Abstract

The learning model used in Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta has not been optimal to develop student cooperation. This research aims to determine (1) the presence or absence of difference in the ability of student cooperation in learning mathematics taught using cooperative learning model type of TPS with taught using direct learning model and (2) which learning model is more effective between cooperative learning model type of Think Pair Share (TPS) direct learning model toward the ability of student cooperation. This research is experimental. The population is the students of class VII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta even semester academic year 2016/2017. By random sampling, samples selected class VIIF as the experimental class and class VIIG as the control class. Instrument data collection using the ability of student cooperation observation sheet. The observation sheet has been by construct validity. The prerequisite analysis test used a normality test using the Chi-square formula and a homogeneity test using the Bartlett test. Data analysis used is the hypothesis test using a t-test with a significant level of 5% and degrees of freedom 61. Based on the result of the hypothesis, I test obtained . Because , so is rejected. There are differences in student cooperation in learning mathematics, taught using a cooperative learning model type of TPS with a direct learning model. Furthermore, the results of the hypothesis II test is obtained . Because , so is rejected. Thus, TPS's cooperative learning model type is more effective than the direct learning model toward student cooperation.

Abstract

Limited learning resources is a problem that affects the achievement of learning goals. Teaching materials that can help students learn independently with or without a teacher's guidance is a module. This research is the development research to compose a mathematics module in trigonometry material based on discovery learning for grade 10th of Senior High School (SMA). Knowing the module that is developed is suitable or not if used in a mathematics lesson. This research uses  Research and Development to identify potential and problems, collect the information, design a product, design validation, design revision, experiment, and product revision. This research and development of the module are material expert, media expert, and students in SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta and SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta. The Mathematics Module is developed using a Likert scale that changes the qualitative value into a quantitative value based on discovery learning. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews and questionnaires. The research results indicate that the mathematics module in statistics material based on discovery learning for grade 10th of SMA/MA has a good quality seen from the validity criteria. Based on material experts and media experts' assessment, an average score is 89,67 and 104, including very well criteria. The student's response to the module indicates that the module's good quality obtained an average score is 76,58. Based on the research results, the mathematics module in trigonometry material based on discovery learning for grade 10th of SMA/MA is suitable for the mathematics lesson.

Abstract

This research was based on the teacher's rule. The facilitator task requires a teacher to provide teaching materials appropriate to the learning process. The purpose of this research was to develop products that can be used in mathematics learning. This research is a module for grade VIII students of Junior High School (SMP) on Algebraic operations using guided discovery. This research used the Research and Development (R & D) steps. The steps included two aspects: (1) planning and making module (2) propriety. Planning and making module include: (a) Potency and problems, (b) data collecting, (c) Product Design, (d) Validation of design, (e) Revision of the design. The propriety module includes: (a) The product's test and (b) its revision. The instruments used in the module are: (1) The evaluation sheet of media experts, (2) the evaluation sheet of materials experts, and (3) The sheet of student response. Validation analysis of module is 83 (very good) for media expert, 80,333 (very good) for material expert, and 73,6256 (very good) for the student's response. The instrument from media experts, material experts, and student response showed that the average was 236,9586 in the very good category. Based on the combined analysis by media experts, material experts, and student response, the module for grade VIII of Junior High School on algebraic operation using guided discovery Principles is very good and proper for use.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the science that grow as technology advances. One way to achieve the learning objectives of mathematics learning media is to make an exciting and fun resource in the learning process. The availability of media learning in school is still limited to print media. Teachers have not used multimedia interactive learning lab space, so it is rarely utilized in learning. This research aims to develop research to generate media learning math using adobe flash CS6 in learning mathematics on linear equations in two variables (SPLDV) grade 8 Junior High School. Research development uses the ADDIE model of development through five stages of development: the stage of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subject is material expert, media experts, and State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 1 Kalasan. The instruments used in this is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively to count the score test results of the feasibility study developed media. The research development of interactive multimedia learning-based adobe flash based on the quality of every aspect of the media learning in terms of expert material in categories with a perfect percentage of an average score of 93,33%, in terms of media experts in categories with a significant percentage of an average score of 94,73%, and the response of the students in the category is exciting with a percentage of an average score of 85,84%. Based on the assessment, then interactive multimedia learning-based adobe flash is handy in the learning process.

Abstract

Students' cooperation is still low. Students prefer to work individually in the learning process. The objective of this research is to improve students' corporation by implementing corporative style 'Think Pair Share' Class VII at Islamic Junior High School (MTS) Muhammadiyah Karangkajen  First Semester in Academic Year 2017/2018 This is a classroom action research in which took Students' Class VII A at MTS Muhammadiyah Karangkajen as the object to implement cooperative learning style Think Pair share in learning mathematic. This research was conducted in two cycles, and each cycle had two meetings. The data collecting technique used observation and interview. The Data was analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. This research showed that cooperative learning style 'Think Pair Share' could improve the students' cooperation in Class VII A at MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen First Semester in Academic Year 2017/2018. It is proved in the result of observation in each cycle. The first cycle showed 42% (Average), and the second cycle increased to be 74% (High). Moreover, students' interviewing showed students' cooperative improvement from the first cycle to the second cycle.

