Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menemukan: 1) mengetahui besarnya pengaruh kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah terhadap Kinerja guru SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Kudus, (2) mengetahui besarnya pengaruh budaya organisasi sekolah terhadap kinerja guru SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Kudus, (3) Besarnya pengaruh kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah dan budaya organisasi sekolah terhadap kinerja guru SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Kudus. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan ex post facto design. Dan menggunakan metoda korelasional. Penelitian ini mengambil populasi guru-guru SMP di Kabupaten Kudus yang berjumlah 985 dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 258 guru, pengambilan sampel menggunakan proposional random sampling. Tehnik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang dikembangkan berdasarkan variabel kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah, budaya sekolah, dan kinerja guru. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) kompetensi manajerial 46.7% menyumbang secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru; (2) Budaya sekolah menyumbang 53.6% secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru; (3) sumbangan secara positif dan signifikan dihasilkan dari hasil pengaruh secara bersama-sama antara kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah dan budaya sekolah terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 60.5%.The purpose of this study were to find: (1) knowing the amount of headmaster managerial competence influence toward teacher performance at SMP Negeri in Kudus regency, (2) to know the amount of schools’ organizational culture influence toward the teachers’ performance at SMP Negeri in Kudus Regency, (3) the amount of influence headmaster managerial competence and schools’ organizational culture toward the teachers’ performance at SMP Negeri in Kudus Regency. The method of this study employs quantitative approach by ex post facto design and correlational method. The population of this study is 985 teachers’ at SMP in Kudus regency and the sample is 258 teachers taken from random purposive sampling. The data collection employs questionnaire which was developed according to the headmaster’s managerial competence, schools’ culture and teachers’ performance variable. The data analysis employs regression test by the help of SPSS. The result of the study shows: (1) the percentage of managerial competence is 46.7% give the significant and positive influence toward teachers’ performance; (2) the percentage of schools’ culture is 53.6% give the significant and positive influence toward teachers’ performance; (3) the percentage of managerial competence and schools’ culture is 60.5% give the significant and positive influence toward teachers’ performance.

Abstract

Need assesment sebagai langkah yang menentukan kualitas pelaksanaan program bimbingan dan konseling. Fenomena menunjukkan, guru bimbingan dan konseling kurang memperhatikan langkah yang dimaksud, melakukan analisis masih manual. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Mixed Method dengan desain deskriptif eksplanatori (sequential explanatory), artinya pengumpulan data secara kuantitatif. Metode kualitatif berperan untuk membuktikan, memperdalam, memperluas, memperlemah dan menggugurkan data kuantitatif yang diperoleh pada tahap awal. Populasinya guru bimbingan dan konseling Sekolah Menengah Atas negeri di kota Semarang, teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah Purposive Sampling dan Cluster Random Sampling. Teknik kuesioner, dan wawancara sebagai pengumpul data, dianalisis dengan mengintegrasikan ke dua interprestasi data secara deskriptif eksploratif, sehingga diperoleh data kualitatif baru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan need assessment program bimbingan konseling bidang bimbingan belajar dalam kategori baik sekali, namun guru bimbingan dan konseling tidak mengetahui cara melakukan standarisasi instrumen dengan software program komputer. Disarankan, guru bimbingan dan konseling belajar melakukan standarisasi instrumen, dan ketrampilan teknologi informasi. Needs assessment as a step that determines the quality of guidance and counseling program. The phenomenon shows, guidance and counseling teachers pay less attention to the steps mentioned, the analysis is still manual. Mixed methods research approach to the design of descriptive explanatory method (sequential explanatory), meaning that the quantitative data collection. Qualitative methods serve to prove, deepen, broaden, weaken and abort the quantitative data obtained in the early stages. Guidance and counseling teacher population of high school in the Semarang city, the sample technique used is Purposive Sampling and Cluster Random Sampling. Techniques questionnaires, and interviews as data collection, analyzed by integrating the two interpretations of the data in a descriptive explorative, in order to obtain new qualitative data. The results showed need assessment guidance and counseling program areas tutoring in the category of very good, but the teachers’ guidance and counseling do not know how to standardize the instrument with a computer software program. Suggested, teacher guidance and counseling to learn to do the standardization of instruments, and information technology skills.

