Abstract

The Around Zone of Situ Cisanti is in the arboretum 73 upstream of Ci Tarum River, there are seven springs that drain the water into Situ Cisanti. However, if the around zone destructively altered, there will be kiln drying of the springs. The purpose of this research are to determine the type of local wisdom that are still made by the society, to determine the distribution of zoning to reduce the pressure of population in protecting areas of land use, to determine the role of reformer agencies and society and the outcome of the efforts to preserve the around zone of Situ Cisanti, and to determine the implications of the research product in conservation and the role of society of Situ Cisanti region in learning Geography in SMA (High School)/ MA / equal. The method of the research is qualitative-verification through phenomenological approach, to seek and uncover the meaning behind the facts found. Even though the destructive activities in the forest of the around zone of Situ Cisanti almost happen in the case, there are still local wisdom in the society. Zoning the around zone of the lake is determined based on the slope and the distance that divided into six zones, with the three functions; the green zone, cultivation zone, and interaction zone. The struggle of change agents and the society can be inspiration for the students to understand, conscious, care, and take action to preserve the environment, so it appears change agent of environmental. The results of this study can be instructional materials for learning in school are expected to make the learner friendly to the environment.

Abstract

SIG merupakan aplikasi yang dikembangkan untuk memecahkan persoalan yang berkaitan dengan permukaan bumi. Namun, dalam perkembangannya SIG sangat diandalkan dalam membantu kegiatan pembelajaran yang terkait dengan aspek spasial. Geografi merupakan mata pelajaran yang fokusnya pada pengembangan berpikir spasial, sehingga SIG menjadi sistem pendukung yang sangat diandalkan. Pemanfaatan SIG dalam mengembangkan berpikir spasial tersebut telah diuji kehandalannya dalam sejumlah penelitian yang menunjukkan adanya kontribusi positif SIG dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir spasial.

Abstract

Learning geography in SMA Negeri 1 Peusangan Selatan using local wisdom knowledge as a source of learning has never been applied before. Use of local wisdom knowledge in the topic Rumoh Aceh disaster mitigation is using studytour method and audio visual media of video. Research purposes to analyze the understanding of the concept of disaster mitigation learners grade X through Rumoh Aceh before and after learning by using the studytour method and video in the learning process in SMA Negeri 1 Peusangan Selatan Kabupaten Bireuen. This research uses a type of quantitative research with experimental approach. The population in this research the entire SMA Negeri 1 Peusangan Selatan learners in even-numbered years semester lesson 2014/2015, research sample learners class X IS as much as 48 students by purposive sampling technique.  Data collection techniques using tests, student worksheets, and question form. Technique of data analysis using statistical test of normality, homogeneity and T-test with the help of SPSS Statistic 21. The results showed that 1) there is a difference in learning outcomes understanding of the concept of disaster mitigation on learners who use Rumoh Aceh as a learning resource by using the studytour method of experiment class before and after the treatment. 2) there is a difference in learning outcomes understanding of the concept of disaster mitigation on learners who use Rumoh Aceh as a learning resource by using the video of control class before and after the treatment. 3) learners responses against learning activities using the studytour method is very good. Implementation of the studytour method have constraints related to preparation and implementation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the extent of globalization competition which requires students to have creative thinking skills in finding solutions of all life problems. To overcome those things, the efforts need to be made, hence, one of them is by using problem-based learning. Research was conducted in class X in SMAN Negeri 2 Bandung with 54 students participated in this research. Furthermore, this study used quantitative research with experimental approaches. The techniques for data collection was done by using the test (pretest and posttest), non-test (attitude scale with Likert category), and the teachers and learners observation sheet. Data analysis techniques were done with the help of SPSS for Windows version 20.0 to test data normality, data homogeneity and t-test. The findings showed that 1) before and after treatment was given, there were differences in the results of tests of creative thinking skills in the classroom using problem-based learning, 2) before and after treatment was given, this was revealed that there were differences in the results of tests of creative thinking skills in the class that did not use problem based learning, 3) there was no difference in the results of tests of creative thinking skills in the classroom use and are not using problem-based learning before treatment is given, 4) after treatment was given, this was found that there were differences in the results of tests of creative thinking skills between the class which used and which did not used problem-based learning.

