Abstract

This article is intended to explain the issue of radical stigmatization of the pattern of Islamic education, especially Islamic boarding schools. The pattern of pesantren education tends to be suspected of being radical since several ustadz and the administrators of the pesantren have become suspects in the national terrorist case. The widespread issue of links between terrorism and Islamic boarding schools encourages a review of how education and teaching are carried out in Islamic boarding schools. So far, pesantren have been suspected of being educational institutions that support radical values. This study uses a phenomenological qualitative approach with a focus on critical pedagogy as to why there is a radical stigmatization of Islamic boarding schools. The results of the study reveal several aspects of Islamic boarding schools which are indicators of radical stigmatization in these Islamic boarding schools, including curriculum, exclusive religious understanding and attitudes, and learning processes that tend to be indoctrinated.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore the leadership process of a school principal to increase the principal's creative innovation at SMP 1 Muhammadiyah Surakarta and the obstacles encountered in the practice of school innovation. This research is a field research (field research). The author uses a type of field research, namely a phenomenological qualitative approach using data collection methods, observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study seek the integration of all activities so as to be able to produce synergies to achieve efficient, effective and objective school goals. There are many excellent programs provided by school principals through their innovations at SMP 1 Muhammadiyah Surakarta in the form of Tahfidzul Quran, Memorization of the Qur'an, Memorization of Tajwid, Shirohnabawiyah. In practice, there are obstacles that are made to answer innovation problems, the student factor is the limited facilities in schools that are incomplete and there is no support from the local community and parents to carry out school innovation practices and there are limited insights, and narrow mindsets and lack of qualifications are obstacles in the application of innovation parquetk applied by the school principal. The Principal has an important role as an innovator. There needs to be support from the Principal in making improvements, and education staff must support and provide guidance so that they can develop optimally in carrying out the tasks that are their respective burdens. What is meant by creative is that in improving the professionalism of an educator, the principal must look for new ideas and ways of doing his job.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the problem solving learning model on the problem-solving ability of grade III students of SDN Gedawang 01 Semarang. This type of research is quantitative research with a problem solving learning model using interactive videos. The population in this study was grade III SDN Gedawang 01 and grade III SDN Gedawang 02 Semarang totaled 56 students. Meanwhile, the sample, namely class III SDN Gedawang 01, was 28 students. Data collection techniques in the form of observations, questionnaires, interviews and tests. The technical data analysis used is the Independent Test sample T-test and the Simple Linear Regression Test. The results showed that: there was a difference in the average problem solving ability of students between the control class and the experimental class, which can be seen from 1) Independent Test T-test sample and obtained thitung ttabel (3.83 2.13) with a sig value. (2 -tailed) i.e. 0.0010.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. 2) There is an effectiveness of interactive video-assisted problem solving learning models, which can be seen from the Simple Linear Regression Test and obtained a signification level of F 67.195, sig:0.000a 0.05. So it can be concluded that the interactive video-assisted problem solving learning model is effectively used to improve the problem-solving ability of grade III students of SDN Gedawang 01 Semarang.

