Abstract

Visual Imagery Strategy merupakan sebuah strategi membaca dimana pembaca memahami sebuah teks dengan cara menganalisa kode verbal (bahasa visual/ tulisan) dan kode nonverbal (objek visual) pada teks tersebut. Artikel ini didasarkan pada sebuah penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas dari Visual Imagery Strategy dalam pembelajaran teks naratif. Dengan menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimental, penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas X MAN 1 Kota Magelang pada tahun akademik 2015/2016. Dalam kasus ini, kelompok eksperimental adalah X IS 1 dan kelompok kontrol adalah X IA 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rerata dari kelompok eksperimental meningkat dari 58.65 dan 72.60 setelah diberikan beberapa kali perlakuan menggunakan strategi tersebut. Perhitungan t-test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Hal ini dibuktikan oleh tnilai (2.395) yang lebih tingi dari ttabel (1.997). Selain itu, kuesioner dibagikan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan strategi terhadap siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 62,50% siswa setuju bahwa pelaksanaan strategi membantu pemahaman mereka dan 25% dari mereka bahkan sangat setuju terhadap pernyataan tersebut. Dengan demikian, Visual Imagery Strategy terbukti merupakan sebuah strategi yang efektif dalam pembelajaran teks naratif.Visual Imagery Strategy is a reading strategy in which readers comprehend a text by analyzing the verbal codes (visual language/writing) and nonverbal codes (visual objects) within the text. This paper is based on a research aims to describe the effectiveness of visual imagery strategy in teaching reading narrative text. By using a quasi-experimental design, the research involves the tenth grade students of MAN 1 Kota Magelang in the academic year of 2015/2016. In this case, the experimental group is X IS 1 and the control group is X IA 3. The result shows that the mean score of the experimental group increases from 58.65 to 72.60 after several treatments applying the strategy. The t-test computation reveals that there is a significant difference between the two groups. It is proven by the tvalue (2.395) which is higher than the ttable (1.997). In addition, a questionnaire is administered to know the effect of implementing the strategy to the students. The analysis shows that 62.50% of the students agree that the implementation of the strategy assists their comprehension and 25% of them even strongly agree towards the statement. Therefore, Visual Imagery Strategy is proven an effective strategy in teaching reading narrative text

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan keterampilan menulis puisi bagi siswa kelas VIIIA SMPN 31 Semarang semester 1 tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMPN 31 Semarang semester 1 tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 mulai bulan Oktober s.d. November 2019. Subyek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII A sejumlah 33 orang. Sumber data penelitian ini ada 2 yaitu sumber data primer dan sumber data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah melalui teknik pengamatan; teknik tes; dan teknik dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus dengan masing-masing 3 kali pertemuan, meliputi: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada peningkatan keterampilan menulis puisi menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual dengan media gambar pada siswa kelas VIII A SMPN 31 Semarang tahun pelajaran 2019/2020, di mana keterampilan menulis yang mencapai KKM 70 pada siklus I ada 23 siswa atau 69,7% dan di siklus II sudah mencapai 31 siswa atau 93,9%. Demikian juga dengan peningkatan keaktifan siswa juga mengalami kenaikan per siklus pada ketuntasan ada 24 siswa atau 72,8% pada siklus I meningkat lagi pada siklus II yaitu ada 31 siswa atau 94,0%, dan adanya peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa pada kategori aktif dan sangat aktif yang mencapai 80%.The purpose of this research is to develop the  students’activities and skill of a poetry writing for the students of the eight grade of SMP N 31 Semarang on the first semester 2019/2020. The research was held in SMP N 31 Semarang on the first semester 2019/2020 from October until November 2019. The subjects of this research was the thirty  three students of the eight grade. There are two source of data.  They are the primary data sources and the secondary  data sources. The technique of the data collection are through the observation technique and the documentary technique. Data analysis was done qualitative as well as quantitative. The research was conducted in two cycles with three times learning meeting each. The cycles covers the planning, the implementation, the observation, and the reflection.The result of this research shows the existence of the development of the poetry writing skill with a contextual approach  using the image  media or picture media for the students of the eight grade of SMP N 31 Semarang 2019/2020. The achievement of this poetry writing skill for the minimum completeness citeria  (KKM) 70 reaches 23 students or 69,7%  on the first  cycle and has already reached 31 students or 93,9% on the second cycle. It is also balanced with the development of students’ activities  that reaches in each cycle. There are 24 students or 72,8% on the first cycle and increase to 31 students or 94% on the second cycle. Even the students ’ motivation also increases on  80 % the active and very active students’ category.

