Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the Re-Order point (ROP) between the ongoing policy of the company to the theoretical calculation according to the method of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) in manufacturing company. The research methodology that is used in this research is the method of quantitative analysis. It is a scientific approach to managerial decision making in which the source data is the primary data obtained directly from resource persons to provide the necessary data. The data is taken from the data the raw materials the company from 2007 to 2012. The results of this study state that the re-order point calculations specific to the year 2012 only, according to the company policy is 34,508 Kg, while according to the calculation method of EOQ is 91 925 Kg. This difference is due to the calculation of safety stock and the use of time while waiting.

Abstract

The development of C2C e-commerce business in Indonesia has grown quite rapidly. This phenomenon is motivated by such a rapid development of the Internet. In the Internet-based commerce transaction, the trust factor (trust) becomes so important because consumers tend to be more concerned if e-commerce merchants do not comply with the obligations of business transactions compared to conventional transaction. This study aims to determine the effect of trust on purchasing decisions and their impact on repeat purchases by customers in the buying and selling forum Kaskus site. The number of respondents are 200 people who have experienced in buying and selling on Kaskus site and this research model is tested using path analysis.The study states that the customers’ trust variable has positive and significant impact on purchasing decisions, the variable purchase decisions has positive and significant effect on repeat purchase and customer trust has positive and significant impact on repeat purchase, but the magnitude of the effect becomes larger after the purchase decision (indirect effect ).

Abstract

Implementation and management of good corporate governance, better known by the term Good Corporate Governance, is a concept that emphasizes the importance of shareholders to obtain true, accurate, and punctual information. In this era of global competition state borders are no longer a barrier to competition; only companies that implement good corporate governance (GCG) are capable of winning the competition. GCG is a must in order to establish conditions of tough and sustainable company. GCG is necessary to create a system and a strong corporate structure so as to become world class company. Good Corporate Governance is basically a system (input, process, and output) and a set of rules that govern the relationship between various parties (stakeholders); especially in the narrow sense, the relationship between the shareholders, the board of commissioners, and the board of directors in order to achieve corporate objectives. Good Corporate Gorvernance encloses to regulate these relationships and prevent significant errors in the company's strategy and to ensure the errors occur can be improved immediately.

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyze the influence of ability, effort and support towards employee performance in Plaza Semanggi branch of Gramedia bookstore. Method used in this research is the correlation of Pearson’s product-moment and double regression. The gathered data from questionnaire result provided uses likert scale and primary data from the company. The research result is to identify employees’ ability, effort, and support of organization having strong relationship and significant influence towards employees’ performance in Plaza Semanggi branch’s Gramedia bookstore. Hopefully, the organization’s ability, effort and support could be increased and became main factor in increasing employees’ performance. Besides, it is expected that the research result could give input for the company, especially in Plaza Semanggi branch, to increase the employee’s performance, which later will give positive impact for company development.

Abstract

This research is conducted in PT Merapi Utama Pharma in order to determine the influence of training to the sales force in selling a new product. The methodology is Mann-Whitney Test manually using formula and table, and using Statistical Programs for Social Studies ( SPSS ). The research result that the average sales volume of the trained sales forces is the same as the average sales volume of the untrained sales force.

Abstract

Lately, the business development based on religion background, Islam, is growing and expanding. Besides banking, insurance, education, and others, the sharia concept also in hotel. Sharia hotel is an interesting phenomenon. On the other side, the appearance of sharia hotels in the nation is having two thumbs up. Sharia hotel brand, as in other sharia products, eventhough the target market is more specific and segmented, but it is possible that the product will have high demand not from Islamic community only. The article uses research method regarding trend analysis and literature review. The result showed that there is challenge towards sharia hotels to present concept, human resources and implementation that represents business figure based on sharia: eastern specialty, barokah, classy, and interesting.

Abstract

Purchase decisions aren’t made necessarily planned, because impulsive buying is such a result of environmental stimuli shopping. Things affecting unplanned purchasing decisions are perceived by stimulation and crowding. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there are influences between perceived crowding and stimulation of impulse buying simultaneously or partial. The object used is one of the largest retailers in Cilegon. This research design is quantitative analysis of the consumer unit. The collecting data technique includes using questionnaires, interviews, and literature from previous research. Data processed using the SPSS 16.0 program through the validity and reliability, normality test, and regression analysis. The study states that there is significant influence between perceived crowding and perceived stimulation both simultaneous and partial response to impulse buying.

Abstract

Factor analysis of non functional Demand Non-Member On to Demand aimed to discover whether there is significant influence of non-functional variable on demand. Three independent variables (the effect), ie, X1 for Snob Effect (Mode), X2 for the Bandwagon effect (Prestige) and X3 for the Veblen Effect (Show-off) and 1 dependent variable Y for Demand. The number of respondents of 50 and 22 indicators is statistically valid. Analysis tool using the Model Correlation and simple Regression (Simple/Bivariate), Correlation and Regression Simultaneously (Multiple) Regression and Partial Correlation. The results of analysis proved statistically with LOC of 95%, indicating that the bivariate, partial unison and Simultaneously there is positive and significant correlation between variables X to Y, except for variable X2 (Prestige) on Bivariate correlation.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse whether the implementation of PKBL program at PT Waskita Karya comply with general principles of CSR and Peraturan Menteri Negara BUMN No. PER-05/MBU/2007, and to know whether the implementation report of PKBL at PT Waskita Karya comply with those principles. The method used in this research is descriptive method with content analysis approach by analysing the implementation and reporting of social responsibility,. The results of this research show that PT Waskita Karya is already has done its PKBL. But the implementation did not comply with GRI Guidelines and PKBL Report is not a Social Responsibility Report mentioned in UU No. 40 Tahun 2007. The recommendations are PT Waskita Karya should fill its Working and Budget Plan in compliance with Permen BUMN No. PER-05/MBU/2007, do more various events on its Program Bina Lingkungan and learn more CSR issues in GRI Guidelines so that Program Bina Lingkungan PT Waskita Karya could be equal with CSR.

Abstract

PT. PLN (Persero) Distribusi Jakarta Raya dan Tangerang have implemented Internal Control and Good Corporate Governance. The research would like to evaluate the implementation of Internal Control accordance with COSO’s criteria (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission) and KNKG’s criteria (Komite Nasional Kebijakan Governance). Based on research found that five components of COSO such as control environment, risk assessment, control activities, information and communication, monitoring have been implemented but unfortunately one of the component such as control activities not yet implemented properly accordance with COSO’s criteria. The company also have been imlemented GCG accordance with KNKG’s criteria but still need development through internalization GCG’s spirit among the employees because some employees still have different perception related to GCG. For example from employee stand point there’s no problem receive special gift or receive special payment from customer and have a conflict of interest when deal with public accountant.
