Esoterik: Jurnal Akhlak dan Tasawuf is academic journal published by Prodi Tasawuf dan Psikoterapi, Fakultas Ushuluddin, Institut Agama Islam Negeri Kudus collaborated with Konsorsium Tasawuf dan Psikoterapi Indonesia (Kotaterapi). Esoterik: Jurnal Akhlak dan Tasawuf publish two times a year (each June and December). The focus of his study are Tasawuf, Sufism, Thariqah, Islamic Psychology, Islamic Psychotherapy, Spirituality, Mystical Experiences. Esoterik journal is open to lecturers, students and researchers who are interested in the above studies.

<![CDATA[Sufism is one of the central studies in Islam. One of the figures is Abu Hasan Asy-Syadzily. Asy-Syadzily has his own concept in understanding Sufism, especially ma'rifat. This study discusses how the concept of ma'rifat Syekh Abu Hasan Asy-Syadzily. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach and data analysis that is inductive / qualitative while data collection techniques are through the library research system. The results showed that the understanding of ma'rifat according to Shaykh Abu Hasan Asy-Syadzily was something that cut off everything except Allah Almighty, and was something that led to God Almighty. Asy-Syadzily also said that there are two deeds that can facilitate us to wushul (up to) Allah, the Ma'rifat and love. The essence of ma'rifat is sufficiency with Allah from everything else.]]>

<![CDATA[In this modern world, people are more focused on worldly or material nature, and far from the spiritual direction. Technology and lifestyle become a trend of life and symbols of progress or level of human strata in the direction of perfection, then with the technology that is increasingly high and far away, keep people even the crisis in human nature. Analytical descriptive is the method used in answering the problems of this modern century. This matter Sayyed Hossein Nashr provides solution from various solutions, one of which he loves is Tasawwuf, this teaching is the point or center of spiritual improvement in the direction of perfection to the essence. In this case tasawwuf becomes the vehicle of choice with the aim of filling human spirituality which is filled with material, nobility, and worldly influences to the nature of nature. It is natural that tasawwuf has an important role in maintaining human balance in the worldly and the beyond aspect. So with the existence of tasawwuf all knowledge will not colide, so it becomes necessary to balance religion and culture.]]>

<![CDATA[Research on "Mental Health of Tahajjud Pray Student’s at STAIN Kudus to find out about the state of mental health of students who do Tahajjud Pray in STAIN Kudus. The method is qualitative method.Data collection tools used were self observation . The data source is the subject of eleven Student’s at STAIN Kudus. Analysis of data using three pattern proposed by Miles and Huberman are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion at before, during and after the research process in the field.The results of this study showed that students who do Tahajjud pray are this can be seen from the characteristics that appear in them as follows: quiet soul, ability to control emotions, the spirit works, clearer mind and concentrate in dealing with problems, easy in finding sustenance, and avoid stress, a healthy body or away from the disease and increased social skills]]>

<![CDATA[Ihya’ ‘Ulum al-Din is one of the most studied books in the pesantren, especially in the pesantren of Sidogiri. The main reason is because the book has been considered as a book of sufism with high values of moderation. This study aims to identify the moderation values of da'wah in the Ihya’ and examine its effect on the da'wah paradigm of pesantren of Sidogiri. This study uses Gadamer's hermeneutic approach to connect the theory in the ihya' and the reality of da'wah at the pesantren of Sidogiri. Data obtained through documentation, interviews and observations. This study shows that the concept of da'wah in the Ihya’ is full of high values of religious moderation. This can be understood from the concept of amr ma'ruf nahi munkar which al-Ghazali explained in his work. This research also shows that the moderation value in the Ihya’ affects the da’wah paradigm of pesantren of Sidogiri which is moderate and full of persuasive approaches.]]>

<![CDATA[This study examines the concept of khalwat modern era. Which is actually khalwat can be meaningful solitude. In Islamic terms alone, there is khalwat which means the shining of men and women who have no mahrom relationship. Then, there is also khalwat which means giving away the soul from the crowd of people. This is the Sufic meaning that will be developed in this study. This qualitative and literary research attempts to decipher the meaning of khalwat in the sufistic world. Then it is applied in the model of service of the Naqshabandi Order. Namely the model of remembrance with certain wirid and with conditions or special murshid (spiritual teacher). The conclusion of this study is that the meaning of khalwat in the right modern era is to offer soul without the body. That is, feeling alone in the crowd so that the perpetrator does not have to leave the activity, but gives spiritual value in his activities.]]>