Abstract

The outline of the research issue in this class activity research is how the use of blended learning model to increase motivation and results of science material pressure on science’ study of student on class VIII E 2 Bojongsari Junior High School in scool year 2015/2016. The steps of research include planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection research using questionnaires, observation, and interviews. Data validation using rational data analysis based on the results of the response and resulths of Deuteronomy students. This research uses descriptive analytic as data. Based on the results, the data of the student`s motivation increase 15.43% whereas the results of the study show improvement 22.92%. The conclution of the study explaine that the application of blended learning models can enhance understanding, motivation of students and the learning outcomes student on class VIII E 2 Bojongsari Junior High School.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar melalui optimalisasi metode diskusiMGMP Sekolah. Penelitian juga bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas pelaksanaan diskusi (MGMP) sekolah pada guru-guru kelas X dalam meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar di SMAN 1 Sampara dan SMAN 1 Bondoala. Penelitian ini dirancang dalam bentuk Penelitian Tindakan Sekolah yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dimana setiap siklusnya dilaksanakan dalam dua dan tiga kali  pertemuan. Melihat nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh  dari hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari siklus I ke siklus II, terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh dari masing-masing komponen yang di observasi maupun yang dinilai, yang berarti pembinaan dan bimbingan melalui pendekatan diskusi kelompok kerja guru dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar. Berdasarkan keberhasilan tersebut disarankan kepada guru-guru di SMAN 1 Sampara dan SMAN 1 Bondoala agar lebih mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar dengan memperbanyak variasi metode pembelajaran dalam penyusunan skenario pembelajaran maupun dalam  pelaksanaan pembelajaran.                                The purpose of this study was to improve the ability of teachers to utilize the school environment as a learning resource through optimizing the School MGMP discussion method. The study also aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of school discussion (MGMP) for class X teachers in increasing the ability of teachers to utilize the school environment as a learning resource at SMAN 1 Sampara and SMAN 1 Bondoala. This research was designed in the form of School Action Research which was carried out in two cycles, where each cycle was carried out in two and three meetings. Looking at the average value obtained from the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that from cycle I to cycle II, there was an increase in the average value obtained from each of the components observed and assessed, which means coaching and guidance through a work group discussion approach. teachers can increase the ability of teachers to utilize the school environment as a learning resource. Based on this success, it is recommended that teachers at SMAN 1 Sampara and SMAN 1 Bondoala optimize the use of the school environment as a learning resource by increasing the variety of learning methods in the preparation of learning scenarios and in implementing learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan aktifitas dan hasil belajar pada siswa kelas VIII-D SMP 1 Jekulo Kudus pada mata pelajaran matematika materi bangun ruang sisi datar melalui model pembelajaran problem based learning. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-D pada semester 2 tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 34 siswa terdiri dari 14 siswa putra dan 20 siswa putri, pembelajaran menggunakan model problem based learning (PBL). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Cara pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes, pengamatan aktifitas belajar siswa dan observasi/performansi guru saat pembelajaran berlangsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I persentase keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sebesar 57,19% kategori cukup, rata rata hasil belajar pengetahuan siswa 73,53 dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 79,41%, rata-rata hasil belajar keterampilan siswa 73,38 dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 76,47%, dan nilai performansi guru saat pembelajaran 86,84% kategori baik. Pada siklus II persentase keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sebesar 79,06% kategori baik, rata rata hasil belajar pengetahuan siswa 85,15 dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 88,24%, rata-rata hasil belajar keterampilan siswa 81,76 dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 85,29%, dan nilai performansi guru saat pembelajaran 91,23% kategori sangat baik. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktifitas dan hasil belajar dari siklus I ke siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan aktifitas dan hasil belajar siswa.This study aims to improve the activities and learning outcomes of students in class VIII-D Jekulo Kudus 1 Junior High School on mathematics subjects constructing flat side space through a problem based learning learning model. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII-D in the second semester of the 2017/2018 school year, which amounted to 34 students consisting of 14 male students and 20 female students, learning using the problem based learning (PBL) model. This research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The method of data collection is done through tests, observations of student learning activities and observation / teacher performance when learning takes place. The results showed that in the first cycle the percentage of student activity in the learning process was 57.19% enough, the average learning outcomes of students' knowledge was 73.53 with classical mastery learning 79.41%, the average student learning outcomes were 73.38 with classical learning completeness is 76.47%, and the teacher's performance score during learning is 86.84% good category. In the second cycle the percentage of student activity in the learning process amounted to 79.06% good category, the average learning outcomes of student knowledge 85.15 with classical learning completeness 88.24%, the average student learning outcomes 81.76 with classical learning completeness 85 , 29%, and the value of teacher performance during learning 91.23% in the excellent category. These results indicate an increase in activities and learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the problem based learning (PBL) learning model can improve student learning activities and outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di masa pandemi covid-19 dengan penerapan PjBL (Project based Learning) melalui pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus dimana terdapat empat kali pertemuan pada tiap siklusnya. Setiap siklus terdiri tahapa perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA 1 MA Darul Hikmah dengan jumlah 40 siswa. Sumber data diperoleh dari guru dan siswa melalui observasi, tes evaluasi, dan kajian dokumen. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM (tuntas) dari pra tindakan sampai siklus II. Ketuntasan belajar pra tindakan sebesar 40%, siklus I 70%, dan siklus II 87,5%. Selaian itu juga didukung dengan peningkatan hasil belajar psikomotorik dan nilai sikap siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model PjBL ini dapat dikatakan berhasil dan efektif diterapkan pada pembelajaran daring di masa pandemic covid-19 karena dapat mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan yaitu lebih dari 75% nilai siswa mencapai KKM.This study aims to improve student learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic by implementing PjBL (Project based Learning) through distance learning. This research is a type of classroom action research (PTK) with a model developed by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. This study consisted of two cycles where there were four meetings in each cycle. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were students of class X IPA 1 MA Darul Hikmah with a total of 40 students. Sources of data were obtained from teachers and students through observation, evaluation tests, and document review. Data analysis techniques used were qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes as indicated by the increase in the number of students who reached the KKM (complete) from pre-action to cycle II. Post-action learning completeness by 40%, 70% first cycle, and 87.5% second cycle. In addition, it is also supported by an increase in psychomotor learning outcomes and student attitude values. Classroom action research with the PjBL model can be said to be successful and effective in applying distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic because it can achieve predetermined success indicators, namely more than 75% of student scores reaching KKM.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis (mathematical communication) dalam pembelajaran matematika sangat perlu untuk dikembangkan. Hal ini karena melalui komunikasi matematis siswa dapat mengorganisasikan berpikir matematisnya baik secara lisan maupun tulisan. Selain itu, tingkat kedisiplinan siswa diperlukan untuk menunjang tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan kedisiplinan siswa melalui model PBL.Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah 33 siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 SMAN 5 Semarang Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Instrumen pengambilan data meliputi lembar evaluasi kemampuan komunikasi matematis, lembar observasi, angket, dan wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah diskriptif komparatif. Materi yang digunakan adalah transformasi geometri. Indikator penelitian yaitu kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan kedisiplinan siswa pada siklus I meningkat dari pra siklus dan meningkat dari siklus satu ke siklus berikutnya.Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata kemampuan awal siswa adalah 62,07. Nilai rata-rata evaluasi siklus 1 adalah 81,33. Sedangkan rata-rata kedisiplinan siswa meningkat menjadi 76,47 pada siklus 1. Pada siklus II diperoleh nilai rata-rata evaluasi 87,33 dan rata-rata kedisipinan siswa 87,06. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada siklus I dan II, dapat disimpulkan bahwa PBL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan kedisiplinan siswa.

