Abstract

Islam is a religion that has the principle of compassion for all nature (rahmatan lil ‘a> lami> n) and tolerance. The problem is, among the traditions of the Prophet Muhammad, there are some who outwardly appear intolerant of non-Muslims. This study aims to explain the concept of tolerance among adherents of religions in Islam, explaining the existence of intolerant traditions of adherents of religions in the pole of al-Tis'ah, and explaining the reinterpretation of these traditions. This research is a type of library research with a qualitative approach and deductive analysis techniques. The theory taken is ikhtilaf al-hadith, namely jam'u, tarjih and naskh by using the priority of jam'u through universal, temporal and local contextualization. The results of this study are First, Islam is a religion that upholds tolerance among religious people, as reflected in the verses of the Qur'an and hadith of the Prophet. Second, there are several intolerant traditions in the al-tis'ah pole, namely the rejection of co-existence, rejection of appreciation and rejection of co-existence. Third, the result of the reinterpretation is that the traditions that appear intolerant are temporal traditions.

Abstract

The Muslim guideline which is the main guide (hudan) for humans is the Qur'an. In the Qur'an of Allah Swt. many ordered humans to always use their minds (thinking, philosophizing). In the Qur'an there are also many verses that give encouragement to humans to always use and always develop their minds and hearts. The Koran encourages many people to think about the creation of the heavens, earth, humans, nature, plants, animals, and so on. The Qur'an strongly denounces those who behave taqli d and jumu> d to the inheritance of their ancestors so that they are reluctant to use their minds to think the truth and think freely in order to reach the truth. God's command is related to the command to use this mind, in line with a philosophy that uses reason. Thus, it is understandable that the Qur'an actually instructs humans to philosophize. In fact, the Qur’an has inspired the birth of philosophy. Therefore, it is understandable that many are born of Muslim thinkers (Philosophers) who are famous especially in classical times such as; al-Razi, Ibn Rushd, al-Ghaza>li>, and others.

Abstract

This article focus on investigation about practice of reciting Alquran perspective of living Quran and analysing social civilization. Living Quran is new approach for understanding sense of Quran with contextual concept. Practice of reciting Alquran which did by society is one of way to understand sense of Alquran. Research of living Quran be important because understanding and interpreting Alquran not only on library study facing texts of Alquran. Nevertheless, reception of society to practice of reciting Alquran is process an assembling and interpreting Alquran by context. Reception of Alquran theory and social civilization suitable for analysing of living Quran to find out social phenomenon related with presence of Alquran in certain community.

Abstract

Satan's identity is still a more attention in the lay and academics. The general definition of Satan is an attraction to be studied academically. The Qur'an is a little offensive to the word Satan with a mysterious creature. Some demonic definitions from the ulama almost met the meeting point, namely Satan is a creature that indicates negative or contrary to the teachings of Allah and His messenger. This study attempts to describe the word demon in the perspective of Anwa's interpretationr al-Tanzi l wa Asrar al-Ta'wil a work of Nasir al-Din Abi Sa'id 'Abdillah bin 'Umar bin Muhammad al-Shairazi al-Baid ulama who was born in Persia in 613 H and died in 691 H / 685 H by taking the word devil both singular and plural meaning and then interpreting the interpretation. Thus, the purpose of this study is to describe the meaning of Satan, both singular and plural meaning of the perspective of Imam al-Baidawi in Anwa's interpretationr al-Tanzil wa Asrar al-Ta'wil.

Abstract

Nisf Sha’ban has become a tradition in Indonesian society as a day when people flock to fill mosques, musala to read letters of Ya>si>n, prayer sunnah taubat, salawat, dhikr, read the Koran and so on, one of them at the Mosque of Miftahul Jannah, Rt.01 / Rw. 11, Desa. Sindang Pakuon, Kec. Cimanggung, Kab. Sumedang, so that the authors are interested in examining how the reading and reading of Sha’ba>n is improved by the community with a living approach to the Koran theory. The results of this study indicate that the tradition of Nisf Sha’ban in the hamlet of Cimande, the Mosque of Miftahul Jannah shows one form of reception of Islamic societies towards the Qur‘an. With this, the Qur‘an is not only a reading material, but also as a means to connect the relationship between fellow Cimande Hamlets, with the existence of traditions like this that have been ingrained when the Miftahul Jannah Mosque has been established, according to traditional writers. this kind is a model of Islamic Nusantara which is rich in tradition and culture.