<![CDATA[Perkembangan modernisasi dan globalisasi telah memberikan pengaruh yang positif dalam kehidupan manusia ikut serta memberikan kemudahan akses informasi dan memberikan kemudahan untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan sehari hari. Sisi lain perkembangan modernisasi dan globalisasi telah ikut andil memberikan dampak negatif dalam perkembangan psikis maupun sosial diantaranya sikap materialisme, individualisme, kegelisahan dalam hidup, korupsi dan ketidak disiplinan. Kajian tasawuf dalam kehidupan modern menjadi sangat relevan dalam menghadapi persoalan hidup dan memahami hakikat hidup yang sesungguhnya. Pesantren Daarut Tauhid Bandung melalui program kajian Ma’rifatullah, Program SMS Tauhid dan Program Pendidikan Santri Siap Guna (SSG) telah menjadi sarana pendidikan masyarakat dalam upaya menghidupkan jiwa untuk senantiasa dekat dengan Allah swt, memperbaiki kepribadian akhlak mulia, peningkatan optimisme dan produktivitas hidup. Oleh karena itu pemaknaan tasawuf tidak lagi berorentasi pada makna kaum sufi melainkan pada pendekatan nilai-nilai tasawuf yang penuh dengan makna hidup atau dikenal dengan pandangan tasawuf positif, tasawuf akhlaqi maupun tasawuf modern.]]>

<![CDATA[The remembrance (dzikr) is believed to have a therapeutic effect on human’s psychiatric condition. In the Islamic tradition, Sufi scholars have long used it as the therapy for increasing their students’ quality of the soul. The immaterial part of human being is believed to be the source of human behaviours, which means their quality of behaviour depends on that of their spiritual condition. In the perspective of modern psychology, the talk of human’s behavioural quality is closely related to the concept of emotional intelligence. It can be assumed therefore that the dzikr therapy can have positive affects on the emotional intelligence. This study seeks to prove the assumption. Located in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, it is conducted to the students of Pondok Dzikir Miftahus Sudur and takes the Tarekat Qadiriyah Naqsyabandiyah’s ways of dzikr as the method of theraphy. The theraphy is given intensively for four weeks and the result proves that it can significantly increase their emotional intelligence.]]>

<![CDATA[The article aims to examine the traces of the spread of Islam in Buton in terms of an analysis of the process of islamization in the archipelago. One of the processes of Islamization in Buton is related to the concept of "Martabat Tujuh." The concept of “Martabat Tujuh” which is considered to be the teachings of Sufism is a forerunner to the system of the Sultanate of Buton in the past. 138-1584) Sultan Murhum is called the title of the Sultanate of Qa'im ad-din, historical approach method is part of the achievement of the results of this research.The data that has been collected is then analyzed using descriptive analysis especially in order to describe the contextualization of the concept of "Martabat Tujuh" with The purpose of this research is to review the history of Islam that developed in Buton as one of the processes of Islamization in the archipelago.The results of this study indicate that a critical review of Islamic civilization in the past needs to be an example so that Islam in the modern era still exists especially as an alternative settlement problem of society. ]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRAKUtsman bin Affan adalah khalifah ketiga setelah Umarbin Khattab. Sepeninggal Utsman bin Affan, tampukkepemimpinan umat Islam beralih kepada Imam Alibin Abi Thalib. Seperti yang termaktub dalam bukubukusejarah bahwa meninggalnya Khalifah Utsmanbin Affan dikarenakan ketidakpuasan sebagian umatIslam pada waktu itu sehingga menyebabkan terjadinyapemberontakan terhadap pemerintahannya. Pada masaKhalifah Ali pun terjadi Perang Unta dan Shiffin. PerangShiffin yang diakhiri dengan tahkim atau arbitrase telahmenyebabkan munculnya berbagai golongan, yaituMuawiyah, Syiah (Pengikut) Ali, Khawarij dan sahabatsahabatyang netral. Dari peristiwa yang diakibatkan olehperseteruan dalam bidang politik akhirnya bergeser kepermasalahan teks-teks agama tepatnya masalah teologiatau ilmu kalam.Aliran Khawarij yang mengatakanbahwa orang yang berdosa besar adalah kafir, dalamarti keluar dari Islam.Aliran Murjiah yang menegaskanbahwa orang yang berbuat dosa besar tetap mukmindan bukan kafir.Aliran Mu’tazilah yang tidak menerimapendapat-pendapat di atas.Orang yang serupa inimengambil posisi di antara ke dua posisi mukmin dankafir (al-manzilah bain al-manzilatain). Lalu munculpula dua aliran Ilmu Kalam yang terkenal dengan namaQadariyah dan Jabariah. <![CDATA[A Psychospiritual therapy was found to be effective in the treatment of drug addiction carried out in government and private care centers. Psychospiritual therapy itself is a psychotherapy that uses a spiritual approach in its application. Islamic Psychospiritual Therapy with the concept of Tazkiah al-Nafs is incomplete without Ruqyah Syar'iyyah aspects. The main purpose of this research is to investigate the method of implementing Ruqyah Syar'iyyah elements in the context of drug addiction recovery. Thus, qualitative research was carried out in five treatment centers for drug addicts selected using an Islamic psychospiritual approach. Data obtained through text analysis, interviews and observations. The study found that the Ruqyah Syar'iyyah aspect was carried out in the Psychospiritual treatment process in the recovery of drug addicts. However, he was not given serious attention from the point of consciousness, understanding and appreciation. As a result, trainers are less concerned with training after completing the treatment period at the drug rehabilitation center and ignoring it. After that the coach is easy to return to drug addiction. In addition, research suggests that some elements of Ruqyah Syar'iyyah and their appreciation be added and applied systematically through the process of riyadah al-Nafs and Muraqabah al-Nafs.]]>
