Abstract

 Dalam khsanah ilmu antropologi dan Ilmu sosial umumnya, teori fungsionalisme yang dirintis oleh Bronislaw Malinowski (1884-1942) merupakan teori klasik yang begitu berpengaruh pada awal perkembangan ilmu Antropologi pada abad ke-19. Namun demikian, meskipun teori itu dikenal sebagai teori klasik, sebagai sebuah grand theory yang sangat berpengaruh dalam perkembangan teori antropologi kontemporer, teori tersebut masih banyak dijadikan landasan konseptual para ilmuwan sosial masa kini dalam berbagai kajian masyarakat dan kebudayaan. Demikian halnya dalam studi tentang sistem religi, dalam banyak hal teori ini masih relevan untuk menjadi sebuah acuan teoretis dalam melakukan telaah antropologis terhadap fenomena sosial keagamaan. Tulisan berikut mengurai kembali asumsi dasar dan landasan konseptual yang dibangun oleh Malinowski dalam mengembangkan teori fungsionalisme dan implikasinya terhadap kajian agama-agama.

Abstract

Ahmadiyya came into the world on a mission of peace and renewal through the values of morality teachings. In the context of Indonesia, Ahmadis have been coming to the archipelago through the youth of Sumatra since 1924 and has received positive responses as a new religious movement at that time. But in its development, the phenomenon of Ahmadiyya emerged as an issue of protracted conflicts and endless until today. Some of the group that is the true Islam with shouts of Allahu Akbar carried out the attack against Ahmadiyya in Indonesia, including Ahmadiyya in Manis Lor, Kuningan.

Abstract

Artikel ini mencoba mendiskusikan tentang konsep etika relijius dan kharismatik yang diformulasikan oleh Max Weber. Di sini, Weber menganalisis pengaruh etika relijius terhadap sikap dan perilaku manusia dalam konteks sosial. Bagi Weber, ada kaitan antara etika relijius dengan perilaku sosial. Weber mengungkapkannya dalam risetnya tentang etika Chalvinis dan semangat kapitalisme. Dia juga mengaplikasikan teorinya ke dalam tradisi keagamaan Timur. Di samping itu Weber juga mengemukakan teori kharisma, yang baginya, kharisma sangat berpengaruh terhadap perubahan sosial. Kata Kunci: Etika Protestan, Rasionalisasi, Rasionalisasi Nilai, Rasionalitas Tujuan, Otoritas Tradisional, Otoritas Legal-Rasional, Otoritas Kharismatik.

Abstract

In many methods that can be used to make better education, one of them is by using methods of reward and punishment or reward and punishment. The use of this method is based on, that people love to get reward and do not like to get punishment. These basics are meant in the context of Islam in order to express about Islam in methods of reward and punishment. Not just Muslim translations, much more is learned in the context of hadith. After tracing in the context of Islam it was found out that Islamic Educational figures believed in such methods, such as Ibn Sina, al-Gazali and Abdullah Nasih Ulwah, although with a note using a better method of punishment, in educating children, then giving also not and will be easily, and the punch can be done with a punch that does not involve children. In the concept of hadith also found from the search results of the Apostle's Apostle, and did the same. Based on research on sanad and matan hadith, which is related to reward and punishment, it is found that it is legitimate and well-known hadiths also known as gifts, the punishment addressed in the method of reward and punishment in this paper is authentic hadith accepted. Keywords: reward, punishment, concept of psychology, concept of Islam, study of hadis.

Abstract

Persoalan kekerasan merupakan persoalan yang selalu aktual, terlebih ketika dihubungkan dengan legitimasi terhadap ide-ide identitas agama”. Ide-ide itu akan semakin mengkristal menjadi sebuah pandangan yang mengabsahkan kekerasan dalam agama ketika digunakan untuk mempertahankan identitas agama dan “kewibawaan” etnis sekaligus. Agama Yahudi sebagai agama etnis dalam mempertahankan identitasnya, dengan justifikasi ide-ide “jihad” dari teks-teks agama dan sejarah panjang perantauan (diaspora) dengan collective identity-nya, terkadang memunculkan kekerasan dalam  mencapai kadaulatan agamanya. Dengan menelusuri sejarah panjang Yahudi yang selalu menjadi minoritas di negara-negara tempat mereka hidup.

