Abstract

This research is an evaluation research which aims to evaluate the implementation of industrial practice programs in the Informatics and Computer Engineering Education Study Program, Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University using the Discrepancy Evaluation Model (DEM) model which consists of five stages, namely the design/definition stage, implementation stage, process stage, product stage and product comparison stage. The subjects in this research were the Industrial Practice Coordinator and 148 students from the class of 2017 who had carried out industrial practice. The students who were used as respondents were taken using a simple random sampling technique. Data collection was taken through questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Data analysis in this research uses descriptive statistics and is presented in the form of tables and histograms. The research results show that: (1) There is a gap in the implementation of industrial practices in the informatics and computer engineering education study program for students class of 2017 in terms of the design/definition stage with an average total gap value of 0.75, which is in the very insignificant category. (2) There is a gap in the implementation of industrial practices in the informatics and computer engineering education study program for 2017 class students in terms of the implementation stage with an average total gap value of 0.48, which is in the very insignificant category. (3) There is a gap in the implementation of industrial practices in the informatics and computer engineering education study program for 2017 class students in terms of the process stage with an average total gap value of 0.69, which is in the very insignificant category. (4) There is a gap in the implementation of industrial practices in the informatics and computer engineering education study program for the 2017 class of students reviewed as a whole with an average total gap value of 0.65, which is in the very insignificant category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan *Bootstrap Framework*. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X TKJ SMK PP Muhammadiyah Tana Toraja tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Objek penelitian adalah hasil belajar siswa dalam menganalisis penerapan *Bootstrap Framework* sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Pemrograman Web. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan *Bootstrap Framework* dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pemrograman Web hingga mencapai tingkat ketuntasan sebesar 88%.

Abstract

Perwalian adalah proses penting dalam merencanakan akademik mahasiswa. Setiap mahasiswa memiliki seorang dosen pembimbing yang bertindak sebagai wali di perguruan tinggi. Melalui dosen tersebut mahasiswa dapat berkomunikasi terkait permasalahan yang mungkin terjadi selama masa studinya. Namun seringkali terhambat oleh kesibukan dan jadwal yang berbeda antara mahasiswa dan dosen pembimbing. Oleh karena itu, dikembangkan suatu sistem yang memudahkan proses perwalian menggunakan platform android. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian R&D (Research and Development) yang menggunakan model pengembangan waterfall. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan kuesioner. Pengujian pada aplikasi ini menggunakan standar kualitas ISO/IEC 25010 yang meliputi 4 aspek diantaranya functional suitability, performance efficiency, usability, dan portability. Hasil pengujian functional suitability dilakukan oleh dua dosen ahli dan terdapat 24 fitur yang diujikan bahwa aplikasi ini “Layak” digunakan. Pengujian portability pada aplikasi ini dilakukan dengan mengamati output pada 3 versi android yaitu Nougat, Red Velvet Cake, dan Tiramisu, hasil yang didapatkan bahwa aplikasi ini dapat dijalankan di ketiga versi android tersebut. Pengujian performance efficiency dilakukan dengan menggunakan tools Android Profiler untuk menguji CPU, memory, dan jaringan saat menjalankan aplikasi ini, hasil yang didapatkan yaitu penggunaan CPU kurang dari 50%, alokasi memori sebesar 122,2 Mb dan penggunaan jaringan kurang dari 48 Kb/s. Pengujian usability yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa mendapatkan hasil uji sebesar 81,6% dengan kategori kalayakan “Sangat Baik”.Kata kunci: Aplikasi, Perwalian, Android.

Abstract

This community engagement activity was designed to enhance the managerial capacity of junior high school principals in Makassar City through the socialization of the School Information System (SIS). In the context of information technology development, SIS is seen as a potential tool to improve administrative efficiency and school management effectiveness. The socialization activity was carried out in the form of interactive seminars and group discussions, involving 40 junior high school principals in Makassar City. The socialization material included the basic concepts of SIS, its benefits for school management, relevant features, and SIS implementation case studies. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the concept and benefits of SIS, as well as an increase in interest in learning more about and considering implementing SIS in their respective schools. This activity is expected to make a positive contribution to efforts to modernize education management at the junior high school level in Makassar City, through the use of information technology to support the managerial tasks of school principals.

Abstract

Responding to the growing demand for interactive, digital-based learning environments, this community service program was designed to strengthen the capacity of secondary school teachers to design visual learning media using Canva. Many teachers in the target areas previously relied on conventional methods and lacked exposure to digital design tools, resulting in monotonous teaching delivery and low student engagement. Through structured stages—including socialization, training, technology implementation, mentoring, and sustainability efforts—participants were equipped with the knowledge and skills to produce infographics, presentations, worksheets, and other teaching materials. Observations during implementation showed increased teacher confidence and creativity, improved student responsiveness, and improved media alignment with curriculum objectives. Teachers also informed to form a peer-to-peer digital community to ensure ongoing support and resource sharing. The program successfully addressed gaps in digital literacy and instructional design, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration among educators. The results demonstrate that scalable, context-based interventions can make a meaningful contribution to educational transformation.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of a learning module for the Informatics subject, grounded in the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach, aimed at enhancing the collaboration skills of students at SMAN 4 Sinjai. The PjBL model is deemed appropriate as it promotes teamwork, collaborative problem-solving, and student involvement in real-world, meaningful projects. The study adopts the Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the 4D model, which includes the phases of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The participants of the study were eleventh-grade students. Research tools utilized comprised expert validation forms, student feedback questionnaires, and learning outcome assessment instruments. Findings indicated that the module achieved a high validity score from content experts (94.6%) and was considered valid by media experts (84.2%). Student feedback placed the module in the "very practical" category, with an average score of 90%. Furthermore, its effectiveness was reflected in improved student achievement, with an average post-test score of 88.18%. Consequently, the PjBL-based module is considered suitable for use as an instructional resource that effectively supports the development of students' collaboration skills in senior high school Informatics education.
