Abstract

Everyone needs transportation to fulfill their living needs, such as for work, school, recreation and social interaction. Travel to various places in Palangka Raya City with online transportation modes such as Gojek and Grab. For the choice of transportation mode, travelers consider various factors such as comfort, cost, security, affordability, regularity, waiting time for departure and length of travel time. In this study, data collection was obtained from questionnaires and respondents who considered the respondent's education, the number of two-wheeled vehicles owned, the costs incurred for transportation, and the income of each respondent, as well as the purpose of each respondent's travel. From the results of the questionnaire that has been distributed, a descriptive analysis is then carried out to determine which variable is superior in the selection of online transportation mode by respondents. The results obtained showed that respondents chose to strongly agree on the selection of online transportation mode by considering several superior variables, namely Comfort Level (X1) with a percentage of 68.3%, Safety Level (X3) with a percentage of 62.5%, Safety Level with a percentage of 59.2%. For the Agree option, respondents chose several variables, namely Regularity Level (X5) with a percentage of 36.7%, Affordableness Level (X6) with a percentage of 41.7% and Travel Time Length (X7) with a percentage of 43.3%, who chose Gojek and Grab as the chosen Online Transportation.

Abstract

Rivers are one of the water resources that have a number of potentials that can be utilized for human welfare. Natural phenomena that threaten the existence of human life in several regions in Indonesia every rainy season are floods. Kahayan River is one of the rivers in Central Kalimantan that often experiences flooding. Kahayan River has an area of 81,684 km2, a length of 600 km, a width of 500 m and a depth of up to 7 m (Indonesia, 2016). Hydrologic Engineering Center-River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) software is a tool to determine the flow of water in a river. Simulation in HEC-RAS can be used to simulate floods well through steady flow and unsteady flow analysis. This research was conducted in the Kahayan River, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan, starting from the Kahayan Bridge to Rambang Port. This research is included in the type of Exploratory Research, where researchers explore, analyze and generalize a phenomenon or condition through surveys and field observations. In this study, daily water level data is converted into daily discharge using the rating curve equation, discharge with a maximum value for 2013-2022 is determined to obtain the maximum annual discharge value. Based on the results of the discharge frequency analysis, the discharge for the 20, 50, and 100 year return periods is 1,459.2846 m³/s, 1,567.5594 m³/s, and 1,685.4194 m³/s, respectively. Return period discharge is one of the boundary conditions in flow simulation using 1-Dimensional HEC-RAS. Based on the simulation results, the maximum flood water level elevation for a 20-year return period is 4.98 m – 6.73 m. The 50-year return period ranges from 5.12 m – 6.9 m, while the 100-year return period is at an elevation of 5.27 m – 7.08 m.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah masih terbatasnya kapasitas produksi fuel gas dan produksi LPG pada unit flare gas recovery system. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengoptimalkan jumlah produksi fuel gas dan produksi dengan pengaturan variabel temperatur air pendingin pada peralatan inter cooler dan after cooler. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengaturan temperature air pendingin intercooler pada 28-30oC dapat menghasilkan produksi fuel gas dari 30,5% menjadi 31,5% dan produksi LPG dari 3,1% menjadi 3,3% dari aliran feed intake. Pengaturan temperature air pendingin after cooler pada temperature 25-27oC dapat mengasilkan produksi fuel gas 29,5% dan produksi LPG 4.1%. Inovasi optimasi dengan pengaturan temperature air pendingin inter cooler dan after cooler dapat menjadi solusi pilihan jenis produksi apa yang akan dioptimasi pada unit FGRS. Kata kunci : optimasi, fuel gas, LPG, inter cooler, after cooler.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of variations in feed rate and spindle speed on the surface roughness of ASSAB 760 material using the dry machining process method. The machining process was carried out using a DAHLIH CNC milling machine, model MCV 1020BA, with the dry machining process method. This study was conducted experimentally using 9 specimens of ASSAB 760 material, with variations in feed rate of 50 mm/min, 100 mm/min, and 150 mm/min, and spindle speed of 1750 rpm, 2000 rpm, and 2250 rpm.The results of the study indicate that variations in feed rate and spindle speed significantly affect surface roughness, as proven by α = 0.5 through the calculation of f-value and p-value. The test results also show that the feed rate variable contributes 65% to the variation in surface roughness values. The combination of a 150 mm/min feed rate and 1750 rpm spindle speed resulted in the lowest average surface roughness value of 1.706 μm. However, the highest surface roughness value, at 1.681 μm, was obtained at point 1 with parameters of a 150 mm/min feed rate and 2250 rpm spindle speed.

Abstract

The selection of the right mode of transportation is very important for students to reach school safely and on time. This research aims to identify what efforts can be made to encourage students to choose conventional bicycles as their preferred mode of transportation for school purposes. This research uses a survey method by distributing questionnaires to students in several schools. The data collected includes information about the modes of transportation used, the distance between home and school, transportation costs, and other factors that influence the choice of transportation mode. Data collection was conducted using the online platform Google Forms. The data was analyzed with the help of SPSS software to determine which variables are most significant in increasing the ose of bicycles as an enviromentanlly friendly transportation option for educational travel in the city of Palangka Raya for junior high and high school students. The main model used is the binomial logit model to determine the efforts in using environmentally friendly transportation modes, in this case, conventional bicycles. Based on the study results with 281 respondents, the variables affecting the choice of transportation modes for junior high and senior high school students are Environmental Concern and Ownership of a Conventional Bicycle. Abstract

