Abstract

Abstract                                                                  This study is aimed to analyze about how the citizen’s behavior toward the demand of cryptocurrency in Banda Aceh. This study uses random purposive sampling method in collecting the data where the data is obtained through the interview toward the citizen from the nine districts in Banda Aceh. The model analysis that used is the qualitative descriptive analysis by using the following technique tabulation; editing, interpretation, and concluding. Based on the analysis, this study concludes that most of the cryptocurrency user are male that has the range of age between 22 to 24 years old. They use this cryptocurrency in order to raise the profit possibility and make the easiest transactions. Keywords: Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, digital money.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to examine how the relationship between gender and urban development. The method used is qualitative analysis method using City Prosperity Index (CPI) data published by UNHABITAT year 2016. From the data selected 34 city with complete data for deep study. Based on the results of the research, found the fact of gender development is not subtle in cities with very high and high CPI led to improved urban development. In cities with moderate CPI, gender development channels are already visible, which are building moderate cities. In cities with low and very low CPI, gender development is clearly visible and bad. Poor gender development is highly visible in cities with very low CPI. The implications are the things people do to build cities, to improve the quality of urban development. In addition, it is also necessary to focus on urban development in pockets of poverty such as Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and Central and South Asia.Keywords: Gender Development, City Development, City Prosperity

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the income of cocoa farmers in Padang Tiji District, Pidie Regency. Revenue is revenue minus total costs during production. The data used in this study are primary data. The method used is descriptive qualitative, sampling using purposive sampling with a total sample of 93 respondents. The results showed that farmers' income ranged from Rp. 14,085,313 - Rp. 52,715,000 / year. The level of production and price of cocoa sales based on the results of the analysis found that when production increases, the amount of farmers' income is higher and vice versa if production decreases, the number of farmers' income decreases, so when prices rise, the number of farmers' income is higher down, the number of farmers' income also declined. The total production costs incurred on cocoa farming depend on the area of land owned which ranges from Rp. 8,670,313-Rp. 39,660,000. As one of the central areas of cocoa plantations, the government must be able to help farmers in Pidie Subdistrict in terms of business capital, counseling, and marketing of cocoa products to increase farmers' income and be able to increase Pidie District's Original Revenue.Keywords: Income, production costs, land area, price, amount of production

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine regional inequality and economic growth in the parent district and its provision in Aceh Province. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach. Research data used in 2010-2018. The analysis used is the Williamson Index and Klassen Typology. The results show that Lhokseumawe City has the highest per capita GRDP, while the highest economic growth is in West Aceh District. The results of the calculation of regional inequality explained that in region 1 with the central district of West Aceh showed an inequality rate of 0.28 but decreased not far in 2018 of 0.27. Shallow categories of regional inequality are found in regions three, five, seven, and eight. The results of the Klassen Typology clarification explained that Aceh Barat Daya, Gayo Lues, and Lhokseumawe are fast-growing and fast-advancing areas. Meanwhile, Simeulue, Aceh Jaya, Singkil, Bener Meriah, and Pidie Jaya are relatively disadvantaged areas.Keywords: GRDP per Capita, Economic Growth, Regional Inequality, Klassen Typology

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the factors that affect poverty in Aceh Province. Labor ForceParticipation Rate (LFPR), Unemployment Rate, and economic growth are the dominantvariables that affect Aceh’s poverty. The data used in this study is panel data in the period 2008-2015 and analysis model used is multiple linear regression with fixed effect model. The resultsshow that poverty in Aceh Province can be explained by the variables LFPR, unemployment rateand economic growth with R2 of 78.51 percent. The regression coefficient shows that the LFPRvariable has a negative and significant on Aceh's Poverty level, the unemployment rate variablehas a negative and not significant effect on Aceh's poverty level, while the economic growthvariable has a positive and not significant effect on Aceh’s poverty level. The results of thisstudy are expected to be an indicator of the government to choose policies that are suitable forreducing poverty in Aceh Province.Keywords: Poverty, Labor Force Participaton Rate (LFPR), Unemployment, Economic Growth,Fixed Effect Model.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the role of rural women in improving the family economy by looking at the contribution of family income in reducing poverty. This study analyzes the age, education, working time, wages, and types of women's work related to the role of women's income in the family economy. The data used are primary data, obtained from field observations. The sample used as many as 122 people using the Slovin Method. Samples are housewife women and data collection is done by interview using a questionnaire, and determination of the sample using a purposive sampling method. The analysis model is descriptive quantitative and qualitative, explaining the processed table and tabulated data. The results showed that rural women with higher education had a greater contribution in increasing family income and reducing poverty, while women with less education had less contribution in the family and reducing poverty.Keywords: Role of Women, Income, Family Economy

