Abstract

This study aims to determine the increased learning motivation of PGSD students of Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo after the implementation of the Quantum Teaching learning model. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of two cycles. Cycle (I) consists of the activities of Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection conducted during two meetings. Likewise with cycle (II), which is done during two meetings. Data collection techniques that are applied are observation techniques, filling out motivation learning questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data processing used is descriptive percentage. The results showed that there was an increase in the average score of the learning motivation of PGSD students of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo University A1 Semester 1 class from a score of 67.9% (cycle I) to 80.1% (cycle II) through the application of the Quantum Teaching learning model. The conclusion of this study is that there is an increase in learning motivation of PGSD students at Muhamamdiyah Sidoarjo University after the implementation of the Quantum Teaching learning model.

Abstract

Previous studies more engaged to the level of technology leadership and the characteristics of technological leadership practiced by leaders in the school, while the factors of a more comprehensive which include facilities for ICT, competence, and commitment of teachers in the practices of applying ICT in the management which contributes a great impact on the management duties of teachers in schools has not been studied in Malaysia. The purpose of this study is to identify whether there is a positive relationship between technology leadership, ICT facilities, competence, commitment and practice of applying ICT teachers with effective management duties of teachers in schools using ICT. This quantitative study involves 370 teachers in secondary schools in the Kedah state which were selected randomly. The findings from the analysis of the study using the smartPLS show that there is a significant relationship between the leadership of technology by principals in school and the effectiveness of teacher-management tasks using computers in management tasks. Leadership that practices high technology leadership features will have a positive impact on the effectiveness of ICT integration within the organization. Further study can be conducted with integrating UTAUT model to identify critical factors that contributing technology leadership in schools.