Abstract

Pendekatan penelitian adalah kuantitatif non eksperimen. Populasi penelitian semua guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kecamatan Bulakamba berjumlah 380 orang. Teknik sampling menggunakan tabel Krejcie ukuran sampel 181 orang. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan statistik deskriptif, regresi sederhana, regresi berganda, dan korelasi. Secara deskriptif hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa kompensasi di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kecamatan Bulakamba termasuk dalam kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 50,4530, kepuasan kerja dengan kategori puas skor rata-rata 58,7174, kinerja guru masuk dalam kategori baik dengan rata-rata 60,8564. Dengan regresi sederhana diketahui bahwa terdapat pengaruh postif dan signifikan kompensasi terhadap kinerja guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kecamatan Bulakamba sebesar 23,9%, kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 29,4 %. Hasil analisis regresi berganda menunjukkan adanya pengaruh bersama-sama secara positif dan signifikan kompensasi dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kecamatan Bulakamba dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 48,2%. Berdasarkan penelitian ini disarankan kinerja guru perlu ditingkatkan dan guru harus menyadari antara hak dan kewajiban harus seimbang.This research is aimed at knowing the influence of the compensation to teachers’ performance, the influence of job’s satisfaction to the teachers’ performance, and the influence of compensation and job’s satisfaction to the teachers’ performance. The research employed quantitative approach in non-experimental design. The population is all teachers of public elementary schools at Bulakamba sub-district as many as 380. The sample of this research is as many as 181 with Krejcie table. The data is analyzed using descriptive statistic, simple regression, double regression and correlation. Descriptively, The research found that compensation in public elementary school in Bulakamba sub-district can be categorized as good with the average score of 50, 4530, the jobs’ satisfacton with the catogory satisfactory, the average score is 58, 7174, and the teachers’ performance is in good category with the score fo 60, 8564. By using simple regression, it can be found out that there is positive influence and significant compensation on teachers’ performance of public elementary school in Bulakamba as many as 23, 9 %, the job’s satisfaction has significant and positive influence to the teachers’ performance with the determination coefficient as many as 29,4 %. The result of double regression found out that the altogether the job’s satisfaction has significant and positive influence to the teachers’ performance with the determination coefficient as many as 48,2 %. It is suggested that it is necessary to improve teachers’ performance and teachers must know about the balance of right and responsibility.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan agama, dan pendidikan keluarga terhadap disiplin siswa pada tata tertib sekolah di SMP Pangudi Luhur 1 Klaten baik secara terpisah maupun bersama-sama. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Pangudi Luhur 1 Klaten yang berjumlah 504 siswa, sampel sebanyak 117 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket langsung yang dijawab oleh siswa, selanjutnya dianalisis dengan teknik regresi sederhana dan regresi ganda dengan menggunakan program SPSS versi 10.0 for Windows 2000. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 1) ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan pendidikan agama terhadap disiplin siswa sebesar 26,6% dan persamaan regresi Y = 35,668 + 0,501X1, 2) ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan pendidikan keluarga terhadap disiplin siswa sebesar 35,5% dan persamaan regresi Y = 33,033 + 0,526 X2, 3) ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan pendidikan agama dan pendidikan keluarga terhadap disiplin siswa sebesar 37,7% dan persamaan regresi Y = 29,264 + 0,181X1 + 0,4060X2.The purpose of this study is to know the religion education and family education toward the both in individual and group students’ disciplinary to the school rules at SMP Pangudi Luhur 1 Klaten. The population of this study is all 504 students at SMP Pangudi Luhur 1 Klaten. The sample is 117 students. The data collection employs questionnaire, and analyzed by both simple regression technique and multiple regression using SPSS version 10.0 for Windows 2000. The result of this study shows (1) 26.6% percentage of positive and significant influence of religion education toward the students’ discipline and the equation of regression is Y = 35,668 + 0,501X1, (2) 35.5% percentage of positive and significant influence of family education toward the students’ discipline and the equation of regression is Y = 33,033 + 0,526 X2, (3) 37.7% percentage of positive and significant influence of religion education and family education toward the students’ discipline and the equation of regression is Y = 29,264 + 0,181X1 + 0,4060X2.