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the agricultural sector and economic growth in a large Aceh district. The data used in this study is a series of time (time series) and are quantitative (Gujarati, 2006). The method used is Location Quotient, sampling using data from the Central Statistics Agency. The agriculture sub-sector is the base sector in Aceh Besar because it is from 2011-2016 that the agriculture sub-sector is higher than one. Where according to the model of the Location Quotient (LQ) if the number generated is greater than one then the subsector is base, then from this the agriculture subsector is the base subsector, while the forestry and fisheries subsector is the non-base subsector. The agricultural sector is very important in a large Aceh district therefore the government must take part in developing the agricultural sector one way to develop the agricultural sector is, by means of more support to make agro-tourism or agro-industry that can process and regulate the output of the sector.Keywords: Agriculture sector, Economic Growth, Gross Domestic Regional Product (GDRP), Location  Quatient (LQ).

Abstract

AbstractCentral Aceh has a large tourism potential but has not been utilized optimally. Therefore, thisstudy aims to examine the role of government in encouraging the development of creativeindustry tourism sector in central Aceh district. The data used in this research is the primarydata obtained through a live interview using a questionnaire. Total samples in this study as muchas 11 crafts souvenir business units. The results showed that the government has made severalefforts such as providing assistance, ease in business license management, provide professionalbusiness mentor, provide mentoring and also provide promotional facilities through the mediaElectronic and print media. Nevertheless, the confirmation from the entrepreneur is notappropriate. Therefore, there needs to be socialization from the government for creative industryentrepreneurs to make the results more maximal.Keywords: Tourism, Creative Industries, Government Policy.

Abstract

AbstractThis study deals with the Movement of the Rupiah Exchange Rate on Indonesian Exports and Imports with the aim of analyzing the effect of the movement of the Rupiah exchange rate on exports and imports in Indonesia. The variables used are the exchange rate, exports, imports and GDP with the OLS model and annual data for 1990-2017 sourced from the World Bank and the Federal Resereve Economic Data (FRED). The results showed that the exchange rate had a positive and significant relationship to Indonesia's net exports. GDP has a negative and significant effect on net exports. The government is advised to maintain exchange rate stabilization and control the flow of export and import activities in accordance with the movement of the rupiah exchange rate so that Indonesia's economic growth improves.Keywords: Exchange rates, exports, imports, GDP

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to analyse the demand for imported wines in West Aceh district. The type of data used is primary and secondary data. The population studied were residents of the district of Johan Pahlawan and samples were taken from Gampong Ujong Baroh, Rundeng and Seuneubok. The data analysis method used is a double linear regression method. The results showed that the prices of imported wines, revenues, and local wine prices were partially positively influential to the demand for imported grapes. The magnitude figure of the coefficient of adjusted determination (R2) is 0.686 meaning that the influence of the third free variable to the imported wine demand is 68.6 percent, while 31.4 percent is influenced by other variables outside the model. Government is able to issue a price policy that is easily reachable by all circles, and the efforts that the fruit traders can make to increase the purchase of imported grapes is to provide an affordable price so as to provide More benefits for the buyer.Keywords: Imported Wine Prices, Consumer Revenues, Local Wine Prices, Imported Wine Demand
