Abstract

Management of Product Controlling in PT. Rolas Nusantara Mandiri KalibaruDistrict Banyuwangi Regency. Quality controlling is an effective and efficient integrated set of activities which areintended to develop, maintain, and improve the quality of several products and servicesto make consumers satisfied. This current study is aimed at identifying the consumeropinion about the quality of product, the management system of quality controlling, andthe costs needed for it. The study was conducted at AMdK 220 ML Merk AirRolas. Thedata were analyzed using the control map, cost analysis and descriptive qualitative. Thedata used in the study were the data on the perception of consumers and the number theproducts produced, the number of damaged products, and the costs needed to supportthe controlling process from Janary to December 2016. The result of the study showedthat the quality of the products were controlled as the proportional value of the damagewas between the upper limit and lower limit, showing that the controlling limit valuewas (p) = 1.3%, the upper controlling limit was (UCL) 2.6%, the lower controlling limit(LCL) was 0%. The costs needed to control the controlling process (QCC) totaled Rp 618, 769,021.19, the costs needed to guarantee the quality was Rp. 5,566,250.00,and the quality costs (TQS) amounted toRp. 674,431,521.9, meaning that the companycould compress products by 111,325 glass or 29.9% of the total production. The valueof optimum damage (q*) was 371,172.4. 43,33% of the respondents showed highly positive perception, 50% showed positive perception, and 6,67% showed neutralperception.

Abstract

Effectiveness of Communication in Counseling Jajar Legowo Planting System onGAPOKTAN Sumber Mulyo in the Village Kediren, Sub-district Kalitengah Lamongan Regency, East Java. Increased productivity of rice farming is needed in order of the community. Theinnovation of the Jajar Legowo planting system is expected to bring about an increase inthe results of farming. One of the Gapoktan implementing Jajar Legowo plantingsystem is GAPOKTAN Sumber Mulyo. Facts on the field show that rice yields usingthe Jajar Legowo planting system did not increase compared to using a tile system. Thiswas allegedly due to communication carried out by extension agents to farmers.Farmers do not understand the explanation given by extension workers. Therefore, it isnecessary to conduct research on communications conducted by extensionagents.Communication can be effective if there is understanding, pleasure, attitude,good relationship, and action. The research location is located in Kediren Village,Kalitengah District, Lamongan Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine theeffectiveness of communication in the extension of the Jajar Legowo planting system onGAPOKTAN Sumber Mulyo. The analytical method used is qualitative descriptiveanalysis.Based on the results of the study it can be concluded the extension of the JajarLegowo planting system is effective. The effectiveness of the communication is shownby: (1) farmers understand the Jajar Legowo planting system; (2) farmers enjoy the Jajar Legowo planting system; (3) farmers sympathize with the Jajar Legowo plantingsystem; (4) the relationship between farmers and extension workers is very good; and(5) the application of Jajar Legowo planting system in accordance with therecommendations of the instructor. Based on the results of the study, discussion, andconclusions, it can be suggested: (1) the need for counseling to members ofGAPOKTAN Sumber Mulyo to use organic fertilizer in farming so that agriculturalland remains fertile and can be used for mina rice; (2) farmers can revive a culture ofmutual cooperation in planting so that it does not require large costs; (3) extensionagents can conduct counseling using cyber extention methods is farmers can learn thematerial neeses through the internet.

Abstract

Payroll System at CV. Pusaka Bali Persada Every company really needs the role of human resources in carrying out its businessactivities and must be managed properly. Human resources function to improve theeffectiveness and efficiency of a company as a function in the company. One way to getcompeting human resources is to pay attention to the payroll system in a company. Thepayroll system itself aims to attract employees, retain employees, and motivateemployees.This research was conducted at CV. Bali Persada Heritage which is determinedintentionally. Sampling using techniques with census methods. The number of samplesis 12 respondents consisting of top managers and middle managers. This study usesqualitative descriptive analysis.The results showed that the salaries of employees at CV. Pusaka Bali Persada consistsof basic salary and benefits. CV. Pusaka Bali Persada provides basic salary by referringto the District / City Minimum Wage (UMK) that has been set by the government.Paying is done with a payroll administration system. The results of this study also showthat the determinants of payroll system in CV. Pusaka Bali Persada includes payrolltechniques, payroll procedures, payroll structure, payroll openness, government support,and payroll policies. The majority of top managers and middle managers agree with thepayroll system that has been applied by CV. Pusaka Bali Persada.