Abstract

Karya tulis ini disusun untuk memperjelas gambaran mengenai: (1) peningkatan keterampilan TI guru PAUD melalui Pak MEON, (2) hasil dan dampak dari pelaksanaan peningkatan keterampilan IT Guru PAUD melalui Pak MEON. Karya tulis ini sebagai wujud laporan dari pengalaman terbaik yang telah dilaksanakan di TK Kemala Bhayangkari 83 Purworejo dalam bentuk best practice. Pengalaman selama 3 tahun dalam upaya meningkatkan keterampilan TIK Guru PAUD melalui Pak MEON dapat disimpulkan: (1) Pak MEON dapat meningkatkan keterampilan TIK Guru PAUD di TK Kemala Bhayangkari 83 Purworejo secara signifikan. (2) Hasil dari pelaksanaan peningkatan keterampilan TIK guru PAUD melalui Pak MEON di TK Kemala Bhayangkari 83 adalah (1) sarana prasarana/fasilitas sekolah yang lengkap, (2) fasilitas TIK Guru secara pribadi lengkap, (3) komunikasi lebih efektif efisien, (4) administrasi pembelajaran yang lengkap dan sesuai, (5) semua guru paham dapodik, (6) lembaga memiliki banyak operator, (7) juara 1 lembaga berprestasi, (8) nilai akreditasi A. Adapun dampak dari strategi pemecahan masalah peningkatan keterampilan TIK Guru PAUD melalui Pak MEON ini adalah : (1) guru jadi semakin percaya diri karena kompetensi khususnya keterampilan TIK meningkat, (2) beban kerja kepala sekolah lebih ringan karena semua guru dapat diberdayakan secara optimal, (3) masyarakat semakin percaya bahwa TK Kemala Bhayangkari 83 bermutu. Berdasarkan pengalaman ini maka direkomendasikan: (1) guru PAUD dihimbau selalu update ilmu khususnya TIK, agar dapat memenuhi tuntutan zaman, (2) kepala sekolah wajib mengintervensi, memfasilitasi dan memotivasi guru agar semua guru terampil TIK, (3) dinas pendidikan perlu memprogramkan kegiatan sosialisasi, penyuluhan dan pembinaan yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan mutu guru.This paper was structured to clarify the description of: (1) improvement of IT skills of PAUD teachers through Pak MEON, (2) the results and impacts of implementing the improvement of PAUD Teacher IT skills through Pak MEON. This paper is a form of report of the best experience that has been carried out at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 83 Purworejo in the form of best practice. 3 years experience in efforts to improve the skills of ECD PAUD Teachers through Pak MEON can be concluded: (1) Pak MEON can improve the ICT skills of PAUD Teachers in TK Kemala Bhayangkari 83 Purworejo significantly. (2) The results of implementing the improvement of ICT skills for PAUD teachers through Pak MEON in Kemala Bhayangkari 83 Kindergarten are (1) complete school infrastructure / facilities, (2) Teacher ICT facilities are personally complete, (3) communication is more effective efficient, ( 4) complete and appropriate learning administration, (5) all teachers understand dapodik, (6) institutions have many operators, (7) first place achievers, (8) accreditation value A. As for the impact of the strategy of solving the problem of increasing teacher ICT skills PAUD through Pak MEON are: (1) teachers become more confident because their competencies, especially ICT skills, increase, (2) the workload of school principals is lighter because all teachers can be optimally empowered, (3) people increasingly believe that TK Kemala Bhayangkari 83 quality. Based on this experience it is recommended: (1) PAUD teachers are encouraged to always update knowledge, especially ICT, in order to meet the demands of the times, (2) school principals are required to intervene, facilitate and motivate teachers so that all ICT skilled teachers, (3) the education office needs to program activities socialization, counseling and coaching related to the development of teacher quality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the changes in the mindsets of students and improving the competence to write a descriptive passage Team Pair Solo models. E class VII SMP Negeri 3 Ambarawa totally was 33 people consisting of 18 male and 15 female students. The data collection is done by using the method of observation and performance. This is evident from the observation of changes in attitude / behavior of learners at 0% on the initial conditions, being 6.07% in the first cycle and increased again to 36.4% in the second cycle. Increasing of changing in attitudes / behaviors learners' learning affects the learning outcome. The average grade of 64.7% with the thoroughness 7 learners in the initial conditions increased to 72.2% with the thoroughness of a total of 14 students in the first cycle and increased again to 78.2% by the thoroughness of as many as 28 students in the second cycle. Team Pair Solo learning model can be used as an alternative in the effort to improve the learning active role and learning outcomes.

Abstract

School quality is directly related to the quality of education in an education unit. In achieving good school quality, it is necessary to pay attention to teacher quality, student quality, school culture and discipline, and educational facilities and funding. This research focuses on the study of the achievements of indicators on education financing management and learning facilities for school quality. The aim is to find out the description and analyze the influence of education funding management and learning facilities on school quality. This study uses descriptive analysis method with a quantitative approach. Sampling is through indicators of standard funding in elementary school. The analysis technique uses descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the management of education funding at the pamucatan level averages 80% - 90% of the 16 standard financing indicators. Based on these findings, it is recommended that schools pay attention to the stages of education financing management, especially when planning and realization of financing. Whereas the principle of utilizing facilities needs to be considered the efficiency of the use of learning facilities in order to achieve learning objectives and improve the quality of schools.
