Abstract

The ‘marung’ culture is a custom of the people of Paseban village. The ‘marung’ activity is a means to relax after work, ward off feelings of loneliness by meeting neighbors, and sharing information. This becomes a potential for information literacy. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the factors underlying the formation of ‘marung’ culture and information literacy. The research method used qualitative research method. The data collection technique used was observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis steps in this study were (1) condensation of data, (2) presentation of data, and (3) drawing conclusions and verification. The data credibility test used: source triangulation, technique triangulation, and time triangulation. The result of this study showed ‘marung’ culture was formed based on the history of the village community to set strategies of defending themselves from Dutch colonialism by creating ‘cangkrukan’/gathering habits. After the Dutch colonial period ended, this ‘cangkrukan’ habit became attached to the village community. The ‘warung’ was considered the most strategic place for ‘cangkrukan’. This place can accommodate all people from various backgrounds to chat, have fun, establish ‘silaturahmi’/hospitality, relax from daily activities, and get the information needed. ‘Marung’ culture fulfills four cultural systems, namely: culture, social, personality, and organism. ‘Marung’ culture is very closely related to information literacy and Hubermas' theory of public space. The Paseban village community has implemented the IFLA information literacy standard in supporting its work, from the access, evaluation, to usage stages.

Abstract

The meaning of secret mail in this research is to keep an organization or a team decision from the superior to the staff  in order hide and may not know by another person. Closed secret mail intend to success the organization activity, not make a riot at the public and not make a fail to protect organization’s secret information. Secret information must be protect from interest people to take it away. The problem want to study is the thing about secret mail’s protectionbase on resources of correspondence at Education and Training Center for Mineral and Coal. The author will commitment the secret mail’s treatment with strategic simulation and observe how to create top secret. The research method used in this article is qualitative method with action research study. This research using the technique of prime data collection with observe, depth interview and document study. The author research: manage the secret mail’s facility, the manager of secret mail, and the process to close the secret mail. The research’s result explain that secret mail’s equipment still not enough to protect secret mail such as there is no safes for the Memorandum of Understanding letter. Secret mail still get no perfect protection although that something easy to do such as laying the letter on the table. The integrity of secret mail management there is someone no realize that letter he/she made is the secret. The author can concluded that secret mail need safety action to protect it from other interest person.The protection that noticed secret mail’s means store for guarantee.Surat rahasia dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil keputusan suatu organisasi atau tim dari pimpinan kepada stafnya untuk dijaga agar isi informasi tersebut tersembunyi dan tidak boleh diketahui oleh orang lain. Informasi tertutup dimaksudkan suatu operasi tidak gagal, masyarakat tidak gaduh dan tidak gagal melindungi isisurat rahasia tersebut. Isi informasi rahasia dilindungi dari orang berkepentingan menguasai surat rahasia. Perumusan masalah yang diajukan adalah hal yang berkenaan mengenai hal pengamanan surat rahasia di Pusat Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Mineral dan Batubara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan di tulisan ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan riset aksi. Penelitian menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data utama dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi. Penulis teliti mengenai tempat pengelola surat rahasia, pelaku pengelola surat dan aktivitas buat surat rahasia. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan sarana dan prasarana surat rahasia masih kurang melindungi surat rahasia seperti tidak ada brankas surat rahasia kerja sama. Pengamanan surat rahasia mendapatkan perlakuan kurang sempurna walau pengamanan tersebut hal yang mudah seperti meletakkan surat rahasia di atas meja. Integritas pengelola surat rahasia masih kurang seperti tidak tahu surat yang dibuatnya adalah rahasia. Penulis dapat simpulkan bahwa surat rahasia butuh tindakan yang aman untuk melindungi surat rahasia tidak dikuasai oleh orang yang berkepentingan.

