Abstract

The nature school is one of the developing natural environment-based education systems in Indonesia that uses the school's natural environment as a medium of learning, one of which is Banjarbaru City. However, the limited land area results in limited spaces and it also causes the school to limit the number of incoming students and the existing indoor and outdoor spaces are not fully connected to its base as a nature school. Based on this, Omah Kepompong Nature School emphasizes 2 things, namely indoor & outdoor spaces that are connected to nature and space for child learning. The concept of Connecting Nature & Child’s Learning Space formulated based on the biophilic architecture approach is applied through physical and non-physical forms that prioritize attachment to nature, sustainability and comfort so as to create an environment that can provide physical & mental well-being of its users.

Abstract

Based on data from the online information system for the protection of women and children (SIMFONI-PPA) in 2023, the number of cases of violence against women in Indonesia reached 26,161 victims and in the province of South Kalimantan there were 531 cases with the number of cases in Banjarbaru City being 61 cases. Violence against women and children is widely heard in society today and is a very common occurrence in a home. This makes a home no longer a safe place for women and children and ultimately seeks a safe place for them to live temporarily. However, the DPPPA of South Kalimantan Province, which is a place for complaints, does not yet have a permanent shelter for victims who make complaints. So that a shelter is needed for women in the province of South Kalimantan. Therefore, there needs to be a Women's Shelter in Banjarbaru by prioritizing the physical and psychological security aspects of users. This is realized by the Spatial Psychology method with the Triple Shield concept which is combined with Safe, Secure, & Serenity to create a Safe House for women physically and psychologically.

Abstract

Films consist of audio and visual sequences that have the ability to influence the audience's emotions by conveying messages through visual images. Therefore, a film studio is needed that provides facilities for producing a film. In line with technological advances, this studio also has mini studio facilities which function as additional indoor shooting locations using digital effects. In accommodating these activities, the Film Studio in Banjarbaru will be designed by applying the functional architectural method with the Functional Space concept, namely that the design must pay attention to the main purpose of each room, so that every element in the studio building is well arranged for the needs of film production activities. The character of space in a film studio is divided into two concepts based on its main function, namely production and post-production space. The production room functions as a place for the production team to carry out filming activities, so a space design that is mutually supportive and sustainable is needed. Meanwhile, the character of the post-production room is designed to provide focus on the editing process so that a quality final film product is obtained.

Abstract

Science Technopark is one of the strategies employed by the Indonesian government to face the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0 and 5.0. Science Technoparks are commonly found in the regions of Java and Sumatra. Therefore, a Science Technopark in Kalimantan, particularly South Kalimantan, is highly needed for equitable development. Moreover, this region has a prominent commodity that must be preserved—wetlands. However, the potential of these wetlands has not been fully optimized, and their existence is starting to be threatened. The Science Technopark is proposed as a solution for the downstreaming of wetland research while also developing the potential of the wetlands and anticipating ecosystem damage. Therefore, the design of the Science Technopark: Center for Wetland Research Downstreaming aims to optimize the potential and preserve the existence of the wetlands. This design adopts the positive analogy method to merge nature and technology into one harmony, with the concept of "eco-tech architecture" as a solution to its architectural challenges. Through this concept, an architecture is realized that harmonizes technology with the wetland ecosystem, ensuring the sustainability of its existence and environmental potential.

Abstract

As they grow, children have very broad imaginations. By frequently inviting children to read, watch educational videos or films that are appropriate for their age, they can increase their imagination. To respond to this, we need an informal educational forum that is both recreational and educational, namely a children's library as a communal space. This library is made as attractive as possible to encourage children to be happy and want to always come to the library and do reading activities while hanging out and how to make a children's library a place for education as well as recreation. From this it can be concluded that the method used uses a hybrid architectural approach as a design consideration in accommodating library functions which have two different functions. This is realized in the concept of collaborative space or spaces that are combined to create a flexible and mutually beneficial space and create an atmosphere for reading while gathering.

Abstract

The Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 19 of 2005 mandates that every educational institution must provide infrastructure, including a canteen. Although each faculty at Lambung Mangkurat University Banjarbaru already has a canteen, its function does not align with the standards set by the Ministry of National Education, which defines a canteen as a place for discussion and waiting during free periods. This is supported by observations, interviews, and questionnaires conducted with canteen stakeholders at Lambung Mangkurat University Banjarbaru. Based on these findings, the problem raised is: "How can the design of the Shared Canteen at Lambung Mangkurat University serve as infrastructure that accommodates and facilitates students in.

Abstract

The growth and development of a child is one of the most important processes for every parent. However, many children experience challenges in their growth and development, which require evaluation at a child development clinic. In Kandangan, there is currently no child development clinic that provides optimal services, and many children have negative perceptions of healthcare environments. Healthcare facilities should be places where children experience positive outcomes, such as healing, rather than negative emotions like fear. Therefore, there is a need for a clinic designed with an approach that addresses how negative perceptions of healthcare environments are formed and a concept that can transform these negative perceptions. Using the Environmental Perception Approach and Playful design concept, the aim is to create a child development clinic that changes children's perceptions into a more enjoyable and welcoming environment.
