Abstract

The function of vegetation is to reduce rain erosivity and surface flow by intercepting rainwater that falls on it. The surface of the land covered by vegetation will help the occurrence of rain interception. Rain interception is the retention of rainwater on the surface of the vegetation before water enters the soil or evaporates back into the atmosphere. The Mumbul Park area has grass and bush vegetation that can help interception so that it can maintain the availability of water in the soil and supply water discharge for several springs. The research was conducted in the Taman Mumbul area, Sangeh Village, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency, Bali Province. To estimate surface flow, the Rain-Flow Model Application method is used. From the results of the study, obtained an average runoff in flat land for grass growthform as much as 4,202 cc and shrubs as much as 4,083 cc, on sloping land in a row of 5,473 cc and 6,423 cc, and on sloping land as much as 16,443 cc and 12,325 cc. The waiting time for runoff growthform on flat land and shrubs are 20s and 22s respectively, sloping land 19s and 14s, and sloping land 11s and 10s. Groundwater content during the rainy season is 42.9%; 41.3%; 40.0%. The Taman Mumbul area has several springs with large debits, but during the dry season there is a decrease in spring discharge by 15% to 50%. Even though there is no drought during the dry season in the Mumbul Park area, the decline in the number of springs discharge is a warning to maintain ecosystem stability, especially the hydrological cycle.

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the financing and benefits of analyzing production factors for watermelon production in Subak Intaran Barat, Sanur Village, Denpasar City. The study was conducted by purposive sampling in the location of Subak Intaran Barat, South Denpasar. Determination of samples using simplerandom sampling as many as 31 people. The analytical method areused income analysis and multiple linear regression with cobbdouglass measurements. Based on the results of the analysis, the average costs incurred for an average of 101.6 total (TC) of Rp.14,795,000, and the farming benefits obtained by farmers on watermelon farming were  Rp.19,278,200 and R / C Average 2.30 so it's feasible for farming. For the average area of ??100 are, the costs incurred Rp.14,562,007, and the profit is Rp.18,937,593. The results on  factors of production decreases back to scale. The magnitude of the total coefficient value towards the regression from input is 0.921. This explains that the value of return to scale on watermelon farming in Subak Intaran Barat achieves decresing return to scale where every use is twice of organic fertilizer, insecticide, urea, and labor, then production will decrease less than twice. Production factors that can significantly increase watermelon production are seeds, functionides and ponska. This happens because the seeds used by farmers are superior seeds, besides the use of functionides is very effective in killing pests that can interfere with watermelon growth, while ponska helps in vegetative formation in watermelon because it is given at the beginning of plant growth.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the profile of Subak Buaji and to identify the inhibiting factors in maintaining the continuity of Subak Buaji, Kesiman Sub-District, East Denpasar District. The selection of research sites conducted intentionally and the determination of respondents conducted by the method of quota sampling with the number of respondents who set 30 people. The result of the discussion of Subak Buaji Profile is the only subak in Kelurahan Kesiman Denpasar Timur with the number of 147 members, with 140 farming area and the production of rice plant in Subak Buaji reaches 100,28 ton in one harvest season, subak Buaji divided into four farmer group among others Munduk Padang Gambu, Munduk Pak Sale, and Munduk Buaji. The inhibiting factors in maintaining the continuity of Subak Buaji are technical aspects related to inhibiting factors, namely lack of irrigation water supply and the rampant transfer of land function in Subak Buaji and lack of administrative or cooperative members of subak to ease the burden of farmers to grow crops. Suggested Concept Tri Hita Karana in Subak Buaji must continue to run and in make the guidelines for the farmers, make the farmers aware of the importance of water for life that should be on guard and preserved so that Subak Buaji survival remains steady. Establish different cropping patterns each year such as rice crops or rice crops, to overcome the shortage of water availability that occurs throughout the year in Subak Buaji.