Abstract

This research purpose is to explain “Sanggar Sastra” activities at Rumah Puisi Taufiq Ismail in order to support behavior of writing literature among students, especially in Padang Panjang and Bukittinggi, West Sumatera. The method used is survey. Respondents in this research are twenty five senior high school students in Padang Panjang whom participate to “Sanggar Sastra” for a month. This research shows that an internal factor such as; members’ interest and external factors; sanggar sastra’s teachers contributed to support behavior of writing literature among students. While the external factor such as the facilitation of “sanggar sastra” not directly give an contributed to support behavior of writing literature among students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan aktivitas “Sanggar Sastra” di Rumah Puisi Taufiq Ismail dalam mendukung perilaku menulis di kalangan pelajar, Padang panjang dan Bukittinggi, Sumatera Barat. Metode yang digunakan ialah survey. Responden dalam penelitian ini ialah 25 Sekolah Menangah Atas (SMA) di Padang Panjang yang berpartisipasi di “Sanggar Sastra” setiap bulannya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahawa faktor internal diantaranya; ketertarikan angora dan faktor eksternal; pengajar Sanggar Sastra yang berkontribusi mendukung prilaku menulis diantara pelajar. Sedangkan faktor eksternal yakni fasilitas Sanggar Sastra tidak berkontribusi dalam memberikan dukungan prilaku menulis diantara pelajar.

Abstract

The ‘Pandai Sikek’ weaving activity is a form of cultural communication through the maternal line (matrilineality) which upholds values and norms. Values and norms of the ‘songket’ culture are governed by the people’s belief that there was an ancestral sacred oath. The local people make information fosters the development of knowledge. This promotes the transformation of knowledge as a form of local knowledge development of the Pandai Sikek community which is fully supported by the community and by the use of media as well. The purpose of this study was to look at the communication pattern of the weaver, employer and government in the transformation process of local knowledge. The research method used was qualitative with ethnographic approach. The main data were collected by unstructured interview, observation and documentation study. The communication pattern among weavers was circular, involving experience, information sharing, application, knowledge, and innovation. Study results indicated the existence of a pattern by the weaver’s community, were experiences shared through information sharing, and then applied to create knowledge. The use of knowledge would result in innovation and then became an experience again.  Entrepreneurs became the bridge for cooperation to support the economy of society. The government issued a policy of protection and knowledge preservation through HAKI (Intellectual Property Rights). In conclusion, the transformation of knowledge continues to develop the socio-economic life of society containing values, norms, and beliefs, which has been performed from generation to generation.

Abstract

This thesis is titled “Tourism Information Searching Behaviours Of Domestic Tourist In The City Of Bandung Rumah Mode”. The method used in this thesis is a qualititative method. Study of theory used in this study is Information Seeking Behavior Theory (Wilson). Data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation study. From the observation of researchers by going directly to the Rumah Mode, tourist arrivals generally have an incentive and motivation that is fulfill the shopping needs with a variety of branded clothing and underwear from young to old. Knowledge about the safety of domestic tourist on Rumah Mode actually varied according to what they are looking. So far the treatment of domestic tourist to the information that was obtained was made of feed back to the Rumah Mode. The general interest of domestic tourist to come to Rumah Mode is almost the same, because tourist can see bt itself on the facilities provided for the convenience of Rumah Mode tourist. Satisfaction at Rumah Mode is calssified into three aspects of satisfaction. Namely, satisfaction with the quality of goods, price and service the Rumah Mode. So far, the tourist were satisfied with what already exist in the Rumah Mode, but there are also tourists who are not satisfied because there is little interference due to renovation of the parking lot.Skripsi ini berjudul “Perilaku Pencarian Informasi Pariwisata Para Wisatawan Domestik Kota Bandung di Rumah Mode”. Metode yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah metode kualitatif. Kajian teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teori Information Seeking Behavior (Wilson). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Dari hasil observasi peneliti dengan terjun langsung ke Rumah Mode ini, umumnya wisatawan yang datang mempunyai tujuan dan motivasi yaitu memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya dengan berbelanja aneka pakaian dan celana yang bermerk dari kalangan muda sampai kalangan tua. Pengetahuan wisatawan domestik tentang keamanan Rumah Modesejauh ini umumnya merasa nyaman. Dilihat dari segi aspek parkir, keamanan dan pelayanannya Rumah Mode sudah memberikan yang terbaik. Pengalaman wisatawan domestik tentang Rumah Mode ini sebenarnya beraneka ragam sesuai dengan kebutuhan yang mereka cari. Sejauh ini perlakuan wisatawan domestik terhadap informasi yang sudah di dapat memang membuat adanya feed back kepada Rumah Mode. Pada umumnya ketertarikan wisatawan domestik untuk datang ke Rumah Mode ini hampir sama, karena wisatawan dapat melihat dengan sendirinya tentang apa saja fasilitas yang disediakan dari Rumah Mode untuk kenyamanan wisatawannya. Kepuasan berada di Rumah Mode ini tergolong terjadi tiga aspek kepuasan. Yaitu, kepuasan terhadap kualitas barang, kepuasan terhadap kualitas harga, dan yang terakhir kualitas terhadap aspek pelayanan Rumah Mode tersebut. Sejauh ini, wisatawan merasa puas dengan apa yang sudah ada di Rumah Mode ini, namun ada juga wisatawan yang merasa tidak puas karena adanya sedikit gangguan akibat renovasi lapangan parkir di dalam Rumah Mode ini.