Abstract

Humans are the most perfect creatures of Allah Swt. Every human has different fingerprints. Even for two people who are identical twins, they have the characteristics of fingerprints that are not the same. Therefore, fingerprints are used in identity cards that are very important for their owners and are used throughout the world. Previously, people valued fingerprints as ordinary arches without special meaning. But in the Qur'an, Allah gave references to fingerprints, which did not attract people's attention at that time, and direct attention to the importance of fingerprints, which can only be understood today. The method used in this study is literature review using content analysis techniques and the data sources in this study are books, thoughts, and writings related to the research object. The results of this study show that the Qur'an has stated that fingerprints are human identification. In the Qur'an, it is mentioned that it is easy for Allah to revive a human being after his death, which is specifically mentioned in the Qur'an, Surah al Qiyamah verses 3-4.

Abstract

In Islam, milk-relations has a law effect to getting marriage, forbidden to marry anyone who related to milk-relations, either vertical relations from milk-mother, such as mother of milk-mother, children of mother of milk-mother and children of milk-sibling, or horizontal relationship, such as siblings of milk-mother. The similarity between biological children and milk-children is not limited to text meaning but there is wisdom behind it. By using ma'an al-hadith method of Musahadi HAM,  it can be concluded that the quality of the hadith is sahih lighayrih, it is based on research conducted on some sanad of hadith. Marrying someone from milk-relations is haram and must be obeyed. This law is not temporary, but starts from appearance that hadith until now and the end of time.

Abstract

This paper is an academic step to discover a scientific fact through the study of hadith texts that legitimize the ideological truth of the HTI group. In generating radical thoughts, the HTI group has a main reference, a book entitled Nizam al-Hukm fi al-Islam, written by the founder of Hizb al-Tahrir, Taqiyuddin al-Nabhani. In this study, the themes of the hadiths discussed are those related to the khilafah (caliphs) contained in the book and in the sub-chapter of Al-Khilafah (the Caliphate). The book was chosen because it is the main reference book of HTI that cites hadiths which are textually radical. Some key points that become the objectives of this study are: (1) What is the status of the authenticity of khilafah  hadiths?, (2) How is the contextual understanding of khilafah hadiths?, and (3) What are the implications of HTI's understanding of khilafah hadiths in the context of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia?

Abstract

The culture of Hadidan is an amaliyah worship practice carried out in congregation aiming at wishing for blessings from the recitation. The Qur'an as a guide of life for Muslims and an authoritative source in the realm of social reality has developed in meaning. The development of meaning in the Al-Qur'an means the potential of the Qur'an itself which continues to be studied and preserved in the realms of theoretical and praxis. In the theoretical realm, the Qur’an continues to encounter a reconstruction of understanding. This reconstruction relates to the Qur’an itself, what surrounded the Qur’an when it descended and what the Qur’an contains itself. Those two things do not rule out the possibility for the Qur’an to continue to be developed with diverse fields of science, such as sociology, anthropology, history, and hermeneutics, as the approaches to discover the scientific values of the Qur’an. On the other hand, praxis studies examine how the verses of the Qur'an are understood and practiced. This research examines the reality of the community with the Qur'an, in terms of the community’s reception of recitation practice of  Surah al-Hadid’s verses which have magical and mystical powers. It is due to the fact that the verse practitioners of al-Hadid believe that the verses they read contain values that cannot be explained. Thus, the verses of the Qur'an come to live among the community, but only in the form of recitation and perception. This is tantamount to confining the substantial meanings that the verses contain when interpreted or takwil.

Abstract

There are many symbols that the writer found in Ngabdul Qodiran tradition which are not found in manaqiban and Shaykh 'Abdul Qodir al-Jailani's haul traditions, which all are the same practices in which their activities use the Wasilah to Shaykh' Abdul Qodir al -Jailani. There are a number of texts that distinguish them one to the others. In manaqiban, the texts read are the history of Shaykh 'Abdul Qodir which were written in the form of a story and syi'ir. In haul, the texts read are Surah Yasin and tahlil texts which are directly sent to the deceased. While in Ngabdul Qodiran tradition, the texts read are selected surahs and dzkir as asmaul husna. In addition, special dishes of Ngabdul Qodiran are inseparable in the series of Ngoddul Qodiran tradition; all of which have their own meanings and contain great wishes. In the phenomenon of Ngabdul Qodiran tradition, it is found that there are symbols which have their respective purposes.
