Abstract

Penelitian Pemanfaatan Limbah Sayur Kubis Brassica oleracea dan Buah Pepaya Carica papaya Sebagai Pakan Cacing Tanah Lumbricus rubellus sudah dilakukan selama dua bulan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan cacing tanah pada tiga jenis pakan yaitu kotoran sapi, limbah sayur kubis, dan limbah buah papaya. Limbah sayur kubis dan limbah buah papaya difermentasikan selama tujuh hari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL), tiga perlakuan dan lima ulangan. Pengamatan dilakukan setiap dua minggu selama delapan minggu. Data dianalisis dengan analisis varians (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan dari limbah buah pepaya mempunyai nilai pertumbuhan berat 0.16 – 0.20 g, limbah sayur kubis dengan berat 0.12-0.14 g, dan kotoran sapi dengan berat 0.10 – 0.12 g. Pertumbuhan panjang dari limbah buah pepaya yaitu 0.9 -1.2 cm, limbah sayur kubis dengan panjang 0.89 – 0.99 cm, dan kotoran sapi 0.63 – 0.90 cm. Penggunaan limbah buah pepaya memberikan hasil terbaik dengan pertumbuhan berat 0.16 – 0.20 g dan panjang 0.9 -1.2 cm. Kata Kunci : Cacing Tanah, Limbah Kubis, Buah Pepaya, Pertumbuhan.

Abstract

The research aimed to improve student’s questioning ability and communication activness through of  Inquiry model. The research was a Classroom Action Research that performed within 3 cycles used  Inquiry model. The research partisipans were 38students of XI IPA 4 SMA N Karangpandan academic year 2015/2016. The validity of the data used technique of triangulation method. The research used qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The  research result showed improvement of students’s quantity question from71 questions in cycle I to 72 questions in cycle II, and 108 questions in cycle III. Student’s question quality improved from C1 to C4 in the kognitif level of thingking. Improvement in each indicator of communication activeness showed 44,08% in listening teacher during class, 43,41% in listening peer presentation during class, 61,84% in answering question asked by teacher or friend, 46,05% in asking question during class, and 63,15% in giving opinion during discussion.The conclusion of the research showed improvement of student’s questioning ability and communication activness through Guided Inquiry model.

Abstract

ABSTRACT- The purpose of this research is to know the comparison of problem based learning models with Guided discovery learning to activities of students of X grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngawi in academic year 2013/2014. This study was a quasi experimental research. The research design was used post-test only nonequivalent control group design. This research applied problem based learning models and Guided Discovery Learning at experimental group. The population of this research was all of X grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngawi in academic year 2013/2014. Sampling techniques used cluster sampling that choosed X MIPA 4 experiment group I and X MIPA 6 as Experiment group II. Techniques of collecting data were test and non-test methods. The test method examination test. The non-test method included observation of activities student and documentation.  The hypotheses analyzed by t-test. This research concluded that there are differences activities of student to application of problem based learning and Guided Discovery Learning of grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngawi in academic year 2013/2014.Keywords : activities., problem based learning., Guided discovery learning.

Abstract

Media pembibitan merupakan faktor eksternal yang juga menentukan pertumbuhan bibit tanaman. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis kandungan N,P, K, porosita,s dan pertumbuhan bibit sengon Paraserianthes falcataria (L) Nielsen pada 5 macam media pembibitan. Media pembibitan dibuat dari tanah ultisol dicampur sekam padi atau serbuk gergaji dengan takaran berbeda lalu diinkubasi selama 30 hari. Hasil analisis kandungan N total  media M1 yaitu 0.18% (kategori rendah); media M2, M3, M4 dan M5, berkisar antara 0.20-0.50% (kategori sedang). Kandungan P media M1 yaitu 13.98 mg/kg  (kategori rendah); media M2, M3, M4 dan M5,  berkisar antara 26-35 mg/kg (kategori tinggi).  Kandungan K semua media berkisar antara 9.68-18.63 me/100g (kategori tinggi).  Porositas media M1= 52%; M2=66%; M3 = 84%; M4 = 75% dan M5 =71%.  Hasil analisis pertumbuhan bibit sengon P. falcataria (L) Nielsen pada 5 media pembibitan yaitu: tinggi = 12.3-17.5 cm; diameter batang = 0.65-0.85 cm; jumlah daun = 110–140 helai dan panjang akar = 9.0–14.3 cm. Media pembibitan M3 berbahan tanah ultisol 50% dan sekam padi 50% menghasilkan kandungan N sedang, kandungan P dan K tinggi, porositas tertinggi, dan menghasilkan  pertumbuhan bibit sengon P. falcataria (L) Nielsen terbaik.

