<![CDATA[This study aimed to analyze factors that influence the awareness in student entrepreneurship. The research took the form of a survey of 140 final-year students at the Indonesia Tourism Economics College (STIEPARI) Semarang who were or had taken an internship program. The benefits of Mobile Learning were measured by students' perceptions in gaining knowledge, experience, and social motivation about entrepreneurship. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of this study generally show that in entrepreneurship education through an apprenticeship program, the perception about the benefits of M-Learning and that of entrepreneurship feasibility have a significant effect on the interest in entrepreneurship both directly and through perception of entrepreneurial desires. The total influence of entrepreneurship education variables through the apprenticeship program shows that the path coefficient is greater than the perception variable on benefits so that M-Learning only functions as a support for entrepreneurship education in an internship program to increase students' entrepreneurial interest. The results of this study have implications for the development of electronic learning through M-Learning to support entrepreneurial learning. M-Learning, for example, has the potential to provide independent learning, opportunities for sharing knowledge, problem solving-based experiences, and entrepreneurial motivational facilities, solving the problem of busy time mentors in the industrial environment, and learning that is not limited to space and time.]]>

<![CDATA[This research focuses on the development of pesantren-based soft skill education management model in vocational school. The researchers have reviewed curriculum changes, ranging from the active-student learning curriculum (CBSA), competence-based curriculum (KBK), school-based curiculum or Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP) to 2013 Curriculum (K13), and changes in the education management paradigm starting from the concept of teachin-learning strategies, soft skill management, to Community Based Education Management. In Permendiknas Number 23 of 2006 concerning Graduates' Competency Standards for Primary and Secondary Education Units, soft skill gets a more dominant portion than hard skill. Conceptually, the indicators in Permendiknas Number 23 Year 2006 should be sufficient for SMK students to be fully aware of the formation of a noble person. However, in reality there are still many gaps regarding the achievement of the Graduates Competency Standards (SKL). Thus, reconstruction is needed in the learning process in Vocational Schools especially in the achievement of these soft skills. Therefore, managerial approaches are needed; one of which is the pesantren-based soft skills education management model. It is a model with a noble moral development approach for students who live in boarding schools. The learning and guidance model in Islamic boarding school (Pesantren) is applied in vocational schools without leaving the culture of the Islamic boarding school.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aimed to describe the factual management model of teacher competency improvement focusing on instructional planning, to describe the design of the management model of teacher competency improvement by utilizing online networks, and to know the validity of the management model. This research implemented a Research and Development (R & D) approach. As the focus of this study, the development of the model is in accordance with the theory of a product-oriented model. The products of this study are in accordance with the characteristics and analysis of the needs of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers. The products are regulated through a needs analysis process that meets the needs of the PAI teachers. The products are lesson plans (RPP) to be shared with colleagues. The results of the needs analysis show the importance of online tools in the improvement of the RPP. The management model of teacher competency improvement utilizes online networks using feasibility analysis, guideline preparation, user manuals, and readability tests that show positive responses from experts and users for the development of this model. The development of this model is seen as valid both from the descriptive aspects of the program and the expert analysis. The design of the teacher competency improvement training is deemed feasible to be developed for the benefit of the PAI teachers.]]>

<![CDATA[Training investments and provision of facilities can only mobilize a part of healthcare production machines, and will be successfully drive it if they are fully supported by the local institutions / government and clinical training quality assurance system. In medical education and clinical training, the behaviours and attitudes modeled by professional practitioners are a special mechanisms in which participants will implicitly "learn" various aspects of their professional positions in the future. This study aim is to assess the educational management of a competency-based clinic training of Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (CEONC/PONEK) followed by model simulation and the influence of facilitative supervision as an effort to improve hospital performance. Improving the quality of health services are expected to have significant leverage to reduce morbidity and mortality rates of mothers and neonates in Indonesia. The research was conducted in Dr Kariadi Central Hospital Semarang and Umbu Rara Meha Waingapu General Hospital at East Sumba Regency (East Nusa Tenggara Province) from 2012 to 2016. The research and evaluation conducted only in the process of educational management, so change towards a better state are expected after the intervention. The research was conducted through observational single cohort of pre-posttest design using performance assessment appraisal forms, direct and retrospective assessment which have been prepared for this research, and using primary data taken from the Hospital Management and Information System (SIMRS) database. CEONC skills training with simulation followed by facilitative supervision significantly improves the input and process in both maternal and neonatal hospital service (p < 0.05). Training also has a significant impact on improved team performance (p < 0.05), as well as compliance of health personnel to maternal care standards, although it has not had a significant impact on neonatal health services in both hospitals.]]>

