Abstract

Soe tangerine product value chain study becomes important to answer the problem of scarcity of product supply when not during the harvest season. The problem of shrinkage and damage to agricultural products including Soe tangerines is a classic problem that is very difficult for any party to overcome. In general, one of the objectives of studying the value chain is to be able to give an idea and determine which actors are right to apply storage technology that can answer the problem of shrinkage and damage to agricultural products including Soe tangerines. Specifically in this study, the objective to be achieved is to analyze the value chain and assess the added value that has occurred along the distribution chain of Soe tangerine products. The research methodology was conducted using descriptive questionnaires, value chain analysis was carried out starting from farmers, collectors and retailers in several community markets in the city of Kupang, while the value added analysis used the Hayami method. The results of the value chain analysis show that the level of profit for collectors is IDR 5,306 per kg, and for retailers it reaches IDR 10,806 per kg, whereas when compared to the profits of farmers as producers it is only IDR 1,806 per kg. If the difference in profit is calculated between each actor in the Soe tangerine product distribution chain, the farmers who are producers and upstream of the product only receive an added value of IDR 2,250 per kg, while the collecting traders receive an added value of IDR 5,750 per kg and retailers receive added value of IDR 11,250 per kg. The resulting RC ratio is 1.14 at the farmer level, 1.31 at the collector trader level and 1.45 at the retailer trader level. Thus it can be concluded that the tangerine citrus farmers benefit and the added value is lower than the traders and retailers in the people's markets.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the total number of leukocytes and differential leukocytes of native chicken blood exposed to Ascaridia galli naturally. Sampling of free-range chicken blood was carried out in Amarasi Subdistrict of Kupang Regency while blood tests were carried out at the Veterinary UPT Laboratory of the Animal Husbandry Department of NTT Province. The variables observed were blood figures, especially the total number of leukocytes, lymphocytes, monocytes, neutrophils, basophils, and eucinophils. The blood picture data obtained will be adjusted to the normal blood picture then all data obtained will be processed descriptively. From examination of stool samples found Ascaridia galli worm eggs for all stool samples and blood tests showed that the total number of leukocytes was 112.5 X 10 ^ 3 / µL, lymphocytes 86 X 10 ^ 3 / µL, monocytes 4.2 X 10 ^ 3 / µL, neutrophils 5.2 X 10 ^ 3 / µL, basophils 0, and eusinofil 4.6 X 10 ^ 3 / µL. Keywords: Ascaridia galli, Ayam Kampung, Total Blood leukocytes, Differential leukocytes

Abstract

Infestasi parasit pada ikan dalam jumlah besar dapat menyebabkan kerugian ekonomi yang cukup signifikan. Parasit dari jenis Trematoda monogenean dan protozoa mendominasi infestasi tersebut.  Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan status kejadian infestasi parasit pada ikan mas biasa (Cyprinus carpio). Sebanyak 200 ikan mas (Cyprinus carpio) dikumpulkan dari kolam-kolam di Sleman dan Magelang, Jawa Tengah Indonesia. Metode pemeriksaan menggunakan metode wet mount. Parasit yang ditemukan sebagai berikut: Ichthyopthirius multifilis 41% Dactylogyrus  spp. 44,5% dan Gyrodactylus spp. 25%. Kejadian insidensi parasit sebagai berikut: Ichthyopthirius multifilis 1496/82, Dactylogyrus  spp. 119/37 dan Gyrodactylus spp. 2/2. Kondisi kolam yang buruk dan pergantian musim di Indonesia merupakan faktor yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap kejadian infestasi parasit pada ikan mas (Cyprinus carpio).

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain the type of firewood as a natural preservative and the best smoking method to produce high-quality smoke Cakalang with longer durability. This study uses an experimental method designed in a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial pattern of 3x2, with two factors namely the type of firewood and the smoking method. The main variables collected in this study are, pH, water content, protein content, fat content, ash content and calcium of smoke Cakalang. The monitoring period is carried out on days 0, 3, 6 and 9 days of storage. The results showed that, in general, smoke Cakalang products were initiated by using firewood and the smoking method gave the best effect on pH, water content, protein content, fat content, ash content and carbohydrate content. The use of firewood from kusambi wood and coconut shell can increase the durability of fish for up to 9 days of storage. Kusambi wood and coconut shell have good potential for firewood because they can increase the levels of protein, carbohydrate, fat content, and decrease of pH, water content and ash content of smoke Cakalang. The smoking method using a closed smoking cabinet produces betterquality of smoke cakalang compared to an open cabinet. Keywords: Firewood type, smoking method, durability, proximate content of smoke Cakalang

Abstract

The study aims to determine the influence of KNO3 and manure to plant growth of the tomato varieties Betavila. Research takes place from April to November 2019 in Kupang District. This research uses randomized complete block design by one factor, which is 8 levels of fertilizer dose and repetition 4 times. As for the following treatment: P1 = 100% KNO3 recommendation, P2 = 100% Goat Manure recommendation, P3 = 100% KNO3 + 15 tons/ha goat manure, P4 = 100% KNO3 + 30 tons/ha goat manure, P5 = 75% KNO3 + 15 ton/ha goat manure, P6 = 75% KNO3 + 30 tons/ha goat manure, P7 = 50% KNO3 + 15 ton/ha goat manure, P8 = 50% KNO3 + 30 ton/ha goat manure.The results showed a combination of KNO3 and goat manure that affected the number of productive branches, buns and flower petals, and did not affect the lateral branches formed.  75% KNO3 + 30 tons/ha goat manure treatment provides the best influence on the number of productive branches (12.123), bunching of Flowers (27.973), and Flowers (5.630). Keywords: KNO3, goat manure, plant growth, tomato Betavila

