Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to improve the ability of students to analyze science learning material based on cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains. This Classroom Action Research uses the Kemmis & Taggart design. The subjects of this study were students of Science Education Study Program of Lambung Mangkurat University. The research instrument used was an observation sheet in the form of a check list. The results showed an increase in the ability of students from the dominant was quite good (55.32%) in the first cycle to be dominant in the criteria of good (63.83%) in the second cycle. Keywords: science learning material analysis, cognitive, psychomotor, affective Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menganalisis materi IPA berdasarkan ranah kognitif, psikomotor, afektif. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini menggunakan desain Kemmis & Taggart. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan IPA Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar pengamatan dalam bentuk check list. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan mahasiswa dari dominan cukup baik (55, 32%) pada siklus I menjadi dominan pada kriteria baik (63, 83%) pada siklus II. Kata kunci: analisis materi IPA, kognitif, psikomotor, afektif

Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to produce a scientific learning device using a cooperative learning model that is valid, practical, and effective in an effort to improve attitudinal competence, knowledge and science process skills of Vocational Senior High School (SMK) students. The learning device development model used is a modification of the 4-D model. The instruments used were in the form of learning device validation sheets, questionnaires, observation sheets, and tests. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that: (1) the validity of the learning device was in very good category, (2) the implementation of the Lesson Plan (RPP) was in very good category, (3) the learning activities was 57% student-centered, attitude competence completeness was 82%, knowledge competence was 50%, process skills 82%, and students’ responses to the instruction were 91% positive, and (4) learning constraints factors were that students not familiar yet with science process skills and cooperative learning.Keywords: Learning device, scientific learning, cooperative learning, attitudinal competence, knowledge compete, science process skills. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran saintifik dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam upaya meningkatkan kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMK. Model pengembangan perangkat yang digunakan adalah modifikasi dari model 4-D. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi perangkat pembelajaran, angket, lembar observasi, dan tes. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) validitas perangkat pembelajaran berkategori sangat baik, (2) Keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori sangat baik, (3) aktivitas pembelajaran 57% berpusat pada siswa, ketuntasan kompetensi sikap 82%, kompetensi pengetahuan 50%, keterampilan proses 82%, dan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran 91% positif, serta (4) faktor kendala pembelajaran adalah siswa belum terbiasa dengan keterampilan proses sains dan pembelajaran kooperatif.Kata Kunci:  perangkat pembelajaran, pendekatan saintifik, pembelajaran kooperatif, pengetahuan, sikap, keterampilan  proses sains

Abstract

Abstract. The initial research showed that in general, the problem solving skills and students’ metacognition in several secondary high schools in Samarinda such as SMAN 8, Kunjang, SMAN 14 Loa Bakung, SMAN 3 Ulu, and SMAN 10  Seberang are still low.  Therefore, the researcher intend to develop physics metacognition learning model to improve problem solving skills and students’ metacognition. This study aims to develop physics metacognition learning model to increase problem solving skills and students’ metacognition. The data collection method used Focus Group Discussion (FGD. The validity of the model was evaluated based on content and construct validity. Validation result by expert showed that physics metacognition learning model and the learning devices can be categorized as valid. The physics metacognition learning model can be implemented in physics to increase problem solving skill and students’ metacognition.  Keywords: content validity, construct validity, physics metacognition learning model Abstrak. Hasil studi awal menunjukkan bahwa secara umum, keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan metakognisi siswa SMA Negeri 8 Sungai Kunjang Samarinda, SMA Negeri 14 Loa Bakung, SMA Negeri 3 Samarinda Ulu, dan SMA Negeri 10 Samarinda Seberang masih rendah. Oleh karena itu peneliti bermaksud mengembangkan model physics metacognition learning. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan model physics metacognition learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan metakognisi siswa. Metode pengumpulan data validasi menggunakan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Validitas model pembelajaran physics metacognition learning dinilai berdasarkan validitas isi dan validitas konstruk. Hasil validasi oleh pakar melalui FGD menunjukkan bahwa model physics metacognition learning dan perangkatnya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan metakognisi siswa dalam penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori valid. Model physics metacognition learning dapat diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran fisika  untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, dan metakognisi siswa. Kata Kunci: Validitas isi, validitas konstruk, dan model physics metacognition learning

