Abstract

This research is about how the site of a role in information www.fotografer.net meet the needs of the user. The purpose of this research is to know the extent to which the intensity of users, content information, and display the website plays a role in meeting the information needs of users. A method of research used is descriptive to describe or expose variables become the object of his research. The technique of adoption the data used in this research comes from two sources of primary data that is obtained via the question form the sampling method of total number of census 54 respondents and secondary data obtained through interviews with the managers of the site www.fotografer.net, observations in the field, as well as the study of librarianship. The results of this research stated that the role of the site www.fotografer.net assess the intensity of the user, the message contents, and appearance are good enough in meeting information needs.Penelitian ini adalah mengenai bagaimana situs www.fotografer.net berperan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pengguna. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana intensitas pengguna, isi informasi, dan tampilan yang terdapat pada website berperan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pengguna. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif yang dimaksudkan untuk menggambarkan atau memaparkan variabel-variabel yang menjadi objek penelitiannya. Teknik pengambilan  data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari dari dua sumber yaitu data primer yang diperoleh melalui angket metode total sampling/sensus dengan jumlah responden 54 orang, dan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan pihak pengelola situs www.fotografer.net, observasi di lapangan, serta studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa peran situs www.fotografer.net menilai intensitas pengguna, isi pesan, dan tampilan sudah cukup baik dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi.

Abstract

Implementation of automation systems in the library make it easy access for students and can improve the quality of its services. SDIT Luqman Al-Hakim International Yogyakarta’s Library has implemented an IBRA V6 automation system in a library services. However, this library still often do the service manually although it is automated. Therefore, evaluation of IBRA V6 automation system in library is needed. This study aims to evaluate the performance of IBRA V6 based library automation system on the circulation section of SDIT Library Luqman Al-Hakim Internasional Yogyakarta. The method of research is a qualitative approach that focuses on the process of circulation, borrowing and return collection. Data collection techniques use observation, interview and documentation. This research is based on service performance theory then formulated with theory of success model of DeLone & McLean system which got 5 indicator from 3 Aspect that is supporting facilities, system quality, operational, service and resultant impact. Of the five indicators are obtained the result that the first indicator of supporting facilities was adequate, but the space was very tightso that the overall service is less. As for other indicators obtained good results, effective and efficient. So the conclusion researchers that the performance of IBRA V6 based library automation system on the circulation process in the library of SDIT Luqman Al Hakim International is good.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the role of space, furniture and accessories, colors, lighting and air circulation in growing interest to Goethe Institut Bandung library’s room. The method used is quantitative. The population in this study are all members of the library throughout the Goethe Institut Bandung. Sampling used in this research is purposive sampling with a sample size of 60 people. The location of this research is the Goethe Institut Bandung Library. The analytical method used in this research is categories analysis and cross tabulation analysis. The results of this research indicate that the library space was instrumental in growing interest to the library’s room. The furniture and accessories of the library was instrumental in growing interest to library’s room. The colors used in the library quite instrumental in growing interest to library’s room. The lighting in the library was instrumental in growing interest to library’s room. Air Circulation in the library space was instrumental in growing interest to library’s room Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran ruang, furnitur dan aksesori, warna, pencahayaan dan sirkulasi udara dalam menumbuhkan minat ke perpustakaan Goethe Institut Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anggota perpustakaan di Goethe Institut Bandung. Sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 60 orang. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah Perpustakaan Goethe Institut Bandung. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kategori dan analisis tabulasi silang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ruang perpustakaan berperan penting dalam menumbuhkan minat ke perpustakaan. Furnitur dan aksesori dari perpustakaan berperan penting dalam menumbuhkan minat ke perpustakaan. Warna-warna yang digunakan di perpustakaan cukup berperan dalam meningkatkan minat ke perpustakaan. Pencahayaan di perpustakaan berperan penting dalam menumbuhkan minat ke perpustakaan. Sirkulasi udara di ruang perpustakaan berperan penting dalam menumbuhkan minat ke perpustakaan.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT This study about designing of  annotated bibliography Debus Banten used documentation activity step. The purpose of this study is to identifying elements of Debus culture, collecting information resources of Debus culture, knowing standard of cataloguing rules in Indonesia now, knowing classification type that commonly used to bibliography, knowing the rules of abstract for support manufacture of bibliography of  Debus. The method used is action research, with designing of annotated bibliography of Debus. Data collecting technique used is observation, informal interviews, and publicities literature. The result of this study that in designing a bibliography of Debus is identifying Debus, collecting information resources related to Debus. After that designing a bibliography using the standard rules of bibliography in national library Republik Indonesia now, is DDC 23 (classification) and AACR2 (cataloguing). This study is resulting a secondary documents is bibliography of Debus Banten. Bibliography of Debus has been tested public to student of faculty of Adab dan Humanities UIN Syarif Hidayatullah and the result is positif, bibliography of Debus can be used by information seekers.

