Abstract

AbstrakDewasa ini, perkembangan perpustakaan telah memasuki era makerspace. Di era ini,perpustakaan tidak lagi dilihat sebagai ruang senyap, melainkan ruang berekspresi yangterbuka bagi pengembangan kreatifitas dan budaya knowledge sharing. Ruang koleksi fisikperpustakaan semakin berkurang beralih menuju ruang terbuka untuk berkumpul danberekspresi. Lebih lanjut, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahu fenomena makerspacesebagai tren baru layanan di perpustakaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metodekualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka. Simpulan dari tulisan ini adalah: 1)makerspace merupakan cara dalam mewujudkan iklim pembelajaran yang kolaboratif daninovatif di perpustakaan; 2) Keberadaan makerspace kian menguatkan posisi perpustakaansebagai ruang publik (publik sphere) yang menjadi pusat berkumpulnya masyarakat(community center); 3) ada beberapa kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh pustakawan diera makerspace di perpustakaan, yaitu: a) kemampuan untuk belajar (to learn), b)kemampuan untuk berdaptasi pada perubahan situasi (to adapt to changing situations), c)kemampuan untuk berkolaborasi (to collaborate), d) kemampuan untuk mengadvokasipembelajaran (to advocate for the learning), e) kemampuan untuk melayani beragamorang. Selain itu, seorang pustakawan juga harus memiliki kompetensi khusus (soft skill)yang meliputi: a) kemampuan manajerial; b) pengembangan program; c) penggalangandana; d) literasi teknologi; dan e) fasilitasi pembelajaran berdasarkan teori dan perilakupengguna (masyarakat). AbstractNow, makerspace becomes a new era in the library development. Library is not seen as a quiet space,but the space of expression to the development of creativity and knowledge sharing culture. The librarycollection space physically decrease and move to open space for assembly and expression. This paperexplains about makerspace phenomenon as a new trend in library services. The kind of this paper is aliterature review and uses qualitative method. From this paper, the author is able to conclude that: 1)makerspace is the way in creating a collaborative learning environment and innovative in the library; 2)makerspace make a library as a public space (public sphere) and a center for the community; 3) thereare some competencies for librarians, namely: a) the ability to learn, b) the ability to adapt to thechanging situation, c) the ability to collaborate, d) the ability to advocate for the learning, e) the abilityto serve a variety of people. In addition, a librarian must have a special competence (soft skills) whichincludes: a) managerial ability; b) development program; c) fundraising; d) technological literacy; ande) the facilitation of learning based on theory and behavior of users (community).

Abstract

The development of the era also requires developments in various fields of life including libraries. Library likened as an information system that has three main elements of hardware, software and braindware. Hardware here is the Interior of the building, software is a service and braindware is a librarian. In this article the author seeks to explain ideas or ideas about the concept of an ideal library in terms of interior elements, services and librarians. This paper is expected to be one of the reference for library managers in the modern era. Perkembangan zaman menuntut pula perkembangan di berbagai bidang kehidupan termasuk perpustakaan. Perpustakaan diibaratkan sebagai sebuah sistem informasi yang memiliki tiga elemen pokok yaitu hardware, software dan braindware. Hardware disini adalah Interior gedung, software adalah layanan dan braindware adalah pustakawan.Dalam artikel  ini penulis berupaya memaparkan ide atau gagasan mengenai konsep perpustakaan yang ideal ditinjau dari elemen interior, layanan dan pustakawannya. Tulisan ini diharapkan mampu menjadi salah satu referensi bagi para pengelola perpustakaan di era modern.

Abstract

This is research descriptioan “Pola Kepemimpinan Kepala Perpustakaan Dalam Pengelolaan Unit Perpustakaan di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan”. Purpose method is method kualitative, with technical collection data: interview, observation, and study document. The step description data is arrange dara, unite data, overcast data, provide data, and conclusion. For teching data in experiment credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability.This is research: (1) Implement functions library management in to manage unit library the school is already to make year program in referensi books. Head master and head library  are involeved arrange year program library. Object planning is manage unit library for student, teacher, staff, and guest. (2) head library leadership is manage unit library very good. This is matter at look from style leadership, communication, and to make decision.(3) factor carry in to manage unit library human (librarian), BOS books. (4) factor obstacle in to manage unit library donation, medium library, the training minus, and minimum books collection. The suggestion for stakeholders cooperation for level to manage and medium library School Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan.

