Abstract

This research aims to determine (a) the factors that affect the productivity of the fish effort, (b) the level of technical price/allocative, economic eficency and revenue of fishing effort in fishing port Sadeng, Gunungkidul. The research was conducted using a survey. Determination of the study area is purposively. Respondent is selected by simple random sampling. Respondent is the owner of the motor vessel boat using gillnet and handline fishing gear, as many as 32 people.Data analysis is amultiple linear regression, calculating the level of efficiency and revenue. The results showed that factor significantly affect the productivity of fishing effort is the amount of fuel, fishing gear mesh size and number of crew (ABK). Value of technical efficiency of fishing effort (ET) is 0,99 while price efficiency (EH) is 5,117 and value of economic efficiency (EE) is 5,065. Revenues of fishing effort is Rp 5.854.072/trip and the value of R/C is 1,47/trip means fishing in Sadeng is profitable and feasible to be developed.

Abstract

Panen merupakan salah satu kegiatan budidaya tanaman yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus. Saat panen merupakan waktu kritis, karena untuk tanaman tertentu terutama padi, apabila penentuan saat panen dan penanganan pemanenan kurang tepat maka kualitas mapun kuantitas produksinya akan turun bahkan dapat rusak. Kehilangan hasil yang besar dalam pemanenan padi secara tradisional, terjadi mulai dari tahap pemotongan, pengumpanan, perontokan, pemisahan hingga pembersihan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis secara teknis dan ekonomis kelayakan penggunaan mesin pemanen padi. Beberapa parameter kelayakan penggunaan mesin pemanen padi yang dijadikan acuan adalah kehilangan hasil, kapasitas kerja, tingkat ketersediaan tenaga kerja pemanen dan analisis ekonomis pemanenan.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa apabila 70% tenaga pemanen di Desa Srimartani digantikan dengan tenaga mekanis, jumlah mesin pemanen padi yang dibutuhkan adalah 1 buah untuk mesin pemotong padi reaper, 3 buah untuk mesin perontok padi thresher dan 2 buah mesin perontok, pemisah dan pembesih padi power thresher. Pada pemanenan secara mekanis total persentase kehilangan hasil adalah 5,36% dengan kapasitas kerja 0,25 ha/jam untuk tahap pemotongan, dan 100,2 kg/jam untuk tahap perontokan serta biaya pemanenan Rp 1.172.489 /ha dengan mesin reaper, thresher dan power thresher. BCR mesin pemanen didapatkan nilai 1,05,1,01 dan 1,02 dan untuk nilai BEP adalah 8,2 ha,6,7 ha dan 23,9 ha masing-masing untuk mesin reaper, thresher dan power thresher. Kata kunci : pemanenan, kehilangan hasil, kapasitas kerja, kelayakan.

Abstract

The development of pepper farming in Batu Timbau Village cannot be separated from the role of agricultural extension workers in encouraging and providing information to farmers. This study aimed to determine the role of extension workers in pepper farming in Batu Timbau Village, Batu Ampar Sub-District, which is seen from the aspects of motivators, educators, catalysts, organizers, and communicators. This research was carried out in 2021 in Batu Timbau Village, Batu Ampar Sub-District, East Kutai District. The sampling technique in this study used the census method with a total sample of 47 pepper farmers. The data analysis method used was descriptive statistics with a 3-item Likert scale. The results showed that the role of extension workers for pepper farmers in Batu Timbau Village was included in the role category seen from five aspects of the assessment. The role of extension workers for pepper farmers in the motivator aspect was included in the interval between 391.71 - 548.30 which is included in the role category with a value of 488. In the educational aspect, it is included in the interval of the role category with a value of 472. In addition, the aspect of organizers, communicators, and catalysts are in the interval of role categories with values of 485, 502, and 545 respectively.