Abstract

Kinerja guru adalah salah satu faktor yang sangat menentukan dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Indonesia. Untuk itulah sudah selayaknya apabila berbagai pihak sangat menaruh perhatian terhadap kinerja guru. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh supervisi pembelajaran dan komunikasi terhadap kinerja guru. Pendekatan yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah studi korelasional dengan populasi guru yang sudah menjadi Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) pada SD Negeri di wilayah Kecamatan Ngampel Kabupaten Kendal. sebanyak 119 orang, dan sampel diambil berdasarkan tabel krejcie sebanyak 92 orang. Variabel penelitian yang diambil terdiri dua variabel bebas dan satu variabel terikat, yaitu: supervisi pembelajaran (X1), komunikasi (X2), dan kinerja guru (Y). data digali dan dikumpulkan dengan mengunakan instrumen kuesioner tertutup dan hasilnya dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis regresi sederhana dan regresi ganda dengan bantuan SPSS versi 15 for windows 2000. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kinerja guru berkategori sangat baik (86%), (2) supervisi pembelajaran berkategori sangat baik (76%) dan mempengaruhi kinerja guru sebesar 18,2 %, dan selebihnya sebesar 81,8 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor faktor lain di luar penelitian. (3) komunikasi berkategori sangat baik (80 %) dan mempengaruhi kinerja guru sebesar 33,2 %, dan selebihnya sebesar 66,8 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor faktor lain di luar penelitian. (4) supervisi pembelajaran dan komunikasi mempengaruhi kinerja guru sebesar 34,6%, dan selebihnya sebesar 65,4 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor faktor lain di luar penelitianTeachers’ performance is one of the determining factors to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. Therefore, we need to pay attention to the teachers’ performance. This research is aimed at knowing how big the influence of learning supervision and communication to the teacher’s performance. Correlation study is used in this research with the population civil servant teacher to public elementary school, Ngampel, Kendal regency as many as 199 teachers. and the sample is taken based on krejcie as many as 92 teachers. There are experimental variables which consists of learning supervision (X1), communication (X2), and teachers’ performace (Y). The data is collected using closed questionnaire and the result will be anayzed using simple regression technique analysis and double regression with the help of SPSS version 15 for windows 2000. The research found out that (1) teachers’ performance is graded as very good (86%). (2) learning supervision is graded as very good (76%) and the influence of teachers’ performance is 18,2 % and others as many as 81,8 % are affected by other factors outside the research. (3) the communication is graded as very good ( 80 %) and affecting teachers’ performance as many as 33,2 % and others as many as 81,8 % are affected by other factors outside the research. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menggambarkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan pendidikan di MTs N Bonang, (2) menggambarkan kemandirian pembiayaan pendidikan dan fasilitas di MTs N Bonang, (3) menggambarkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam melaksanakan pendidikan, dan (4) mengidentifikasi mendukung dan faktor penghambat dalam kondisi manajemen berbasis sekolah di MTs N Bonang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang datanya dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi untuk kepala sekolah, kepala staf administrasi, guru, staf sekolah, dan komite madrasah. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pendidikan di MTs N Bonang dilakukan sesuai dengan konsep manajemen berbasis sekolah, membuktikan fungsi yang ada dari manajemen yang meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, kepemimpinan dan evaluasi dalam program pendidikan. Kemandirian pembiayaan pendidikan dan fasilitas dikelola oleh manajer madrasah di bawah pengawasan komite sekolah dan pemerintah, membuat keputusan yang berhubungan dengan proses pembelajaran akan dilakukan melalui pertemuan antara pengelola madrasah, komite sekolah, dan orang tua. Dari pembahasan analisis dan data, identifikasi beberapa faktor pendukung dan penghambat dapat dilakukan. Faktor pendukung adalah (1) fasilitas sekolah yang memadai, (2) latar belakang pendidikan yang cukup dari guru, (3) lingkungan sekolah Islam, dan (4) partisipasi orang tua cukup. Faktor penghambat adalah (1) lokasi yang jauh dari sekolah, (2) fasilitas umum pendidikan terbatas, (3) kondisi sosial ekonomi yang rendah dari orang tua, (4) rendahnya kesadaran dan motivasi siswa.This research is aimed at (1) describing the society’s participation in education management in MTs N Bonang, (2) describing educational financing independence and facilities in MTs N Bonang, (3) describing society’s participation in conducting edcucation, and (4) identifying supporting and inhibiting factors in conductiong school based management in MTs N Bonang. This is a qualitative research whose data was gathered through interview, observation, and documentation to the headmaster, the head of administration staff, teachers, school staffs, and the madrasah committee. This research found that the education in MTs N Bonang is conducted appropriate to the concept of school based management, the prove is the existing function of management which covers planning, organizing, conductingm and evaluation in education program. The independence of educational financing and facilities is managed by the madrasah manager under the supervision of school committee and government, All decision making related to the learning process will be done through the meeting between madrasah manager, school commitee, and parents. From the analysis and data discussion, The identification of some supporting and inhibiting factors can be carried out. The supporting factors are (1) sufficient school facilities, (2) sufficient educational background of the teachers, (3) Islamic school environment, and (4) sufficient parental participation. The inhibiting factor are (1) the remote location of the school, (2) the limited general facilities of the education, (3) the low socioeconomic condition of the parents, (4) the low awareness and motivation of the students.

