Abstract

Business conditions change quickly, pushing companies to change the way they compete. The Era of knowledge-based economy provides challenges for collaboration, innovation, adaptation, technological mastery and market, as well as intellectual assets management company. Relying on existing core competencies does not guarantee the company able to create competitive advantages. To face the challenges of existing companies must be able to manage the knowledge that having through the application of Knowledge Management (KM).Similarly with colleges based on human capital, the need to manage organizations that encourage the formation of cultural knowledge creation, knowledge sharing, and knowledge utilization through the application of Knowledge Management. With Knowledge Management, recognition quality of a lecturer is not based only on seniority but on the extent to which lecturers are acts as a general user, specialist, solution communities, as well as professional.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the condition of the elements of brand equity Celebrity Fitness, namely knowing the brand awareness, brand association is formed, to know how the perception of performance and the interests of the brand, how consumers brand loyalty, and what attributes of service quality a priority for improved performance to can meet consumers desire to achieve satisfaction. The method used is descriptive method with the sampling technique using probability sampling (simple random sampling), with regional research area in West Jakarta. The results of this study indicate that the overall brand equity of the company is good enough to position the brand awareness top of mind, the brand associations that are formed from Celebrity Fitness is where fitness is comfortable and fun and has a diverse and interesting program, another association was formed team aggressive promotion. Performance level of perceived quality is also good enough. To Brand loyalty are in poor condition because of the high percentage of switchers. Overall customer satisfaction levels are good enough just need a little improvement in the performance of staff. The implication of this research is PT Exertainment should improve the performance of some quality attributes are prioritized so that the loyalty of the members has also increased.

Abstract

This study is in research domain of behavioral accounting that is based on the current aspect is still interesting to explore.This study aims to reveal differences in perceptions of students, auditors and company managers to public accountant responsility related to expectation gap that includes fraud disclosures, maintain of independence, providing early warning of possibility of business failure, violation of law and improving audit quality. This research is quantitative research using descriptive and comparative research method. Data collective tehnique use survey method with sample was determined by non probability under convenience sample. Data quality was examined with using cronbach’s alpha shows the data is valid and realible. Data normality test used independent t test showed data in normal curve, no multicolinearity and no hetrogenity. First to fifth hyphotesis showed the difference of perception amongs PPAk students, KAP’s auditors and company managers to public accountant responsibility in various dimensions of expectation gap in Jakarta.

Abstract

PT Aqua Golden Mississippi is a company that plans to go private, but until today have not obtained approval from the shareholders. Failure may be caused from several things: the company offer price is too small, no quorum, shares held is still profitable for shareholders, and other factors. The existence of the companys plan to go private would affect the performance of the company stock. Stock performance can be analyzed with - average rate of profit, the level of risk, and sensitivity to the stock exchange. The method used in the calculation of stock performance in this paper is the GMR, STDEV, CAPM, and DDM for the calculation of estimated stock price. Through the conducted analysis, investors / shareholders are encouraged to pay attention to the news and information related to go private to be conducted by the company, stock performance, and perform estimate calculations. This is to find out what the right decision for private investors.

Abstract

Research on the effectiveness of interagency cooperation in recovery operation of natural disaster in DKI Jakarta regions combines between the research of interagency cooperation in disaster context and the research of interagency cooperation in public services. This research is deepened by comparing the perception of governmental organization and Non Governmental Organization (NGO). The aim of this research is to do the empirical test of the relationship of situational factors to interagency processes and outcomes. This research is not only to test the hyphotesis but also to observe the phenomenon in the interagency cooperation. The result of this reasearch shows that the perception of the leader of governmental organization toward communication is higher than the perception of leader of NGO. Cooperation between governmental and NGO within the effort to serve the disaster DKI Jakarta regions becomes a model of partnership interagency cooperation.

