Abstract

Student learning outcomes are determined by many factors. Allegedly students’ learning motivation and attention are several factors that affect students learning outcomes. This study aimed to determine whether there is a positive and significant influence between learning motivation and students’ attention toward mathematics learning outcomes in the first semester of VIII grade students SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of VIII grade in SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2016/2017, consisted of class  VIII A, VIII B, VIII C, VIII D, VIII E, VIII F, VIII G totaling 234 students. Samples were taken from VIII B as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The writer uses a questionnaire method to collect the data of learning motivation, attention of students and the resulting learning of math. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, the test of independence, and a test of linearity. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a significant and positive influence between learning motivation and the attention of students towards mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII in even Semester of SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2016 / 2017. Abstract

Media developed learning because students are still difficult to understand the material system of linear equations so that the need for renewable innovations in mathematics for students in learning to overcome boredom. The research aims to develop and test the feasibility of learning media in the form of interactive multimedia using Macromedia Flash 8 in mathematics learning in junior high school in the material Linear Equation System Two Variables. This study focused on the development of mathematics learning media is packaged in a Compact Disc (CD). The development of research using the ADDIE development model that is Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Penilitiannya are subject matter experts, media experts and SMP N 4 Banguntapan and SMP Muhammadiyah 17 Prambanan Klaten. Learning media is validated by 3 votes materials experts, 3 experts media, and the subject of the trial of 10 students on a test smaller classes and all students in the pilot class of great use assessment instruments or sheets instrument quality research materials and instructional media and student response, This research has successfully developed a mathematics learning media that have quality Good (B). With an average score of 76.67 matter expert assessment results and the average score of 40.33 media expert assessment results. While the score student responses with a score of 69.74 in the trials and testing of small class large class. So that the average score of 186.74 ideals percentage of the maximum score of 225 is ideal ideals with a percentage of 82.99%. Based on these assessments, then the media is worth the learning of mathematics is used as a learning resource for students.

Abstract

Low student learning outcomes associated with many factors. The relationship between learning independence, parent’s attention and students interact with the teacher are some of the factors possibly related to learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the presence or absence of positive and significance the relationship between learning independence, parent’s attention and students interact with a teacher with Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Students Class XI TITL of  SMK Negeri 1 Pleret Bantul Regency in the odd semester in the academic year of 2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of XI TITL grade in SMK Negeri 1 Pleret Bantul Regency in the academic year of 2016/2017, consisted of class  XI TITLA, XI TITL B, and XI TITL C, totaling 94 students. Samples were taken from XI TITL A as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The writer uses a questionnaire method to collect the data of learning independence, parent's attention and students interact with the teacher and test method to get the resulting learning of math. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, the test of linearity, and the test of independence. Abstract

The lack of attention given to the materials the students by the teacher in the learning outcome processed studied mathematics students. One of the learning strategies that focus student against teacher is Role Playing learning strategies. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of learning strategies among students who are using Role Playing learning strategies with students who use direct learning outcomes learning mathematics in grade VII semester odd SMP Negeri 1 Kebumen Regency Sempor school year 2016/2017. This research population is grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Kebumen Regency Sempor school year 2016/2017, with a total of 256 students. Penelitaian is a sample class VII A and VII B as a class experiment and control that is selected by random sampling against class. Method of collecting data using the method of documentation and tests. Research instrument in the form of a test of the ability of the beginning and test results of learning math. Data analysis is a test of the hypothesis.  Hypothesis test results of two parties with the significance level 5% and 62 degrees of freedom shows that: (1) there is a difference in the results of learning math learning strategies that use Role-Playing with Direct learning. This is shown on   = and 1.86763 = 3.0869 so   >  and (2) Learning Mathematics using Role Playing strategy is more effective than Direct learning. This is shown by the value = 3.0869 and = 1.6702,   > value.

Abstract

The result of low mathematics students learning related to several factors. Self-confidence, learning discipline, and the use of learning resources is some of the factors related to learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive and significant relationship among self-confidence, learning discipline, and use of learning resources with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII of even Semester of MTsN Yogyakarta II  academic year of 2015/2016. The population in this study was the woman students of grade VIII in MTsN  Yogyakarta II academic year 2015/2016, which was divided into 4 classes, namely VIII D, VIII E, VIII F, VIII G totaling 137 students. Samples were taken in class VIII E as a research class sample and with a random sampling technique to the class. Data were collected by the questionnaire method and test method. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, the test of linearity, and the test of independence. Analysis of the data for testing hypothesis using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship among self-confidence, learning discipline, and use of learning resources with mathematics learning outcomes students class VIII of even Semester in MTsN Yogyakarta II  academic year of 2015/2016. It is showed by Fcount =  Ftable = 2.9011 with R = 0.511998  and R2 = 0.2621 with , with SR = 30.7344 , SR = 18.5067% ,and SR = 50.75895% SE = , SE = and SE = 13.3060524 %.