Abstract

Improved image of medium scale, we can see from some of the college library ranging from the construction of the library website up to reorganize the collection and the room. In the era of the 1980s and 1990s the concept of a library is considered taboo or even not allowed any food or drink in the library because it can bring in the rat, which can damage the collection. Currently there have also been merging a library room with a home theater, so it went into the library building can be treated to interesting movies, and so forth. Image enhancement college library as a professional institution in providing information services to the campus community will open up the minds of their (campus community) that the library can be used as an alternate means of independent learning. Some management approach is used as a strategy to improve the image library. Strategy three pillars of the main image presented above, provide an alternative thinking to develop the library into a modern information center and professional.

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan tentang berbagai model dalam mengevaluasi sistem informasi yang digunakan untuk mengelola dan memberi pelayanan pada perpustakaan. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk menyajikan berbagai pilihan yang dapat digunakan oleh perpustakaan untuk mengevaluasi system yang digunakannya sesuai dengan karakteristik perpustakaannya. Secara ringkas penulis memaparkan bahwa ada empat model evaluasi system perpustakaan, yaitu: teknik evaluasi PIECES (Performance, Information, Economy, control, Eficiency, dan Service), End User Computing (EUC) Satisfaction, Tasks Technology Fit (TTF) Analysis, dan Human Organizing Technology (HOT) Fit Model. Tulisan ini diakhiri dengan pemaparan tentang tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam melaksanakan evaluasi dan manfaatnya terhadap peningkatan pelayanan kepada pengguna perpustakaan.    AbstractThis article describes various models used to evaluate the information system applied in library management and services. The purpose of this article is to present alternatives that can be used by the libraries to evaluate their information system according to heir library characteristics. In brief the author explains that there are four model in information system evaluation: PIECES (Performance, Information, Economy, control, Eficiency, dan Service), End User Computing (EUC) Satisfaction, Tasks Technology Fit (TTF) Analysis, dan Human Organizing Technology (HOT) Fit Model. This article is concluded with the presentation of the purposes that need to be achieved in evaluation process and the advantage of it to increase the quality of library services to end users.

Abstract

This research was conducted in order to readability using good reading method with student academic achievement and readability using reading habit method with student academic achievement. The method used in this study is quantitative using experimental studies. The population of this study is all students of class VIII in SMPN 1 Cileunyi Kab. Bandung. The sample of this study was the experimental group reading the 500 word text (N = 41), the control group reading the 500 word text (N = 41), the experimental group reading the text of 1,000 words (N = 43), the control group reading the text of 1,000 words (N = 40), after reading the text given the test to answer the question multiplechoice. The results of this study indicate that the readability using the good reading method and reading habit methods has a significant relationship with academic achievement. There is a significant distinction between reading ability of the text using the method of read reading habit (1,000 words) by the method of reading good reading (1,000 words).

Abstract

Library & Knowledge Center, Binus University International menerapkan aturan peminjaman yang berbeda untuk jumlah koleksi dan masa peminjaman bagi setiap jenis pemustaka yang mereka layani. Keluhan muncul dari jenis pemustaka tertentu atas kebijakan tersebut walaupun dalam pembuatannya sudah disesuaikan dengan tingkat kebutuhan informasi pemustaka. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis landasan kebijakan yang diterapkan oleh Library & Knowledge Center, Binus University International agar diketahui apakah sudah sesuai dengan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka atau belum. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari wawancara dengan beberapa informan yang cocok dengan sejumlah kriteria tertentu. Hasil yang didapat adalah ada beberapa faktor yang melandasi perbedaan kebijakan peminjaman koleksi bagi tiap jenis pemustaka, salah satunya adalah kurikulum. Kebijakan tersebut sudah disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka, namun ada peningkatan yang harus dilakukan agar layanan di Library & Knowledge Center, Binus University International menjadi prima.

Abstract

The library college as academic library will continue to exist plays a role to play in the life of a college. The library college should be able to understand the concepts of Knowledge Management and make a SWOT analysis. The purpose of this paper is to describe the implementation of knowledge management and SWOT analysis in the University Library. The methods used for data by observation and internet resources, lectures and scientific journals. The results of this paper found that to achieve the implementation of knowledge management and SWOT analysis, therefore (1) The University Library is expected to: (a) Understand the concept of Knowledge Management (creation, recording and organization, deployment, access and use, and continued with the re-creation of knowledge, etc), (b) Partner for the user, (c) Serving an individual or group as a member of the network, (d) Provides Knowledge Management, (2) The leader of library capable elaborated with the potential and the skills possessed by the existing resources in the library, (3) Support of the policy makers, so that of Knowledge Management will impact to all activities of civitas academic in universities.