<![CDATA[This study is aimed at analyzing the varieties of metaphorical expression values found in campaign discourse. Qualitative and quantitative approaches were employed in this research. The data were excerpts of campaign discourse inPresidential and Vice Presidential National Election of Republic Indonesia in 2014. They were 320 excerpts from 322 metaphors published by Kompas, Tempo, andSuaraMerdeka newspapers within seven months, from May to September 2014. Descriptive qualitative approach was used to describe the varieties of values in metaphorical expressions. The data analysis usednormative, referential equivalent, and introspective reflective method. This analysis resulted in the following findings. The values of metaphorical expressions incampaign discourse of Presidential and Vice Presidentialnational election of Republic Indonesia in 2014 are: (1) value of mutual cooperation, (2) value of religiosity, (3) value of politeness, (4) value of simplicity, (5) value of mutual respect, (6) value of mutual assistance, (7) value of simplicity, and (8) value of deliberation.]]>

<![CDATA[For students graduating from the automotive engineering education study program, this study aims to (1) determine a competency-based block system practice learning management model to improve the students’ skills; (2) to implement the competency-based block system practice learning management model; (3) to know the level of effectiveness of the model. This research implemented a research and development (R&D) approach including (1) preliminary studies including needs and contents analyses, (2) development including design, implementation and evaluation, and (3) testing the effectiveness of the product as a semi-summative evaluation. The data for this study were drawn using interview, documentation, observation, and questionnaires. The data were validated by testing their reliability and validity. The data were then analyzed using descriptive percentages and quantitative models. The results of the subsequent analyses were transformed into constructs of percentages of feasibility in the implementation of practical learning activities. The results of the study show that (1) the factual model has not been equipped with an analysis of the basic needs of practice, the formulation of objectives of the block practice, the design of the practice program, the implementation of the practice program, and the evaluation of the block practice programs so that the student’s proficiency level is still low; (2) the results of the validation from management experts and FGD indicate that the conceptual model of learning is feasible to be applied in learning activities; (3) after going through various suggestions and improvements to the hypothetical model it proved to be feasible to apply in learning. The model of automotive learning systems is very effective and easy to implement.]]>

<![CDATA[Early education services for children with autism are a place for early intervention for autistic children of pre-school age as a bridge to further education. Autism is a neurological development disorder under the age of 3 years with characteristics of communication and behavioral disorders. Pre-school age is a period of rapid brain development so early intervention or early education for children with autism is an attempt to reduce the manifestation of autism clinics. Development of early education service management for children with autism aims to intervene with autism from an early age in a comprehensive manner and in accordance with their growth and development. This study applies the Research and Development approach through four stages, namely (1) preliminary research, (2) model development, (3) validation, and (4) final model. Data were drawn using open and closed questionnaires and interviews in four early education service institutions for children with autism in Semarang. The data were processed using descriptive analysis, percentage, average, and qualitative analysis. The final model of early education service management for children with autism focuses on aspects of management which consist of (1) comprehensive planning based on the standard parameters by considering comorbidities and health status and (2) early education for children with autism carried out comprehensively and sustainably between teachers, parents, and medical personnel.]]>

<![CDATA[The lecturer’s soft skill is a part of personality competencies which becomes one of the competencies that must be possessed by lecturers. Basically, success in achieving an educational goal very much depends on the individuals' ability to carry out their duties. The main objective of this study is to analyze the influence of lecturer’s soft skills, work culture, and service quality on the satisfaction level of the students in the anesthesia specialist study program of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) Semarang. The study population is students of the anesthesia specialist program; the determined sample was 120 students selected using random sampling. Data was drawn using a questionnaire; they were then analyzed using the SPSS and the Lisrel 8.54 programs. The results show that (1) the effect of lecturer’s soft skills on service quality was 62.41%, and on student satisfaction was 59.29%; (2) the influence of work culture on service quality was 40.96%, and on student satisfaction was 43.56%; (3) the effect of service quality on student satisfaction was 50.41%; (4) the influence of the lecturer’s soft skills and work culture altogether on service quality was 51%; (5) the influence of lecturer’s soft skills, work culture, and quality of service altogether on students’ satisfaction was 72%. So, the satisfaction of the PPD UNDIP Semarang students very much depends on the dynamics of the lecturer’s soft skills, work culture, and service quality provided by the university, especially the medical faculty.]]>
