Abstract

This study aimed to obtain data on the use and utilization of peatlands that the government has provided to meet their daily needs. Peatlands, which are very difficult to manage, challenge transmigrant communities to turn them into productive land. The method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach to reveal the facts in the field. Data collection used interviews, document studies, and direct observation of the field. Based on the data, it is known that the transmigrant community used peatland for mixed gardens, with 1010 plots of land used for seasonal crops (vegetables, oranges and rice) and perennials (rubber, oil palm and coconut), 480 plots of land were for settlements, and as many as 32 plots of land were used for mosques, cemeteries and schools. This data was obtained from the National Land Agency (BPN) Kab. Barito Kuala, interviews, and direct observations with the people who cultivate the land. The results obtained explain that the use of peatlands by transmigrants was certainly an illustration that peatlands could still be used as productive and comfortable land to be used as settlements/residences and for community livelihoods. With proper management, the use of peatland would provide great benefits, not only for the present but also for the future.Keywords: Peatlands; Transmigran Community; Utilization Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh data mengenai penggunaan dan pemanfaatkan lahan gambut yang telah diberikan oleh pemerintah guna memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya. Lahan gambut yang notabennya sangat sulit dikelola menjadi tantangan bagi masyarakat transmigran untuk menjadikannya lahan produktif. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif  untuk mengungkap fakta yang terdapat di lapangan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, studi dokumen, dan observasi langsung ke lapangan. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh diketahui bahwa masyarakat transmigran menggunakan lahan bergambut untuk kebun campuran yaitu sebanyak 1010 bidang tanah digunakan untuk tanaman musiman (sayuran, jeruk dan padi) dan tanaman keras (karet, sawit dan kelapa), 480 bidang tanah untuk permukiman, dan sebanyak 32 bidang tanah yang digunakan untuk masjid/langgar, kuburan, dan sekolah. Data ini diperoleh dari Badan Pertanahan Nasional (BPN) Kabupaten Barito Kuala, wawancara, dan observasi langsung dengan masyarakat yang mengolahan lahan tersebut. Hasil yang diperoleh  menerangkan bahwa penggunaan lahan bergambut oleh masyarakat transmigran tentu menjadi gambaran bahwa lahan gambut masih bisa dijadikan lahan yang produktif dan nyaman untuk dijadikan permukiman/tempat tinggal serta untuk penghidupan masyarakat. Dengan pengolahan yang tepat, pemanfaatan lahan bergambut dapat bermanfaat dengan baik secara berkelanjutan.Kata Kunci: Lahan Gambut; Masyarakat Transmigran; Pemanfaatan

Abstract

Abstract. The spread of Covid-19 in Indonesian territory is increasing. In preventing covid-19 transmission in the campus environment, learning methods in universities in all zones must be implemented the e-learning for theoretical and practical subjects. However, when it comes to graduation and student competencies that cannot be implemented in e-learning, these activities can be held while maintaining the health and safety of students and lecturers. On the other hand, not all students and lecturers are accustomed to doing e-learning. Therefore, problems will arise about how e-learning management can improve student learning independence in the Economic Education Study Program of Ronggolawe University. This research was descriptive using the survey method. The research subjects were the head of the study program, lecturers, students and support technicians data collection techniques through questionnaires and documentation of e-learning implementation reports. The research data analysis was carried out descriptively by calculating the percentage and through the average score, interval, and categorization. Based on the data analysis, it was obtained: 1) e-learning management was 3.49 (quite effective); 2) Students responded positively to online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, 3) independent learning in e-learning shows that 7.69% of students have low learning independence, 21.61% are less independent, 40.07% are quite independent and 27.63% have high independence. It could be prepared that e-learning management was quite effective in increasing student learning independence. However, there were still some aspects that need to be improved. It can be concluded that the management of e-learning was quite effective in increasing student learning independence. However, there were still some aspects that needed to be improved. These aspects included: 1) Optimizing the planning and implementation of e-learning, 2) preparing a repository of digital materials that are easily accessible to students, 3) the readiness of students to participate in e-learning.Keywords: Management, E-Learning, Learning Independence