Abstract

Kinerja staf administrasi dari Universitas Negeri Semarang belum maksimal tercapai, ditunjukkan dengan kehadiran tepat waktu mereka pada bulan Juni 2006 yang hanya 82,06%. Ada beberapa penyebab dari kondisi ini, antara lain motivasi berprestasi kurang maksimal dan iklim organisasi kurang kondusif. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) untuk menggambarkan kinerja, motivasi berprestasi, dan iklim organisasi Semarang State University, (2) untuk menguji pengaruh motivasi berprestasi dan iklim organisasi, individu atau kolektif, pada kinerja staf administrasi dari Universitas Negeri Semarang. Ini adalah penelitian ex post facto dengan menggunakan metode survei. Populasi terdiri dari semua staf administrasi 464 Universitas Negeri Semarang. Sampel terdiri dari 116 staf, dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik proporsional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi berprestasi dikategorikan baik, iklim organisasi tergolong baik, dan kinerja staf administrasi dari Universitas Negeri Semarang juga baik. Pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja staf administrasi dari Universitas Negeri Semarang, (2) terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari iklim organisasi terhadap kinerja staf administrasi Universitas Negeri Semarang, (3) terdapat pengaruh simultan yang signifikan dari motivasi berprestasi dan iklim organisasi terhadap kinerja staf administrasi dari Universitas Negeri Semarang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa motivasi berprestasi tinggi dan iklim organisasi yang kondusif meningkatkan kinerja staf administrasi dari Universitas Negeri Semarang.The performance of administrative staff of Semarang State University is not yet maximally achieved, indicated by their punctual attendance in June 2006 of only 82,06%. There are various causes of this condition, among others less maximum achievement motivation and less condusive organizational climate. This study is meant (1) to describe the performance, the achievement motivation, and organizational climate of Semarang State University, (2) to examine the effect of the achievement motivation and organizational climate, individually or collectively, on the performance of the administrative staff of Semarang State University. This is an ex post facto study by the use of survey methods. The population consists of all 464 administrative staff of Semarang State University. The sample consists of 116 staff, selected by the use of a proportional random sampling technique. The data are collected by the use of questionnaires. The result of the study shows that the achievement motivation is categorised good, the organizational climate is categorised as good, and the performance of administrative staff of Semarang State University is also good. The testing of hypotheses shows that (1) there is a significant positive effect of the achievement motivation on the performance of administrative staff of Semarang State University, (2) there is a significant positive effect of the organizational climate on the performance of administrative staff of Semarang State University, (3) there is a significant simultaneous effect of the achievement motivation and organizational climate on the performance of administrative staff of Semarang State University. It can be concluded that the high achievement motivation and condusive organizational climate improve the performance of administrative staff of Semarang State University.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kinerja guru terhadap keefektifan sekolah, baik secara sederhana maupun berganda menggunakan pendekatan studi korelasional dengan populasinya adalah guru yang melaksanakan tugas mengajar di SMK negeri maupun swasta se Kabupaten Pemalang. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kinerja guru terhadap keefektifan sekolah, baik secara sendiri maupun bersama-sama. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memberikan kontribusi kepada keefektifan sekolah besaranya 41,8 % , Kontribusi kinerja guru kepada keefektifan sekolah besaranya 24.2 % dan kontribusi secara bersama-sama besaranya 43,3 %, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain diluar penelitian ini. Kedua variabel bebas yang paling berpengaruh terhadap keefektifan sekolah adalah Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah sebesar 54,7% dibanding Kinerja Guru sebesar 17,1%. Saran yang diajukan berdasar temuan penelitian adalah Kepala sekolah harus mampu mempengaruhi, mengarahkan, membimbing dan mengendalikan perilaku para personil penyelenggara pendidikan sehingga mereka mau dan mampu menjalankan tugas dan tanggung jawab secara lebih profesional untuk tercapainya pendidikan yang efektif dan efisien. Guru hendaknya selalu meningkatkan sumber daya manusia melalui pelatihan-pelatihan dan seminar-seminar sebagai modal dasar dalam melaksanakan tugasnya sehari-hari secara optimal dan profesional.This research is aimed at knowing the influence of headmaster’s leadership and teachers’ performance to the effectiveness of the school using both simple and double regression, The research employed correlation study with population of teacher who conduct learning process at public vocational schools or private ones in Pemalang. The research found that there is significant influence between headmaster’s leadership and teachers’ performance to the effectiveness of the school both in solitary or altogether. The headmaster’s leadership contributed as many as 41,8 %, the teachers’ performance contributed to the school’s effectiveness as many as 43,3%, while the rest is influenced by other variables outside this research. The most influential experimental variable to the schools’ effectiveness is the leadership of the headmaster as many as 54,7 % compared to teachers’ performance as many as 