Abstract

Study on Effect of Cu Fertilizer against Production and Income of Potato Agribussines in Lembang Bandung. The study of the effect of Cu micro fertilizer on potatoes plant was conducted at Cikahuripan Village, Manoko with the altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level in Lembang West Java. Method used in this experiment was Randomized Blok Design (RBD) with 5 level dosages of Cu/plant i.e. 1) 0 ppm Cu (Control), 2) 3 ppm Cu/plant, 3) 20 ppm Cu/plant, 4) 30 ppm Cu/plant, and 5) 50 ppm Cu/ plant, all with 8 replication. The Cu fertilizer used in this experiment were: CuS04.4H2O with 23% concentration in form of solution. Two variables observed in this experiment were: tuber diameter, fresh condition, and Revenue and Cost Ratio (R/C ratio) analysis. The objective of the study was: to observe the effect of Cu micro fertilizer on the growth and the productivity, along with the revenue and the benefit and cost ratio. The results showed that, with the dosage 3 ppm Cu/plant, shows a positive effect of productivity, and the dosage 20 ppm Cu/plant yields optimum productivity i.e. 429.75 g/plant. The dosage greater than 20 ppm showed decreasing in productivity e.g. with 50 ppm Cu/plant caused physiological and metabolism disorder to the plant. From the labor cost and Revenue Analysis we noted the following result: 1) with the treatment of 20 ppm (C treatment) the revenue in Rp73,670,400 and R/C ratio of 1.82, 2) with the treatment of 3 ppm Cu/plant yield Rp 71,013,600 with R/C ratio of 1.82. 3) with the treatment of 40 ppm/plant yield Rp 63,874,800 with the R/C of 1.52. 4) with the treatment of 0 ppm (Control) the revenue yield Rp 57,812,400 with the R/C ratio of 1.52.

Abstract

Effectiveness Test of Several Concentrations of Kirinyuh Leaf Extract (Chromolaena odorata L.) Toward Development of Cabbage Crop Caterpillar (Crocidolomia pavonana F.). This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Pests and Diseases of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University from April 2018 to August 2018 to test the extract of kirinyuh leaves (Chromolaena odorata) on the development of biology of cabbage crop caterpillar (Crocidolomia pavonana). The completely randomized design (CRD) was used in this study, with four types of treatment of leaf extract concentration of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and control. Each treatment was repeated 10 times. Observations were completed every day of the larval stage until the larvae do not carry out any activity anymore (dead), or until they become imago. The results showed that (1) the leaf extract of C. odorata plant which was used as research material had the potential to suppress the biological development of C. pavonanadi larvae in the laboratory, (2) the application of leaf extract concentration of 10% and 20% had an influence on the development of larvae which had developed slow compared to concentrations of 30% and 40%, where larvae experience rapid development of only 9 observations and (3) the most effective test leaf extract treatment was the treatment of leaf extracts of C. odorata concentrations of 40% and 30% followed by leaf extract concentrations of 20% and 10%.

Abstract

Effect of Fertilizer (Organic + Inorganic + Dolomite) Combination to Improve of Growth Gaharu Plant (Gyrinops versteegii) and Characteristic of Soil Chemistry. This study aims to find combinations of fertilizer (organic + inorganic + dolomite) to promote the growth of gaharu plant and chemical properties of soil. This research was conducted in Tabanan Regency. The study was a randomized block design (RBD) with 7 treatments, each treatment was repeated three times to obtain 21 gaharu plants as a crop sample. The fertilizer formulations were tested as treatments as follows: A = without fertilizer (control), B = (50 g urea + 50 kg SP-36 + 50 kg KCl + 10 kg compost) + 50 g Dolomite) per tree, C = (100 g urea + 100 g SP-36 +100 g KCl + 7.5 kg compost + 75 g Dolomite) per tree, D = (150 g urea +150 g SP-36 + 150 g KCl + 5 kg compost + 75 g Dolomite) per tree, E = (200 g urea + 200 g SP-36 + 200 g KCl + 2.5 kg of compost + 100 g Dolomite) per tree, F = (200 g urea + 150 g SP -36 + 150 g KCl + 7.5 kg of compost + 100 g Dolomite) per tree, G = (200 g urea + 100 g SP-36 + 100 g KCl + 7.5 kg of compost + 75 g Dolomite) per tree. Parameters measured were plant height, girth of plants, and chemical properties of the soil. Analysis of data using analysis of variance and Duncan test (0.05). The results showed that fertilization treatments significantly affected plant height, but not significant to girth of plant. The best fertilizer combinations was the treatment of C, which were increase plant height (26,35 cm), pH (6,7), total N (0,28 %) and other chemical properties of soil.