ABSTRACT One of Drilling is a critical process in oil and gas exploration and production, with its success highly dependent on the performance of drilling mud. Drilling mud serves essential functions such as maintaining wellbore stability, cooling the drill bit, and transporting cuttings to the surface. However, in field applications, the mud is often contaminated by formation materials, including gypsum. Gypsum contamination can negatively affect the physical properties of the mud, such as increasing filtrate volume and decreasing pH, which can reduce operational efficiency, compromise safety, and increase the risk of equipment damage.This study investigates the effect of adding PAC-R additive at concentrations of 0.25%, 0.5%, and 1% to water-based mud contaminated with 3% gypsum. The evaluation focused on key mud properties, including mud weight, plastic viscosity, yield point, gel strength, filtrate volume, and pH. The presence of 3% gypsum decreased the initial pH from 11 to 7.49 and increased the filtrate volume from 8 mL to 11 ml. The addition of 0.25% PAC-R to the contaminated mud raised the pH to 10.5, 0.5% PAC-R increased the pH to 10.8, while 1% PAC-R slightly reduced the pH to 10.2. These results indicate that PAC-R additive can help mitigate the adverse effects of gypsum contamination and improve the mud's physical properties. Abstract

Cut Mutia Raya Road, located in East Bekasi, is a road that connects Bekasi City with Bekasi Regency and has a very important role in the development of Bekasi City and its surroundings. The high number of U-turn movements on this road section affects the performance of the road section, which causes disturbances for motorists both from the same direction and from the opposite direction and has the potential for traffic conflicts, in addition to congestion caused by the impact of the distance between the median opening facilities (U-turn). The aim of this study is to determine the characteristics of traffic flow on this road section using the PKJI-2023 method, get the performance value of the U-turn facility, and find out how much influence the U-turn facility has on the performance of the road section. The method used is by making direct observations in the field to obtain geometric data of road sections, traffic counting for the volume of vehicles on the road section, and those that turn back at the U-Turn facility to be further analyzed using the PKJI-2023 method and the 2005 U-Turn Planning Guidelines method. Based on the survey data in the field, the peak hour volume of vehicles on Wednesday, 13 November 2024, was 4.016 vehicles/hour (3.100 vcu/hour), with a Degree of Saturation (DJ) value of 0,74. The free flow speed is 55,2 km/h, and the MP passenger vehicle speed based on DJ is 46 km/h. The volume of vehicles making a U-turn at the U-turn is 731 vehicles/hour (406,6 vcu/hour). With a vehicle waiting time of 10,12s with a queue length of 3,12m and a delay of 12,04s.

Abstract

The increasing use of electric bicycles as eco-friendly transportation in Palangka Raya City presents unique challenges related to riding safety. This study aims to analyze the safety behavior of electric bicycle riders, identify the dominant factors influencing such behavior, and determine the age group most responsible for safe riding practices. A quantitative survey method employing an Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP)-based questionnaire involving 20 experts and experienced users was utilized. The results indicate that accident risk is the most significant concern (42%), followed by risky behavior (34%) and safety behavior (24%). The adult age group (26–45 years) demonstrates the best safety behavior with a global weight of 49%. These findings highlight the importance of continuous education and regulatory enforcement to enhance electric bicycle rider safety. Recommendations emphasize the role of authorities, academics, and the community in optimizing traffic safety policies and awareness.

Abstract

In an increasingly interconnected digital era, data security has become a critical aspect across various sectors such as banking, government, and the technology industry. Threats to information, including hacking and data theft, have driven the need for encryption technology as a primary solution for data protection. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of two widely used modern cryptographic algorithms—Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA)—in safeguarding digital data. AES is a symmetric algorithm that operates on 128-bit data blocks, while RSA is an asymmetric algorithm that relies on the complexity of factoring large prime numbers. This study compares the strengths and weaknesses of both algorithms in terms of encryption efficiency, resilience against cyberattacks, and their implementation in information technology systems such as digital banking services, cloud computing, and online transactions. Through a literature review, this research seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the role of cryptography in addressing information security challenges in the digital age.

Abstract

Delays in construction projects are a recurring issue in Indonesia, often resulting in budget overruns and reduced efficiency. This study analyzes a project acceleration strategy using the crashing method on a housing project consisting of three Type 45 residential units located in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan. The project was originally scheduled for 214 calendar days, with a contract value of Rp 557,639,742.03. Despite the relatively small scope, time constraints and a client request for faster delivery required optimization efforts. By applying descriptive quantitative methods, this research evaluated two crashing alternatives: adding working hours (overtime) and increasing labor. The study reviewed previous implementations of crashing methods and assessed their relevance to this case. Results show that accelerating the critical path can reduce project duration effectively while maintaining cost efficiency. The results of the crashing analysis using two alternatives—1-hour and 2-hour overtime additions—were compared based on efficiency in the crash activity of Batako Wall Installation (1PC:3PP). Between the two alternatives, the 2-hour overtime option was selected due to its higher time efficiency and negligible difference in cost efficiency compared to the 1-hour alternative. The 2-hour overtime alternative proved more effective given the significant reduction in overall project duration. It shortened the project by 6 days, from 215 calendar days to 209 days—resulting in a 2.7% time efficiency. The total project cost was reduced by Rp 3,597,896.45, from Rp 633,800,000.00 to Rp 630,202,103.55, yielding a 0.56% cost efficiency.
