Abstract

Interoperability between Optical Line Terminals (OLTs) and Optical Network Terminals (ONTs) is an important aspect of GPON-based Fiber to the Home (FTTH) deployments in multi-vendor environments. Although the ITU-T G.984 standard defines an interoperability framework, variations in OMCI implementation and device management mechanisms across vendors may still affect service performance. This study aims to evaluate the interoperability of a Vendor A ONT with four OLT platforms through OMCI registration testing, Layer-2 configuration, ACS activation, and verification of data, voice, and video services. The test results show that all evaluation stages were successfully completed with a 100% success rate across all OLT platforms, and that service performance remained stable without significant degradation. These findings confirm that the Vendor A ONT complies with the ITU-T G.984 standard and can be reliably deployed in multi-vendor GPON networks.

Abstract

Bagasse utilization for power generation in sugar mills remains dominated by inefficient conventional boilers. This study assesses economic feasibility of a hybrid bagasse gasification power system using HOMER Pro software. The model includes a biomass gasifier, diesel generator, and grid connection, using operational data from Krebet Sugar Factory. Four sensitivity scenarios examined variations in investment cost, operational cost, and biomass price. The hybrid system yields a Net Present Cost of 14.2 million USD and Levelized Cost of Electricity of 0.088 USD/kWh, substantially outperforming the existing system with NPC 21.1 million USD and LCOE 0.203 USD/kWh. Investment viability is supported by an Internal Rate of Return of 12% and payback period of 4.8 years. Sensitivity analysis verifies economic resilience despite 20% cost escalation and elevated biomass prices.

Abstract

Renewable energy resources (RES) integration significantly affects power system stability, corresponding with the system to maintain stable conditions when the system is subjected with small disturbance. In this research, the effects of Cirata integration on the Jawa Bali 500kV power system network's dynamic and small signal stability are analyzed. The critical eigenvalue trajectories showed that increasing power injection from PLTS improved the stability, it is indicated by the movement of critical eigenvalues to the left away from the imaginary axis, from σ = -1.253 to σ = -1.255. And is followed by an increase in the system damping ratio from 10,85% to 10,88%. These results indicate that the integration provides a positive contribution to damping oscillations and increasing system stability when faced with small disturbances.

Abstract

Maintaining body stability is a key challenge for hexapod robots in stair navigation. This study proposes an inverse kinematics (IK)-based approach for dynamic balance control using real-time joint angle computation. Experimental results show that the method maintains body orientation near a neutral position, achieving a minimum pitch angle of 7.3°, thereby improving stability and reducing mechanical collision risk. System performance is also influenced by actuator speed and battery voltage.

Abstract

The research discusses the simulation of a GPS-based attendance coordinate point authenticity verification system. Verification is carried out using the Isolation Forest model to detect outliers based on distance anomalies between entry and exit attendances and total path anomalies combined with Threshold-based Filtering to determine the normal distance threshold, and LSTM to analyze temporal patterns based on the total recorded path. The test results show that the combination of Threshold-based Filtering, Isolation Forest, and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) is able to detect invalid coordinate points accurately, from this combination obtained accuracy results of 99.74%, precision 99,49%, recall 100% and F1-score 99,74%. These results prove that the performance of the model combination (hybrid) is superior to using each component model separately.

Abstract

A GPR was conducted in this study using a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) connected to two antennas to detect buried metals. The target was located 17 cm below the ground surface. The detection process was carried out to obtain radar images, namely A-scan and B-scan. Clutter reduction was performed using three methods: weighting, averaging, and singular value decomposition (SVD). This study reviews the performance of clutter-reduction methods under heterogeneous soil conditions. Qualitatively, all methods clarified the target and reduced clutter in the radar image. Quantitatively, the Signal-to-Clutter Ratio (SCR) is calculated after clutter reduction. In terms of results, the weighting method increased the SCR to 28.81 dB, while the averaging method increased it to 25.31 dB. Meanwhile, the SVD method only provided a small increase to 4.45 dB.

Abstract

This research develops a local weather-monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), employing four nodes to collect real-time data on temperature, humidity, air pressure, wind speed, and rainfall. Each node transmits its data to Firebase, where it is displayed on a web dashboard and used to trigger early-warning notifications via Telegram. Testing results show that the anemometer recorded an average deviation of 0.33 km/h, while the BME280 demonstrated high accuracy across three parameters: a 0.21°C (0.74%) deviation for temperature, 0.83% (1.31%) for humidity, and 0.28 hPa (0.02%) for air pressure. The system also exhibited stable data synchronization and rapid alert response times. The testing results demonstrate the potential of a multi-node approach to capture local microclimate variability and indicate its suitability for further development in machine learning–based predictive models.

Abstract

Electric shock is a fatal risk in domestic environments that require an effective grounding system. Because high resistance can weaken the protective function, optimization through the use of additives is the main focus of this study. This study evaluates the effect of electrode rod planting depth on moist and dry soil types using a mixture of additives. The method used is the three-point method with planting media in PVC pipes. Test results in this study require improvements in the minimum electrode rod planting of at least 1 meter in the ground and with maximum and effective results it is recommended to be 2.44 meters (8 feet) into the ground. And in dry soil the electrode rod needs to be buried up to 3.5 meters to get a resistance value below 5 Ω according to PUIL standards.

Abstract

Indonesia has enormous solar energy potential, but local climate variability often causes deviations between design estimates and actual performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of climate parameters on the performance of a 1 kWp solar power system in six different climate zones through PVsyst simulation. The results show significant variations in annual energy production, with the highest values in Makassar (1,453 kWh/kWp) and Ternate (1,452 kWh/kWp), while the lowest is in Jakarta (1,293 kWh/kWp). This difference is triggered by the diffuse radiation (DIF) ratio, which reaches 1,001.4 kWh/m² in Jakarta due to pollution and high cloud cover, which reduces the Performance Ratio (PR) to an average of 76%. This study concludes that microclimate factors, particularly the DNI/DIF ratio, are more decisive for system efficiency than daily average radiation alone.