Abstract

Good organic fertilizer is fertilizer that can be used to improve physical, chemical and biological soil properties, and is certified based on laboratory tests and meets fertilizer quality standards. Liquid organic fertilizer Bio-Inoculum Plus is an alternative fertilizer as a result of innovation technology that meets the quality standards of liquid organic fertilizer with a dual function as fertilizer, growth regulators as well as biopesticides. Because it contains complete nutrients (such as organic C, N, P, K, Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, B, Co and Mo); ZPT (such as Auxin (IAA), GA3, Cytokinins (Kinetin and Zeatin)) and also contain Azospirilium sp. Microbes, Pospate Solvent Bacteria (Bacillus sp and Pseudomonas sp), Actinomycetes sp, Trichoderma sp and Beauveria bassiana. The results obtained from the application of liquid organic fertilizer Bio-Inoculum on the propagation of fruit plants using cuttings to sprout shoots and roots take between 7-18 days. To accelerate plant growth, accelerate flowering and fruiting on plants that are difficult to grow flowers and fruit. Abstract

The dissemination of a food crop-based ruminants development model will determine the success of a commodity that can compete in the market, as well as open up employment opportunities and provide income for farmers. This research aims to; (1) disseminating a model of food crop-based ruminants development in farmer groups in Kupang Barat sub-district, Kupang Regency, (2) producing an effective and efficient food-based ruminant animal development model in supporting food self-sufficiency so that it can maintain food security for the community at Kupang Regency, (3) increases the sustainability and ecological balance for the long-term growth and production of plants and livestock. Production data obtained during one planting season of corn, cabbage flowers, beans and a period of raising cattle in 2019. The data analysis model used in this study is the analysis of costs, revenues and profits of farming according to Tohir (1980). The results of the analysis show that the dissemination of a food crop-based ruminant development model is very beneficial for farmers with a magnitude of the profit ratio between revenue and cost of 8.6. This means that at the expense of a fee of one rupiah, an income of 8.6 rupiah would be obtained.

Abstract

In general, people throughout the world have utilized the application of smoke and/or fire from burning in terms of land cultivation, seed and food preservation and pest control. In Indonesia, most studies are still examining the application or use of combustion smoke in relation to seed storage time and pest control. While those who focus their studies on promoting growth and development are still very minimal. Therefore in this paper the author wants to review the alternative function of liquid smoke as an exogonus growth factor that can promote germination during the vegetative phase. Several studies have proven that the chemical compounds contained in the smoke from the combustion of plant materials that can be converted into liquid form (liquid smoke) can actually act as an external growth factor that can encourage plant growth and development, including germination.Key Words:  liquid smoke, Growth Factor external, Germination

Abstract

This study aims to determine the chemical properties and escalation levels of macro (N, P, and K) and micro nutrients of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) made from papaya, apple, pineapple, and saba banana peels which were given the addition of several organic nutrients to enhance N, P, and K. The research design was an experiment in the form of a simple data analysis based on the average value of observations. Liquid organic fertilizer of fruit waste (papaya, apples, pineapples, and saba banana) added with several organic substances enhancing nutrients N, P, and K have better chemical properties where the C-organic content is 17.55% higher 1.2% compared to LOF fruit waste; pH value is 4.18 compared to LOF of fruit waste which is 3.6; macro nutrients namely N levels of 1.24% more 0.06%, P levels of 321.7 ppm 36.8 ppm more, K levels of 139.3 ppm 10.2 ppm more, Ca levels of 294.1 ppm 117.4 ppm more, and Mg levels of 176.7 ppm more 0.12 ppm; and micronutrients that are increased around 0.02-1.54 ppm, where Fe nutrient levels increased by 1.54 ppm, Cu by 0.05 ppm, Zn by 0.62 ppm, and Mn by 0.02 ppm.

Abstract

Corn kernels that are stored for a longer period are susceptible to pest infestation by Sithopilus zeamais. To overcome these problems, we need environmentally friendly pest control techniques, namely the use of resistant cultivars. This study aims to determine the level of resilience of 22 local Timor corn cultivars against the Sitophilus zeamais L. Pest. The results showed that the highest total population was found in the Muke Bunga Putih cultivar (121 individuals), Desa Kie Dusun 3 (107, 5 individuals), Silawan Kuning (109.5 individuals), Desa Oenlasi Dusun 4 (141.5 individuals), while the lowest total population were in the Haikesak Putih cultivar (11.5 individuals), Tastim 1 Putih (15 individuals), and Tasifeto Timor Biboki Anleu Putih (17 individuals). Bunga Merah Muke cultivar, Pulut Putih Muke cultivar, and Bunga Putih Fatumonas cultivar have the smallest development period (30 days), while Kie Dusun 1 and Malaka 2 Kuning cultivars have the largest development periods (35 days). There are 7 cultivars, namely Haikesak Putih, Tastim 1 Putih, Bunga Merah Fatumonas, Desa Kie Dusun 1, Malaka 1 Putih, Putih Fatumonas and Tasifeto Timur Biboki Anleu Putih that are resistant to S. zeamais pests. Keywords: cultivar, Timor local maize, Sitophilus zeamais.
