Abstract

This research aims to illustrate teachers' technological knowledge (TK), pedagogical knowledge (PK), and technological pedagogical knowledge (TPK) as an integral part of TPACK introduced by Koehler and Mishra (2005). The research took place in Semarang Excellence School (SES), specifically in the Olympiad class. By employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research results indicate that teachers' technological knowledge shows an advanced level of acquisition, particularly regarding the importance of integrating and using technology in learning practices. Likewise, teachers' pedagogical knowledge demonstrates a good level of understanding and practice, mainly because teachers are familiar with a variety of learning methods and techniques and know how to use them appropriately in specific circumstances. Furthermore, teachers' technological pedagogical knowledge, which represents the intersection and accumulation of the two previous domains of teachers' skills, suggests a high level of mastery. For instance, when teachers collaboratively implement conventional and technology-based learning methods and techniques, it enhances student academic achievement in the Olympiad class. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengetahuan teknologi (TK), pengetahuan pedagogis (PK), dan pengetahuan pedagogis teknologi (TPK) guru sebagai bagian integral dari TPACK yang diperkenalkan oleh Koehler dan Mishra (2005). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Unggulan Semarang (SES), khususnya di kelas Olimpiade. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan teknologi guru mencapai tingkat kemahiran yang tinggi, terutama dalam hal pentingnya integrasi dan penggunaan teknologi dalam praktik pembelajaran. Begitu pula, pengetahuan pedagogis guru menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman dan praktik yang baik, terutama karena guru mengenal berbagai metode dan teknik pembelajaran serta tahu cara menggunakannya dengan tepat dalam situasi tertentu. Selain itu, pengetahuan pedagogis teknologi guru, yang mewakili persimpangan dan akumulasi dari dua domain keterampilan guru sebelumnya, menunjukkan tingkat penguasaan yang tinggi. Misalnya, ketika guru secara kolaboratif menerapkan metode pembelajaran konvensional dan berbasis teknologi, hal ini dapat meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa di kelas Olimpiade.

Abstract

This research study aimed to asses the level of agricultural literacy among senior secondary school students in Kwara State, Nigeria, using a descriptive survey research design. The target population comprised all senior secondary school science students in Kwara State, and a sample of 1,200 students was selected using a multi-stage sampling procedure. Data were collected using an adapted standardized questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.71. Both descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were conducted to analyze the data. The findings of the study revealed that there was no significant difference in agricultural literacy among senior secondary school students based on their gender or school location. However, the study did identify a significant difference in agricultural literacy among senior secondary school students based on the type of school they attended. Consequently, the study recommended that agricultural science teachers should focus on other components of agricultural literacy, particularly agricultural policy literacy, to enhance students' understanding of agricultural policy. Abstrak Studi penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat literasi pertanian di kalangan siswa sekolah menengah atas di Negara Bagian Kwara, Nigeria, menggunakan desain penelitian survei deskriptif. Populasi target terdiri dari semua siswa sekolah menengah atas jurusan sains di Negara Bagian Kwara, dan sampel sebanyak 1.200 siswa dipilih menggunakan prosedur sampel multi-tahap. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner standar yang telah diadaptasi dengan koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,71. Analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dilakukan untuk menganalisis data. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan signifikan dalam literasi pertanian di antara siswa sekolah menengah atas berdasarkan jenis kelamin atau lokasi sekolah. Namun, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi perbedaan signifikan dalam literasi pertanian di antara siswa sekolah menengah atas berdasarkan jenis sekolah yang mereka hadiri. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar guru ilmu pertanian memfokuskan pada komponen literasi pertanian lainnya, terutama literasi kebijakan pertanian, untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang kebijakan pertanian.

Abstract

The integration of ICT has transformed conventional teaching methods in universities; however, obstacles such as the digital divide hinder its usage. This study employs a survey method to examine the challenges of incorporating ICT into teaching and learning in higher educational institutions in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Teachers from various universities across Kurdistan participated in a survey divided into three segments: the impact of ICT on students, difficulties in using ICT tools in teaching, and positive experiences of educators using ICT. The study utilizes machine learning modules to identify relationships between the challenges and ICT tools. The results demonstrate that the use of ICT tools has a positive impact on students, but challenges such as a lack of facilities and training hinder their use. Ultimately, the study concludes that integrating ICT into teaching and learning in higher educational institutions in Iraqi Kurdistan is vital, and emphasizes the need for additional training and resources to support the process. Abstrak Integrasi TIK telah mengubah metode pengajaran konvensional di perguruan tinggi; namun, hambatan seperti kesenjangan digital menghambat penggunaannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei untuk mengkaji tantangan pengintegrasian TIK dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran di lembaga pendidikan tinggi di Wilayah Kurdistan, Irak. Guru-guru dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di Kurdistan berpartisipasi dalam survei yang terbagi menjadi tiga segmen: dampak TIK pada mahasiswa, kesulitan penggunaan alat TIK dalam pengajaran, dan pengalaman positif pendidik dalam menggunakan TIK. Penelitian ini menggunakan modul pembelajaran mesin untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara tantangan dan alat TIK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan alat TIK memiliki dampak positif pada mahasiswa, tetapi tantangan seperti kurangnya fasilitas dan pelatihan menghambat penggunaannya. Pada akhirnya, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi TIK dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran di lembaga pendidikan tinggi di Kurdistan Irak sangat penting, dan menekankan perlunya pelatihan dan sumber daya tambahan untuk mendukung proses tersebut.

