Abstract

Teaching practice is one of the main activities for the 6th semester students who are attending Microteaching class. Students have the opportunity to have teaching practice with their peers. They have to learn the basic skill in teaching and also learn how to speak in front of the class by applying the language classroom expression. To be a good teacher, they have to speak well in using the language classroom expression and when they speak well it will affect their teaching activity in class. Since speaking skill is very important in teaching, it is part of our interest to find out how well the students’ speaking skill in microteaching class. This paper will share the result of our observation and analysis on the students’ speaking skill by analyzing their competence in: 1) pronunciation 2) grammar, and 3) vocabulary. Twenty (20) students, as the sample, will be video recorded and then the records were analyzed based on those three components. It shows that intensive practice is still needed concerning with those three components as mentioned before. The result of this observation and analysis will be very important for the lecturers to consider when they teach microteaching class.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, social media plays a great role in influencing students’ development. This influence tends to be a negative impact in which they easily imitate some negative actions such as doing student brawls, using and selling drugs, committing criminal acts, etc. These negative attitudes need to be handled and anticipated. One that can be proposed to overcome this problem is through the character education program. This program can be inserted into the Civics subject at school in which the Civics teachers play the main role as the leader of this character education. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang. The results of the study show that the efforts of Civics teachers in shaping the character of students at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang are making learning devices in which there are character values, through active learning, in learning activities character values are inserted, Civics teachers become models and make themselves examples. for students as teachers of character. Some of them are such as emphasizing approaches to students through good communication with students, through independent assignments outside school hours by observing problems that are developing in the community so that students have concern for the surrounding environment and become critical in solving a problem. In addition, Civics teachers emphasize discipline to students.

Abstract

This study aims to improve fine motor skills through painting activities in group A TK Mardisiwi II Tuksongo, Pringsurat District. This type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were 25 children of group A TK Mardisiwi II Tuksongo, Pringsurat District, consisting of 12 boys and 13 girls. The research was carried out in August s.d. October 2018/2019 school year. Data collection techniques using observation sheets and observation tools in the form of photos. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that through painting activities with various media can improve the fine motor skills of early childhood. In the first cycle of the first meeting with the BSH criteria there were 3 children if the percentage was 12%, the MB criteria were 12 children or 48%, while the BB criteria were 10 children with a percentage of 40%. At the second meeting of the BSH criteria there were 13 children or about 52%, the MB criteria were 12 children or 48%, and there were no more children with BB criteria. In Cycle II, the first meeting with the BSH criteria was 21 children if the percentage was 84%, the MB criteria were 4 children or 16%, while the BB criteria were not there.

Abstract

In studying science, scientific thinking and modeling are needed, with this model development exercise students can have the ability to describe or skills in communicating a target or material according to their creativity and innovation. Nature of Models (NoM) are the properties that exist in the model. This study aims to determine the understanding of the Nature of Models of students who specialize in Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Senior High Schools in Brebes Regency on the aspects of Testing Models and Purpose of Models. The subjects in the study were 334 grade XI students of SMA Negeri in Brebes. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The instruments used were observation sheets, interviews and tests of understanding of Nature of Models (NoM). The results showed that the students' understanding of Nature of Models in the Testing Models aspect was lower with an average value of 44.15 compared to the Purpose of Models aspect with an average score of 69.86. The factors that influence students 'understanding of the Nature of Models are the use of models as less varied media, teacher learning models that do not develop students' modeling skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this classroom action research is to increase participation and science learning outcomes on the concept of the Life Organization System through the Scientific approach of the Crossword Puzzle model for class VIIA SMP N13 Tegal students in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year, namely learning by using crossword puzzles (TTS) as tools used to embed science concepts. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 3 meetings. The data collection method that will be used is observation, and activity documentation. The results of the analysis of student participation in the first cycle is 31.25% in the second cycle is 90.63%. And the analysis of student learning outcomes in the first cycle is 65.63% and the second cycle is 87.50%. Classically, this research is said to be successful because the participation and learning outcomes are above the minimum specified criteria, namely 85% active and 85% of students complete learning.