Abstract

This research is about to understanding the role of a library concept “The Reading Room”. The primary purpose of this research is to determine the extend to which room comfort, cafeteria, facility, and book collection play a significant role to enchance one’s motivation to read. The chosen method to carry out this research is using a survey method of variable list that we have chosen to be an important factor. In addition, the data collection method we have chosen consist of two sources. The primary data is taken from a survey with 60 people of respondent, and the secondary data is obtained by conducting interview with the owners and managers of the location itself, fields observation and library research. From the result of this research, we can confidently conclude that room comfort, cafeteria, facility and book collection have proven to be a good factor to which support the interesting of people to read.Penelitian ini mengenai peran penerapan konsep library cafe di The Reading Room dalam menunjang minat baca. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peranan kenyamanan ruang, fasilitas, layanan kafetaria, dan koleksi yang tersedia di The Reading Room dalam menunjang minat baca. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei yang dimaksudkan untuk menggambarkan atau memaparkan variabel-variabel yang menjadi objek penelitian. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari dua sumber, yaitu data primer yang diperoleh melalui angket dengan jumlah responden 60 orang, dan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan pemilik serta pengelola The Reading Room, observasi di lapangan, serta studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa pengunjung The Reading Room menilai kenyamanan ruang, fasilitas, kafetaria, dan koleksi yang tersedia di library cafe The Reading Room sudah cukup baik dalam menunjang minat baca.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out the information management at Garut Department of   Communication   and   Informaticts   as   an effort to fulfill the information needs of Garut citizens. Garut Department of Communication and   Informaticts   is   a   facility   in   managing and   providing   the government   information, region    development,    and    social    needs    in Garut regency. Qualitative is used as a method in this research as observation, interview, and literary study were the techniques for collecting the  data.  The  main  focus  on  this  research  is the transformation process which starts from data collecting, data processing, information analysis, and information dissemination and information presentation to data documentation/ data recording which describe information management conduction at Garut Department of  Communication and  Informaticts. From the research, it was discovered that data collecting process was conducted by three steps; data collecting  planning,  data  searching  from  the field directly, and indirect data search. The data processing was conducted by sortation, editing, validating, and processing using computer. Information analysis  was  conducted  based  on checking and reviewing rationally towards the information  contents.  The  result  which  was ready presented and disseminated well directly or indirectly. The data documentation/ data recording process were conducted by manually and electronically. The conclusion of this research is that the information management at Garut  Department of Communication a Informaticts has been conducted appropriately and it is resulting advantageous information for all citizens of Garut regency. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui informasi management di Garut Departemen Komunikasi dan Informaticts sebagai upaya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi dari warga Garut. Garut Departemen Komunikasi dan Informaticts adalah fasilitas dalam mengelola dan menyediakan informasi pemerintah, pembangunan daerah, dan kebutuhan sosial di Kabupaten Garut. Kualitatif dan digunakan sebagai metode dalam penelitian ini sebagai pengamatan, wawancara, dan studi sastra adalah teknik-teknik untuk mengumpulkan data. Fokus utama pada penelitian ini adalah proses transformasi yang mulai dari pengumpulan data, data processing, analisis informasi, dan penyebaran informasi dan presentasi informasi ke dokumentasi data/ rekaman data yang menerangkan komplek penghantaran manajemen informasi di Garut Departemen Komunikasi dan Informaticts. Dari research, ditemukan bahwa proses pengumpulan data dilaksanakan oleh tiga langkah; perencanaan pengumpulan data, data mencari dari lapangan secara langsung, dan pencarian data tidak langsung. Pemrosesan data yang dilakukan oleh sortation, mengedit, memvalidasi, dan memproses menggunakan komputer. Analisis informasi ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan memeriksa dan meninjau rasional terhadap isi informasi. Hasil yang telah siap mempresentasikan dan disebarluaskan dengan baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Dokumentasi data/ rekaman data dilaksanakan secara manual dengan proses dan secara elektronik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa manajemen informasi di Garut Departemen Komunikasi sebuah Informaticts telah dilakukan dengan benar dan ia merupakan hasillevel informasi bermanfaat untuk semua warga negara dari Kabupaten Garut.

Abstract

This study discusses whether the reference service owned by the Universitas Indonesia (UI) Library can be used as a representation of other college libraries. This representation can be seen based on user perception in the University of Indonesia Library of the reference service and also seen from the strategy undertaken by the University of Indonesia Library in improving the quality of their reference service. This research is a qualitative research using case study method. The results of this study indicate that the reference service Library University of Indonesia can be used as a representation of the library of universities, because the University of Indonesia Library managed to make their reference services become more active and more innovative by bringing various innovations in it to get closer to the user. In addition, users also express their opinions regarding reference services in the University of Indonesia Library, this will further strengthen the purpose of this research is a reference service as a representation of the University of Indonesia Library. It is expected that with the innovation made by UI Library to its reference service will make the reference service become the representation of the library itself especially from the user side, because the representation of the reference service is very important to realize the main purpose of university in Indonesia known as Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi is education, research and community service.

