Abstract

The average of mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII of State Junior High School 2 Kasihan (SMP Negeri 2 Kasihan) is below the minimum score. The purpose of this research is to study the influences of time management and interpersonal skill on mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Kasihan in the odd semester of the 2016/2017 academic year. The population of this research is 135 students of class VIIIA-D of SMP Negeri 2 Kasihan. Random Sampling used to take the sample data, classes B and D are the class sample, and class A is the test class. The instrument used is questionnaires time management, questionnaires interpersonal skills, and mathematic exam cases. Every device being studied through validation tests, rehabilitation tests, and especially discrimination power used to study the mathematic exam case instrument. After all the data being collected, a further study being held through the normality test and homogeneity test. From now on, the hypothetical test being held with the factorial design of 2  2. In the end, the ANAVA test also being conducted through t-test and Least Significant Different (LSD) to compare the highest and lowest average of every instrument. The result of this research is: (1) There is an influence of time management on mathematic learning outcomes in students class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Kasihan in the odd semester of 2016/2017 academic year with the  is = 9,5073 >  = 3,986 in the 5% significance. (2)  There is an influence of interpersonal skill on mathematic learning outcomes in students class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Kasihan in the odd semester of 2016/2017 academic year with the  is = 4,6077 ≥  = 3,986 in the 5% significance. (3) There is an influence of time management and interpersonal skill on mathematic learning outcomes in students class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Kasihan in the odd semester of 2016/2017 academic year with the >  is = 4.0858 ≤   in the 5% significance.

Abstract

Several factors can cause the learning process to become less optimal: learning interest, the interaction of classmates, and home study environment. The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not a positive and significant relationship between interest in learning, the interaction of classmates, and home study environment with the results of learning mathematics class VIII students even semester Muhammadiyah Junior High School Pakem (SMP Muhammadiyah Pakem) Sleman academic year 2016/2017. The population of this study is all students of class VIII even semester SMP Muhammadiyah Pakem Sleman academic year 2016/2017 as many as four classes of 150 students. Samples were taken by random sampling technique and obtained class VIII D consisting of 37 students. The data retrieval technique was obtained by the questionnaire method to know the interest of learning, the interaction of classmates, and home study environment, and test method to know the result of student learning mathematics. Test the instrument using validity test, a test of different power, and reliability test. The prerequisite analysis test consists of a normality test, independent test, and linearity test—data analysis for hypothesis test using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The result showed a positive and significant relationship between the interest of learning, the interaction of classmates, and the home learning environment with the learning mathematics results obtained Fcount = 3.842212452. At the same time, Ftable = 2.89 with a double correlation coefficient of 0,508793279 and equation multiple linear regression of three variables that is Y = - 49,5539718 + 0,49018498X1 + 0,2143675792X2 + 0,5154075895X3. Relative contribution of X1 is 40,68324615%, relative contribution X2 equal to 15,77064916%, and X3 equal to 43,5461047%, and effective contribution of X1 equal to 10,53169637%, effective contribution of X2 equal to 4,08255742%, and X3 is 11, 27280628%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The use of fewer media to explain material resulted in students is less active when the learning process so that students have difficulty understanding material. This is guessed to be one of the factors of mathematics student’s value is low. This research is intended to know (1) whether or not differences in mathematics learning outcomes by using GeoGebra assisted problem-based learning model with a direct learning model, and (2) to know the effectiveness of two models on the learning outcomes of  X class Of SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta In Academic Year Of 2016/2017. The population of this research is students of X classes of Muhammadiyah Senior High School 5 Yogyakarta (SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta) in the academic year 2016/2017. Samples were taken by random sampling technique to class, to get XF as experiment class and XB as control class. This experiment design is a post-test only control design. The data get from the post-test result in the description. Analysis of test instrument use validity test and reliability test. The analysis technique consists of (1) test of requirement: test of normality and test of homogeneity, and (2) test of hypothesis. Test of hypothesis use statistics test of t-student. Hypothesis testing is done two times; the first hypothesis and the second hypothesis. The result on significance is 5%, and df = 62 showed that: (1) there were differences in mathematics learning outcomes using GeoGebra assisted problem-based learning model with a direct learning model. It is showed by tcount = 5,031541 and ttable = 1,999. So that tcount = 5,031541 > ttable = 1,999, (2) problem-based learning model more effective than direct learning model to learning outcomes of the student. It is showed by tcount = 5,031541 and ttable = 1,670. So that tcount = 5,031541 > ttable = 1,670.