Abstract

The quality of the library service refers to the needs of users. Therefore, a good service is a service that can meet the needs and wishes of the user. Then a good library is a library which is able to provide services to every pemustaka quickly and accurately. Now the theory that is used in this study among others: service quality, the dimension of the quality of service, the determining factors in the quality of service and supervision. The discussion is a total quality services can be influenced by several factors among others: word of "communication, personal need, good past experience, external communications to customer. The conclusion is that there are several factors that can improve the quality of the service on an institution that is the purpose of the organization, incentive system that used the system accountability and power structures. As an institution that performs the activity of the ministry and the library has an obligation to continually improve the quality of the service in order to meet the needs of users.Kualitas layanan perpustakaan mengacu kepada kebutuhan pemustaka. Oleh sebab itu, layanan yang baik adalah layanan yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dan harapan pemustaka. Maka perpustakaan yang baik merupakan perpustakaan yang dapat memberikan pelayanan kepada setiap pemustaka secara cepat dan tepat. Adapun teori yang digunakan dalam kajian ini antara lain: Kualitas pelayanan, dimensi kualitas pelayanan, faktor penentu kualitas pelayanan dan pengawasan. Pembahasannya adalah Kualitas total suatu jasa dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor antara lain: word of mouth communication, personal need, past experience, external communications to customer. Kesimpulannya adalah Ada beberapa faktor yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas layanan pada sebuah lembaga yaitu tujuan  organisasi,  sistem  insentif  yang dipakai, sistem akuntabilitas dan struktur kekuasaan. Sebagai   sebuah   lembaga   yang   melakukan aktifitas pelayanan, maka perpustakaan berkewajiban untuk senantiasa meningkatkan kualitas layanannya, agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dari para pemustaka.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the knowledge level of the society around Bosscha Observatory in Lembang about light pollution. The research was conducted using a survey method to  98 respondents in Lembang Village, Lembang District, West Bandung District. Based on the results of the research, it is revealed that the knowledge level  of the Society  around  Bosscha Observatory Lembang about light pollution is categorized as high. It is based on the research on four dimensions of knowledge with high results for factual, conceptual, and procedural knowledge, thus  indicating that the public knows well the term, indicators, causes, disorder, harmful nature, the countermeasure solution , the countermeasure techniques, and the criteria of when to apply the  procedure of light pollution countermeasure. Then, the next is medium results for metacognition knowledge indicating that the public knows enough information resources, the importance of countermeasures, and the awareness of the knowledge about light pollution. Therefore  the society is expected to be wiser in using artificial light and contribute to reducing light pollution. Keywords: Knowledge, Light Pollution, Bosscha Observatory

