Abstract

This research aimed to know the influence of animal feed given to cattle towards the dairy products, income, and small breeders income. The tourism being induced in this dairy products were souvenirs for tourists. Method of the survey were dairy farmers of KPSBU Member in the West Bandung Regency, through snowball sampling on 8 people with a total of 62 cattle breeders. Analysis test has been done for validity, reliability tests, and correlation analysis test and also test of track analysis. Testing on research data showed that all research variables are valid and reliable, the correlation between variables also showed a positive relationship. Path analysis produce: 1) the feed given to cattle amounted to 63.1% against dairy products affects, 2) the feed given to cattle has a positive effect against breeders income either directly or indirectly, 3) dairy products also has a positive effect against breeders income either directly or indirectly, and 4) the feed given to cattle and dairy products affect of 93% against breeders income.

Abstract

Our focus is the effect of the tourism ministry budget to promote tourism on the growing number of tourists. We used regression models using data for 2011 through 2016 to identify the impact of tourism marketing budgets on the growth in tourist numbers. The results show that the effect of higher marketing on the growth of the number of tourists depends on the level of tourism marketing budget that is in the ministry of tourism. More specifically, the results show that tourism marketing budgets have a major effect in increasing the number of foreign tourists visiting. However, the effect is different if applied to national tourism marketing. For the national tourism marketing budget is less effect in increasing the number of domestic tourists.

Abstract

The background to this research is based upon the phenomenon that is where lectures performances is not optimal so that the students' quality not favorable. As for the main factor, is the despicable performance of lecturer job satisfaction is low. Based on the previous researches, low job satisfaction is often caused by non-optimal of communication, work motivation and competences of lecturers at the private tourism college in west java. This study aims to acknowledge and analyze the impact of communication, work motivation and competences on job satisfaction and its implication on lecturers' performance in West Java private tourism college. This study uses a descriptive and explanatory survey approach. In this study, the samples were 224 lecturers in west java private colleges. The research used path analysis to interpret and explain the data result. The research concludes that there is an influence of the communication on job satisfaction of 3, 6%. Furthermore, the effect of work motivation on job satisfaction was 20, 3% and the effect of competences on job satisfaction were 12, 9%. In overall, the influence of independent variables on the job satisfaction was 70%, while the remaining 30% was from the other factors which were not examined for this research.

Abstract

Batu City is one of the famous tourist destinations in Indonesia and has many tourism potentials. From 2011 to 2015 data on the number of domestic tourists who came to Batu City are fluctuated and leads to decline. Based on this phenomenon, this study was conducted. This study aimed to do the tourists’ assessment about tourism attributes in Batu City. This study is descriptive and qualitative. The number of respondents is 100 respondents who are domestic tourists in Batu City. The result of this study is hospitality attribute in Batu City got the highest average score among other attributes. Hopefully, this study could be a description for tourism stake holder in Indonesia especially Batu City to decide steps for planning tourism in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to know the strategy of development of Tourism Destinations in the Togian Islands, Regency Tojo Una-Una, Central Sulawesi Province. The island has become a major national tourist's destination in Indonesia between 50 regions in Indonesia. However, the number of tourists visited the island were fluctuated for the last three years. This research examined the tourism strategy formulation based on internal and external factor analysis at the destination. The research used some instruments to compile data, such as observation, interview, questionnaires, and documentation. The research result indicated that there were several strategies that could be implemented in developing the Togian island. The strategies were as follows: 1) developing cultural and natural tours, such as bird watching, beach activities and Bajeu village visits; 2) establishing close relationship and cooperation between public and private sectors; 3) attracting foreign investors; 4) building and maintaining the tourist facilities in some strategic locations; 5) increasing community awareness for developing tourism; 6) developing ethnic-based tour packages. Therefore, some recommendations for the destination are on developing cultural, natural, and culinary tourism; improving the public facilities; developing accessibility; and strengthening cooperation among stakeholders.

Abstract

Bandung provides a variety of tourist attractions, such as culinary arts, theme parks, and shopping destination. The city is developed into a city of technology or technopolis which is located in the southern part region, called Gede Bage. Thus, to maintain the natural environment in the technology-based development area, the city also encouraging eco-tourism activities. Hence, the purpose of this study is to identify the concept of eco-tourism in accommodating the impact of technopolis development. The approach adopted in this study was comprehensive policy analysis approach that examined the norms imposed in developing the city and tourism. The norms consist of regulation, strategies, planning documents, law and other related policies. The results show that the existing facilities at technopolis area are potentials to be developed as eco-tourism attraction. Furthermore, competent human resources have played as an important role to succeed the Bandung Technopolis area as eco tourism attraction.

Abstract

Bengkulu is one of the provinces in Indonesia, which has many potentials in terms of natural and cultural diversity. Looking at the numbers of potentials for cultural tourism around the province, Bengkulu Province was expected to increase the number of tourists for its unique characteristic and good image adhering in the minds of prospective tourists as a cultural destination. Problems occurred in Bengkulu Province is a fluctuating level of tourist visits to the province, and the growth level tends to be low. This is due to the image of Bengkulu Province as a tourist destination that is not good enough in the minds of prospective tourists. Hence, Anjungan Bengkulu, which is located in Indonesian Miniature Park, Jakarta was having the effort to overcome this problem. Therefore, the researcher chose Cultural Event as the solution that can be implemented to improve the Destination Image of the province. On this study, the independent variable (X) was Cultural Event, consisting of Spectacularisation, Theme, Participation and Immersion. The dependent variable (Y) was Destination Image. The type of the research used was a descriptive explanatory survey, and supported by the cross-sectional method. The samples in this study were 108 respondents consisting of individual visitors at the Anjungan Bengkulu Cultural Event, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data analysis technique employed was multiple regressions. The result showed that the implementation of Cultural Event at Anjungan Bengkulu was assessed in the high category, with a dimension of "Spectacularisation" received highest score, and the lowest one was the "theme". Subsequently, visitors’ response regarding Destination Image at Anjungan Bengkulu was also categorized in a very high level, with a dimension of cognitive image received highest score and dimension of affective image became the lowest one. Results showed that there is a significant influence between Culture Event and Destination Image.
