Abstract

Android is an operating system for Linux based smartphone. Android provides an open platform for the developers to create their own application. The most developed and used application now is location based application. This application gives personalization service for mobile device user and is customized to their location. Location based service also gives an opportunity for the developers to develop and increase the value of service. One of the technologies that could be combined with location based application is augmented reality. Augmented reality combines the virtual world with the real one. By the assistance of augmented reality, our surrounding environment could interact in digital form. Information of objects and environment surround us could be added to the augmented reality system and presented. Based on the background, the writers tried to implement those technologies on now rapidly developing android application as a final project to achieve bachelor degree in Department of Informatics Engineering, Faculty of Information Technology and Visual Communication, Al Kamal Science and Technology Institute. This application could be functioned to locate school by using location based service technology with the assistance of navigational applications such as waze and google maps, in form of live direction process through the smartphone

Abstract

Penghitungan usia kehamilan dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara. Namun hasil evaluasi kompetensi penghitungan usia kehamilan, taksiran persalinan di prodi kebidanan unsika pada tahun 2016 masih rendah yaitu baru mencapai 20%. Kelemahan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengidentifikasi usia kehamilan juga didapatkan berdasarkan laporan dari lahan praktik mahasiswa prodi Kebidanan Unsika. Melihat data dan laporan tersebut penulis melakukan penelitian dengan membuat aplikasi berisi kalender kahamilan pada smartphone OS Android. Aplikasi kalendar kehamilan tersebut dirancang untuk mempermudah tenaga kesehatan dan calon tenaga kesehatan pemberi pelayanan kehamilan dalam menghitung usia kehamilan, taksiran kehamilan, dan juga membantu ibu hamil untuk mengontrol kehamilannya

Abstract

Media Pembelajaran memiliki peranan yang sangat penting pada proses perkuliahan. Media Pembelajaran yang digunakan pada mata kuliah Manajemen Proyek IT sub materi Metodologi Manajemen Proyek pada Sekolah Tinggi Manajemen Informatika dan Komputer (STMIK) PalComTech Palembang masih menggunakan modul yang didapat dari worksheet, dosen menggunakan metode ceramah dalam menjelaskan materi metodologi manajemen proyek. Metode ceramah masih memiliki kelemahan sehingga diperlukan pengembangan media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) dengan enam tahapan yaitu: konsep (Concept), perancangan (Desain), pengumpulan bahan(Material Collecting), pembuatan (Assembly), pengujian(Testing), dan distribusi (Distribution). Tujuan penelitian yaitu membuat media pembelajaran interaktif mata kuliah manajemen proyek, sub materi  metodologi Manajemen Proyek yang berisikan tentang tahapan inisiasi, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengawasan dan penutupan, serta dokumen-dokumen yang diperlukan dalam pembangunan proyek IT. Manfaat yang diharapkan adalah media pembelajaran ini dapat menjadi alat bantu dalam proses perkuliahan manajemen proyek yang ada di STMIK Palcomtech. Aplikasi sudah diuji melalui blackbox testing, dengan hasil pengujian semua indikator dinyatakan baik

Abstract

This research aims to develop a virtual lab application with oscillation concept. Oscillation concept in this application is described as pendulum motion. The application was developed by using the ADDIE model and Easy Java Simulations (EJSs) software. It has advantages compared with similar applications, which has a damping coefficient that similar with real world condition. Some other features of the application are the users can run and pause the simulation, observe the details of changes in pendulum movement angle by using step forward button, users can change pendulum mass, adjust the length of the rope, gravitational force, initial angle, damping coefficient, and can observe the change of pendulum angular position in parabolic graphs in real-time. The application was tested using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) concept. Based on the research results, the user satisfaction level is categorized as very useful. Therefore, it can be conclude that the application can be accepted and used well by the user.

Abstract

Berikut adalah paragraf yang sudah dirapikan: Traffic congestion in big cities in Indonesia is unavoidable, especially in Jakarta. The increasing number of vehicles and the lack of public transportation are the main causes of traffic congestion in Jakarta. It disturbs people's activities. The government has already made various efforts to resolve the congestion problem; however, it requires high installation and maintenance costs and takes time to be implemented. People often complain about traffic congestion in Jakarta by posting on Twitter, which are called tweets. Every tweet posted is saved in the Twitter API and used for sentiment analysis. It analyzes the emotions of the users. Based on these problems, we conducted research on how to detect traffic congestion in Jakarta. Therefore, we tried to create a Congestion Detection App. We designed the app using UML diagrams. The Congestion Detection App is connected with Hadoop, Flume, Hive, and Derby. The app streams Twitter data collected by connecting with the Twitter API. This app is a Java-based application that can create and view data tables. It performs searches on tweets by ID and analyzes traffic conditions in specific regions in Jakarta. The app performs sentiment analysis on certain tweets and displays the results based on the data tables. The result of the research compares data from the Congestion Detection App with data from Google Maps. We made three value categories consisting of three colors: green for less traffic congestion with a value of 1, orange for medium-scale traffic congestion with a value of 2, and red for heavy traffic congestion with a value of 3. Based on these three categories and values, we used four regions as samples and compared the values with those from Google Maps data to determine accuracy. We achieved an 81% average accuracy from the four samples. The data from the tweet samples compared with Google Maps data showed significant congestion detection with the Congestion Detection App.