Abstract

This research aims to find out motives to become Sundanese Writers, self meaning construction of Sundanese Writers as culture preservators and message presenting process of Sundanese Writers as culture preservators. This research used qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data was gained through a series of indepth interviews with eight informants as Sundanese Writers in Bandung City, and also from nonparticipant observation and literature study. The informants of this research are classified into two types, these are Sundanese Culture Inheritors and Sundanese Culture Developers. The results of this study indicated that the main motive to become a Sundanese Writers is idealism, which consists of aspects of driving and the aspects of expectation. The self meaning of Sundanese Writers as culture preservators was constructed into two types, these are Sundanese Culture Inheritors and Sundanese Culture Developers. Message presenting process of Sundanese Writers as culture preservators were done by involving steps commonly done by writers to produce a writing. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan motif menjadi Penulis Sunda, konstruksi makna diri Penulis Sunda sebagai pelestari budaya dan proses penyampaian pesan Penulis Sunda sebagai Pelestari Budaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi fenomenologi. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan delapan Penulis Sunda yang berada di Kota Bandung, juga melalui observasi nonpartisipan dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa motif utama menjadi Penulis Sunda adalah idealisme kesundaan, yang terbagi ke dalam aspek pendorong dan aspek harapan. Konstruksi makna diri Penulis Sunda sebagai pelestari budaya terbagi menjadi Pewaris Budaya Sunda dan Pengembang Budaya Sunda. Proses penyampaian pesan Penulis Sunda sebagai Pelestari Budaya dilakukan melalui tahapan yang umum dilakukan penulis untuk menghasilkan suatu tulisan.

