Abstract

This article aims to reveal and reinforce the importance of cultural literacy at school turn. This article uses literature study to assess the literacy issues in depth. The study showed that reviving the school literacy culture can be capital in improving the competence of students and teachers, assist in the formation of student character, and improve the professionalism of teachers and can deliver effective schools into schools.

Abstract

The issue of imbalance in the availability of teachers in schools, whether as classroom teachers, or subject teachers continues to follow, without any concrete solutions starting at education, district, provincial and national levels. This research was conducted to find out about the policy of education office of Semarang Regency in improving, arranging and equity of teacher performance. The research type is qualitative research and case study. Technique of collecting data in this research is done by interview method, FGD, and document. Data analysis in this study by using, data reduction, data presentation, take conclusions and verification. Based on the results of the calculation of the needs of teachers seems to have been calculating the needs of class teachers and teachers census civil servants in schools directly addressed by the appointment of non-civil servant teachers. Almost all levels of education lack of teachers, and there are still some teachers who do not meet the standards of competence and there are still some teachers who do not meet the competency standards as well as the number of teachers entering retirement increase the number of teachers in the district of Semarang.

Abstract

Supervision is an internal part of the education program, supervision is a cooperative service. Transcendental supervision is a series of activities in the context of supervision of the teaching profession. This research was conducted to reveal: 1) role of Principal as supervisor in improving learning quality. 2) supporting and inhibiting factors of the Principal's role as supervisor in improving the quality of learning. From the research result, the role of Principal as a supervisor in improving the quality of learning in Madrasah Aliayah Patra Mandiri Plaju has been done well but it needs to be improved again, the Principal has as much as possible in guiding, directing, designing, motivating to evaluate and maintain good relationship from inside school As well as from outside. While the inhibiting factors are, the principal is less experienced in supervising, lack of education operational support from the government and infrastructure facilities. While the supporting factor is, the willingness of teachers to receive guidance from the Principal Madrasah Aliyah Patra Mandiri Plaju, the participation of students who are active in school activities, the support of the superiors, and the existence of good relationships of school residents.

Abstract

Country of Indonesia consisting of several islands with various culture and geography. Such diverse culture and geography have shaped each region in their unique and potential. The uniqueness and potential of the resources and life of each region. To optimize from each unique and potential owned by each region needed appropriate and competent human resources. Human resources who understand every opportunity of the uniqueness and potential of the region, especially local human resources. The way out of the fulfillment of human resources capable of supporting regional development by optimizing the uniqueness and potential is educational institutions. Referring to that the area of each region has its own unique and potential, then changed the education system that had been centralized into decentralization. Where the management of educational institutions submitted to their respective areas in particular related to the purpose of educational institutions. The purpose of the educational institution should be able to support the local development efforts.

Abstract

One of the latest national education policies in Indonesia is to carry out character education of the nation's values in school schools in Indonesia. In the process of cultural education and character of the nation, the students actively develop their own potential, internalize the process, and appreciate the values into their personalities in socializing, developing a more prosperous society, and developing the life of a dignified nation. Culture is the whole system of ideas and feelings, actions, and the work that humans produce in the life of society that is owned by him by way of learning. Through education that develops the cultural values and character of the nation, learners have value and character as their character, able to apply these values in life as members of society and citizens who are religious, nationalist, productive and creative.

Abstract

This article aims to reveal and reinforce the importance of educational institutions in maintaining their existence. This period, the number of emerging new educational institutions with new concepts and approaches they offer. This makes the old educational institution faced with a critical position, if it does not adapt to the demands of the environment. This article uses a literature study to examine the issues of educational institutional measures to deeply retain existence. The results of the study show that such rapid environmental changes can no longer be overcome by the natural processes of institutional development and "flowing with the flow". It is necessary to design the development to realize planned changes so that the institution can grow in a positive direction and be able to face the environment. However, an important note in the process of institutional development, the winners are those who have a better strategy. Therefore, to achieve the goals in the process of institutional development is required ketapatan selected strategy.

Abstract

Character Education teaches habitual ways of thinking and behavior that help individuals to live and work together as family, community, and state and help them to make responsible decisions. Islamic Education Institution as an educational organization not only big physically, but also carrying a big and noble mission to educate the life of the nation, and form morals al karimah learners, of course require professional management. Abstract

This study aimed to describe the management model of multicultural education in traditional and modern boarding school in maintaining harmony heterogeneity students. This type of research is a qualitative study using a naturalistic approach. Subjects in this study were caregivers, teachers, traditional and modern pesantren students at two boarding schools are boarding Sunan Pandanaran Yogyakarta and modern cottage Al-barakah Nganjuk East Java. namely data collection techniques interviews, observations and document research. The results of this study: first, the model of multicultural education in the form of a traditional boarding school, namely a) the use of Indonesian as the unifying language students in learning activities and daily activities; b) intermingling of students as a vehicle to learn to live in diversity, to build mutual trust, mutual understanding  and mutual respec; c) the appreciation of multicultural education in a variety of activities: the use of batik regional origin of students; activities miss the archipelago and fashion show
