Abstract

The Influence of Packages Technology to Aphid Insect (Myzus persicae Sulz) and Fruit Flies (Bactrocera doralis Comp.) on Cayenne Chilli (Capsicum frutescens L.) and Long Chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) in the Lowlands This research aims are to determine the influence and effectiveness of technology using Trichoderma’s compost, rain shelters, and pesticid eto developmentof insect pests on long chilli and cayenne chilli in the lowlands. This research was conducted from January to April 2018 in Sempidi Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency. The research method using Randomize Block Design with the factor pattern consisted of 8 treatments and 4 replications. Parameters observed were population of aphid insect and fruit flies, and total crop yield as supporting the data. This result showed that the highest percentage of damage by aphids on the treatment of V1P0 (cayenne chilli control) was 5% and V2P0 (large chilli control) of 10% in two week after treatment. The highest percentage of fruit fly damage on V2P0 tretament was 2.77% and V1P2 is 2.28% at 1st time of harvest. The lowest percentage of aphid damage and fruit fly on treatment V2P2 (large chili with rain shelters) and V1P2 (cayenne chili with rain shelters), aphids damage were 5% and 10% on 9 week after transplanting, and fruit fly damage were 0.94% and 0.76% at 1st time of harvest. The highest yield was obtained on Trichoderma treatment on cayenne chili and large chili with total weight of 509.28gr and 3618.88gr, respectively. From the results of this research was found that the use of rain shelters technology, Trichoderma and pesticides, affect the damage of aphids, fruit flies, and crops yield.

Abstract

Impact of Watershed Morphometric to Debit and Suspended Load of Yeh Ho Watershed Watershed (DAS) is a land area which is a unity with the river and its tributaries, which functions to accommodate, store and drain water. Morphometryand physical properties of the watershed give effect to changes in discharge and river sediment content. With the aim of knowing the effect of water level on Yeh Ho watershed discharge and sedimentation and the correlation between morphometry and the physical condition of the watershed by ratting curve discharge and sediment content. This research was conducted in the Yeh Ho river flow area in Tabanan Regency from November - February 2018 with methods: (1) literature study, (2) analysis of satellite imagery with the world view image of the 2013-2015 observation year, (3) analysis of regional characteristics river flow using DEM imagery (digital elevation mode), (4) debit analysis and (5) analysis of sediment content. The results of the DEM analysis determine the characteristics and watershed boundaries which are then analyzed to produce morphometry and physical properties of the watershedwith data sources from (BAPPEDA Tabanan Regency). The results of the analysis show that the water level has an effect of 97% on the discharge and sedimentcontent. The correlation of morphometry and physical condition of watershed with ratting curve discharge and sediment content was expressed in morphometric scores of 120 (Good watershed conditions) and physical conditions in good and very good categories.

Abstract

Identification of Fusarium solani Fungi Associated with Stem Rot Disease in Dragon Fruit Plant (Hylocereus sp.) at Bangorejo District, Banyuwangi Regency Dragon fruit plants at Banyuwangi in the maintenance process always experience disorder such as pathogenic attacks. The part of dragon fruit plant whichis often attacked by pathogens is the stem which is caused the stem to rot. One type of photogenic fungus in dragon fruit plants is Fusarium solani. This fungus attacks the stem of the dragon fruit plant, so that it can cause the stem of the plant looks wilted and brown rot.The cause of stem rot disease of dragon fruit plant in Banyuwangi is not yet known exactly, thus identification in macroscopic, microscopic, and molecular need to be done. Recently, the use of molecular methods in fungi identification has increased to solve this problem. One of the molecular approaches to identify fungi is by using a device called Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR).The result of this research showed mycelium that grown on PDA media (Potato Dextrose Agar) shaped like a thick cotton expands like a cloud, the shape of the edge of the colony is uneven, the surface color of the colony is white, the color of the bottom of the colony is white, the direction of the growth of the mycelium is to the side and the structure of the mycelium is smooth. In microscopic identification there found a long macroconidia, crescent shaped with blunt ends, 1-5 septa, microconidia shaped in round to oval, long hyphae and bersepta. The molecular identification with PCR to determine the presence of Fusarium solani mushroom by using universal primary pairs of ITS4 and ITS5 successfully amplified and produced DNA fragments measuring 560 bp.

Abstract

The Effect of Biofertilizers and Anorganic Fertilizers to Several Soil Chemical Properties and Spinach (Amaranthus tricolor) in Pedungan Village Inceptisol The aim of this study is to know the effect of interaction between biofertilizers and inorganic fertilizers on soil chemical properties and yield of spinach in Pedungan Inceptisol. This research was conducted from October 2017 to February 2018 at the greenhouse. The experiment located in Pedungan Village and the Soil and Environmental Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty of Udayana University. Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 9 treatments and 3 replications were used in this experiment. The data were analyzed by using the Costat program and continued by the LSD test at 5% level if the treatment was significantly different. The variables observed in this study consisted of soil chemical properties and production of plants. The result of this experiment showed that there are no interaction between biofretilizer and inorganic fertilizer on all of parameters observed. The effect of biofertilizers had a significant diferences on all of parameters, while in using inorganic fertilizers only on the half parameters. The treatment of biofertilizers at a dose of 20 mL had a significant effect on the improvement on all parameters, while inorganic fertilizer treatment at half of the recommended dose had the same effect as the treatment of real recomended dose for increasing the total N, K, soil pH, and plant height.

Abstract

The effect of pruning on the results of long bean pods (Vigna sinensis L.) Long beans, including leguminosae family in the form of shrubs that grow creepy and easily planted on lowland and highland land, both in the fields of paddyfields, moorlands, and in the yard. Long bean plants are included in indeterminate plants, the vegetative phase continues to be active even though it has entered the generative phase. The lateral branch of the long bean plant continues to grow, so pruning is needed. This study aims to determine the effect of lateral branch pruning on the results of long bean pods. The method used is a test method with a paired system. The treatment tested is trimming the lateral branches and without trimming the lateral branches. Each treatment was repeated 25 times and each replication was represented by 3 plants. Data were analyzed using t-test. The results showed that pruning had an effect on increasing pod yield.

Abstract

The utilize of Trichoderma sp Compost Formulation to Control wilt disease of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.capsici in cayenne pepper Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.capsici is a disease that attacks cayenne pepper. This disease can be suppressed by an infectious pathogen called Trichoderma sp. This study was done at laboratory UPT BPTPH Bali Province started from April 2018 to September 2018. This study was done in order to fine the best dose of Trichoderma sp. that used to control Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.capsici on cayenne pepper The experimental design is randomized block design (RBD) with six treatments and each treatment is replicated 4 times. The result of this study show that application of Tricoderma sp. on cayenne pepper could decrease wilt disease of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. capsici with minimum percentage of wilt symptoms is T5 only 30% in 16 WAT compare with control 67,5%. The best treatment that can decrease symptoms of wilt desease and increasing the yield of cayenne pepper is the T5 (25 gr/plant) but not significantly affect with T3 (12 gr/plant).