Abstract

Identification and Characterization of Genetic Resources of Local Fruits inBadung Regency. Local fruit are all species of fruits developed and cultivated in Bali,while the local fruit products are all productsderived from fruit plants that are still fresh orthat have been processed. This study aimed to identify the species of genetic resources oflocal fruits in Badung Regency, profiling the genetic resources concerning the morphologicalcharacters, usebility, production, superior fruit, harvest fruit, and geographic distribution mapsof genetic resources. The research was done in all Districts in Badung regency, Province ofBali, namely Petang, Mengwi, Abiansemal, North Kuta, Kuta and South Kuta. Conductedfrom February to September 2015. The research consisted of collecting secondarydata,collecting primary data, surveying genetic resources and species distribution, determiningmorphological characters, determining the superior fruit, and compiling geographical maps.The research found 34 species and 51 sub-species of local fruits in six districts. Based on thevalue of Location Quotient Badung Regency has eight superior fruits commodied that areavocado, durian, guava, jackfruit, pineapple, banana, sapodilla, and watermelon.

Abstract

The diversity of fungi that contaminate rice and corn in the traditional market of Denpasar. Rice and corn are food commodities consumed daily by the public, but the rice and corn has been contaminated by a fungus, during the process of transportation and storage of experience. So it appears the author wishes to examine how big fungus has contaminated rice and corn in the traditional market town of Denpasar. Research conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Pathology, from April to June 2016. Research carried out consisted of: (1) isolating fungi that contaminate the rice and corn, and identify microscopy morphological, and (2) determine the diversity index and dominance index, as well prevaliensi fungal contamination. Identify the genera level, using reference books Samson et al., 1981; Pitt dan Hocking, 1997; Barnett dan Hunter, 1998; dan Indrawati et al., 1999. The results showed that the fungus can contaminate both the rice and corn in the market Kereneng, Agung, Badung and Ketapaian were Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus spp. The highest prevalence of fungi that contaminate both the rice and maize are the A. flavus, 73.61 % and 92.96 % respectively. Index of diversity in rice and corn amounting to 0.742 0,302. Index of dominance in rice and maize respectively 0.581 and 0.867. Aflatoxins were found to have not reached the threshold tolerated (20 ppb) is in the rice at 0 ppb, while the largest corn at 2,133 ppb in Kereneng market.

Abstract

The Activity Test of Celery Leaf Extract (Apium graveolens L.) Against Bean Weevil, Callosobruchus cinensis L. (Coleoptera:Bruchidae) The experiment was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Pest and Disease Management,Department of Agroecotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. The purpose of this experiment was to examine the activity of celery leaf extract against bean weevil, Callosobruchus chinensis L. The experiment was Randomized Complete Design, with five treatments of formulation concentration. The activities of celery leaf extract was indicated through i.e. contact poison test, repellent test, and the placement of eggs (oviposition) test. The results showed that the celery leaf extract has activity as a contact poison with concentration 75% formulations caused over 50% death of the total insect. The extract with 100% concentration acted as a repellent and anti oviposition as well.

Abstract

Erosion Prediction and Planning of Soil Water Conservation at Otan Watershed, Tabanan Regency The aims of this research was to predict the erosion and planning of soil and water conservation when the erosion is more than tolerable erosion. The USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) was used to predict erosion and planning of soil and water conservation. The result showed that the erosion level in this area was varied from very slight to very severe. The lowest erosion was on land unit 11 and 12 which were on the forest land. Slight erosion occurred on land units 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 13, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 26, 28, 31, 32, 33, 34, 36, 37, 40, 41, and 43 on the use of forest land, irrigated fields, and mix crop land. Moderate erosion can be found at cocoa plantations, coffee plantations, scrub and dry land (land unit 1, 8, 16, 30, 38, dan 45). Severe and very severe erosion occurs at mixed crop land, coffee plantations, mixed crop and dry land (land unit 35 and 6, 7, 9, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 24, 27, 29, 39, 42, and 44 ). The planning of soil and water conservation was focused on the very severe erosion by doing for some plant growing storied canopies, very high density, and constructed terrace for land unit of 6, 7, 14, 15 ,19, 21, 27, and, 29. While at land unit, 9, 17, 24, and 35 was purposed mixed estate crop with high density, it was combinated with mulch of 1 ton/ha and in land unit 39 were for traditional terrace with gogo rice and corn plant in rotation plantation.

Abstract

The Influence of Several Types of Fertilizers and Seeds Against Growth and Rice Yields (Oryza sativa L.). The research was carried out in a plastic house located in Banjar Kumuda Loka, Telaga Village, Busungbiu District, Buleleng Regency. The study was conducted from January 2017 to April 2017. The purpose of this study was to determine the type or combination of fertilizers and the age of the best seeds used that can provide maximum growth and yield of rice crops. This study was prepared using Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors. The first factor is the provision of fertilizer consisting of four level namely; fertilizing the farmer's way, organic fertilizer (solid + liquid), chemical fertilizer and organic fertilizer + chemical. The 2nd factor is the age difference of seeds consisting of three level namely; seed germinate, seven days after germinate and fourteen days after germinate. Each treatment was repeated three times. The results showed that the interaction between fertilization and seeding age had a significant effect on panicle length and the real impact on the harvest index. In single fertilizer were very significant to plant height, number of leaves, number of maximum and productive tillers, leaf area, number of panicles per hill, dry yield of harvest and dry oven per hill, Heavy wet and dry straw oven. While the treatment of seedlings had significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of maximum tillers, number of grains per panicle, panicle length and weight of grain per panicle. The highest yield (6.58 tons/ha) was obtained from a combination of organic and chemical fertilization with seeding age of 7 days after germinate.