Abstract

Character education at SDN Simbangdesa 01 Batang Regency has not been going well, this is evidenced by the many cases of child delinquency that occur in the area, for example, children are less disciplined in flag ceremony activities, are less sporty in sports and arts activities, are less honest in their activities. academically, the child's sense of selfishness is still high, the lack of a culture of helping others. The non-optimal cultivation of character education within the scope of the academic community in Indonesia can result in a weak leader character which is associated with the increasing prevalence of corruption, chaos in the urban planning system, poor health services, loss of sense of justice, education that increasingly loses a compassionate conscience and is oriented towards noble character and other things. others that are not good for the mental development of students. The research is focused on integrated character development with Scouting extracurricular programs, pioneering activities for students at SDN Simbangdesa 01 especially grade 5 and grade 6 with project-based learning. The program at the school is designed to develop 18 character values that are focused on the character of responsibility, discipline, independence, and creativity in extracurricular activities of Pioneering Scouts. Extracurricular Scouting Pioneering can shape the character of students with the Pancasila profile. Project-based learning here is a forum that is deliberately prepared for students to carry out program projects that are assigned to them. Project-based learning expects students to be able to make decisions and create a framework in which problems whose solutions are not predetermined, design processes to achieve results, are responsible for obtaining and managing the information collected, carry out continuous evaluations, regularly review what they are doing. , the final result is a product and is evaluated for quality, and the class has an atmosphere that tolerates faults and changes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the practicality, and effectiveness of ethnophotography-based teaching materials in social studies learning in elementary schools. This research is research and development by adopting the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The analysis phase includes an initial needs analysis. The design stage includes closing, instructions for use, table of contents, mapping of Basic Competencies, general knowledge, introduction, presentation, exercises, glossary, answer keys and table of contents. The development stage is making teaching materials covering aspects, content of material, validation and display of production of ethnophotography-based teaching materials, development of instrument data. The data collection instruments in this study were the feasibility of lecturers, practicality sheets for subject teachers and peers, student readability sheets, pretest and posttest questions for student learning outcomes. The data collection instrument is based on the learning of the supervisor, assessment by experts, subject teachers, peers and student trials. The implementation phase of the use of teaching materials that have been developed for fourth grade students at SDN Karangasem 13. The trials carried out at this stage were product feasibility tests, readability, and pretest posttests for fourth grade students, with the results showing an increase in learning outcomes after students used ethnophotography-based teaching materials. evidenced by the n-gain value of 0.49 in the medium category. The evaluation stage includes the form of evaluation carried out at each stage of the ADDIE model. The data analysis technique used is the manova test and n-gain. The results showed that the ethnophotography teaching materials developed were suitable for use in social studies learning. The ethnophotography teaching materials are practical to use, and effective to improve the learning outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract

This research and development was motivated by the low reading skills of the first graders of SDN Sumurbanger 02 based on observations and interviews with classroom teachers. This study aims to produce bandicam screen recording media to improve early reading skills. The type of research used is ADDIE development research (analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). developed by Dick and Carry. The purpose of this development research is to produce video-based learning media products from the bandicam application that are valid, practical, and effective to improve early reading skills in class I SDN Sumurbanger 02. The instruments used in data collection are media expert validation sheets, material expert validation sheets, teacher and student legibility sheets, pre-test and post-test questions. The results of the media expert validity test got an average score of 82 with an interval of X > 79.86 with a very good category. The results of the material expert validity test got an average score of 38.5 with an interval of X > 37.8 with a very good category. The results of the practicality test based on student responses got an average score of 23 with an interval of X > 21 with a very good category. The results of the practicality test based on the teacher's response got an average score of 47.7 with an interval of X > 42.06. The effectiveness of the bandicam screen recording media was tested valid based on the t-test got a sig (2-tailed) of 0.000 so that Ho was rejected, while the average N-Gain was 0.30 in the moderate increase category. It can be concluded that the bandicam screen recording media is proven to be valid and feasible to use in learning.

Abstract

Learning models and strategies are important in education in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of applying the JIGSAW learning model assisted by flashcards with a realistic approach to improve problem solving skills at SDN 1 Wanglu. The research method used is a research approach using a quantitative approach. The type of research used is purposive sampling using non-probability sampling techniques. The results showed that the experimental class by applying the JIGSAW learning model assisted by flashcards with a realistic approach was better than the control class, it was proven that most of the students were no longer familiar with problem-solving questions in science learning, students' problem-solving abilities were maximized, this was expressed by learning Science which was originally rote and now has been overcome by applying the JIGSAW learning model assisted by flashcards with a realistic approach, so that students really pay attention to the learning process. the JIGSAW learning model has proven that aspects of problem-solving ability in science learning are included in the learning implementation plan (RPP), the textbooks used already show a balanced proportion of problem-solving stages categories. So it can be concluded that there is an effectiveness of the flashcard assisted JIGSAW learning model with a realistic approach to improve students' problem solving abilities.

