Abstract

This research aims to know the strategy of development of Tourism Destinations in the Togian Islands, Regency Tojo Una-Una, Central Sulawesi Province. The island has become a major national tourist's destination in Indonesia between 50 regions in Indonesia. However, the number of tourists visited the island were fluctuated for the last three years. This research examined the tourism strategy formulation based on internal and external factor analysis at the destination. The research used some instruments to compile data, such as observation, interview, questionnaires, and documentation. The research result indicated that there were several strategies that could be implemented in developing the Togian island. The strategies were as follows: 1) developing cultural and natural tours, such as bird watching, beach activities and Bajeu village visits; 2) establishing close relationship and cooperation between public and private sectors; 3) attracting foreign investors; 4) building and maintaining the tourist facilities in some strategic locations; 5) increasing community awareness for developing tourism; 6) developing ethnic-based tour packages. Therefore, some recommendations for the destination are on developing cultural, natural, and culinary tourism; improving the public facilities; developing accessibility; and strengthening cooperation among stakeholders.

Abstract

Waduk Jatiluhur is in Jatiluhur Subdistrict, Purwakarta Regency, West Java Province. Now Perum Jasa Tirta II as a manager has been developing Waduk Jatiluhur as an integrated tourism area through Tourism Division with the aim of improving development effectiveness. Based on the results of the study can be concluded that the main of supporting factors is the beautiful natural panorama, the extent of Waduk Jatiluhur area and the atmosphere of tourism objects that provide comfort for visitors. However, the pattern of land use in Waduk Jatiluhur area that is considered to have supported the tourism activities does not have a zoning system so that the activity of tourism and hydropower activities have not had a clear division of zones. In supporting the development of tourism in Waduk Jatiluhur, zoning area is needed to separate the core activities of the Dam River Basin and Hydroelectric Power Plant with tourism activities or with community ponds to avoid errors in the land use so that the development of tourism can provide maximal contribution.

Abstract

Nepal Van Java is a tourism attraction that offers the beauty of local residences in Mount Sumbing slope located in Dusun Butuh, Magelang. According to a simple calculation of average visits up to a thousand visitors in one day, Nepal Van Java has a high visitors number according to a simple estimate of average visits. However, at this time, there are not many rural tourism products offered by Nepal Van Java because this destination is still in the planning stage where there is no planning for rustic tourism products. The purpose of this paper is to describe the planning process related to the village tourism product. Qualitative research methods have applied to this research, resulting in an understanding of the actual condition of village tourism products. Detailed planning related to Nepal Van Java tourism products includes planning on facilities, transportation systems, and introduction of visitors, with the idea of focusing on optimizing agricultural resources as agrotourism, potential aids for farm stays, and culture.

Abstract

Competition of hotel accommodation business is increasing especially in Bandung. Some hotels are trying to win the market with one of the ways continually improving guest loyalty so as to provide maximum benefits to stakeholders. The purpose of this study is to obtain the data (1) experiential marketing carried in hotel, (2) guest loyalty in hotel, (3) the influence of experiential marketing towards guests loyalty at Savoy Homann Bidakara Hotel. The object of this research is experiential marketing (independent variable) and loyalty (dependent variable) with the unit of analysis is the guests who stayed at the Savoy Homann Bidakara Hotel. The method used in this research is descriptive and verification, and the research design of survey. Sample in this study are 100 respondents with technique of sampling is simple random sampling.Technique of data analysis used is path analysis. The results showed that experiential marketing and loyalty guest at the hotel get high score and there is the influence of experiential marketing towards loyalty guests at the Hotel Savoy Homann Bidakara simultaneouslywith significant value 0,00.Guest loyalty partially only influenced three sub-variables of experiential marketing, that is feel, act, and relate with the influence value of 86% and the remaining 14 % was influenced by other factors which were not examined.

Abstract

Goa Pawon is one of tourist destination that has begun to be known by West Java’s people. In Goa Pawon, there are local people which becomes “ojeg”/motorcycle taxi drivers who often take tourists to Goa Pawon, but the survey results shown that they have not optimized their capacity to be able to act as a frontliner services for tourism. In fact, if they have basic knowledge of tourism and how to serve tourists excellently, tourists will feel satisfied whose impact is to increase their income as well as become agents that can accelerate the promotion and popularity of Goa Pawon.
