Abstract

Implementation using a written test and answering in writing requires a lot of time in the correction process, so that in submitting the test results you have to wait quite a long time, the risk of fraud is high. So the product is developed as an alternative media for this problem besides the existing internet media. This study developed a website-based physics test instrument product and obtained information about its feasibility. Products are used in physics learning in high schools as a system that facilitates the process of implementing tests and their assessments. This research design is 4-D development. The results of the validators' assessment of 2 material experts and 2 media experts with CVR, namely 1 and CVI, namely 0.1, were categorized as very good and the feasibility percentage was 89%. as well as a limited trial of 40 respondents, namely 2 teachers and 38 students in one of the public Madrasah Aliyah at Jepara city stated that they agreed with the calculation of the CVR value of 1 and the CVI value of 0.1 which was categorized as very good. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the product being developed is categorized as feasible.

The research method used is descriptive, with a correlative form of research. The population is 117 student from all grade IX students of SMP Negeri 7 Sungai Raya, the sample used in this study was 89 students. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. Values used for independent and bound variables use a questionnaire. The Values analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and correlations with the coefficient of determination at a significant level of 5%. The result of research found that (1) student motivation in class IX SMP Negeri 7 Sungai Raya in the good category; (2) the independence of student learning was in a good category;  and (3) there was a positive and significant relationship between student motivation on student learning independence. So it can be concluded that the greater the student's learning motivation, the greater their learning independence.

Abstract

This study aims to get a profile of students' problem-solving skills and the implementation of structured inquiry models in senior high schools. This type of research used in this study is preliminary research, with data collection techniques in the form of student interview questionnaires, teacher interviews, and written tests. Then the data that has been obtained will be analyzed descriptively qualitatively. This research was conducted on 24 students of class XII-SCIENCE in one of the high schools in the district of Gresik. Based on the results of the study found findings in the form of 1) The ability of students to solve problems in the low category with a range of grades from 0 to 1.00 as many as 11 students and the medium category with a range of grades from 1.01-2.00 as many as 13 students, 2) Criteria for the lowest problem-solving skills at point A- Assen the problem (Identifying the principles of the problem needed to solve the problem) with an average value of 0.375, 3) The application of structured inquiry models is expected to be able to improve problems solving skills possessed by students. It can be concluded if the problems solving skills possessed by students are low, so it is necessary to increase the problems solving skills of students by using new learning methods that have never been taught to students.

Abstract

This research was conducted to develop and know the quality and feasibility of learning video media for the earthquake theme using four-step teaching materials development (4S-TMD). This research is a type of research and development that refers to Borg and Gall's development design. This study's subjects were students of class XI IPA Al-Qomar (N = 18) MAN Insan Cendekia Palu. Data collection was done by using a questionnaire method. The validation data analysis results of material experts and media experts show an average score of 3, or with a percentage of 75% with a good category, the teacher's assessment shows an average score of 3.84 in a good category. Students' responses show an average score of 3.28, or with a percentage score of 82% with the category agree completely. The results of this study indicate that the earthquake theme learning video media developed using four-step teaching materials development (4S-TMD) is feasible and can be used as a learning medium. This research implies that the teaching media that are processed using appropriate methods make learning more interesting. The resulting instructional videos can also be used as learning media in class, in groups, or independently.

Abstract

The C3PDR Learning Model was designed to increase student creativity in science. This study aimed to determine the effect of C3PDR learning model on improving conceptual understanding and creative thinking skills of senior high school students on sound waves topic. This study used a Quasi-Experimental Method and One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in this study was 32 students of the eleventh-grade student in the 2017/2018 academic year from one of senior high school in Samarinda, selected by purposive sampling. Data collection used Test Techniques. The instrument used Essay Questions. Essay questions indicators to determine the understanding of physics concepts were interpreting, clarifying, comparing, summarizing, and inferring. Essay questions indicators to determine students' creative thinking skills were Asking Questions, Guessing the Causes, Guessing the Cause of an Occurrence or Even, Improving product, and Supposing. Analysis of the data used is the N-Gain analysis and paired t-test. The results showed the C3PDR Learning Model influenced the increase of conceptual understanding and the creative thinking skills of senior high school students on sound waves topic. This is indicated by 1) N-Gain of conceptual understanding was 0,76 in the high category, 2) N-Gain of creative thinking skills was 0.51 in the moderate category, 3) A significant difference between students' conceptual understanding and 4) the students' creative thinking skills before and after the C3PDR Learning Model was applied, marked with p mode <0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze using outdoor learning methods on learning outcomes and interest in learning physics. This study uses a quasi-experimental method. This study involved 60 students from two classes, namely class XA and XB. The instruments used in this study were the pretest-posttest questions and the interest in learning questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used independent sample t-test, N-gain, and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA). The analysis results show that the treatment has a significant effect on learning outcomes and can improve learning outcomes compared to conventional learning. The outdoor learning method makes students more interested in learning physics. The conclusion that can be drawn is the outdoor learning method has a significant effect on learning outcomes and interest in learning physics in high school.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the religious character and cognitive competence of physics prospective teachers when they used textbook containing Quranic verses. The Quranic verses were relevant to heat and temperature concept then also relevant to local wisdom of South Kalimantan. The research used to research and development, with the development model of ADDIE. The subjects of this research were 18 students of the 2019/2020 academic year who learned heat and temperature topic in Fundamental of Physics 1 course. The data were obtained through a self-evaluation inventory sheet, observation sheet, and test. The data were analysed quantitatively and qualitatively. The result of the research showed that the religious characters of physics prospective teachers from A1 to A5 domain have average score 4.69 which are in very good category and their cognitive competence of C2 to C6 domain improve quite effectively with average normalised gain 0.68. The conclusion of this research is the textbook can be used to train physics prospective teachers to do religious behaviour.

Abstract

This study aimed to optimize the ICT skills and the learning achievement of the students on the subject of the regular circular motion through the development of the interactive e-module that is based on the Hybrid Guided Inquiry with good criteria. As a result, it could be utilized to help the learning process in class. The learning and development model used was the ADDIE model that stood for Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation to generate the interactive e-module that could be utilized in the learning process based on the expert’s assessment. The final result of the e-module development revealed that it was included in a good category with the content eligibility score was 3.58, and the language eligibility score was 3.4. Meanwhile, the percentage of the ideals score of the interactive module was 87.1%. The result of the small-scale assessment on the 26 of students was 3.32 within the “good” category.  The N-gain score that was utilized as the proving suggestions of the ICT skill optimization was 0.85 that was included into ”high” category, and 0.61 for the achievement optimization of the students that were categorized into “medium” category after being given the treatment. In this way, the interactive e-module that is based on Hybrid Guided Inquiry on the subject of the regular circular motion was feasible to be utilized as the learning media in class. It was also effective to ease the learning process in optimizing the ICT skills and the learning achievements of the students.