Abstract

This research is motivated by VII students of SMP Negeri 9 Yogyakarta. They are less disciplined in learning, lack learning interaction with peers, and lack parental attention. This study aims to determine whether or not a positive and significant relationship among learning discipline, learning interaction with peers, and parents' attention with learning achievement of mathematics students class VIII State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 9 Yogyakarta in odd semester academic year 2017/2018. This research population comprises all students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 9 Yogyakarta in the odd semester academic year 2017/2018, consisting of grades VIIIA, VIIIB, VIIIC, VIIID, and VIIIE VIIIF, totaling 203 students. Sampling technique using random sampling technique and class VIII D is chosen as the sample class. The instrument of collecting data using a learning discipline questionnaire, a learning interaction questionnaire with peers, and the parent's attention and mathematics test questionnaire. The analysis prerequisite test includes a normality test, linearity tests, and independent tests. Data analysis to hypotheses testing using correlation analysis product-moment and double linear regression analysis. This research shows that if there is positive and significant learning discipline, learning interaction with peers and parents' attention with learning achievement of mathematics students class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Yogyakarta in the odd semester academic year 2017/2018. This is indicated by Fcount = 5,29268 and Ftable = 2,92228, Fcount > Ftable with R = 0,5883 and R2 = 0,3460 with Big relative contribution and effective contribution

Abstract

Many factors cause poor student learning outcomes. The learning environment in school and the independence of learning are some factors that correlate with learning outcomes. This study aims to determine a positive and significant correlation between the learning environment at school and the independence of learning with the results of learning mathematics for eight grade students of State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 11 Yogyakarta year of 2017/2018. This study's population was all of SMP Negeri 11 Yogyakarta's eighth-grade students in the academic year 2017/2018. The number of students was 130 students. The experimental class and the sample class were taken by random sampling technique to each class. It was obtained of VIII C as the experimental class and VIII B as the sample class. The data collecting technique was done by test and questionnaire method. There are several types of instruments used in this research. There are validity tests, different power tests, and reliability tests. Analysis prerequisite tests were normality test, independent test, and linearity test. Data analysis for hypothesis tests were using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The first results showed a positive and significant correlation between the learning environment in school with the learning mathematics results by and , so obtained . The second results showed a positive and significant correlation between the independence of learning with the results of learning mathematics by and , so obtained. The third results showed a positive and significant correlation between the learning environment in school and the independence of learning with learning mathematics by and , so obtained. Double correlation coefficient (R) amount 0,8861 and coefficient of determination (R2) amount 0,7852 with the linear regression equation ie . Relative contribution of X1 is equal to 57,1280%, and X2 amount 42,8720% and relative contribution of X1 is equal to 44,8545% and X2 is equal to 33,6613%.

Abstract

The teacher learning-centered causes the students to be less active in responding to the explanation due to students' different understanding levels. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the students learning activities. This study aims to enhance student learning activities in learning mathematics by using Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model. This study is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles. This research is the students of class VII C Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta academic year 2017/2018. The object of this research is the improvement of student learning activity in learning mathematics. The data collection techniques organized as observation, interview, and success criteria of this study are marked by increasing the average percentage of student learning activities by at least 61%. It is called a good category. The results show that the learning model with STAD can improve students' learning activities in learning mathematics Class VII C. it can be seen from the average percentage of the student learning activities' observations in cycle I from 54.91% criteria. It gains in cycle II about 67.73% with good criteria. Moreover, students' interviews show an improvement in students' learning activities from cycle 1 to cycle II.

Abstract

The dressing of students disciplinary at IX grade of MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Kalibening Banjarnegara in the Academic Year of 2016/2017 and to know the contribution of the student in mathematics learning at grade IX of Islamic Junior High School (MTs) Muhammadiyah 2 Kalibening 2 Banjarnegara in the Academic Year of 2016/2017. The type of this research was qualitative by wing purpose sampling. The subject was collected from IX-A. The data was collected using observation and questionnaire. Content validation was used to analyze the instrument of the research. The research was analyzed by using the descriptive qualitative method. Barect on the result of the research, the researcher concludes that the method is learning on a tribute by improvising the students' learning discipline at IX grade of MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Kalibening Banjarnegara Academic Year of 2016/2017. It was shown by the achievement which students got before and after giving an action. The students' average score was 55, and into 57,67, re-teaching affected the low classroom. The middle classroom had an average score of about 60,33 at first and turned into 62,58 because it was given action. The improvement of student's disciplinary learning was contributed by conventional learning. Next, the full classroom about 70,2 before getting action. After giving an action, it increased by about 72. It can be concluded that the improvement of student's disciplinary learning was contributed by learning methods. The re-teaching learning method is contributive because it showed that the full classroom's improvement affects the bottom classroom.

Abstract

The availability of teaching materials based on the 2013 curriculum to facilitate students to self-study actively and independently is still limited. The quadrilateral and triangle material math modules are some of the alternative teaching materials used to actively facilitate active learning. This study aims to develop a quadrilateral and triangle material mathematical module for students of class VII SMP / MTs based on the 2013 curriculum and know the feasibility of modules developed based on material experts, media experts, and student responses. This research type is the research of development, in the form of math material module of quadrilateral and triangle for class VII student of Junior High School (SMP/MTs) based on curriculum 2013. In developing this module, the researcher refers to the model development of ADDIE covering five stages: analysis, design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The instruments used in this research are the assessment sheets for the material expert, the assessment sheet for the media expert, and the student response questionnaire. This study's subjects are material experts, media experts, and students of SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta and MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen. Data collection technique collection in the form of interviews and questionnaires. The results of this research and development show that the module. The mathematics developed included in the category is very well based questionnaire assessment by a material expert with a score of 136,67; Questionnaire assessment by experts media with a score of 126,33; and average student response results in this study is 130,05. The assessment results show that the mathematics module quadrilateral and triangular materials for grade VII students of SMP / MTs based on the 2013 curriculum are worthy of use in the learning process.