Abstract

This research is based on the less optimal use of student books as teaching material and unavailability of modules, mainly facilitating students to learn in groups. Modules with NHT cooperative learning model can be used as teaching materials to ease students in learning mathematics by group discussion. This development research aims to manage and develop teaching materials in the form of Mathematics Module with Numbered-Heads Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning Model on the two-dimensional figure (Square and Triangle) for VII grade students. This study also aims to determine the feasibility of modules developed based on material experts, media experts, and student responses. This research was conducted using the ADDIE development model. The development steps include Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The Mathematics Module on two-dimensional figures (Square and Triangle) for grade VII Students is developed by integrating NHT cooperative learning steps. This product has passed through a revision phase based on the advice and inputs of material experts and media experts. This research shows that the teaching materials in the form of Mathematics Module with Numbered-Heads-Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning Model on the two-dimensional figure (Square and Triangle) for Junior High School Students in Grade VII have excellent quality proven from validity criteria. Based on the materials expert assessment, the average score of 137 meets the very - good criteria, and the assessment of media experts obtained an average of 136.3 that fulfills the criteria very well. The students' responses obtained an average of 131.6, which meets the criteria very well as well. Based on the results of the research, the Mathematics Module with Numbered-Heads-Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning Model on two-dimensional figure material (Square and Triangle) for Junior High School Students in Grade VII is suitable for mathematics learning.

Abstract

Low student learning outcomes related to a variety of factors. Numerical ability, the discipline of a student, and interest in learning a few factors relate to learning outcomes. This research aims to know if there is a real and significant of relationship numerical ability, the discipline of a student, and interest of learning with students mathematics learning outcomes in class VII in Muhammadiyah Junior High School 9 Yogyakarta (SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta) regency of even semester in the academic year of 2016/2017. The sample population in SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in the academic year 2016/2017 consists of 5 classes. A sample class is a class VII A with using random sampling. The technique of the data collection method a questionnaire method and the test method. Data collection instruments using a numerical ability test, questionnaires discipline of student, questionnaires interest of learning, and mathematics achievement test. Test research instruments used validity, different test power, and reliability test. Analysis prerequisite test, including normality test, linearity test, and independent test. Data analysis for hypothesis testing using simple correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between numerical ability, the discipline of a student, and interest in learning of mathematics learning outcomes. The significant level of 5%,   and  with multiple correlation coefficient of R = 0,866, and multiple regression equation their variables is . Donations are relatively X1=60,958%, X2=38,846%, X3=0,196%, with multiple determination coefficient of 0,750 and the effective contribution X1=45,688%, X2=29,115%, X3=0,147%.

Abstract

Every citizen is entitled to educational services despite limitations such as lack of hearing resulting in obstacles in communicating with the environment or often called deaf. The availability of teaching materials for deaf students is not yet available. It is one of the inhibiting factors of efficient and effective learning, hence the need for innovative, varied, contextual, and by the needs of the students. The aim of this research is 1) to design the mathematics module with scientific approach on the flat side room facet for the deaf students of grade VIII SMPLB-B, 2) to know the feasibility of the mathematics module by scientific approach on plyhedron material for the deaf students of class VIII SMPLB B. This study was a Research and Development with development model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects were three expert teaching materials, two expert media modules, and four students of class VIII in SLB Negeri 2 Bantul, and two students of class VIII in SLB Wiyata Dharma I Sleman. Data collection techniques used were interviews and questionnaires. The research instrument used in the form of a questionnaire to expert assessment modules, expert teaching materials, and student response. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. Results of research and development showed that the mathematical e-module developed in the excellent category based on questionnaire assessment by expert instructional materials included in the first category with an average score of 84,6—the questionnaire results assessment by expert modules included in the good with an average score of 82.5. The questionnaire results by the joint expert media modules and expert materials included a good category with an average score of 83,8. At the same time, the results of student responses questionnaire in classes of test products included in the excellent categories with an average score of 85. The assessment results indicate that the math module with a scientific approach on the plyhedron material that had been developed fit for use in the learning process.