Abstract

This article discusses confl icts between the Sunnite and the Shi’ite in Indonesia. It wasbegan by discussing the Shia emergence history, development of the Middle East Shiaand development and inclusion of the Shi’ite in Indonesia. The Shi’ite identity cannotbe seen easily in Indonesia context. The Shi’ite spread in the community and did notlive in groups in a particular region. The Shi’ite that came to Indonesia was like thespread of Islam in accordance with the understanding spreader. The infl ux of Shia inIndonesia is still being debated in academic circles. Hasjmi stated that the Shia encounterinto Indonesia was brought by Muslim Persian traders, Arabic, Gujarat and India. TheShi’ite established the Islamic Empire in Perlak. In different perspective, AzyumardiAzra argued that there was no suffi cient evidence of the spread of the Shiite in the earlydays of Islam in the archipelago and also asserted that Shia was popular in Indonesiahas not been so long, especially after the Iranian revolution in 1979. The Shiites havelong coexisted with a Sunni group that became the majority in Indonesia. In addition,the Shia has come into the existing reality in the midst of the Indonesian nation. Theinfl uence of the Shia’s teachings and its thought of schools grew rapidly in Indonesia. It ischaracterized by the number of study groups that focus on the study of Shia. Shia becamea part of Indonesian national diversity that has not received strong protection of law,as well as considered outside of Sunni ideologies. In fact, Shia became a minority groupin Indonesia. The lack harmonious relationship between the Shi’ite and the Sunnite inIndonesia was motivated by the difference of understanding toward religious teaching andthe lack of tolerance, so there is less of a dispute and even confl ict.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to provide an explanation of the characteristics of leadership in the Islamic religion which refers to the Koran, and Christianity which refers to the gospel. The research method used will be qualitative and literature. Leadership especially in Indonesia has always been a hot topic in this modern era. So, in Islam and Christianity also discusses the concepts of leadership that have been discussed in the respective scriptures for the sake of the smoothness of a nation, then referring to the holy book itself. Based on the entire discussion in writing, it can be concluded that in Islam That ideal is a good temper and a gentle heart, forgiving and praying, and the common interest is decided together. Meanwhile, according to Christianity, the ideal leader is a guide, who can be trusted, who lives in holiness, who lives in consistency, and leaders who have courage and humility.

Abstract

Diversity is a reality for the Indonesian nation, one form of diversity, namely religion. Religion is a guide from the creator of how humans can live in differences so as to create an orderly and harmonious life. However, the phenomenon that occurs is just the opposite where religion in fact makes someone to claim the truth of each religion. This certainly becomes a serious conflict for the Indonesian people considering that Indonesia is a plural country and should have an understanding of tolerance. Actually tolerance is not just a concept that must be understood but must be realized in attitudes and behaviors so that a harmony between religious people will be realized. Amid the current global developments, technological sophistication cannot be dammed so that people can easily receive information. Responding to this phenomenon if we especially as youths who basically have an important role in building inter-religious harmony cannot properly take advantage of the existence of social media, it will easily accept and even spread hoax issues, the impact of this will certainly damage the relationship between harmony religious people should be as young people as filtering and wise in the use of social media. Through social media, we as young people can do positive things as well, pour creative ideas to channel talents that we have such as making writings or images so that they can be enjoyed by others, communicating with distant friends or adding friends by joining a social group that later will add insight and foster harmony among others Keywords: Social Media, Harmony, YIPC

Abstract

God has given human beings tremendous grace of freedom in con- ducting their life. Because of their freedom’s nature, human beings are not under pressure to do something at all cost. Thus, to embrace Islam is not a type of pressure to humans. The central issue is whether Mus- lim who converts into the other religion is free by preference or bound to Laws and punishments. The research focuses on the Islamic con- temporar y thought of  both ulama’s (Islamic scholar) majority and Maulana Muhammad Ali. The research shows that the majority of Ulama claims Muslim who converts to other religions should be urged to engage in taubah (repentance and back to Islam) before the death penalty. On the contrary, Maulana Muhammad Ali argues that they are freed from the worldly punishment. The latter also states that they get a kind of punishment if they both rebel and declare war to Islam.In Islam, the religious freedom –it is not always apply the term al- hurriyah —has affiliated to the core of Islamic thought in accordance with the dynamics of time, however the term al-ikhtiyar is obviously identical to the freedom. For instance, the freedom and human rights (HAM) terms are both identical but they bear different meanings. In human rights aspect, the freedom ranges its multidimensional ele- ment into religious freedom as well. The phenomenon of Murtad (apostasy) then becomes the threat to the Islamic community. Murtad is harmful leading to the change of  muruah in a Muslim country. In this context, it is reasonable for Abu Bakar As-Siddiq to declare a firm enforcement in order to maintain the stability to fight against the waves of murtad during his reign.Thus Muslims are prohibited to alter their religions since Islam is a perfect and compatible belief to the concept of human creation. When choosing to become a Muslim, one has confessed in the names of God and the Messenger to obey all Islamic teachings including the prohibition to denounce Islam. If Muslims confess to leave Is- lam, they then basically betray and break their promises to God. The research uses literary and documentary methods in discussing a con- version-related issue and studying conversion cases in the society. The finding of the research contributes to some references and con- siderations for both the Islamic leaders and Muslim scholars.

Abstract

Artikel ini memaparkan pandangan etika politik an-Naim yang mempunyai kesamaan semangat dengan perjalanan demokrasi yang sedang bejalan di Indonesia. Unruk memahami pandangannya perlu dikemukakan lebih dahulu biografi dan latar belakang pemikirannya sehingga bisa diketahui asal mulagagasan etika politiknya. Selanjutnya, dipaparkan tentang segi-segi universal dari agama dan HAM untuk memahamkan bahwa meskipun keduanya berasal dari sumber berbeda tetapi ketika dipahami manusia menjadi sebuah pengetahuanyang mempunyai kelebihan dan kekurangan. Bagian terakhiq berisi tentang relevansi pandangan an-Na'im dengan perjalanan demokrasi di Indonesia, dengan memaparkan pola hubungan etika dan hukum sehingga diketahui dimana posisi an-Na'im dari beberapa pola tersebut.
