Abstract

Abstract. The relatively low storytelling skills of students encourages researcher to propose alternative solution to solve the problem in the form of using picture-assisted cooperative models. This classroom action research is conducted at class VIIIA students of SMPN 6 Banjarmasin. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation using observation sheets and student response questionnaires, and test techniques using descriptive questions. The results showed that students’ activity in learning increased from 44% in cycle I to 89% in cycle II. The students’ learning outcomes also increased from 65% in cycle I to 89% in cycle II. Students also gave positive responses to learning process by 90%. It can be concluded that picture-assisted cooperative models is effective in improving students' storytelling skills.Keywords: storytelling skills, cooperative learning model, picturesAbstrak.  Kemampuan bercerita siswa yang relatif masih rendah mendorong peneliti untuk mengajukan alternatif solusi pemecahan masalah berupa penggunaan model kooperatif berbantuan media gambar. Penelitian Tindakan kelas ini ditujukan kepada siswa kelas VIIIA SMPN 6 Banjarmasin. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi menggunakan lembar pengamatan dan angket respon siswa, serta teknik tes menggunakan soal uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan dari 44% pada siklus I menjadi 89% pada siklus II. Hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari 65% pada siklus I menjadi 89% pada siklus II. Siswa juga memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran sebesar 90%. Disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif berbantuan media gambar efektif meningkatkan kemampuan bercerita siswa. Kata Kunci: kemampuan bercerita, model pembelajaran kooperatif, media gambar

Abstract

Abstract.  Research has been conducted using generative learning models on colloidal material in class XI IPA 2 of SMAN 10 Banjarmasin. This study aims to improve (1) teacher activity, (2) student activity, (3) critical thinking skills, and (4) cognitive learning outcomes. This study uses a class action research design (PTK) with two cycles in progress. The instruments in this study were tests and non-tests. The data analysis technique used in the study is qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The results showed that (1) the increase in teacher activity from the first cycle in the good category became a very good category in the second cycle, (2) the increase in student activities from the first cycle in the active category to the very active category inicycle II, critical of the first cycle of 3.44 (less critical) to 5.7 (critical) inithe second cycle, and (4) the completeness of classical cognitive learning outcomes from the first cycle reached 37.14% to 77.14% in the second cycle.Keywords: Generati Learning Models,Critical Thinking Skills, ColloidalAbstrak. Telah dilakukan penelitian menggunakan model pembelajaran generatif pada materi koloid di kelas XI IPA 2 SMAN 10 Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan (1) aktivitas guru, (2) aktivitas siswa, (3) kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan (4) hasil belajar kognitif. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus secara berlanjut. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa tes dan non-tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah analisis kualitatif dan analisis kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) peningkatan aktivitas guru dari siklus I dalam kategori baik menjadi kategori sangat baik pada siklus II, (2) Peningkatan aktivitas siswa dari siklus I dalam kategori aktif menjadi kategori sangat aktif pada siklus II, (3) meningkatnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dari siklus I sebesar 3,44 (kurang kritis) menjadi 5,7 (kritis) pada siklus II, dan (4) ketuntasan hasil belajar kognitif secara klasikal dari siklus I mencapai 37,14%  menjadi 77,14% pada siklus II.Kata kunci: Model/Pembelajaran Generatif, Kemampuan Berpikir  Kritis, Koloid

