Abstract

Human Resource Development is an activity to maintain and improve employee competence in order to achieve organizational effectiveness. Human Resource Development can be realized through career development, as well as education and training This research is to know the Relationship of Career Development with Teacher Performance in Public High School 1 Kandis, Kandis Sub-district, Ogan Ilir District. Research methodology with the type of research used is (field research) direct research conducted with quantitative approach. Types of data are quantitative and qualitative with primary data sources and secondary data sources of literature on the subject matter. The population in this study is all teachers in Public High School 1 Kandis, Kandis Sub-district, Ogan Ilir District, amounting to 28 people. Technique of collecting data using Observation, Questionnaire (Questionnaire) and Technique. To analyze the data will be used statistical formula, namely the formula of Correlation Coefficient of Contigency Engineering. Teacher career development in the moderate category where 21 people with percentage of 75%, 4 people with percentage of 14.29%, and 4 people with 10.71% percentage. While the performance of teachers including medium category, where 19 respondents with percentage of 67.86%, 5 respondents with the percentage of 17.86%, and for 4 respondents with the percentage of 14.29%. Based on cotigence correlation analysis, there was a significant positive correlation between career development with proven teacher performance of Phi greater than rtabel, good at 5% level.

Abstract

In this research that will be discussed is the influence of leadership and internal communication on the effectiveness of work. The objectives of the research are: (1) to know whether there is influence of leadership on work effectiveness (2) to know how big influence of leadership to work effectiveness of employee either simultant or partial. The population of this research is employees of Faculty of Science Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Raden Fatah Palembang with the number of 90 people. Data collection methods used are questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis method used is descriptive analysis and the percentage of multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS for Windows Release 16. Based on descriptive analysis of the percentage obtained by the magnitude of leadership amounted to 84.24% and categorized as very good, while the degree of effectiveness of the work amounted to 78.78% including good category. Based on calculation of double linear regression analysis also obtained Fhitung equal to 17,234 with significance 0,000. Because the price of significance obtained is less than 0.05, then the regression model obtained is significant. This means that the working hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, ie there is influence of leadership on the effectiveness of work. The magnitude of the effect is 28.4% simultaneously while partially is 16% for leadership variables. Based on the results of research, leadership gives a positive effect on the effectiveness of work.

Abstract

Lackof students’ engagement at school has become renewed issue both nationally and globally. Family, friends and teachers are associated with the students’ engagement at school. However, achievement motivation is a part of psychological factor contributing toward students’ engagement. This study aimedto examine the relationship of social support, achievement motivation and students’ engagement. Participants were  276 students of senior high school Sumberpucung Malang. Proportional sampling were used to determine the participants of this study. Data were analyzed with multiple regression analysis. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between social support, achievement motivation and students’ engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the role of Kiyai as a leader of education at Pondok Pesantren Nurulhuda Pakandangan Sumenep. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research. The result of research shows that kiyai as education leader has three role that is first class as manager, management of boarding school is directed to the achievement of pesantren goal. Decision making is conducted in the annual meeting forum as well as quarterly meetings as a form of formative evaluation of activities that have been implemented. second, the role of leader, leadership style used is participative leadership by involving all components of boarding school consisting of board, council asatidz, and representation santri.dan third role as curriculum developer, curriculum used in Pondok Pesantren Nurulhuda combine two curriculum that is curriculum which is the provision of government and self-developed curriculum. Using Arabic and English as the language of instruction in every lesson is also the everyday language of santri. The yellow book is also taught in class with the aim of recognition, understanding, practice, and motivation.

Abstract

The development of teacher professionalism is in the spotlight of today's world. This is due to the changing paradigm of education as a consequence of the development of the times and challenges of education. This paper aims to provide an overview and understanding of the importance of changing old patterns in developing a teacher's professional. Monotonous and centralistic coaching and training is no longer relevant to use for the present. One of the new methods that deserve to be practiced as a form of teacher professional development is through in-house training. A method that puts forward collaborative, contextual and constructivist approaches so that the value of its benefits is more clearly felt by teachers.