Abstract

Pertanian masih menjadi pemeran utama sebagai penyedia bahan pangan, bahan baku industri, dan penghasil devisa. Penggunaan pupuk kimia yang dilakukan secara terus menerus berdampak pada menurunnya kualitas tanah dan daya dukung lahan pertanian. Saat ini dibutuhkan sebuah gerakan inovasi dan edukasi kepada masyarakat petani akan pentingnya menjaga kualitas tanah dengan pemberian bahan organik untuk mengembalikan kesuburan tanah. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat diaplikasikan adalah pembuatan pupuk yang bahannya dari limbah kayu industri sebagai pupuk Bokashi. Kegiatan ini melibatkan para petani dan dilaksanakan di Desa Loa Duri Ulu Kecamatan Loa Janan Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat diaplikasikan adalah pembuatan pupuk yang bahannya dari limbah kayu industri sebagai pupuk Bokashi. Kegiatan ini melibatkan para petani dan dilaksanakan di Desa Loa Duri Ulu Kecamatan Loa Janan Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Pemanfaatan limbah serbuk kayu yang digunakan sebagai alternatif dari penggunaan pupuk kimia diharapkan mampu menghemat biaya produksi usaha tani sekaligus mengedukasi petani tentang pentingnya menjaga produktifitas lahan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk demonstrasi dan pendampingan langsung kepada kelompok tani mulai dari proses penyiapan, pembuatan pupuk, proses fermentasi pupuk sampai menjadi pupuk bokashi yang dapat digunakan. Diharapkan pupuk okashi ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pupuk organik pada lahan pertanian atau dapat dijadikan sebagai produk komersil.

Abstract

Upaya menumbuhkan minat berwirausaha dikalangan mahasiswa merupakan salah satu bentuk keberhasilan perguruan tinggi dalam membantu pemerintah mengurangi pengangguran. Modal awal menumbuhkan minat berwirausaha dapat dilaksanakan dengan berkreasi dan berinovasi melalui pemanfaatan terarium. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi minat berwirausaha mahasiswa dengan memanfaatkan terarium ekosistem. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan sampel sebanyak 54 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis data kuantitatif dengan analisis berupa uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik yang terdiri dari uji normalitas, uji heteroskedastisitas, uji regresi sederhana dan pengujian hipotesis yaitu uji t, dan koefisien determinasi (R2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan terarium berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat wirausaha mahasiswa Program Studi Pengelolaan Perkebunan Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Samarinda. Variabel pemanfaatan terarium (X) menunjukkan nilai t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel, (5.640 0.268). Sementara itu variasi perubahan variabel minat wirausaha mahasiswa (Y) dipengaruhi oleh perubahan variabel independen yang terdiri dari pemanfaatan terarium (X) sebesar 61.6%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 38.4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti di luar dari penelitian ini. ABSTRACTEfforts to promote interest in entrepreneurship among students are conducted by universities in helping the government reduce unemployment. Initial capital to increase interest in entrepreneurship can be done by being creative and innovative, one of which involves the use of terrariums. This research aims to determine the factors that influence students' interest in entrepreneurship by utilizing an ecosystem terrarium. The data collection method used was survey with a sample of 54 students. This research used quantitative data and analysis instruments in the form of validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests consisting of normality tests, heteroscedasticity tests, simple regression tests and hypothesis testing, namely the t test, and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results of the research show that the use of terrariums has a significant effect on the entrepreneurial interest of students in the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic Plantation Management Study Program. The terrarium utilization variable (X) showed the calculated t value was greater than the t table, (5.640 0.268). Meanwhile, variations in changes in the student entrepreneurial interest variable (Y) were influenced by changes in the independent variable consisting of terrarium utilization (X) amounting to 61.6%, while the remaining 38.4% was influenced by other factors not examined in this research.