Abstract

Marine water which has been polluted by heavy metals such as lead (Pb) from port activities can affect marine life, however several microorganisms are able to adapt in polluted waters due to their resistant capabilities. The research aimed to obtain isolates bacterial which are resistant to Pb and to test their resistant ability. Bacterial isolation was obtained from sediment and seawater taken in Paotere Port, Makassar. The isolation of the resistant bacteria was done using nutrient agar media which contained 10 ppm of Pb. The growth of the bacteria was initially observed macroscopically and microscopically to determine type of the colony. Resistant test for each type of isolate was done by inoculating them on nutrient broth media which contained different concentration of Pb: 5 ppm, 10 ppm, 15 ppm, 20 ppm, 25 ppm, and a control. The test resulted in eight different isolates, five isolates from sediment samples and three from seawater samples. The results showed that each isolate has different degree of resistant toward Pb. Isolate IA1 has the higher resistant ability, and it was followed by isolate IS5.---Perairan laut tercemar logam berat timbal (Pb), yang bersumber dari aktifitas pelabuhan, dapat mengganggu kehidupan biota laut, namun sejumlah mikrorganisme mampu beradaptasi karena memiliki kemampuan resistan.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh isolat bakteri yang resistan terhadap Pb dan menguji kemampuan resistansinya. Isolasi bakteri diperoleh dari sampel sedimen dan air laut dari Pelabuhan Paotere, Makassar.Untuk isolasi bakteri resistan menggunakan media nutrient agar yang megandung 10 ppm Pb. Bakteri yang tumbuh diamati secara makropskopis dan mikroskopis sebagai pendekatan awal untuk mengetahui jenis isolat. Uji resistansi dilakukan untuk setiap jenis isolat, yang diinokulasikan pada media nutrient broth pada konsentrasi Pb sebesar 5 ppm, 10 ppm, 15 ppm. 20 ppm, 25 ppm dan 0 ppm sebagai kontrol.  Hasilnya, diperoleh delapan jenis isolat yang berbeda, yaitu lima jenis isolat dari sampel sedimen dan tiga dari sampel air laut. Dari hasil uji memperlihatkan, bahwa setiap isolat memiliki kemampuan resistansi berbeda-beda terhadap Pb. Isolat IA1 kemampuan resistansinya lebih tinggi, kemudian isolat IS5.

Abstract

Hot water temperature can be a place for the development of thermophilic bacteria. Thermophilic bacteria produce thermostable enzymes which are needed in various industrial fields such as agriculture, food, detergent, pharmacology, and bioremediation agents. This study aims to isolate and characterize potential proteolytic and amylolytic bacteria from the Bayanan hot spring. Samples were collected from two distinct locations within the geothermal environment: the hot spring source itself and the associated water storage pools. The collected samples underwent a dilution and isolation process to obtain pure bacterial cultures. Subsequently, these isolates were inoculated onto selective media, including skim milk agar (SMA) and nutrient agar (NA), to assess their proteolytic and amylolytic activities, respectively. The presence and extent of these enzymatic activities were determined by measuring the diameter of the clear zone surrounding each bacterial colony. The analysis revealed the presence of eight proteolytic bacterial isolates and twenty amylolytic isolates. Notably, a hydrolysis index threshold of ≥2.5 was implemented to identify isolates with high potential for proteolytic and amylolytic activity. Based on this criterion, two proteolytic bacterial isolates (codes B2-12-C3 and B1-12-B3) exhibited a proteolytic index exceeding 2.5. Furthermore, eight amylolytic isolates displayed an index above 2.5 (codes B1-10-A1, B1-10-A3, B2-8-A1, B2-8-A2, B2-10-A1, B2-10-A2, B2-12-C1, and B2-12-C2). These isolates, particularly those with high hydrolysis index values, has potential as bioremediation agents due to their demonstrated ability to efficiently hydrolyze proteins and starches.

