Qualitative research analysis was strengthened by SWOT analysis to identify the potential of pesantren in facing new challenges in the era of Society 5.0. The results showed: a) The transformation of Pesantren Al Hikmah 02 refers to the principle of Al-muhafadzatu 'ala alqadimi alshalihi wa al akhdu bi al jadidi al ashlah; b) Transformation in the 4.0 era has an impact on the resilience and sustainability of the pesantren education system, by referring to the AGIL system (Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, Latency); c) The Three in One innovative curriculum is used as a strategy to answer the challenges of the era of Muslim Society 5.0. The Three in One curriculum innovation strategy can be a model for other Pesantren in facing the challenges of the digital era and industrial revolution. Abstract

The platform of religious moderatism continues to be widely used in the university context as a means to spread wasathiyah religious ideas. This study explores the role of religious institutional activities in fostering religious moderation as a strategic response to the growing influence of transnational Islamic ideologies within Indonesian higher education. Focusing on three prominent public universities Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), and Universitas Negeri Malang (UM). This qualitative research employs a multiple case study approach supported by document analysis, Focus Group Discussion, and observation. The findings reveal that while each institution adopts distinct approaches shaped by their unique socio-cultural and ideological contexts, all three share a commitment to embedding the principles of religious moderation into religious activities. UPI institutionalizes religious programs within the academic structure, UNJ emphasizes inclusivity and diversity, whereas UM integrates values of tolerance and contextual learning. The study affirms that structured mentoring programs rooted in the university’s religious and cultural frameworks are instrumental in shaping students’ moderate religious outlooks. The implications suggest that religious moderation must be mainstreamed into curricular and extracurricular domains through policies that respect institutional contexts.

Abstract

Climate change has emerged as a major challenge for coastal communities in Pekalongan. This study emphasizes that coastal women are not merely victims of climate change, but also key actors in fostering ecological awareness and community resilience. The research aims to explore the strategic roles of women in responding to climate change through a faith-based Green Deen and community-centered approach. This qualitative study employs a Participatory Action Research (PAR) framework, engaging coastal women as active agents in formulating and implementing climate adaptation strategies. The findings reveal that coastal women go beyond their domestic roles to become agents of ecological transformation. They actively contribute to climate adaptation through tangible actions such as environmental conservation, land use initiatives, local tradition revitalization, and spiritual reinforcement. The concept of Green Deen serves as both an ethical and practical foundation, bridging faith, action, and environmental sustainability. These findings also highlight the importance of integrating local knowledge, religious values, and participatory approaches in the development of climate adaptation policies in coastal areas.