17,1 %. It is suggested that based on the finding of the research, the headmaster should be able to influence, direct, guide, and control the behavior of education personnel in the school so that they are able to responsible and professional to achieve effective and efficient education. The teacher should always improve the human resources through training and seminars to be more optimal and professional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan rancangan studi kasus. Teknik yang dipergunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa wawancara, observasi partisipan dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis dan pengolahan data dilakukan dengan cara : 1) reduksi data ; 2) penyajian data ; dan 3) mengambil simpulan atau verifikasi. Untuk mendapatkan data yang valid, dilakukan triangulasi data dan sumber, artinya data yang sama diungkap dari berbagai sumber. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa : 1) Kegiatan perencanaan pembelajaran PAI di SMP Nasima pada dasarnya sudah dilaksanakan dengan baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada administrasi pembelajaran yang dibuat oleh guru PAI, 2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran PAI di SMP Nasima menyeimbangkan teori dan praktik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dengan adanya pembiasaan dan rutinitas keagamaan yang dilakukan setiap hari, dan 3) Penilaian pembelajaran PAI pada dasarnya sudah dilaksanakan secara kesinambungan. Hal ini terbukti dalam pelaksanaan penilaian dilakukan secara bertahap, mulai dari ulangan harian, ulangan harian terprogram, mid semster, dan ulangan akhir semesterThis research is aimed at unraveling the management of Islamic education in SMP Nasima Semarang. This research is expected to have beneficial impacts towards the organization such as source of contemplation and material of learning management. This research used qualitative, with the design of case study. The data was collected using interview, observation, and documentation. Analysis and data management were done in three ways: (1) data reduction, (2) data display, and (3) draw the conclusion or verification. To get the valid data, The triangulation of data and source was conducted, it means that the data was revealed by various sources. This research found that (1) the Islamic education planning in SMP NASIMA is good, it can be seen from the learning administration made by the teachers, (2) The conduct of learning in Nasima was in balance between practice and theory. This can be seen from the daily Islamic conditioning and routine in Nasima, and (3) The learning scoring of Islamic education in Nasima basically is conducted simultaneously. This can be seen from the conduct of daily test, programmed daily test, mid semester test, and final test.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui bagaimana siswa program percepatan belajar mengelola dan waktu bermain selama progam percepatan waktu dan apakah program percepatan mempengaruhi perasaan mereka untuk mendapatkan waktu bermain yang memadai. Ini adalah studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen. Validitas data diperoleh melalui triangulasi, verifikasi responden, dan penilaian antara para peneliti. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan (1) reduksi data, (2) penyajian data, (3) kesimpulan menggambar. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan belajar dan bermain siswa dari program percepatan Sekolah SMP Negeri 3 Pati: (1) siswa program percepatan mengatur waktu mereka dari pagi hingga sore, karena mereka menghadiri kegiatan belajar mengajar reguler dari pagi sampai sore, dan kemudian mengambil pelajaran tambahan di luar sekolah mereka sampai sore hari. Pada malam hari mereka harus meninjau pelajaran dan melakukan tugas rumah dan mempersiapkan bahan belajar untuk hari berikutnya. (2) Para siswa dari program percepatan mengelola waktu mereka bermain selama liburan atau waktu luang. Hal ini karena setiap hari mereka menghabiskan sebagian besar waktu mereka untuk belajar dan tidak punya waktu untuk bermain. (3) Para siswa berpikir bahwa waktu untuk belajar tidak seimbang dengan waktu mereka untuk bermain karena mereka harus belajar setiap hari dari pagi hingga sore dan dapat memiliki waktu untuk bermain hanya selama liburan sekolah.This study is meant to find out how the students of the acceleration program manage their learning and play time during the time-demanding acceleration progam and whether the acceleration program affects their feeling to obtain adequate playing time. This is a case study. The data were collected by the use of interviews, observation, and documents. The validity of the data was obtained through triangulation, respondent verification, and assessment among researchers. The data were analyzed by using (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, (3) drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis show that the learning and playing management of the students of the acceleration program of State Junior High School 3 of Pati: (1) the students of the acceleration program manage their time from morning to evening, because they attend the regular teaching learning activities from morning to afternoon, and then take extra lessons outside their school until late afternoon. In the evening they have to review lessons and do home assignments and prepare learning materials for the following day. (2) The students of the acceleration program manage their playing time during their holidays or free time. This is because every day they spend most of their time to study and do not have time to play. (3) The students think that the time for learning is not balanced with their time to play because they have to learn every day from morning to evening and can have time to play only during school holidays.