Abstract

Abstract. This research was conducted to improve critical thinking skills students through the application of the Project Based Learning (PBL) model on the material of simple harmonic motion. The research design was a quasi-experimental study with a control group pretest posttest design. The research was conducted at a high school in Samarinda with the number of research subjects consisting of 34 students. The instruments of the research were in the form of an integrated test description with skills critical thinking and a questionnaire of the student responses to the application of the PBL model. The result of the research showed that the of the PBL model (experimental class) improved students' critical thinking skills with N-Gain means of 0.61, while the conventional model (control class) improved students' critical thinking skills with N-Gain means of 0.38. There is a significant difference in critical thinking skills between classes using the PBL model compared to those applying the conventional model on the topic of simple harmonic motion.Keywords: problem based learning, critical thinking, simple harmonic motion.Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui penerapan model Project Based Learning (PBL) pada materi gerak harmonik sederhana. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan control group pretest posttest design. Penelitian dilakukan pada salah satu SMA di Samarinda dengan jumlah subjek penelitian terdiri dari 34 siswa orang siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian yang terintegrasi dengan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan angket tanggapan siswa terhadap penerapan model PBL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL (kelas eksperimen) meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan rerata N-Gain sebesar 0,61, sedangkan untuk model konvensional (kelas control) meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan rerata N-Gain sebesar 0,38. Terdapat perbedaan kterampilan berpikir kritis yang signifikan antara kelas dengan menerapkan model PBL dibandingkan dengan yang menerapkan model konvensional pada topik gerak harmonik sederhana.Kata kunci: problem based learning, berpikir kritis, gerak harmonik sederhana.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine whether there are any differences in the students’ achievement of higher order thinking skills and the student learning outcomes through the application of problem solving learning assisted by smart chemistry applications on stichiometry. The population was 105 students of X MIPA SMAN 11 Banjarmasin. The sampling technique was conducted by  purposive sampling with 2 experimental classes and 1 control class. Each class consisted of 35 students. The method used was quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The data collection was gathered using test and non-test techniques. The data analysis technique used was descriptive and inferential analysis techniques using one way ANAVA test. The results showed that higher order thinking skills, learning outcomes, knowledge, skills and attitudes of the experimental class were better than the control class.Keywords: problem solving, smart chemistry, higher order thinking skills, learning outcomes, stoichiometry.Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan pencapaian keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan hasil belajar peserta didik, melalui penerapan pembelajaran problem solving berbantuan aplikasi smart chemistry pada topik stikiometri. Populasi penelitian yaitu sebanyak 105 peserta didik X MIPA SMAN 11 Banjarmasin. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik purposive sampling dengan 2 kelas eksperimen dan 1 kelas kontrol. Masing-masing kelas terdiri dari 35 peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes dan nontes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik analisis deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan uji ANAVA 1 jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, hasil belajar pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap dari kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kelas kontrol.Kata kunci: problem solving, smart chemistry, keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, hasil belajar, stoikiometri.

Abstract

Abstract. Learning science in schools could be very "challenging" for the teachers since they have to implement scientific learning which focuses on student-centered as much as possible. This research was oriented on a scientific approach in which related to process skills and student learning outcomes. The pre-experimental research used a one-shot case study design. The research was conducted on VIII-A class at one of the state junior high schools in Palangka Raya. The data collection techniques were observation and written tests. The results showed that: (1) there were 40% of students who had science process skills in the very good category, 44% in the good category, and 16% in the fair category; (2) there were 73.33% of the students who had achieved the learning outcomes mastery. The application of the scientific approach had positive impact on science process skills and student learning outcomes. However, another interesting finding was that the students still had difficulties in linking the material being studied with everyday reality.Keywords: science learning. scientific approach, process skills.Abstrak. Pembelajaran IPA di sekolah sangat “menantang” guru sedapat mungkin mengimplementasikan pembelajaran saintifik yang berpusat pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini berorientasi pada pendekatan saintifik, kaitannya dengan keterampilan proses dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian pre-experimental design ini menggunakan one-shot case study. Penelitian dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas VIII-A pada salah satu SMP Negeri di Palangka Raya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Sebanyak 40% peserta didik memiliki keterampilan proses sains dengan kategori yang sangat baik, 44% dengan kategori baik, dan 16% dengan kategori cukup baik. (2) Sebanyak 73.33% peserta didik telah mencapai ketuntasan hasil belajar. Penerapan pendekatan Saintifik berdampak positif terhadap capaian keterampilan proses sains serta hasil belajar peserta didik. Namun demikian, temuan menarik lainnya adalah peserta didik masih kesulitan mengaitkan materi yang dipelajari dengan realita sehari-hari.Kata kunci: pembelajaran IPA. pendekatan saintifik, keterampilan proses.