Abstract

Inaccuracy in the use of the model will cause saturation for students and students to be passive in learning. For that need to design more innovative learning, one of the selected learning model is JOSUA learning model that can increase activity in student learning activities and student learning outcomes. This research uses 4-D development model (Four D) which develops a learning device using JOSUA model. Data analysis in this research is done by using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that, the activities of students during the learning activities show active. Student responses to the JOSUA model (network, observation, simulation, and final repetition) show a good response. And there is an increase in the ability to write and speak students during the implementation of learning learning JOSUA Indonesian language (network, observation, simulation, and final repetition) can be said to increase.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the appropriateness and effectiveness of instructional media I-SCEM (Indonesia Song Culture Education Mobile) as Indonesian local songs recognition media. The method used in this research is quasi experimental design with one group pre-test - post-test pattern. The population is the whole students of Sendangmulyo 04 Semarang Elementary School and the sample is 91 V grade students of Sendangmulyo 04 Semarang Elementary School. The data was collected using test, data analysis with descriptive statistics technique and the measuring analysis with score gain analysis test. The results of material appropriateness and I-SCEM media is categorized as very feasible to be used in instructional purposes. Students’ mean score before using instructional media I-SCEM is 68,7, while after using the media is 78. Score improvement is 9,3 with score gain test is 0.46, it is categorized as medium interpretation. Based on the results of students’ learning and gain test, it can be concluded that using I-SCEM instructional media can improve students’ understanding of Indonesian local songs. Students are expected to be able to learn by themselves using I-SCEM instructional media. This research still needs further development especially in other cultural materials such as local cloths andhouses.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a learning package for Sciences Subject that can improve the critical thinking skill of the Elementary School Students. Therefore, in general, it can be categorized into a research and development. It can be done because of learning material with process skill to practice it not available. The learning package was developed by using 4-D model; defining, designing, developing, distributing. The subject in this study was learning material that will be tested in student of SD Raden Patah Surabaya. The result showed that learning material was valid, enforceability get good category with 100%. Student activites by using process get good too. The improvement of students’ critical thinking is consistent on 3 classes (IVA, IVB, and IVC), the significant and high improvement with the average of N-Gain of 0,75. The data of students’ responses showed that most of students (98,09%) are happy to the process skill based learning. Based on the results and findings of the research, it can be concluded that the developed learning package can be stated as a valid, practical, and effective learning package. The implication of the research is that the process skill based Sciences learning can improve students’ critical thinking skill.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to produce textbook products for Pancasila education subjects with a scientific approach. The development model adopted is the 4D model which consists of the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The define phase is a needs analysis for the purposes of preparing an initial draft of textbooks; the design stage is the selection of formats and the preparation of the initial design of textbooks; the develop phase contains textbook validation phase, revision phase 1, individual and small group test, revision phase 2, and real class test through Class Action Research. The variables that will be examined for improvement are increasing the ability to think critically in students. CAR is held for one semester which is divided into two cycles. The process of reporting research results is carried out after the CAR phase and data analysis is complete. Based on the analysis results obtained (1) Development of teaching materials for Pancasila education courses using the Scientific Approach (Scientific Approach) to improve the ability to think critically on students of Indonesian Language Education Study Program, IKIP Budi Utomo Malang has increased. The results of the research in cycle I obtained an average grade of 76.5 included in the good category. Cycle II, obtained an average grade of 83.4 included in the good category. The conclusion of this study is that there is an increase in the average value from cycle I to cycle II of 6.9%.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the application of learning problem base learning to improve social studies learning outcomes and student learning motivation in the Social Sciences Basic Concepts of Jember University. The research method uses a qualitative research paradigm with a classroom action research approach with the Kemmis and Mc Taggart spiral model with the flow of planning, action, observation and reflection carried out in cycle I and cycle II. Data collection techniques in research through interviews, observation, giving questionnaires, and tests. The results of the implementation of problem based learning learning activities in the first cycle were carried out with a percentage of 85%, and in the second cycle it was carried out with a percentage of 90%. Cognitive learning outcomes of students in the first cycle reached 80% with very good average scores above the KKM (minimum completeness criteria) set, and in cycle II with an average score reaching 100% with very good criteria. Learning motivation and cognitive learning outcomes of students in the basic concepts of social studies in the PGSD study program. Student learning motivation in the first cycle is very high and cycle II student learning motivation is very high after applying Problem based learning to the Basic Concepts of Social Sciences course.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the application of learning methods of problem base learning to improve learning outcomes and social care attitudes of VIII-D students of MTs Negeri Siodarjo in the Koran and subjects. The research method uses classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out through the stages of cycle I and cycle II. Data collection techniques in research through observation, tests of cognitive learning outcomes and giving questionnaires. The results of the implementation of the problem based learning method for the first cycle were carried out with good criteria and for the second cycle it was carried out with very good criteria. The cognitive learning outcomes of Al-Quran subjects and Hadith for VIII D students in the first cycle reached 88.20% who achieved a score above KKM (minimum completeness criteria) that is set, and in the second cycle reaches 100% that reaches a score above the KKM (minimum completeness criteria). Whereas the students' social care attitude after applying problem based learning learning method in the Al-Qurana and Hadith subjects has a social caring attitude with the category for students of class VIII-D MTS Negeri 1 Sidoarjo.

Abstract

This procedures is discussed about development social welfare and justice through education transformation in the 21st century. The development of social welfare and justice particularly in the context of education transformation within the framework of the modern education system demand leadership of teachers and leaders adaptable with the changes and existing condition in the social welfare and justice recognize the needs to be effective education Leaders. In accordance to development social welfare and justice, the requirements to familiar with research findings on the knowledge, skills, implementation tools, methods, and strategies useful for formulating vision direction and positive learning in the 21st century are necessities. This paper also discussed an emerging role and challenging of the 21st century education teachers and leaders required to transform the social welfare and justice. Major transformations required the 21st century leader to be a powerful learner, visionary, instructional and influential people. The 21st century leader is essential to have tools and methods to expect, inspect, direct, respect and reflect. The development social welfare and justice will need to concentrate on curriculum development, formative assessment, instruction, technology adaptability, culture and climate, professional development as well as effective supervision to make a massive improvement in development social welfare and justice