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to describe the effectivity of cooperative learning model from the type of Numbered Head Together (NHT) with the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) Approachment in mathematics instruction. Type of research is a pre-experiment. Population of the research is all of the tenth grade (class X) students of public senior high school (SMAN) 2 Bua Ponrang. The research sample was students of class X-1 selected through random sampling techniques. Research data were collected by using test and observation techniques. The results showed that (a) Cooperative learning model from NHT type with AIR approachment instruction has been well implemented, (b) students’ activity was in ideal category, (c) students' responses toward the instruction was tend to be positive, and (d) student’s achievements was classically mastered with normalized gain was in high category, 0.74. Keywords: Efektivitas, Cooperative Learning, NHT, Auditory Intellectually Repetition Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model kooperatif tipe NHT (Numbered Head Together) dengan Pendekatan Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) dalam Pembelajaran Matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre-eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Bua Ponrang. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 yang terpilih melalui teknik random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik tes dan pengamatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (a) pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dengan pendekatan Auditory Intellectually Repetition terlaksana dengan baik, (b) aktivitas siswa  berada dalam kategori ideal, (c) respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran cenderung positif, dan (d) hasil belajar siswa tuntas secara klasikal dengan gain ternormalisasi sebesar 0,74 yang berkategori tinggi.  Kata kunci: Efektivitas, pembelajaran kooperatif, NHT, Auditory Intellectually Repetition

Abstract

Abstract.  This article presents the findings of a qualitative study conducted in English Department of Pekalongan University in 2018. The study aimed at revealing students’ and teachers’ perceptions about the importance and the meanings of independent learning particularly in their language learning. However this article only reports the interview results with fourteen students. The findings signal the students’ positive perceptions about independent learning. All students considered independent learning as important to improve their mastery of English. They also presented various reasons on the importance of doing independent learning. Interestingly, while all students reported the importance of doing independent learning, they described independent learning with a range of meanings. This suggests that independent learning means different thing for different students. Among the meanings they give to independent learning covers: 1) individual effort to improve the language competence, 2) individuals’ learning habits, 3) independent learning activities, 4) self-evaluation activity, and 5) self-reflection activity. Key words: qualitative study, independent learning, perceptions

Abstract

Abstract. The low level of science process skills (KPS) of students has an impact on the difficulty to understand physics learning. For this reason, a development research which aimed to produce and describe the feasibility of learning devices based on learner autonomy that are able to train science process skills was carried out. The research used a development model of ADDIE. The research subjects were 26 eleventh graders of science class-3 (class XI IPA-3) of Public Senior High School (SMAN) 6 Banjarmasin. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and tests. Technical data analysis was carried out in quantitative and qualitative descriptive ways. The results showed that the learning devices developed were: (1) valid according to academician’s assessment with very good categories, (2) practical according to the implementation of lesson plan (RPP) with very good category, (3) Effective according to the gain score achieved with moderate category, and (4) result in students’ Science Process Skills (KPS) achievement with skilled category. Thus, it can be concluded that the learning devices based on learner autonomy to train science process skills developed are feasible to be used in learning. Keywords: learner autonomy, science process skills. Abstrak. Rendahnya keterampilan proses sains (KPS) peserta didik berdampak pada kesulitan memahami pembelajaran fisika. Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis learner autonomy yang mampu melatihkan keterampilan proses sains, sekaligus mendeskripsikan kelayakannya. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE. Subjek uji coba penelitian ini adalah 26 peserta didik kelas XI IPA 3 SMAN 6 Banjarmasin. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan tes. Teknis analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan: (1) valid berdasarkan penilaian akademisi dengan kategori sangat baik, (2) praktis berdasarkan keterlaksanaan RPP yang berkategori sangat baik, (3) Efektif berdasarkan perolehan gain skor yang berkategori sedang, dan (4) Pencapaian KPS siswa berkategori terampil. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis learner autonomy untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Learner Autonomy, Keterampilan Proses Sains.

Abstract

Abstract. The research aims to improve physics learning outcomes through providing feedback in group discussions. The study involved class XII MIA 2 students of SMA Negeri 4 Takalar as many as 35 students consisting of 22 female and 13 male as research subjects and 2 teachers as observers. This study uses classroom action research methods carried out in two cycles with the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected with physics learning achievement test instruments and student activity observation sheets. The data collected was then analyzed using qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The results showed that giving feedback in group discussions resulted in an increase in the average score of physics learning outcomes of students in the first cycle was 12.84 with a standard deviation of 1.675 to 17.28 with a standard deviation of 0.843 for cycle II. From the results obtained it can be concluded that there is an increase in physics learning outcomes in class XII MIA 2 at SMA Negeri 4 Takalar by conducting a guidance process to discussion group members in the learning process and giving feedback and correcting students' mistakes at each meeting. Keywords: physics learning outcomes, group discussions, feedback Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika melalui pemberian umpan balik dalam  diskusi kelompok. Penelitian melibatkan siswa kelas XII MIA 2 SMA Negeri 4 Takalar sebanyak 35 siswa yang              terdiri dari 22 perempuan dan 13 laki-laki sebagai subjek penelitian dan 2 orang guru sebagai observer. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan dengan intrumen tes hasil belajar fisika dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Data yang terkumpul, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan pemberian umpan balik dalam diskusi kelompok mengabkibatkan peningkatan skor rata-rata hasil belajar fisika siswa pada  pada siklus I adalah 12,84 dengan standar deviasi 1,675 menjadi 17,28 dengan standar deviasi 0,843 untuk siklus II. Dari hasil yang diperoleh disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar fisika di kelas XII MIA 2 di SMA Negeri 4 Takalar dengan melakukan proses bimbingan pada anggota kelompok diskusi pada proses pembelajaran berlangsung dan memberikan umpan balik serta mengoreksi kesalahan siswa pada setiap pertemuan. Kata Kunci: hasil belajar fisika, diskusi kelompok, umpan balik

Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the application of peer assessment through mind mapping on student learning outcomes in the topic of colloidal system. This quasi-experimental study was conducted at the Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatussyuban with two classes as the research sample, namely the MIA 1 class as the experimental class and the MIA 2 class as the control class. The data collection technique uses 25 questions of objective tests with 5 options. The research data collected was analyzed using the Mann Whitney U test with the help of SPSS. The results of data analysis show that there is an effect of applying peer assessment through mind mapping on student learning outcomes.  Keywords: Learning outcomes, peer assessment, mind mapping, colloidal system. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas penerapan peer assessment melalui mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem koloid. Penelitian quasi experiment ini di Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatussyuban dengan melibatkan 2 kelas sebagai sampel penelitian, yaitu kelas MIA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas MIA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes obyektif berjumlah 25 nomor dengan 5 pilihan jawaban. Data penelitian yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan uji mann whitney u dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan peer assessment melalui mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: Hasil belajar, peer assessment, mind mapping, sistem koloid.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed at finding out the effectivity of Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) model using simple equipment on students’ concept understanding. This is a one-shot case study of pre-experimental design study. Subject of the study is all of the students who programmed Physics Experiment I Course in Papua University. The data collection was conducted through observation using an assessment rubric. The study result showed that: (1) the simple equipment designed by students was in very good category with the mean score of 92,43%, (2) students’ worksheet (LKPD) was in very good category with the mean score of 88,70%, (3) students’ concept understanding was in very good category with the mean score of 89,08%, and (4) students’ perception on GDL implementation was in very good category with the mean score of 79,71% Keyword: guided discovery learning, concept understanding, simple equipment Abstrak.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat efektivitas model pembelajaran Gudided Discovery Learning (GDL) menggunakan alat sederhana terhadap pemahaman konsep mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pre-eksperimental desaign jenis one-shot case study. Subjek Penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa yang memprogram mata kuliah Eksperimen Fisika 1 Universitas Papua yang berjumlah 6 orang.  Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi menggunakan rubrik penilaian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) alat sederhana yang dirancang oleh mahasiswa berkategori sangat baik, dengan nilai rata-rata 92,43%, (2) Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berkategori sangat baik  dengan nilai rata-rata 88,70%, (3) pemahaman konsep mahasiswa berkategori sangat baik dengan nilai rata-rata 89,08%, dan (4) presepsi mahasiswa terhadap implementasi GDL berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan nilai rata-rata 79,71%.  Kata kunci: guided discovery learning, pemahaman konsep, alat sederhana

Abstract

Abstract. This ex post facto study aimed to reveal the influence of divergent thinking skills, adversity quotient, attitudes toward mathematics, and perceptions of how mathematics teachers teach on learning outcomes and motivation to learn mathematics. The population of this study was all of eighth graders of Public Junior High School (SMPN) in the whole Sub District of North Wara, Palopo City. The sample was determined by cluster random sampling. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests. The research data were analyzed by using SPSS statistical data processing program. The results showed that divergent thinking skills, adversity quotient, attitudes toward mathematics, and perceptions of how mathematics teachers teach, together or partially, had a significant effect on mathematics learning outcomes and motivation to learn mathematics of Public Junior High School 8th graders in the whole District of North Wara, Palopo City. Keywords: Divergent Thinking skills, Adversity Quotient, Attitudes toward mathematics, Perception, Motivation, and mathematics learning outcomes. Abstrak.  Penelitian ex post facto ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pengaruh kemampuan  berpikir Divergen,  adversity quotient, sikap terhadap matematika, dan persepsi terhadap cara mengajar guru matematika terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar matematika. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN se-Kecamatan Wara Utara, Kota Palopo. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dan tes. Data dianalisis menggunakan program pengolahan data statistik SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir divergen, adversity quotient, sikap terhadap matematika, dan persepsi tentang cara guru matematika mengajar secara bersama-sama maupun secara parsial berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil dan motivasi belajar matematika pada siswa Kelas VIII SMPN se-Kecamatan Wara Utara, Kota Palopo. Kata Kunci: Berpikir divergen, adversity quotient, sikap, persepsi, motivasi, dan hasil belajar matematika.