Abstract

The ability of civics and social studies teachers at Assisted F Middle School Semarang City in compiling differentiated teaching modules has not been optimal. Before the guidance and assistance, the average ability was 53%. The research procedure used in this study is School Action Research. The procedure or steps are carried out through 2 cycles of action. The results in cycle I averaged the ability to compile differentiated teaching modules, increased by 12% from 53% increased to 65%. There were 63.3% of civics teachers and social studies teachers at Assisted F Junior High Schools who experienced an increase in the ability of the good category in compiling teaching modules dedifferentiation. The average level of enjoyment (student wellbeing) of civics teachers and Social Studies teachers F reached 67%. The average ability to compile teaching modules in cycle II increased by 12% from 65% to 78%, including the good category. There are 83.3% of civics and social studies teachers who have good abilities in compiling differentiated teaching modules, including the good category. Guidance and assistance through workshops, mentoring guidance to small groups and individuals running smoothly can improve the ability and motivation of civic and social studies teachers at Assisted F Middle School Semarang City. in compiling differentiated teaching modules.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah mempengaruhi domain pendidikan dalam skala global. Tantangannya adalah bagaimana menyesuaikan pelaksanaan microteaching agar dapat dilaksanakan secara daring dan luring terbatas pada Era New Normal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kesesuaian perencanaan, proses pembelajaran dan penilaiannya, serta hasil belajar mahasiswa pada pembelajaran microteaching. Evaluasi dilaksanakan dengan Model Countenance Stake. Pembelajaran microteaching berhasil dilaksanakan dengan baik di era new normal. pada tahap anteseden (perencanaan pembelajaran dan fasilitas) diperoleh persentase sebesar 91,3%, tahap transaksi (pelaksanaan pembelajaran) diperoleh persentase 86,2%, dan pada outcome (penilaian hasil belajar) diperoleh persentase 100% lulus. Penggunaan tiga metode yaitu daring, luring dan asinkronus mendapatkan respon positif dari mahasiswa. Yang menarik, sesi microteaching yang paling dipilih mahasiswa adalah daring, sedangkan secara luring menempati urutan kedua. Pada pembelajaran microteaching selanjutnya, pasca pandemi pembelajaran luring, disarankan menggunakan dua metode yaitu luring dan daring. Mahasiswa perlu disiapkan untuk transformasi preferensi pembelajaran daring di masa depan dengan teknologi yang lebih maju. Walaupun praktik luring akan tetap memegang porsi yang lebih besar.

Abstract

Biotechnology is often seen as a difficult topic to be understood by students due to the prevalence of foreign terms and complex concepts. Therefore, a suitable, effective, and engaging learning method is essential. This research aims to determine an engaging learning method, namely role-playing, to enhance students’ communication skills and creativity. This role-playing learning method is integrated with the discovery learning model. This research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental model. This study used instruments in the form two types of post test questions, namely questions to determine communication skills and questions to determine student creativity after the experiment was conducted. Distributed in two classes used after two learning meetings in class. These results indicate the differences in communication skills and student creativity before and after the application of the role-playing learning method. The results indicate that the application of role-playing learning can facilitate the development of students’ communication skills and creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive website based on the science process skill ‘Bioenial’ on Environmental Pollution material for grade X SMA/MA and identify the achievement of science process skills in the use of the 'Bioenial' website. This study was designed based on the Research & Development design from the Thiagarajan 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). The instruments used in this study were media and material expert validation sheets, student worksheets, and student and teacher response sheets. The analysis technique used the Rasch analysis. The results showed that (1) the Feasibility of the 'Bioenial' website, the average percentage score of validity obtained from the three media experts was 97,4% that within the "Very Eligible" category, and the percentage score from the material experts was 76.6% or within the "Eligible" category. The 'Bioenial' website was tested in a class of 32 students and on two biology teachers. The results of student responses according to the person measure obtained a mean of 85.5, meaning that the website is "Eligible" to use. The results of the teacher's response show that the Bioenial website is "Appropriate" for learning. (2) Science process skills can be developed on environmental pollution materials with the 'Bioenial' website observing, classifying, predicting, communicating, designing, and conducting experiments. Assessment of the skills of conducting experiments is unlikely during the distance learning period due to the difficulty to provide evaluations. Based on the study results, further research is needed to determine the effectiveness of the 'Bioenial' website in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes.