Abstract

The ability of civics and social studies teachers at Assisted F Middle School Semarang City in compiling differentiated teaching modules has not been optimal. Before the guidance and assistance, the average ability was 53%. The research procedure used in this study is School Action Research. The procedure or steps are carried out through 2 cycles of action. The results in cycle I averaged the ability to compile differentiated teaching modules, increased by 12% from 53% increased to 65%. There were 63.3% of civics teachers and social studies teachers at Assisted F Junior High Schools who experienced an increase in the ability of the good category in compiling teaching modules dedifferentiation. The average level of enjoyment (student wellbeing) of civics teachers and Social Studies teachers F reached 67%. The average ability to compile teaching modules in cycle II increased by 12% from 65% to 78%, including the good category. There are 83.3% of civics and social studies teachers who have good abilities in compiling differentiated teaching modules, including the good category. Guidance and assistance through workshops, mentoring guidance to small groups and individuals running smoothly can improve the ability and motivation of civic and social studies teachers at Assisted F Middle School Semarang City. in compiling differentiated teaching modules.

Abstract

Learning media is one of the important components used in learning activities. Good learning media can help students achieve competence. Based on observations, it is known that the multiliteracy abilities of group B students of TK Masyitoh Karangasem Batang such as: the ability to read, write and count are not maximized, teachers in providing learning still use conventional methods, as a result many students experience boredom and boredom. boredom is a natural thing especially learning that tends to be monotonous. The feeling of boredom and saturation that comes is not good and will greatly affect the learning process of students. If you are bored then someone will be lazy to do it. If the feeling of laziness in learning is left longer, the result is that the achievement and academic value of students will certainly decrease.This study aims to describe the validity of the make and match board which was developed as a medium for mastering multiliteracy for kindergarten students. describe the practicality of the make and match board which was developed as a medium for mastering multiliteracy for kindergarten students.This study uses a 4D development research approach adapted from the Thiagarajan and Semmel development model with 3 steps: 1) Define (defining); (2) Design (design); (3) Develop (development). Data collection techniques were carried out by tests, observations, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses product data analysis, initial data analysis, t test and gain test.The results showed that the make and match board was feasible to use with the results of the validity test using aiken V in the medium and high categories and the reliability test in the strong category. make and match boards are feasible to be effectively used in learning, it is known that based on learning outcomes there is an average difference through the t test of -10.578 and an average increase (gain) of 0.535 which based on the interpretation of the gain index is classified as moderate.The conclusion of this research is that the make and match board is feasible and effective to use in learning, especially in mastering multi-literacy materials to explore new knowledge from the make and match board media. Teachers are expected to be able to develop make and match boards that are similar to different materials, and the school is expected to facilitate.

Abstract

This development research aims to determine the validity and reliability of the critical thinking instrument for fifth grade elementary school students on the use of traditional game-based SIGUPIS media (Elementary Social Learning Song Creation). The assessment instrument developed was in the form of a questionnaire. The research subjects consisted of 3 validators and 20 fifth grade elementary school students. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire or questionnaire technique. The data collected is in the form of data on the validity and reliability of critical thinking instruments. Data on the development of critical thinking instruments obtained through the validity test were analyzed with Aiken's v, while the data from the reliability test were analyzed with Kappa Statistics using SPSS version 16. The results showed that the validity test by the validator obtained the results of the ten statements used belonging to the high category so that the instrument is suitable for use. The reliability test shows that the alpha value is 0.967 so that the reliability of the instrument is included in the very high category. Based on the results of this study, the questionnaire instrument to find out the critical thinking of fifth grade elementary school students in utilizing SIGUPIS media based on traditional games is feasible to use.
