Abstract

The Sekolah Penggerak Program launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia aims to improve the quality of education by accelerating schools to become drivers of positive change. This program focuses on the development of students' literacy, numeracy, and character through training for principals and teachers. Its implementation is carried out through stages of preliminary studies, method identification, workshops, and evaluation. The main challenges in this program include teachers' lack of understanding of the Independent Curriculum and limited facilities. However, ongoing training and support from school leaders are crucial for the program's success. The results show an increase in the competence of teachers and principals in implementing the curriculum, which positively impacts the quality of education and student learning outcomes. This program is expected to be a catalyst for transforming the education system in Indonesia, creating an inclusive and high-quality educational ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the singing method is implemented in learning activities for children aged 5-6 years at TK Santo Yoseph Naikoten II Kupang. The singing method is one of the learning methods that uses songs as a medium for delivering learning materials, making the learning process more interesting and enjoyable for early childhood learners. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants consisted of the group B classroom teacher as the main data source and children aged 5-6 years as supporting data sources. The results showed that the implementation of the singing method in learning activities was carried out in a planned and systematic manner through opening, core, and closing activities. Teachers adjusted the songs to the learning themes and children's characteristics and used audio-visual media such as laptops, speakers, and song videos to support singing activities. In addition, teachers guided the singing activities using movements, clapping, and facial expressions so that children became more focused, active, enthusiastic, and confident during the learning process. Thus, the singing method was able to create a fun learning atmosphere that suited the characteristics of early childhood learners. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the role of teachers in the implementation of discipline habituation among early childhood learners at TK Tawa Gere. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving two teachers as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings revealed that teachers had carried out their roles in implementing discipline habituation through four main roles: role models, guides, implementers, and facilitators. As role models, teachers demonstrated disciplined behavior that could be imitated by children in their daily activities. As guides, teachers provided direction, reminders, and assistance to help children understand and follow established rules. As implementers, teachers consistently carried out various discipline habituation activities through daily school routines. As facilitators, teachers provided a well-organized, safe, and comfortable learning environment supported by learning facilities, classroom rules, and activity schedules that helped children develop disciplined behavior. Therefore, the implementation of discipline habituation for early childhood learners at TK Tawa Gere has been carried out effectively through the active involvement of teachers in both learning activities and daily routines at school.
