Abstract

The importance of the activity in foreign exchange occur as the result of the development of international trading and increased international money and capital movement. The vast development of international economic  caused  economic relationship  among  countries  will  be  linked  to  each other  and  subsequently improve trading activities in their goods, money and capital flows. The variables used in this study are spot, forward  and future  spot. Based  on  the result  of Regression  Estimation  applied in  hypothesis on foreign currencies exchange which done simultaneously are proven able to predict future spot. The investor and international economic  actor could use spot  exchange rate and forward  exchange rate as a  short terms predictor for the next trimester in 2011.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership, education and training, and work disciplineon employee performance. The research was conducted at the Regional Water Company Tirta Mangutama Badung regency. Study sample as many as 91 employees, and data analysis techniques of multiple linear regression.  The  results  show  that  leadership,  education  and  training,  and  discipline  of  employees simultaneously significant effect on employee performance. Partially leadership that leadership, educationand training, and discipline employees also have a significant effect on employee performance. These results can be interpreted that the presence of direction and good  communication between leaders and subordinates, materials and appropriate training schedule and not disrupt the work activities of employees, as well as a good level of attendance and low work error can improve employee performance

Abstract

This study empirically explores the influences of brand community on loyalty when mediated by satisfaction. The data on this research were collected from observation, interviews, and  questionnaires.Data analysis methods that used on this research were descriptive and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics such as frequency distributions were used to describes the  characteristics of the respondents, while inferential statisticssuch  as  Baron  and  Kenny  Steps  and  Sobel  test  is  used  to  test  the  hypotheses.  The  results  showed  that satisfaction partially mediates the effect of brand community on loyalty of Harley-Davidson users inDenpasar. It shows that satisfaction is an essential element for the brand community to realize the brand loya lty.

Abstract

This  study aimed  to  determine  the  effect  of  job   satisfaction  on  employee  performance,  employee  performance to customer satisfaction, and job satisfaction on customer satisfaction through employee performance. This study took place in hospitals-private hospital in Denpasar, sing hospital employees and patients as research respondents. Proof of this hypothesis using path analysis techniques.The results obtained  in  this  study  that  are:  1)  job  satisfaction  have  significant  positive  impact on  employeeperformance, 2) the performance of the employee significant positive effect on customer satisfaction, and 3) positively influence job satisfaction directly and indirectly through the employee’s performance to customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The aims of this study are investigating PT Bank Central Asia, Tbk. Kuta Branch positioning to its competitor in Bali;and superiority services of PT Bank Central Asia, Tbk. Kuta Branch based on customer perception and determining the best relevant marketing strategy for PT Bank Central Asia, Tbk. Kuta Branch to counter its  competitor.  The  data  will  be  analyzed  using  statistical  method  of  Multi  Dimensional  Scaling  and Correspondence analysis. The result of this study shows that BCA Kuta has similiarities with Mandiri, it means that Mandiri is the nearest competitor of BCA Kuta. BCA is superior in waiting time of teller services, ATM services, internet banking, and mobile banking.

Abstract

This study is an overview of the various ideas related to concepts and techniques of management from the industrial revolution to the modern era. In this article the various theory or thought are classified into four areas. The classification is not based on the periodicity of the year, but more to the realm of thought being developed. The four areas are (1)scientific & administrative management theory, (2)behavioral management theory, (3)quantitative management theory and (4)modern  management theory. The field thought is presented by the emergence of the field earlier than other areas of thought, though the period or era of the movement of thought one area may also appear a work that is part of another movement of thought. The results of  this literature review shows that the development of management thought started from mechanical related t hinking and productivity in manufacturing, and then progressed to studies related to nature and human behavi orand proceed to the field of relationship between human and organization systems. This study also found a lack of attention from management historians that focuses on marketing or customer orientation.

Abstract

This research was conducted by taking 100 respondents in the traditional markets of Denpasar traditional market. Data was collected using questionnaires. The variables measured from the sample consist of  evaluation of the beliefs, subjective norm and the influence on the intend to shop in traditional markets in Denpasar regency.  The results of regression analysis found that the evaluation of beliefs and subjective norms  affect consumers’ shopping intentions in a traditional market, in which subjective norms variable are more dominant affecting the spending intentions

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the transformational leadership style influence on employees job satisfaction and organizational commitment on PT. KPM. The sample in this study was 30 people and data were processed using Partial Least square (PLS). The results showed significant effect of transformationalleadership style on employee job satisfaction, employee  satisfaction significant influence on organizational commitment, and transformational leadership style indirect effect on organizational commitment. To foster employee  job  satisfaction  and  organizational  commitment,  the  company  needs  to  consider  the  needs  of employees as well as payment