Abstract

Lontar an ancient manuscript that is made from the leaves tal, in addition to the palm as well as a very important source of information for the public, because of the ejection public can obtain information or documentation and proof of the important events that occurred during the days ago. Papyrus manuscripts in Klungkung regency given hundreds of years old as the central government of Klungkung regency of Bali in the past or in the days of empire. Lontar in Klungkung regency is still in good condition or it can be clearly read the letter. The theory used in this research is the theory of preservation and the method used is a qualitative method that aims to study the processes of preservation preventive and curative papyrus manuscripts based on local wisdom based system of values, tare method and conditions; and assess the role of local government in the preservation of papyrus manuscripts based lokal.Subjek wisdom in this study as many as seven people respectively two pedanda / sulinggih / pastor, stakeholders, practitioners papyrus and one from the Department of Cultural district voters Klungkung.Teknik informants by way of technical snowball (snowball sampling). The findings indicate papyrus manuscript preservation in Klungkung regency in the manufacturing process should use the good ejection accompanied by offerings or offerings. Lontar stored on taksu in merajan shrine or temple shrines of storage in which each day dihaturkan offerings or offerings in addition also every six months during the festival of Saraswati, during the festival of Saraswati also conducted cleanup on kropak and shrine (where the palm). Lontar damaged in Klungkung regency will do transiliterasi or rewriting of the strands ejection ejection damaged in storage (in merajan or temple) to deliver to the offering or offerings first. The conclusion from this study that the preservation of preventive manuscript ejection in Klungkung regency with nurturing and caring for palm every day menghaturkan offerings or offerings in storage areas ejection in addition also perform ceremonies every six months during the festival of Saraswati, preservation curative manuscript ejection in Klungkung do relaxation, discolor letter ejection and overcome faulty ejection do transiliterasi or writing back in palm leaves, there has never been the role of local governments in the Klungkung regency papyrus manuscript preservation activities.Lontar merupakan naskah masa lampau yang terbuat dari daun tal, disamping itu lontar juga sebagai sumber informasi yang sangat penting bagi masyarakat, karena dari lontar masyarakat dapat memperoleh informasi atau dokumentasi dan bukti dari peristiwa-peristiwa penting yang terjadi dimasa silam. Manuskrip lontar yang ada di Kabupaten Klungkung berumur ratusan tahun mengingat kabupaten Klungkung sebagai pusat pemerintahan pulau Bali di masa lampau atau pada jaman kerajaan. Lontar yang ada di Kabupaten Klungkung hingga saat ini masih dalam kondisi yang bagus atau dapat terbaca dengan jelas hurufnya. Teori yang di digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori preservation dan Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji proses preservasi preventif dan kuratif manuskrip lontar berbasis kearifan lokal berdasarkan sistem nilai, tara cara dan ketentuan khusus; serta mengkaji peran serta pemerintah daerah dalam preservasi manuskrip lontar berbasis kearifan lokal.Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak tujuh orang yaitu masing-masing dua orang pedanda/sulinggih/pendeta, pemangku, praktisi lontar dan satu orang dari Dinas Kebudayaan Kabupaten Klungkung.Teknik pemilih informan dilakukan dengan cara teknik bola salju (snowball sampling). Hasil temuan menunjukkan preservasi manuskrip lontar di Kabupaten Klungkung dalam proses pembuatan lontar harus menggunakan hari baik yang disertai dengan banten atau sesajen. Lontar tersimpan pada pelinggih taksu di merajan atau gedong penyimpanan di pura yang setiap hari dihaturkan banten atau sesajen disamping pula setiap enam bulan pada hari raya Saraswati, pada hari raya Saraswati dilakukan pula pembersihan pada kropak dan pelinggih (tempat penyimpanan lontar). Lontar yang rusak di Kabupaten Klungkung akan dilakukan transiliterasi atau penulisan kembali pada helai lontar yang rusak pada tempat penyimpanan lontar (di merajan atau pura) dengan menghaturkan sesajen atau banten terlebih dahulu. Preservasi kuratif manuskrip lontar di Kabupaten Klungkung dalam proses pelemasan dan menghitamkan lontar mempergunakan minyak serei dicampur kemiri, sedangkan untuk mengatasi lontar yang rusak di Kabupaten Klungkung akan langsung melakukan transliterasi atau penulisan kembali pada helai lontar yang rusak yang dilakukan oleh ahli penulis aksara (huruf) bali. Peran serta pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Klungkung tidak pernah ikut berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan preservasi manuskrip lontar. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa preservasi preventif manuskrip lontar di Kabupaten Klungkung dengan memelihara dan merawat lontar setiap hari menghaturkan sesajen atau banten pada tempat penyimpanan lontar disamping pula melakukan upacara setiap enam bulan pada hari raya Saraswati, preservasi kuratif manuskrip lontar di Kabupaten Klungkung dilakukan pelemasan, menghitamkan huruf lontar dan mengatasi lontar yang rusak dilakukan transiliterasi atau penulisan kembali di daun lontar, belum pernah ada peran serta pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Klungkung dalam kegiatan preservasi manuskrip lontar.

Abstract

The library is prone to vandalism towards library collections. The Faculty of Communication Sciences library as a university library often experiences vandalism, ranging from labeling, tearing up, page folding, delay in returning books, and loss of books. This study aimed to determine the cognitive aspects of the sub-variables of knowledge and understanding of users on the act of vandalism in the Library of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University. The research method used descriptive survey method through a quantitative approach. This study included 121 respondents consisting of students of Faculty of Communication Sciences, class of 2015 who were selected using simple random sampling technique with distribution of respondent composition: Public Relations 10 respondents, Communication Sciences 47 respondents, Information and Library Science 22 respondents, Journalism 16 respondents, Communication Management 18 respondents, and TV and Film 8 respondents. Study results showed that the cognitive aspects of the users in the act of vandalism were in the category of high and favorable, the users had knowledge and understanding which supported according to the statement about the attitude proposed against acts of vandalism. Based on knowledge indicators, data obtained showed respondents did not agree with vandalism act, while based on the indicators of understanding, data obtained showed respondents agree that vandalism could harm the library users. Overall, the attitude of users is in the favorable category meaning that library users support disagreement on vandalism in the Library of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University.