Abstract

This research purpose is to explain “Sanggar Sastra” activities at Rumah Puisi Taufiq Ismail in order to support behavior of writing literature among students, especially in Padang Panjang and Bukittinggi, West Sumatera. The method used is survey. Respondents in this research are twenty five senior high school students in Padang Panjang whom participate to “Sanggar Sastra” for a month. This research shows that an internal factor such as; members’ interest and external factors; sanggar sastra’s teachers contributed to support behavior of writing literature among students. While the external factor such as the facilitation of “sanggar sastra” not directly give an contributed to support behavior of writing literature among students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan aktivitas “Sanggar Sastra” di Rumah Puisi Taufiq Ismail dalam mendukung perilaku menulis di kalangan pelajar, Padang panjang dan Bukittinggi, Sumatera Barat. Metode yang digunakan ialah survey. Responden dalam penelitian ini ialah 25 Sekolah Menangah Atas (SMA) di Padang Panjang yang berpartisipasi di “Sanggar Sastra” setiap bulannya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahawa faktor internal diantaranya; ketertarikan angora dan faktor eksternal; pengajar Sanggar Sastra yang berkontribusi mendukung prilaku menulis diantara pelajar. Sedangkan faktor eksternal yakni fasilitas Sanggar Sastra tidak berkontribusi dalam memberikan dukungan prilaku menulis diantara pelajar.

Abstract

The ‘Pandai Sikek’ weaving activity is a form of cultural communication through the maternal line (matrilineality) which upholds values and norms. Values and norms of the ‘songket’ culture are governed by the people’s belief that there was an ancestral sacred oath. The local people make information fosters the development of knowledge. This promotes the transformation of knowledge as a form of local knowledge development of the Pandai Sikek community which is fully supported by the community and by the use of media as well. The purpose of this study was to look at the communication pattern of the weaver, employer and government in the transformation process of local knowledge. The research method used was qualitative with ethnographic approach. The main data were collected by unstructured interview, observation and documentation study. The communication pattern among weavers was circular, involving experience, information sharing, application, knowledge, and innovation. Study results indicated the existence of a pattern by the weaver’s community, were experiences shared through information sharing, and then applied to create knowledge. The use of knowledge would result in innovation and then became an experience again.  Entrepreneurs became the bridge for cooperation to support the economy of society. The government issued a policy of protection and knowledge preservation through HAKI (Intellectual Property Rights). In conclusion, the transformation of knowledge continues to develop the socio-economic life of society containing values, norms, and beliefs, which has been performed from generation to generation.

Abstract

This thesis is titled “Tourism Information Searching Behaviours Of Domestic Tourist In The City Of Bandung Rumah Mode”. The method used in this thesis is a qualititative method. Study of theory used in this study is Information Seeking Behavior Theory (Wilson). Data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation study. From the observation of researchers by going directly to the Rumah Mode, tourist arrivals generally have an incentive and motivation that is fulfill the shopping needs with a variety of branded clothing and underwear from young to old. Knowledge about the safety of domestic tourist on Rumah Mode actually varied according to what they are looking. So far the treatment of domestic tourist to the information that was obtained was made of feed back to the Rumah Mode. The general interest of domestic tourist to come to Rumah Mode is almost the same, because tourist can see bt itself on the facilities provided for the convenience of Rumah Mode tourist. Satisfaction at Rumah Mode is calssified into three aspects of satisfaction. Namely, satisfaction with the quality of goods, price and service the Rumah Mode. So far, the tourist were satisfied with what already exist in the Rumah Mode, but there are also tourists who are not satisfied because there is little interference due to renovation of the parking lot.Skripsi ini berjudul “Perilaku Pencarian Informasi Pariwisata Para Wisatawan Domestik Kota Bandung di Rumah Mode”. Metode yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah metode kualitatif. Kajian teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teori Information Seeking Behavior (Wilson). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Dari hasil observasi peneliti dengan terjun langsung ke Rumah Mode ini, umumnya wisatawan yang datang mempunyai tujuan dan motivasi yaitu memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya dengan berbelanja aneka pakaian dan celana yang bermerk dari kalangan muda sampai kalangan tua. Pengetahuan wisatawan domestik tentang keamanan Rumah Modesejauh ini umumnya merasa nyaman. Dilihat dari segi aspek parkir, keamanan dan pelayanannya Rumah Mode sudah memberikan yang terbaik. Pengalaman wisatawan domestik tentang Rumah Mode ini sebenarnya beraneka ragam sesuai dengan kebutuhan yang mereka cari. Sejauh ini perlakuan wisatawan domestik terhadap informasi yang sudah di dapat memang membuat adanya feed back kepada Rumah Mode. Pada umumnya ketertarikan wisatawan domestik untuk datang ke Rumah Mode ini hampir sama, karena wisatawan dapat melihat dengan sendirinya tentang apa saja fasilitas yang disediakan dari Rumah Mode untuk kenyamanan wisatawannya. Kepuasan berada di Rumah Mode ini tergolong terjadi tiga aspek kepuasan. Yaitu, kepuasan terhadap kualitas barang, kepuasan terhadap kualitas harga, dan yang terakhir kualitas terhadap aspek pelayanan Rumah Mode tersebut. Sejauh ini, wisatawan merasa puas dengan apa yang sudah ada di Rumah Mode ini, namun ada juga wisatawan yang merasa tidak puas karena adanya sedikit gangguan akibat renovasi lapangan parkir di dalam Rumah Mode ini.