Abstract

Masih kurangnya pemanfaatan media dalam prose pembelajaran yang berhubungan dengan ruang, akibatnya kemampuan spatial literacy peserta didik kurang berkembang. Peserta didik cenderung pasif dan cepat merasa bosan mengikuti pembelajaran. Rendahnya spatial literacy peserta didik dapat menyebabkan mereka kurang cermat dalam hal mengambil keputusan dan memecahkan masalah keruangan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini dilakukan berkaitan dengan pemanfaatan media peta dalam pembelajaran IPS di SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI. Penelitian ini merupakan ekperimen kuasi menggunakan desain nonequivalent groups pre test - post tes pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas IV SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes dan angket. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media peta dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan spatial literacy peserta didik. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan jumlah benar pada setiap indikator spatial literacy yang diberikan. Indikator tersebut adalah menentukan lokasi, mengidentifikasi orientasi keruangan, menentukan jarak terdekat serta mengidentifikasi objek melalui simbol-simbol pada peta. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi saran bagi guru dan pihak sekolah untuk terus memfasilitasi pembelajaran IPS dengan media yang sesuai terutama media peta untuk materi yang terkait dengan ruang, sehingga dapat meningkatkan spatial literacy peserta didik.

Abstract

In an era of globalization of environmental sustainability issues into one focus of attention. All components agreed to lift the attitude and wisdom in the environment that need to transfer knowledge through educational institutions. Understanding the form of the values in the learning process needs to be passed on to each generation. On that basis, the study was conducted under the title "Influence of Outdoor Learning Method Study in Kampung Naga Against Environmental Conservation Concept Training Students of Class VIII MTsN Singaparna". The goal was to determine the students understanding of the concept of environmental conservation with learning methods Outdoors Study and as a source of learning is Kampung Naga in Tasikmalaya district. Selection of Kampung Naga as a place to do experiments because Kampung Naga is one example of the village managed to preserve the natural environment. The method used in this quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest Equivalent Groups. The study sample consisted of two classes of class VIII B as a class experiment by utilizing Kampung Naga through learning methods Outdoors Study and VIII A as a control class by utilizing Kampung Naga through learning methods Gallery Walk.

Abstract

Padang are subduction plate zone between Hindia-Austalia and Eurasia, its about 200 km from west off the coast of Padang. This condition makes Padang on high risk on dealing natural disaster issue such as earthquake which triggered landslide that cuts road in Padang and create chaos for people around. Geography are needed for student to acknowledged the things that happen before and after disaster and called disaster mitigation to create human behavior when such disaster happen around them, especially for student. Research conducted in public and private high school in Padang. Samples takes 11 schools picked randomly using random sampling. Research being process using descriptive research. And the results are students in Padang did not aware the importance of learning about mitigation disaster for now. It means with a lot of things happens, students didn’t prepare their self in order to prevent any huge damage of disaster due to lack of information about it. When questioner being spread around the student it was found out that they feel hesitant on behavior during mitigation disaster. Therefore it is really important for teacher to inform, teach, train and create student’s behavior to minimizing any risk before, during and after earthquake and landslide happens.

Abstract

Penelitan dilatarbelakangi pentingnya kemampuan memecahkan masalah agar peserta didik membangun pemikiran konstruktif, sistematis, fokus dalam menganalisis masalah melalui model problem based leraning (PBL). Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Metode yang digunakan ekperimen dengan post-test only, non-equivalent control group design. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA IT As-Syifa Boarding School Subang. Sampel penelitan ini, kelas eksperimen XI IIS 1 jumlah 24 dan kelas kontrol XI IIS 2 jumlah  25. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homgenitas dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa: 1) tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan mendefinisikan masalah antara kelas eksperimen dengan kontrol; 2) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan mengiden-tifikasi masalah antara kelas eksperimen dengan kontrol; 3) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan merumuskan alternatif solusi masalah antara kelas eksperimen dengan kontrol; 4) tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menentukan solusi terbaik antara kelas eksperimen dengan kontrol; dan 5) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan memecahkanan masalah antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis, PBL berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah di SMA IT As-Syifa Boarding School Subang. Kemampuan memecahkan masalah melalui model PBL memerlukan sarana informasi yang bervariasi.