Abstract

Currently the world is facing a big problem, namely the emergence of corona virus disease (covid-19), the entry of this virus inhibits all human activities, including in the field of education. Based on interviews with teachers of computer subjects and basic networks, the subject of computer assembly in the learning process is still hampered by time when learning theory during the Covid-19 period, the application of current learning is using whatsapp groups, where the teacher provides material files and assignments. Online learning with this whatsapp group is considered less than optimal from both teachers and students resulting in students having difficulty understanding the material, based on these problems a solution is given by developing learning media with the name "SIWANI". The objectives of this research are: 1) to build SIWANI as a learning media for computer assembly; 2) determine the feasibility of SIWANI as a learning media for computer assembly; 3) knowing students' responses to SIWANI as a learning media for computer assembly. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. The results showed that the material expert feasibility test obtained an average of 85% with a very feasible category. While the feasibility test by media experts obtained an average percentage of 81% with a very feasible category. While student responses obtained an average percentage of 83% with a very high category.

Abstract

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 brings challenges for educators to improve learning. In the 21st century learning framework requires easy generations to have skills and knowledge in the field of technology. Especially during the current covid-19 pandemic,itrequirs generations to utilize Information Technology and Communication in the learning proces. This study aims to discuss issues realated to the use of Information and Communication Technology in improving education in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research methodology used is a qualitative research type through library research which is interpreted to produce information in the form of knowledge.The results of the discussion of this research show that Information and Communication Thechnology has a major influence in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Ministry of Education issues a policy with distance learning (online) with the From Work Home System. Information and Communication Technology has several benefits including:(1) increasing student motivation;(2) Gaining insight from the horizon of thinking;(3) Fostering a spirit of togetherness;(4) Effektive and efficient digital portfolios;(5) Being a measuring tool used at school. The application in the online learning process are: Zoom application,google Hangouts application,whatsapp application,teacher room application,zenius learning application, and e-learning application.Learning media used to improve distance learning process (online) such as:internet,e-learning,e-mail,PowerPoint, and learning CDs. By utilizing learning media and application like this,it is easy for generations to have skills and abilities in terms of using and utilizing Information anf Communication Technology properly.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the need for module development in Learning Computer Network Installation and Basic Networking Courses in Class X SMK TKJ SMK Sentosa Bhakti Baturaja. The type of research used is survey research using interview sheets and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. Based on the results of the study obtained data that 100% of the class X TKJ SMK Sentosa Bhakti Baturaja only use teaching materials in the form of textbooks. 50% of students stated that they needed teaching materials in the form of modules to be used as independent teaching materials for computer network installation learning support. This becomes the basis or consideration for the decision to do the development of module teaching materials in learning Computer Network Installation for Computer and Basic Networking Courses.

Abstract

The skills that must be possesed by students of the Automation and Governance (OAG) competency are making document with predetermined standards. OAG students have not been able to meet the time standard and the number of errors in making documents. The author combines a ten-finger typing system with a blind typing system using the Typing Master application. PROMES THOUSAND ATM is an acronym for Ten Finger Blind System Typing Program Using Typing Master Application. This program has been implemented since the 2016/2017 academic year at SMK Negeri 2 Tegal. Through this learning strategy, students can create documents according to standards. It is proven by the increase in learning outcomes for Office Technology subjects, PKL scores and UKK OTKP scores. With an average learning completeness of 91.09%, an increase in the value of street vendors by 90.59% and the achievement of the UKK score with an average of 91 on the task of making documents.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the creativity and scientific work skills of Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Ampelgading on the concepts of acid, base and salt. This study uses a test method, the determination of the sample is class VII a number of 32 students, creativity from the category of not creative, less creative, creative and very creative respectively at 6.65%; 39.57%; 53.78%; 0.00%. In the analysis of scientific work skills data from the unskilled, less skilled, skilled and highly skilled categories respectively 4.63%; 38.52%; 55.55%; 1.3%. There is a difference in the presentation between students' creativity and scientific work skills.