Abstract

In this research less of the result of the study mathematic of students are thought with many factors such as independent learning, peer interaction and attention from their parents. This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between independent learning, peer interaction, and attention parents with math learning outcomes eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Tempuran Magelang in odd semester in academic year 2016/2017. The populations of this study were all students of class VIII consisted of 4 classes with a total of 90 students. Samples were taken using a random sampling technique. The data collection techniques used the non-test technique by a questionnaire and tests. The test research instruments were: validity tests, different power tests, and reliability tests. The test requirements analysis consisted of a normality test, linearity test, and independence test. The data analysis used product moment analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between learning independence, peer interaction, and parents’ attention to the math learning outcomes with R2 = 0,26965, Fcountt= 3,19982 while Ftable= 2,98 thus obtained Fcoun  Ftable and  multiple regression equation  and SR = , SR = , SR =  and SE = , SE =  and SE = .

Abstract

Learning that tends dominated by teachers leads students are less active in the following study. Students only passively accept the teaching of teachers so that students have difficulty in understanding the material. It is thought to be one of the factors that led to lower students’ mathematics learning outcomes. This research is intended to find out the effectiveness of the cooperative learning model type of student teams achievement division (STAD) and numbered head together (NHT) toward mathematics learning outcome of the VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 2 sewon Kabupaten bantul in the odd semester of academic year of 2016/2017. This study uses a posttest-only control design. There is three class in the population of this study, samples were taken from two classes with random sampling techniques to the class. Data collection was conducted with the test model. The instrument used questions related to the subject of algebra. Before analyzing data, there is a prerequisite test that consists of a normality test and a homogeneity test to do. The data analysis using t-test two parties and one party t-test.  The results of a study on the significant level of 5% and dk = 53 indicating that there is a significant difference between the results of learning mathematics using cooperative learning model STAD with the use of models NHT type of cooperative learning. This is indicated by the value and  which mean  and STAD cooperative learning model is more effective than the cooperative learning model NHT type, against the mathematic learning student's results. This is indicated by the value  and  which mean.

Abstract

Based on the observation that has done in SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta that some students are less conscientious in performing basic arithmetic operations. Numeric ability, verbal ability and peer are some of the factors that relate to student learning outcomes. This research aims to know about is there any positive correlation and significance or not between manner learning, mathematics communication, and learning tools with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta in even semester in the academic year of 2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of VIII grade in SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2016/2017, consisted of class  VIIA, VIIIB, VIIIC, VIIID totaling 104 students. Samples were taken from VIIIB as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The writer uses the test method to collect the data of numeric ability, verbal ability and the resulting learning of math and questionnaire method to get peer interaction. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between manner learning, mathematics communication, and learning tools with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII in even Semester of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2016/2017. It is showed by Fstat  Ftable is 10,491 > 3,05 with R = 0,767 and R2 = 0,5886 with , with SR , SR  and SR , SE = , SE  and SE .

Abstract

The research is done based on the observation that the learning process is still focused on teacher-centered so that students are less active in the learning process and the result is low. The objective of the study is to know the effectiveness of the Teams Games Tournament with a live learning model toward student's mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII at SMP N 2 Tempel sleman regency of odd semester in academic year 2016/2017. This research uses postest-only design. The population of this research is the student of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tempel academic year of 2016/2017, which consists of 157 students which is divided into five classes. The sample is taken by 2 classes with a random sampling technique using a lottery, it is delivered by class VIII D as an experiment class and class VIII B as the control class. The collecting data technique uses test. The instrument of collecting data uses the student’s study result. The instrument test of collecting data uses validity, distinguishing capacity and reliability test. The technique of data analysis includes a normal test, homogeny test, then hypothesis test t. The result of the study on significant level α = 5% with df = 59 shows that: (1) there are some differences in the result of Mathematic study between the student which use learning model Teams Games Tournament than the student which use live learning model. It can be seen that  = 2,6332 and   = 2,00134 get . (2) mathematic learning uses learning model Teams Games Tournament is more effective than a live learning model toward the result of Mathematic learning. The result shows that  = 2,6332 and  = 1,6713 get .

Abstract

Mathematics is still considered difficult by most students, so the impact on learning outcomes. The lack of good peers and learning environment that is less than adequate and conducive and the lack of seriousness and independent learning is some of the factors that may affect student learning. Therefore, this study was conducted in order to determine whether or not a positive and significant between peer relationships, student learning environment at home and independence of learning with learning outcomes in SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in Academic Year 2016/2017. The population of this research was all students of class VIII of even semester in SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in Academic Year 2016/2017 which consists of 5 classes. As a sample class was class VIII B by random sampling technique to class. The questionnaire technique used collection data peer relationships, student learning environment at home and learning independence, as well as the test technique used collection data mathematics learning result of student. Test instruments used validity, distinguishing features and reliability. Test data analysis requirements using the test for normality, independent, and the test for linearity. Data analysis for hypothesis testing using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The research result showed that there was a significant positive correlation between peer relationships, student learning environment at home and independence of learning with learning outcomes with  and  so that . Multiple correlation coefficient (R2)  with a regression equation  with relative contribution of ( ) = 14%, ( ) = 70%, ( ) = 16%, and effective contribution , , dan .