Abstract

The Brown Cane Sugar Industry Business Development Strategy in TulungagungEast Java Province The brown cane sugar industry in Tulungagung is a home industry that is owned byindividuals and has many obstacles to run. This research aims to analyze the businessfeasibility based on the income and BEP (Break Even Point) and to formulate a businessdevelopment strategy for the sugar cane brown sugar business. This study uses dataanalysis methods in the form of qualitative descriptive, quantitative analysis for the level ofbusiness feasibility, and SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats).The brown cane sugar industry in the past year has been producing for 238 days/year whichrequires 15 tons/day of raw sugar cane materials. The revenue obtained from pattern I wasIDR 4.027.873/day of production, pattern II was IDR 3.252.623/day of production, andpattern III was IDR 3.351.373/day of production. The BEP calculation in pattern I was IDR 2.617.072/day of production or 292,5 kg, BEP pattern II was IDR 2.698.287/productionday or 307 kg, and BEP pattern III was IDR 2.779.504/production day or 321 kg. TheSWOT analysis was conducted using analysis of internal and external factors that producesseveral strategies. Several alternative strategies produced are increasing the productionvolumes, expanding the marketing reach, forming joint business groups, determining theproduct distribution schedules, using the appropriate technology, utilizing informationtechnology to promote the products, and managing the business licensing.

Abstract

Efficiency Analysis of the Use of Production Input on Shallot Farming in Songan B Village, Kintamani Sub-District, of Bangli Regency Bali is a tourism area and a potential market for shallot business. One of the shallotproduction centers in Bali is Songan B Village, Kintamani Sub-District, BangliRegency. Fluctuating shallot production is thought to be due to the inefficient use ofproduction inputs so that it is needed to analyze the efficiency of the use of productioninputs. This study aims to determine the effect and efficiency of the use of shallotproduction inputs. The study was conducted in Songan B Village by analyzingproduction inputs such as area of arable land, seeds, manure, NPK fertilizer, solidpesticides, liquid pesticides and labor by using the Cobb-Douglas productionfunction.The data used were data in the March, April, and May planting season of 48respondents determined by a simple random method. Efficiency can be seen from thecomparison of marginal production values and production input prices. The resultsshowed that the area of cultivated land, NPK fertilizer and labor had a positive effect onthe shallot production. Solid pesticides negatively affected the shallot production, whilethe seeds, manure and liquid pesticides had no significant effect. The inefficient use ofproduction inputs is the area of cultivated land and NPK fertilizer, so that its use must be increased, while other production inputs are inefficient that their uses must bereduced.

Abstract

Factors that Influence the Production of Beans in Antapan Village, Baturiti Sub-District, Tabanan RegencyBean is a horticultural commodity that has potential and health benefits, and its consumption can increase because of the FAO recommendations and an increase inpopulation, but the production of beans is volatile. This condition causes no adequatenational bean consumption and reduces the bean farmers' income. The purpose of thestudy was to determine the factors that influence the bean production in the village ofAntapan. The research location was determined intentionally. The sampling methodused a census method for all bean farmers in Antapan Village, totalling of 30people.The research method uses the Cobb-Douglas production function. The researchfindings indicate that the F test results of six variables: seeds, labor, organic fertilizer,NPK fertilizer, fungicides, and insecticides affect simultaneously. Partially only organicfertilizer and NPK fertilizer had an effect (P <0,05) on the bean production.

Abstract

Factors that Determine Consumer Decisions in Buying and Consuming SmoothieBowls at Nalu Bowls Restaurant in Seminyak Trade competition, especially in the culinary/food sector, is very strict, requiring allbusiness owners, espesially restaurant business, to be more courageous in takinginnovations. The purpose of these innovations is sales, and can influence the decision ofconsumers to buy a product. Restaurant Nalu Bowls is a business venture that isengaged in the culinary field and is one of the restaurant innovations that has its ownpicture to meet consumer needs, namely a healthy food menu that it offers. In the mostfamous Nalu Bowls, research in needed.The purpose of this study were (1) to analyzethe characteristics of consumers in Nalu Bowl Restaurant, (2) Analyze the decisionprocess in the purchase of a smoothie bowl at Nalu Bowls Restaurant, (3) Analyze thefactors that influence consumer decisions to buy products in Nalu Bowls Restaurant.Theresults of the study show that several stages of the restaurant of Nalu Bowls Restaurantconsumers before making a purchase, namely needs recognition, information search,alternative evaluation, purchase and post-purchase. Factors affecting consumers indeciding the purchase of smoothie bowls consist of three factors, namely product andsupporting factors, service factors and restaurant identity, and food appearance factors.The advice that can be given is that Nalu Bowls Restaurant should be able to give agood impression to its customers because by giving a good impression, it can bring thepossibility of the consumer to provide good information to his friends about Nalu Bowls which has an impact on the increasing number of consumers visiting Nalu Bowls.