Abstract

Research has been carried out on applying the sociodrama method to increase students' interest in history learning. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle implemented in two meetings. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPS 3 consisting of 36 people in total. This study used techniques in the data collection process: observation, interviews, questionnaires, documents and evaluation results to strengthen research results. The results of Classroom Action Research in the application of the sociodrama method have shown that learning activities took place very satisfactorily. Students were more active and enthusiastic in learning implementation, and teachers acted as motivators and facilitators. Three important points to measure the success of learning: First, the results of sociodrama learning activities achieved a classical increase from cycle I to cycle II, listening activities increased by 28%, sociodrama increased by 36%, discussion or criticism increased by 55%, and evaluation activities increased by 47%. Second, the results of the evaluation activities from Cycle I to Cycle II have increased by 47%. Third, student responses to the questionnaire on the interest in learning History obtained an average percentage of students of 36% in the agreeing category and 64% strongly agree. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Sociodrama method has succeeded in increasing student interest in learning history in class XI IPS 3 at SMA Negeri 5 Banjarmasin.Keywords: History Learning; Learning Interest; Sociodrama MethodPenelitian telah dilakukan tentang penerapan metode sosiodrama untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Sejarah. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Classroom Action Research yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan untuk dua kali pertemuan. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS 3 berjumlah 36 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan  teknik dalam proses pengumpulan data: observasi, wawancara, angket, dokumen, dan hasil evaluasi untuk memperkuat hasil penelitian. Hasil Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dalam penerapan metode sosiodrama telah menunjukan kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung dengan sangat memuaskan. Siswa lebih aktif dan antusias dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran dan guru bertindak sebagai motivator dan fasilitator. Tiga poin penting yang menjadi tolak ukur keberhasilan pembelajaran: Pertama, hasil kegiatan pembelajaran sosiodrama, mencapai peningkatan secara klasikal dari siklus I  ke siklus II kegiatan mendengar naik 28 %, bersosiodrama naik 36 %, diskusi atau mengkritisi naik 55 %  dan  kegiatan evaluasi naik 47 %. Kedua, hasil kegiatan evaluasi siklus I ke siklus II mengalami kenaikan 47 %. Ketiga, hasil respon siswa terhadap angket minat belajar Sejarah diperoleh rata rata persentase siswa sebesar 36 % dalam kategori setuju dan sebesar 64 % sangat setuju. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode sosiodrama telah berhasil meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Sejarah kelas XI IPS 3 di SMA Negeri 5 Banjarmasin.Kata Kunci: Metode Sosiodrama; Minat Belajar; Pembelajaran Sejarah

Abstract

In the context of university quality insurance, student satisfaction became one of the main indicators of service success given by the institution. Measurement of student satisfaction became an invaluable input for the institution to determine the direction of urgent improvement. This study aimed to describe student satisfaction with academic services and analyzed the quality of academic services to produce measurable improvement suggestions. This research involved students in the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Mulawarman University, as the respondents, which are 165 students, representing 6 study programs selected by Stratified Random Sampling technique with the stratum length of study, which fill the online questionnaire. The instrument used is an adaptation of the Student Satisfaction Survey (SSI). The analysis results showed that the academic services in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Mulawarman University still need to be improved because 50.9% of respondents stated satisfied, but 49.1% stated not satisfied. The level of student satisfaction by gender tends to be the same, i.e. 2.51 for male students and 2.53 for women, while based on study period and GPA tends to increase with the duration of the study period and the increasing GPA. According to Importance-Satisfaction Matrix, the quality of academic services put all dimensions in the second quadrant, which means that the dimensions of satisfaction had been quite good.Keywords: Academic Service; Quality; Student Satisfaction; University

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools can be used as the best alternative as a place for children in studying education, both in the context of religious guidance and formal general studies. The achievement of quality educational goals and having broad values require high motivation and interest in learning, to realize this, it must be supported by the encouragement of both parents which is applied in the learning environment and family environment. This study aimed to analyze learning motivation and the factors that influence it, which was carried out at Darul Ilmi Islamic Boarding School with a quantitative descriptive approach and random sampling. Based on the data analysis  obtained, there were several factors that influence the motivation of students in learning, as described below: a) 58.6% of students stated that they were motivated by choosing Islamic boarding schools as a place for learning, b) 44.2% of students were motivated to study in Islamic boarding schools because they had basic religious abilities from previous educational institutions, c) 53.9% of students felt calm and comfortable with the atmosphere of Islamic boarding schools, d) 57% of students felt comfortable in the boarding school environment. Based on the indicators, the factor that had a major influence on students' motivation to learn at the Darul Ilmi Islamic boarding school was the desire and ideals of the student to gain knowledge at the Islamic boarding school.Keywords: Motivation; Islamic Boarding Schools; LearningPondok pesantren dapat dijadikan alternatif terbaik sebagai wadah untuk menempatkan anak dalam menimba ilmu pendidikan, baik dalam konteks tuntunan agama maupun kajian umum yang bersifat formal. Ketercapaian tujuan pendidikan yang bermutu dan memiliki nilai yang luas diperlukan motivasi dan minat yang tinggi dalam belajar, untuk mewujudkan hal demikian harus didukung dengan dorongan kedua orang tua yang diterapkan di lingkungan pembelajaran maupun lingkungan keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi belajar dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, yang dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Darul Ilmi dengan pendekatan deskriprif kuantitatif dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak (random sampling). Berdasarkan analisis data yang diperoleh terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi santri dalam belajar, sebagai mana diuraikan berikut ini: a) 58,6% santri menyatakan termotivasi dengan memilih pondok pesantren sebagai wadah untuk belajar, b) 44,2% santri termotivasi untuk belajar di pondok pesantren karena memiliki kemampuan dasar keagamaan dari lembaga pendidikan terdahulu, c) 53,9 % santri merasa tenang dan nyaman dengan suasana pondok pesantren, d) 57% santri merasa nyaman berada di lingkungan pondok pesantren. Berdasarkan indikator di atas terdapat faktor yang memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap motivasi belajar santri di pondok pesantren Darul Ilmi adalah keinginan dan cita-cita santri untuk menimba ilmu di pondok pesantren.Kata Kunci: Motivasi, Belajar, Pondok Pesantren

