Abstract

This study investigates the potential applications of blockchain technology to offer a solid basis for supporting long-term, sustainable Kenyan entrepreneurs. The study investigates how blockchain technology's decentralized, transparent, and secure features might increase investor confidence, increase stakeholder engagement, and speed up funding processes for sustainable projects. The key findings indicate that blockchain can significantly improve transparency, reduce inefficiencies in the fundraising process, and attract a diverse range of investors to support companies. However, barriers including ambiguous laws, complex technology, and poor awareness make widespread adoption challenging. To solve problems, the paper emphasizes the need for an all-encompassing framework that includes capacity building, policy alignment, and clever public-private partnerships. By prioritizing these initiatives, stakeholders may unlock blockchain's transformative potential to assist Kenya's green development goals, foster innovation, and accelerate sustainable startup growth.

Abstract

Catfish farming often faces challenges due to high stress levels in fish caused by instability in water pH and temperature, which disrupt metabolism, reduce appetite, and harm their health. This can lead to nutrient deficiencies for plants in aquaponic systems, causing ecological imbalances. Many farmers still rely on instinct to monitor pond conditions, making it difficult to detect changes in pH, temperature, and nutrient levels promptly, resulting in suboptimal water conditions and high fish mortality rates. To address this, a device equipped with sensors for real-time monitoring of pH, water temperature, and nutrient levels is necessary, helping farmers maintain ecological balance and reduce fish mortality. This research aims to ease catfish farming by integrating an automatic feeding system controlled by a servo and RTC and monitoring critical parameters like pH, temperature, and plant color through Thingspeak. Using the prototype method, the system was developed with ESP32, Arduino Microcontroller, pH sensor, DS18B20 temperature sensor, TCS3200 color sensor, buzzer, and servo. The aquaponics system design included scheduled nutrient supply for fish feed and an accurate feeding process activated at 12:00 PM, running the servo for 2 seconds with a buzzer alert. Testing confirmed the sensors’ ability to transmit data to Thingspeak and display it via LCD. However, the temperature sensor requires periodic calibration, as weather conditions significantly influence readings. During the rainy season, the lowest temperature recorded was 27.10°C, while the highest temperature during summer reached 29.32°C, demonstrating the system’s adaptability across seasons.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in Indonesia is very crucial, in accordance with Law No. 20 of 2003 which stipulates early childhood as the period from birth to six years. At this stage, early childhood is a golden period, where the child's brain experiences rapid development to support the child's physical and mental development. However, research shows that children at the Nusa Ceria Islamic Kindergarten, Sumberrejo Village, Lumajang Regency, face difficulties in developing fine motor skills, such as delays in activities such as sticking paper or dry leaves. This difficulty is caused by learning methods that rely too much on basic learning. In addition, the lack of opportunities for environmental exploration and overly protective parenting patterns are also inhibiting factors. To overcome this problem, collaboration between educators and parents in providing stimulation through fun activities and creative media is needed. One proposed solution is the use of interactive books designed to improve children's fine motor, cognitive, language, and social skills as a whole. This book is expected to be an effective external impetus in supporting early childhood development.
