Abstract

This research aims to determine (a) the factors that affect the productivity of the fish effort, (b) the level of technical price/allocative, economic eficency and revenue of fishing effort in fishing port Sadeng, Gunungkidul. The research was conducted using a survey. Determination of the study area is purposively. Respondent is selected by simple random sampling. Respondent is the owner of the motor vessel boat using gillnet and handline fishing gear, as many as 32 people.Data analysis is amultiple linear regression, calculating the level of efficiency and revenue. The results showed that factor significantly affect the productivity of fishing effort is the amount of fuel, fishing gear mesh size and number of crew (ABK). Value of technical efficiency of fishing effort (ET) is 0,99 while price efficiency (EH) is 5,117 and value of economic efficiency (EE) is 5,065. Revenues of fishing effort is Rp 5.854.072/trip and the value of R/C is 1,47/trip means fishing in Sadeng is profitable and feasible to be developed.

Abstract

The objective of this research were to analyze the relationships between demographic characteristic ( age and family members) and other factors on demand for labeled eggs. The respondents are consumers who consumed labeled eggs and consisted of 50 labelled eggs consumer who are selected by incidental sampling. The effect of demographic characteristics and other factors were analyzed by using multiple linear regression model. The result indicates that consumption of labeled eggs influenced positively by consumer motivation, consume income and number of family members and influenced negatively by price of labeled eggs.

Abstract

Sugarcane in PT.ILP harvested by harvesting division through logging, unloading and transport. Logging is done in the form of sugar cane burn. The existence of a span of fuel to burn the sugar cane milling can undergo metabolism that cause decomposition of biodegradable polysaccharides or disaccharides, resulting in reduced cane sugar. Therefore, logging and proper and efficient transport can  reduce the rate of decline in the value of pol and purity. Logging and transport in PT.ILP is done in three systems, namely Bundle Cane, Loose Cane, and Chopped Cane. This study aimed to determine : (i) differences in the ability of the system to send Cane Bundle, Loose Cane and Chopped Cane, and (ii) the composition of the optimal delivery system Cane Bundle, Loose Cane, and Chopped Cane. This study used a descriptive analytical method. The type of data collected and analyzed secondary data of sugarcane to the factory shipment in 2012 and in 2013 from Harvesting Division PT.ILP be burnt to crush report time (hour) per weeks. Methods of data analysis using quantitative analysis method of linear programming models. The result showed that there are differences in the average shipment of sugar cane to the factory PT.ILP systems Bundle Cane, Cane Loose, and Chopped Cane Cane Bundle cutting system where the highest followed Loose Cane cutting system. In addition, the result of the study also concluded that the average composition of the shipment of cutting system Bundle Cane, Cane Loose, and Chopped Cane currently not optimal in meeting the quota factory. This is evident from the composition of the shipment allocation of sugarcane to the factory PT.ILP on each cutting system (Bundle Cane, Cane Loose, and Chopped Cane) to change the composition of the previous allocation so that a change in the composition is still obtainable sugar production higher than before (still can be improved). A change in the number of workers cutting and variable costs per ton cane will change the composition of the optimal number of items cane to the mill.

Abstract

This research aims to discover the suitability of the rights and obligations of the owners of the land, the helmsman and the crews; finding out the value of the investment and operating costm the revenue of the owners of the land, the helmsman and the crews profit sharing system and management of fishing attempt; finding out the effect of social capital ( trust, norms, social networks)and non social capital ( education, age, experience) towards the result of fishing. The sample of respondents were the owners of motor vessels using gillnet and handline fishing gears, the helmsman and the crews.Data analysis tool used was the Likert Scale which was then processed using multiple linear regressions. This research result showed that the owners of the land are obliged to provide the means of production and the operating cost during the fishing attempt and has the right to determine their fish catch marketing chain. The helmsman takes full responsibility during the fishing attempt including supervising the crews work, and the crews are obliged to work well during fishing. The systems of revenue sharing is 50%-50%. The ratio of net income towards the cost of the land owners, the helmsman, and the crews is bigger than the interest rate. The phase of the managements of fishing attempt includes planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluation. Social capital in the form of trust and norms as well as non-social capital in the form of education and experience give positive effects to inceas fish catch.
