanan dilakukan melalui media flashdisk dan hardisk di laptop, (4) mampu menggunakan informasi secara efektif dan efisien,informasi yang didapat digunakan sebagai referensi dalam membuka usaha dan (5) mampu mengkomunikasikan pengetahuan yang didapat dengan pihak lain, dalam hal ini para ibu rumah tangga melakukan sharing knowledge dengan suaminya dan ibu-ibu lain yang sudah dan belum berpengalaman dalam kegiatan wirausaha, (6) mampu mengimplementasikan informasi yang didapat mengenai wirausaha dengan membuka bisnis rumahan berdasarkan hasil tersebut, diharapkan dapat membantu para ibu rumah tangga lainnya agar dapat membantu memperbaiki ekonomi keluarga mereka.
