Abstract

This article will be focused on the discussion about waging system to daily labour women at building contractor company in Denpasar. As daily labour women, they work eight hours a day, sometimes added by overtime and no weekend holiday. This research found that from the waging system, the contractor do not conduct discrimination in remunerating to woman labour. Thereby hence the rule of regulation number 25, 1997 section 113 articles 2 have been applied effectively. It seems that the entrepreneur have known and comprehend about regulation going into effect. As entrepreneurs they prefer to employ women in certain works like at traditional ritual field because their earning will increase. It can be concluded that there is no discrimination to women labour conducting by the contractor in waging system in Denpasar.

Abstract

Nowadays, the topics about gender still dominate the discussion on every meeting, seminar, workshop and other discussion, although the struggling to balance and to equivalence it done since 1978. It indicates that there are still unbalanced of gender especially for the women in our society. Those unbalanced can be seen in such kind of area like education, law, economic, health and employment. Besides, the hardness to women and children increase as seen at the increasing of women-children trading, sexual abusing or raping to women and children. To protect the women and children from the abuse, the government found an institution named The Centre of Woman Efficiency Integrated Service.

Abstract

he Role of Japanese Women in Transferring a Language to their children in the Intermarriage between Balinese and Japanese Women Couples? is one of social aspects in bilingualism. The role of Japanese women in this study is an implication of the parents strategies applied in raising the children, language choice in KCBJ D and KCBJ U in terms of language use, and factors that contribute their language choice. Through an intensive research, parents in KCBJ family choose strategies (1), (2), (7), and (8). As a result, there are Balinese (BB) and Japanese (BJp) language transference to their children, their children are multilingual for they can speak Balinese, Japanese, and Indonesian language so there is a language maintenance in the language use of the children, especially Balinese and Japanese. Domain factors and its social contexts, demography and dominant language of the community, ethnicity, speaker?s social background, gender, language function, and two others general factors, namely personal and attitudinal factors such as the attitudes of children?s immediate family, extended family, friends, teachers, and the society in general, give a great influence on their language choice. From its situational context point of view, the use of BB, BI, and BJp not only expressed social process among Balinese and Japanese speaker took part in that social interaction, but also expressed the speaker?s attitude and judgments, and the role of language functions in the situation.