Abstract

This research aimed to improve the competence of school principals in target elementary schools in analyzing the quality of schools report cards based on National Education Standards (SNP) through managerial supervision by the workshop method. The method used in this research was school action research through two cycles. The subjects of this study were seven elementary school principals in the target area of the North Tapin sub-district, Tapin Regency. The instruments used in this study were the analysis table worksheet and the preparation of recommendations for the quality mapping results, and the supervision implementation sheet. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitative. The results showed: (1) 28.57% of the target school principals completed individually and 64.29% completed classically in the first cycle; (2) 100% of the target school principals have completed individually and 85.71% have completed classically in cycle II. Based on the research results, the managerial supervision by workshop method could improve school principals' competence in analysing school quality report cards based on SNP in the education units.Keywords: Report; School principals; Supervision; WorkshopTujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan  kompetensi kepala sekolah di Sekolah Dasar (SD) binaan dalam menganalisis raport mutu sekolah berbasis Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP) melalui supervisi manajerial metode workshop. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan sekolah melalui dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah tujuh orang kepala sekolah SD di wilayah binaan kecamatan Tapin Utara Kabupaten Tapin. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar kerja tabel analisis dan penyusunan rekomendasi terhadap hasil pemetaan mutu, dan lembar pelaksanaan supervisi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) 28,57% kepala sekolah binaan tuntas secara individu dan 64,29% tuntas secara klasikal pada siklus I; (2) 100% kepala sekolah binaan tuntas secara individu dan 85,71% tuntas secara klasikal pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut supervisi manajerial metode workshop dapat meningkatkan kompetensi kepala sekolah dalam menganalisis raport mutu sekolah berbasis SNP di satuan Pendidikan.Kata Kunci: Raport; Kepala Sekolah; Supervisi; Workshop

Abstract

Suitable teaching materials are teaching materials that can facilitate all the needs of students and are contextual. The availability of integrated science materials that were contextual, especially in wetlands, was still insufficient. Therefore, this research was carried out to develop a local wisdom-based integrated science teaching material on wetlands. This study aimed to describe the feasibility of teaching materials developed. This research wss the research development by using a modified four-D-models design (define, design, and develop).  The subjects of this study were junior high school students in Banjarmasin. The instruments used in this study are based on the validity sheet of teaching materials, questionnaires of student responses and test instruments of learning results. Based on the development and trial results, it was concluded that the integrated science-based teaching materials based on local wisdom in wetlands on energy material in living systems, temperatures and heat and environmental pollution were feasible. The results of other studies obtained were integrated science-based teaching materials based on local wisdom in wetlands that were applied using a guided inquiry learning model, capable of improving students' science process skills in good categories. The results of this study provided an idea that the teaching materials prepared by containing contextual learning elements in the form of local wisdom wetlands could be used as references in the science learning process.Keywords: Development; Local Wisdom; Teaching Material; Wetlands  Bahan ajar yang baik adalah bahan ajar yang mampu memfasilitasi segala kebutuhan peserta didik (student need) dan bersifat kontekstual. Kenyataan yang ditemui adalah ketersediaan bahan ajar IPA terpadu yang bersifat kontekstual terutama di lahan basah masih belum mencukupi. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian dengan menyusun sebuah bahan ajar IPA terpadu berbasis kearifan lokal di lahan basah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan rancangan four-D-models yang dimodifikasi (define, design, and develop). Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik SMP yang ada di Banjarmasin. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa lembar validitas bahan ajar, angket respon peserta didik, dan instrumen tes hasil belajar.  Berdasarkan pada hasil pengembangan dan uji coba, maka diperoleh simpulan bahwa bahan ajar IPA terpadu berbasis kearifan lokal di lahan basah pada materi energi pada sistem kehidupan, suhu dan kalor, serta pencemaran lingkungan layak digunakan. Hasil penelitian lainnya yang diperoleh adalah bahan ajar IPA terpadu berbasis kearifan lokal lahan basah yang diterapkan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing mampu meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik dengan kategori baik. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan gambaran bahwa bahan ajar yang disusun dengan memuat unsur kontekstual learning berupa kearifan lokal lahan basah dapat dijadikan salah satu referensi dalam proses pembelajaran IPA di tingkat SMP.Kata Kunci: Pengembangan; Kearifan Lokal; Bahan ajar; Lahan Basah