Abstract

The availability of learning materials using a scientific approach that can facilitate students to learn actively and independently is still limited. The mathematic module material form of algebra is one of the alternative materials that can be used to facilitate students in an independent study actively. This research aims to develop a mathematical module of algebraic form material for students in grade VII SMP/MTs with a scientific approach and test the feasibility of the module. This type of research is research development, a mathematical module of algebraic form material for students in grade VII SMP/MTs with a scientific approach. In developing this module refers to researcher development model ADDIE that includes five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The instruments used in the study of this form of assessment sheets for expert assessment sheets for the material, media experts, and student response now. This is a subject matter, media experts, and students of State Junior High School 15 Yogyakarta (SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta) and Muhammadiyah Islamic Junior High School Karangkajen (Mts Muhammadiyah Karangkajen). Using qualitative analysis, technical data analysis is converted into a cumulative value scale Likert—data collection techniques in the form of an interview and question form. The results of this research and development show that mathematics developed modules are included in the category of very good based on the assessment by the expert question form the material with a score of 102.33; question form assessment by media expert with score 74.67; and the average student response results in this study was 86,52. The assessment results indicate that the mathematical module of algebraic from material for students in grade VII SMP/MTs with a scientific approach worthy of use in the learning process.

Abstract

Mathematics learning media in the learning process can help students understand mathematics, but in fact, learning media availability is still limited. This study aims to develop learning media using Adobe Flash CS.3 with a contextual approach on subject matter Polyhedron for students of SMP/MTs VIII grade that eligible to use in the mathematics learning process. This study included research and development using the ADDIE method that consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Subjects were subject matter experts, media experts, and students of Muhammadiyah Junior High School (SMP Muhammadiyah) 4 Yogyakarta and State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 1 Gamping. Data were analyzed using qualitative analysis were converted into a cumulative grade Likert scale—data collection techniques, such as interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The product media developed has been assessed and validated by three experts, math learning materials, and three math learning media experts. The results of the expert assessment of the material obtained a score of 68 on average with a very good category. The results of expert media assessment obtained an average score of 105 with a very good category. The students 'responses to the technical quality assessed in the small-scale trials obtained an average score of 47.05 with both categories. The students' response to the technical quality assessed in the classroom usage test scored an average of 50.3 with either category. When viewed from the material experts and the media experts into the category, the feasibility level of the learning media of mathematics is very good, whereas when viewed from the student response on small-scale testing and trial class usage into the category of good. So that learning media developed feasible to use in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of lesson favored by students because it seems difficult to learn math. Difficulties of student learning result in a lack of learning outcomes. With the presence of a student's creative spirit, high learning motivation, and a conducive social environment are expected to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between learning creativity, learning motivation, and social environment with mathematics learning outcomes in students class XI Science (IPA) of  State Senior High School 9 Yogyakarta (SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta) Year of  2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of class XI IPA grade in SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2016/2017, consisted of class XI IPA, XI IPA II, XI IPA III, XI IPA IV, XI IPA V, totaling 148 students. Samples were taken from XI IPA III as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The writer uses a questionnaire method to collect the data of learning creativity, learning motivation, and social environment and test method to get the resulting learning of math. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between learning creativity, learning motivation, and social environment with mathematics learning outcomes in students class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta Year of 2016/2017. Abstract

The low student learning outcomes are influenced by several factors, one of which the model used in the less varied learning of mathematics is still centered on the teacher. This study aims to determine more effective learning between mathematics learning using cooperative learning model type two to stay two strays with learning mathematics with a cooperative learning model type index card match to students' mathematics learning outcomes. This study population was all seven grade students of State Islamic Junior High School 7 Sleman (MTs Negeri 7 Sleman) regency Academic Year 2016/2017, which consists of 5 classes. The sampling technique using a random sampling technique and selected class VII A as an experimental I class and class VII C as an experimental II class. The data was collected using the test method—tests using instrument validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques used for the analysis include the prerequisite test, normality test, and homogeneity test. Analysis of data used hypothesis testing. Based on mathematics learning result obtained that 1)  and  which means . This means that there is a difference in learning outcomes between learning mathematics using cooperative learning model type two stay two strays with mathematics learning using a cooperative learning model type index card match of seven grade students of MTs Negeri 7 Sleman in even semester regency Academic Year 2016/2017. 2)  and  which means . This shows that the learning of mathematics with cooperative learning model type two stay two strays are more effective than the learning of mathematics using cooperative learning model type index card match towards mathematics learning outcomes in seven grade students of MTs Negeri 7 Sleman in even semester regency Academic Year 2016/2017.