Abstract

Motivation plays a crucial role in the success of students' learning activities. The higher the level of individual motivation, the greater the potential for achieving learning outcomes. With the rapid advancement of technology, the field of education is adapting to meet future challenges. As educators, it is essential to innovate and create engaging virtual classrooms that captivate students' interest. Many students show disinterest in attending virtual lectures due to the perceived lack of excitement in these classes. However, there is a technology solution that can address this issue - VMix. VMix offers the capability to create visually appealing and captivating virtual class displays similar to television studios. By integrating VMix with platforms like Zoom and Google Meet, we can enhance the virtual learning experience. This research follows a Research & Development approach and focuses on the development of VMix to enhance student motivation in virtual classrooms. Abstrak Motivasi memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam keberhasilan kegiatan belajar yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa. Semakin tinggi motivasi belajar individu maka semakin tinggi prestasi belajarnya untuk dicapai. Perkembangan dunia teknologi yang semakin berkembang memacu dunia pendidikan mulai membentuk dirinya untuk menghadapi masa depan. Pendidikan yang berlangsung di dalam kelas kini bergeser ke dunia maya dan dunia nyata dengan blendended learning. Pendidikan memiliki tujuan untuk menumbuhkan semangat siswa dalam belajar sehingga mampu mengembangkan dirinya. Sebagai pengajar, kita harus berinovasi dalam mengembangkan kelas virtual agar mahasiswa antusias mengikuti perkuliahan. Kebanyakan mahasiswa malas untuk kuliah virtual karena kelas terlihat membosankan . Vmix dapat menghasilkan tampilan kelas virtual yang cantik dan menarik layaknya studio televisi. Hasil tampilan ini bisa kita gabungkan ke zoom, gmeet, Microsoft team, dan lainnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research & Development. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan pengembangan kelas virtual 3D dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa di kelas virtual.

Abstract

This research aims to establish the managerial practices for designing the Cambridge curriculum at SMPS Golden Christian School Palangka Raya. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative methodology. The data source in this study came from in-depth interviews conducted with teaching staff at SMPS Golden Christian School Palangka Raya. The data analysis technique used is the descriptive, evaluative technique. The research results show three curriculum management procedures at SMPS Golden Christian School (GCS): planning, implementation, and evaluation. Henceforth, it is suggested that organizational management is also carried out to manage the scope, sequence of materials, continuity, balance, and integration so that the current curriculum can be organized and patterned. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prosedur manajerial pengembangan kurikulum Cambridge di SMPS Golden Christian School Palangka Raya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berasal dari wawancara secara mendalam yang dilakukan dengan tenaga pengajar di SMPS Golden Christian School Palangka Raya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik deskriptif evaluatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada tiga prosedur manajemen kurikulum yang dilakukan di SMPS Golden Christian School (GCS) yaitu manajemen perencanaan, manajemen pelaksanaan, dan manajemen evaluasi. Untuk selanjutnya, diberikan saran agar dilakukan pula manajemen organisasi untuk menata kelola terkait ruang lingkup, urutan bahan, kontinuitas, keseimbangan, dan keterpaduan agar kurikulum yang berjalan dapat terorganisir dan berpola.

Abstract

The internet was developed to foster easy access to information but has been abused in terms of addiction and bullying. The main objective of this study was to assess cyber addiction and cyberbullying among adolescents in public tertiary institutions. The sample of the study consisted of 400 adolescents from 4 public tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Using an ex-post facto research design, the results indicate that 0.7% of adolescents were severe internet addicts, 26.8% were normal users, 42.5% were mildly addicted, and 30% were moderately addicted to internet use. Regression analysis showed that socio-demographic factors such as age, biological sex, religious affiliation, the institution of study, years of using the internet, and internet device usage jointly predicted cyber addiction and cyberbullying. Religious affiliation and years of using the internet independently predicted cyber addiction, while age independently predicted cyberbullying. The research findings revealed the need for monitoring and controlling adolescents' internet activities. Abstrak Internet dikembangkan untuk memfasilitasi akses mudah terhadap informasi, namun banyak disalahgunakan dan menimbulkan kecanduan serta perundungan. Tujuan utama dari studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui kecanduan dan perundungan di dunia cyber kalangan remaja di institusi pendidikan tinggi publik. Sampel penelitian diambil dari 400 remaja dari 4 institusi pendidikan tinggi publik di Nigeria. Dengan menggunakan desain penelitian eks-post facto, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 0,7% remaja mengalami kecanduan internet yang parah, 26,8% adalah pengguna normal, 42,5% mengalami kecanduan ringan, dan 30% mengalami kecanduan sedang terhadap penggunaan internet. Analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor sosiodemografi seperti usia, jenis kelamin biologis, afiliasi agama, institusi studi, tahun penggunaan internet, dan penggunaan perangkat internet secara bersama-sama memprediksi kecanduan cyber dan perundungan cyber. Afiliasi agama dan tahun penggunaan internet secara independen memprediksi kecanduan cyber, sementara usia secara independen memprediksi perundungan cyber. Temuan penelitian ini mengungkapkan perlunya pemantauan dan pengendalian aktivitas internet remaja.
