Abstract

This research examines the design of An-Nur Kindergarten with a green architecture approach in the PT. Hasnur Citra Terpadu area, Pandahan, Central Tapin, Tapin Regency. The study is driven by the lack of adequate educational facilities in palm oil and coal industrial areas, where distance to schools poses a major obstacle to early childhood education. The design methodology integrates green architecture principles with specific early childhood learning requirements. The results demonstrate that implementing green architecture concepts in An-Nur Kindergarten's design not only creates an optimal learning environment but also supports ecological sustainability through renewable energy systems and eco-friendly materials. This design successfully presents an architectural solution that combines educational needs, environmental awareness, and local socio-cultural integration.

Abstract

Attention to the development of river transport terminals is very important because the river transport terminal facilities in Puruk Cahu City are not sufficient to accommodate the needs of community activities. As an area where many community activities are carried out on the banks of the Barito River, the existence of river transport terminal facilities is very crucial to support local transport connectivity. However, the development of river transportation infrastructure in this area is still limited and the need for adequate river transportation terminal facilities is very important. Apart from that, Dayak culture may face challenges in maintaining its authenticity. The aim of this design is to design a water transportation site that not only functions as a transit point, but also as an attractive and enjoyable tourist destination for visitors. Designing by considering cultural characteristics is also an effort to maintain and respect local cultural heritage. Based on this, the design of this river transport terminal area uses the Riverfront Architecture concept which uses two approaches, namely design based on local wisdom and sustainable design. The recreational river transport terminal area is the focal point in regional development river. It has the ability to improve the quality of life of local people, interesting tourists, and improve the tourist experience.

Abstract

The presence of premium cars in South Kalimantan is increasing. But, instead of bringing benefits to the region in fact it doesn’t. Premium cars roaming South Kalimantan still use out-of-region number plates. Vehicle Tax (PKB) for premium cars which should go to the regional treasury of South Kalimantan Province actually flows to the region where the car is registered. This of course brings big losses. This happens because there are no premium car dealerships in South Kalimantan, so people like to buy premium cars outside the region. To overcome this, a premium car dealership is needed in South Kalimantan. To attract buyers, a premium car dealership should not just be a place to buy premium cars, but also offer a premium car buying experience. This premium experience can be created through Futuristic Architecture and Mix-Used and Open Plan concepts. With a car dealership that is able to provide a premium experience, people will be more interested in buying premium cars in South Kalimantan, which will increase regional income through PKB and bring economic benefits to South Kalimantan Province.

Abstract

GenBI South Kalimantan is a community of Bank Indonesia scholarship recipients actively engaged in various work programs, ranging from community service to skill enhancement, and fostering close collaborations with various parties. With the potential increase in the reach of Bank Indonesia scholarship recipients in the South Kalimantan region, this community faces limited adequate facilities to support its high intensity of activities. Therefore, a Community Center in Banjarbaru City is designed to accommodate the collaborative activities of the GenBI South Kalimantan community with flexible spatial functionality. To achieve this goal, a space flexibility method is utilized by applying three main strategies: expandability, convertibility, and versatility. The implementation of these strategies forms the basis of the Flex Collaborative Space concept, which guides the formation of spatial zones, activity zones, and inter-room relationships, allowing the space to adapt to changing activities within the Community Center. The design outcome is a Community Center with communal spaces equipped with flexible elements such as open circulation, visual transparency, modular furniture, and non-fixed components. Thus, this rectangular-shaped building, modified through addition techniques and mass breaking (inner court massing), has the potential to become a functional and adaptive collaborative hub for GenBI and the surrounding community.

Abstract

This study examines the design of the Siring Laut Library in Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan, using a metaphorical architecture approach. Located in a strategic area of Siring Laut which is the center of community activities, this library is designed to overcome the challenge of low interest in library visits in the area. With an area of 9,442.46 km² and a population of 290,142, Kotabaru presents significant opportunities for the development of innovative libraries that are inclusive and culturally diverse. The design method uses a metaphorical architecture approach to create buildings that are not only functional, but also have deep meaning for the local community. The main concepts include inclusivity, comfort, flexibility of space, and integration with the beauty of the surrounding nature. The building design is inspired by the shape of an open book, symbolizing the openness of knowledge. The design results include clear zoning, the use of modern technology to improve services, and the selection of materials that are appropriate to the conditions of the coastal environment. This library is expected to be an inspiring learning center, arousing a sense of pride in regional literacy, and becoming a catalyst for increasing the reading interest of the Kotabaru community.