Abstract

Utilizing opportunities that arise from the potential natural and cultural riches of the Nagari Sungai Pinang – Pesisir Selatan community has become an innovation for developing a Green Economy Strategy. This model is a projection that brings benefits to improving people's welfare while still paying attention to and making good use of the environment. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research, using the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method. This research is a form of Community Service by providing literacy and outreach to community groups in the Andespin Community. The results of this research are in the form of utilizing the potential of Nagari Sungai Pinang to be developed into ecotourism, such as the formation of community groups that understand the meaning of Green Economics as a form of creating an environmentally friendly economic system, secondly the formation of micro business groups that utilize marine resources into processed products in the form of frozen food, as well as the concept of utilization environment as a good mangrove tourism.

Abstract

The palm oil industry is currently the main supporting sector of the economy from the plantation sector with the main product being Crude Palm Oil (CPO). East Kalimantan is one of the provinces as the center of palm oil production in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the factors that affect East Kalimantan CPO exports with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method approach. The variables included are East Kalimantan CPO Exports (Y), East Kalimantan Palm Oil Production (X1), East Kalimantan Total Exports (X2), and East Kalimantan GRDP (X3). The results of the analysis show that the model used is free from classical assumptions so that it can be interpreted. The F-test results show that the variables of palm oil production, total exports, and GRDP together have a significant effect on East Kalimantan CPO exports. The t-test also shows that the variables of palm oil production, total exports, and GRDP each have an effect on East Kalimantan CPO exports. The variables of East Kalimantan palm oil production (X1) and East Kalimantan total exports (X2) have a positive and significant effect on total East Kalimantan CPO exports, while East Kalimantan GRDP (X3) has a negative and significant effect on total East Kalimantan CPO exports.

Abstract

post-mining land reclamation poses a challenge in restoring degraded land's ecological function and productivity, requiring optimal rehabilitation to make it productive and environmentally friendly. A key challenge in reclamation is the availability of efficient water sources to support the revegetation process. Conventional irrigation systems are inefficient and require intensive monitoring. Therefore, an innovative solution in the form of an automatic irrigation system is needed to optimize water use and support sustainable plant growth. This study aims to design and develop a technology-based automatic irrigation system that combines soil moisture sensors, water pumps, sprinklers, solar panels, solenoid valves, and microcontrollers to regulate irrigation efficiently and on time. The methodology includes hardware and software design, integration of soil moisture sensors, a microcontroller as the control unit, and system field testing. The system is designed to activate irrigation based on real-time soil moisture levels automatically, ensuring water is only applied when needed. The system is expected to reduce excess water use and improve irrigation effectiveness across large and diverse areas. Results show that this automatic irrigation system can reduce water consumption by 34.2% compared to conventional methods. In addition, farmers can remotely manage irrigation via the Internet or mobile apps, reducing irrigation time by 75 minutes. This system holds the potential to be an innovative and sustainable solution for post-mining land reclamation, ushering in a new era of efficient and sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

The increasingly rapid development of technology provides changes in several aspects. Technological advances in this era apart from providing many benefits also provide challenges. One project that can accommodate the zoomer generation in following technological developments is the use of terrarium cultivation. Terrariums fulfill the 3 R principles, namely Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. By planting a terrarium, it means saving water, saving land, and reducing air pollution (Reduce), also reusing unused containers such as used jars (Reuse), and using animal waste as compost (Recycle). The facts in the field are that students as the zoomer generation have received training and socialization on terrarium cultivation, but the level of adoption (acceptance) of students regarding socialization and training on terrarium cultivation varies, therefore a study was carried out to what extent the level of adoption of the results of training and socialization in the application of cultivation terrarium for the zoomer generation. The data collection method used was a survey method with research subjects of the zoomer generation, namely 54 active students. The data collected is categorized tabulatedly and then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. This data analysis uses measurements of observation indicators using a "rating scale". The results of the research show that the level of adoption of zoomer generation innovations in terrarium cultivation, if seen from the latest average, the adoption level is in the very high category. Differences in the level of adoption of terrarium cultivation innovations in the zoomer generation with a very high level of knowledge, a very high level of persuasion/interest, a very high level of decision, a very high level of implementation and a very high level of confirmation. If you look at the overall score, it is in the very high category.