Abstract

This research is a library research by using historical and philological approach. The primary data source is the manuskripts of Syaikh Abdus-Samad Al-Palimbani the 18th century. The science seeking process conducted by the Syaikh Abdus-Samad Al-Palimbani is in line by the stages of the Khulthau theory (initiation, selection, exploration, formulation, collection, presentation). This research reveals that the success of Syaikh Abdus-Samad Al-Palimbani to produce briliant works because of his ability in science seeking process. The stage of initiation, is information about the awareness of Abdus-Samad to seek the knowledge. Selection stage, Al-Palembani was choosing and sorting out information sources. The exploratory stage, Al-Palmebani conducted the study of sources and explored the thought of various sources to find the science of Islam. The stage of formulation, Al-Palembani efforts in formulating search results, managing the acquired knowledge into a new science that may be different from his teacher. The collection stage, Al-Palembani efforts in gathering information and resources that are in line with the scholars' special tendencies. The stage of presentation, the presentation of intellectual work of Al-Palembani in the form of manuskript.Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah studi kepustakaan (library research) untuk mengungkan proses pencarian ilmu yang dilakukan ulama Palembang ini,dengan pendekatan bidang sejarah dan filologi untuk mengungkap informasi yang terdapat pada naskah-naskah yang ditulis oleh Syaikh Abdus-Samad al-Palimbani abad ke-18M. Penelitian ini menggunakan perspektif teory Information Search Processdari model Kuhlthau yakni tahap-tahap; Initiation, Selection, Exploration, Formulation, Collection, Presentation). Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa keberhasilan Syaikh Abdus-Samad al-Palimbani menghasilkan karya-karya cemerlang tidak terlepas dari proses pencarian ilmu. Pada tahapinisiasi didapatkan informasi adanya kesadaran ulama untuk mencari ilmu. Tahap seleksi, ulama memilih dan memilah sumber informasi. Tahapeksplorasi, ulama melakukan  telaah sumber dan dan menjelajahan pemikiran dari berbagai sumber untuk  menemukan ilmu keislaman. Tahap Formulasi, mengungkap upaya ulama dalam merumuskan hasil pencarian, mengelola ilmu yang didapat  menjadi ilmu baru yang mungkin berbeda dengan gurunya. Tahap koleksi, upaya ulama dalam mengumpulkan informasi dan sumber daya yang sesuai dengan kecenderungan khusus ulama. Terakhir Tahappresentasi, pada tahap ini adanya presentasi karya intelektual al-Jawi al-Palembani berupa hasil pemikiran dan pengetahuan yang dikemas menjadi karya tulis berbentuk naskah/manuskrip

Abstract

Many people complain broadcasting program and also reprimanded KPI prove if the feasibility content broadcast in Indonesia is still relatively low.  To filter those impressions, it is necessary to carry out media literacy education, media activists, teachers, community figures, students and etc. Understand the rules and ethics relating to television. This understanding is important for educational media literacy activists to be able to criticize various impressions that violate rules and media ethics in Indonesian. The purpose of this study is to know the violations committed against the impressions pesbukers standard broadcast program, so they will know how to apply the SPS in the event. The analysis was conducted using content analysis method to pesbukers impressions that aired on March 22, 2018. The results of the study found that pesbukers impressions made several violations. In the episode found several violations such as norms of decency, decency, violent scenes, harsh expressions, and insults. Broadcast Program Standards (SPS) that should be the guidelines in the implementation of the broadcasting world is not carried out optimally.Banyaknya program penyiaran yang dikeluhkan masyarakat dan juga mendapat teguran KPI membuktikan jika kelayakan isi siaran di Indonesia sebenarnya masih relatif rendah. Untuk memfilter tayangan-tayangan tersebut perlu melaksanakan Pendidikan melek media maka para pegiat media baik guru, tokoh-tokoh masyarakat, mahasiswa dan sebagainya. Memahami tentang peraturan dan etika yang berkaitan dengan televisi. Pemahaman ini penting bagi para pegiat pendidikan melek media agar mampu melakukan kritik terhadap berbagai tayangan yang melanggar aturan dan etika media yang ada di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelanggaran-pelanggaran yang dilakukan tayangan pesbukers terhadap standar program siaran, sehingga akan diketahui bagaimana penerapan SPS dalam acara tersebut. Analisis dilakukan dengan metode analisis isi terhadap tayangan Pesbukers yang tayang pada 22 Maret 2018. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa tayangan Pesbukers melakukan beberapa pelanggaran. Pada episode tersebut ditemukan beberapa pelanggaran seperti norma kesopanan, kesusilaan, adegan kekerasan, ungkapan kasar, dan makian. Standar Program Siaran (SPS) yang seharusnya menjadi pedoman dalam penyelenggaraan dunia penyiaran tidak dilaksanakan secara maksimal