Abstract

Strategic entrepreneurship has emerged as a new concept in examining convergence in entrepreneurship studies (opportunity-seeking behavior) and strategic management (advantage-seeking behavior). Studies in the area of strategic management have gradually exposed the relationship betweenstrategic management and entrepreneurship: entrepreneurial strategy making; intrapreneurship; entrepreneurial strategic posture within organizations; entrepreneurial orientation; strategic managementintegration as a context for entrepreneurial actions; and entrepreneurship theory with strategic management and the resource-based view (RBV). A conceptual model of SE that has been developed by Ireland et al.suggested that a firm which linearly and sequentially: employs an entrepreneurial mindset to identify opportunities; manages resources strategically to tackle the opportunity; applies creativity and innovation; andgenerates a competitive advantage is strategic and entrepreneurship operation. Managers must maximize the pursuit of new business opportunities while simultaneously maximize the generation and application of temporary competitive advantages to sustainably create organizational value. This paper develops a conceptual framework that demonstrate the role of strategic entrepreneurship in building sustainable competitiveadvantage.

Abstract

Knowledge management is an emerging discipline and professionalism, creativity, innovation, organization and teams need to be thought about in this new context. This paper creates a framework in which to discuss these concepts with literature research. It goes on to explore how our professionalisms, creativity and innovations is blocked in variety ways, including deep-seated beliefs about the world. The need for professional skills today in workplace faces a number of challenges, especially in unfamiliar and unpredictable situations. Finally this paper takes a brief look at two tools to support knowledge management, professionalisms, creativity and innovations - one in the human domain and the other in the technology domain. We are also needs to boost its capacity for continuous professionalism, creativity and innovation for both technology, social, economic, and organization reasons.

Abstract

One of the growing tourism facilities is the restaurant that offers a certain menu. Can be ascertained with the development of restaurants in the city of Bogor and the race in competition provides satisfaction to its customers are increasing. Although customer satisfaction is one of the main goals, but there is another side that often burdens the mind of the restaurant. The burden of thought is simply presented in the following question: why is the menu that is sold in demand does not provide a significant profit, but the menu that is sold less in demand has made significant profit. One of the efforts made to face the fact this is the menu still serves as a typical restaurant menu, even though profits are not significant. On the other principle that the sale should provide benefits can still be significant, so to overcome this problem required steps up marketing strategies and design with attention to any changes that occurred.

Abstract

Performance financial evaluation became a primary indicator for management, especially a bank. This research evaluated asset and liability management of PT Bank X to describe its risk and return, by using financial ratios. The results found that performance ratios of PT Bank X decreasingly, where interest margin and net margin decreased to negative. This because of interest expenses and other operational expenses increased. Risk evaluation based on liquidity ratio were also decreasing in 2006 – 2007, because of the most assets of the bank became illiquid assest and default credits. On the other hand, this conditions became worse because of “Rush”, many of their customers took their money out from the bank on the same period. In 2008, bank has reduced their default credits succesively and made its liquiditiy better than previous year. Bad quality of credit management and control made the bank budgets their bad allowances for default credits higher and made bank’s capital risk higher too. Finally, all of bank’s capital was financed with their liabilities. The other hand, bank’s operating risk were recovered slowly, by organzation rationalization to reduce number of employees, as efficiency also. But this effort, indeed, made employee expenses increasing because management must pay golden-shake hand costs to employees.

Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to give an overview of comparative financial performance of Islamic banks with conventional banks based on the CAMEL method. The main question would be answered to know there is difference in the performance of conventional banking and Islamic banking are analyzed by using the ratio CAMEL. To prove the hypothesis that there is no significant difference between the banks financial performance Islamic and conventional banks (Ho) or there are significant differences between the financial performance of Islamic banks and conventional banks (Hi). Researchers used a parametric statistical technique, which consists of test data normality using the Kolmogorov Smirnov test and QQ plots, test of homogeneity using the F test (Levenes Test), and Independent Sample T-Test with significant value 5% confidence level (1 - α) = 95%. The results showed that the ratio of data CAMEL Islamic banks and conventional banks in normal distribution and homogeneous. Then it can be concluded that the variable CAR, NPL, and LDR between conventional banks and Islamic banks have significant differences, while the ROA and ROE of the two types of banking industry is not significantly different or relatively the same.