Abstract

Analysis of Consumer Preference on Imported Citrus Fruit and Local Citrus Fruitin Denpasar, Bali. This study aims to determine consumer preferences in buying citrus fruits in DenpasarCity, and to find out the attributes of citrus fruits that are most dominantly chosen byconsumers in purchasing decisions. The location of this research was conducted in PasarBadung, Sanglah Market, Ketapian Market, and Pasar Kreneng which were determinedpurposively. Data collection method by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Thepopulation in this study are consumers of fruit buyers who have at least consumed andbought citrus fruits. The sample of this study amounted to 50 people conducted byaccidental sampling method. The results in this study indicate respondents' preference inbuying citrus fruits, as many as 35 (70%) people choose local oranges and 15 (30%)people choose imported oranges. In determining their preferences there are severalindicators that influence respondents to choose the type of citrus fruit. Of the sevenindicators namely taste, color, fruit size, price, personal taste, income level andavailability continuity that most influence the respondents to choose the type of citrusthat is preferred is the good fruit taste from respondents who choose local oranges andimported oranges. The fruit flavor indicator has the largest percentage of 71.42% forlocal oranges and 86.66% for imported oranges. The most dominant attribute chosen byconsumers in buying local citrus fruits and imported oranges is the attribute of fruitflavor. Where the attributes of taste are the main consideration of respondents in buyingcitrus fruit compared to other attributes such as color, shape, cleanliness, size, price, texture, and freshness of fruit.

Abstract

Socio-Economic Impact Partnership KUD Tani Makmur with PT. NestleIndonesia (Case Study in Kandang Tepus Village, Senduro Sub-District, Lumajang Regency)One form of relationship between subsystems in the agribusiness system is the relationship between dairy farmers, dairy cow cooperatives, and the Milk ProcessingIndustry (IPS). One of the dairy cow milk cooperatives in partnership with IPS is theKUD Tani Makmur in Kandang Tepus Village, Senduro District, Lumajang Regency.KUD Tani Makmur in running his dairy cow business in partnership with PT. NestleIndonesia.The partnership between KUD Tani Makmur and Nestle is contractual, inwhich this partnership impacts socially and economically for cooperatives. The purposeof this study was to determine the social and economic impacts of KUD Tani Makmurbecause they partnered with Nestle.The research method used for social impact isqualitative. Whereas for economic impacts quantitative analysis and trend analysis areused. The results of the analysis show that there is a change in knowledge, attitudes, andactions of cooperative employees and members. This change is positive. In addition,there are changes in positive social values and norms and institutions. The economicimpact obtained is also positive, the cooperative has increased income, the number of members of the cooperative, the development of physical cooperatives. The SHUobtained by cooperatives in the 2013-2016 period fluctuated, which in 2015 experienceda decline. This extension is due to the lack of proper implementation of cooperativestrategies in dealing with competitors. The positive impact of social and economicneeds to be maintained, while to overcome competitors need to know the weaknessesand strengths of competitors so as not to implement a strategy that is inappropriate.

Abstract

Employee’s Job Satisfaction at Fresh Food Department Tiara Dewata Supermarket Efforts to obtain optimal performance from the presence of employees in a companyneed to be done by setting the right strategy, namely by thinking about how to manageemployees so that they are able to achieve the company's objectives. This can be realizedby creating job satisfaction of the members of the organization concerned which willfurther improve work performance.The objectives of this research are: (a) To analyze job satisfaction at Tiara DewataSupermarket. (b) To analyze the factors forming employee job satisfaction at TiaraDewata Supermarket. The population in this study were all employees of Tiara DewataSupermarket in the fresh food department with total 60 people. The sample wasdetermined by Saturated Sampling method, which is a sample determination technique ifall members of the population were used as samples. Data analysis method used is factoranalysis, namely The First Order Confirmatory Factor Analysis and The Second OrderConfirmatory Factor Analysis, which is processed using AMOS 22 software.The results show that: (1) Fresh Food employees at Tiara Dewata Supermarket are verysatisfied working under the auspices of the Tiara Dewata Supermarket, this can be seenfrom the results of the average assessment score consisting of: main tasks and workfunctions, supervision by the leadership, opportunities for advancement, co-workers, andworking conditions, with an average overall score of 4.40 at an interval of 4.2-5.0. (2)All research factors and indicators are valid / significant as a measure or form of employee job satisfaction. Overall the factors that give the biggest contribution or thestrongest measure of job satisfaction is the opportunity to progress with the value ofloading factor 0.986, while the factors that give the smallest contribution or the weakestas a measure of the construct of job satisfaction are co-workers with the value of loadingfactor 0.943.
