Abstract

AbstractThe covid-19 pandemic has hit almost all over the world and has transformed the entire human system including the field of education. The implementation of learning in schools that were actually run face-to-face, now the system has been changed. In order to break the rope of the spread of coronavirus that is engulfing the world, the implementation of learning must be done from home. Students learn and follow learning from home. This is certainly a new task for parents, especially in guiding the child to complete various tasks that are held to the child. Some of the things parents can do in guiding children's learning during pandemics are; 1) build a good relationship with the child; 2) build good relationships with teachers; 3) create a comfortable atmosphere to study at home; 4) prepare adequate learning facilities; 5) add insight to knowledge; 6) master technology and applications; 7) discuss to create a study schedule and activities at home; 8) be a good motivator for children in achieving achievements; 9) form the character of the child; and 10) conduct self-evaluation.

Abstract

The background of this research is the importance of character education in human life being able to shape one's personality, identity and character so as to have a balanced ability between thoughts and feelings, emotionality and intellect. realize the application of character education there are many ways that are done through education, literary works, etc. but in this case, the researcher was inspired to analyze the values of karaker education contained in a literary work in the form of a novel that is the Dreamer novel by Andrea Hirata and found the relevance of the character education values contained in the Dreamer novel withthe values of character education for the educational process in Cluster 4 Langke Rembong DistrictThis study aims to analyze the values of character education contained in the novel Sang Pemimpi and find the relevance of the values of character education contained in the novel Sang Pemimpi with the values of character education for the educational process in Cluster 4 DistrictLangke Rembong.This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach and content analysis methods through data collection techniques in the form of text analysis, document studies and interviews.the results of the study found twelve character education values contained in the novel The Dreamer of eighteen character education while six other character values were not found by the writer in the novel Dreamer. the twelve values of character education contained in the novel The Dreamer that is in relation to God, including religious values, in relation to oneself including the values of discipline, the value of hard work, creative values, independent values, the value of curiosity, the value of responsibilityanswer, the value of respecting achievement and in relation to others includes the value of tolerance, the value of friendship / communicative, and the value of social care. in addition to analyzing the values contained in the novel The Dreamer the researcher also conducted research in the form of interviews in Cluster 4 Langke Rembong District. The sources of interview data are the principal, grade 5 teachers and grade V. studentsbased on the analysis of the values of character education contained in the novel Sang Pemimpi, with the values of character education applied in Cluster 4, Langke Rembong District. shows relevance.

Abstract

Abstrak: Rendahnya kemampuan menulis pada siswa sekolah dasar sudah menjadi masalah umum. Salah satunya di Desa Wae Rií, Manggarai, NTT yang mana siswa usia sekolah dasar memiliki kemampuan yang rendah dalam menulis karangan. Hal ini terbukti pada hasil penjaringan data awal dari 20 orang siswa usia SD yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa tidak mampu menyampaikan gagasan secara runtut dan penggunaan kalimat yang baik dan benar. Oleh karena itu, tim menawarkan solusi untuk memberikan treatmen berupa penggunaan teknik pemodelan. Hal ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis karangan. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PkM ini yakni (1) tim melakukan penjaringan data awal; (2) tim menentukan solusi; (3) tim menjelaskan cara menulis karangan dengan teknik pemodelan; dan (4) tim melakukan refleksi dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil treatmen yang dilakukan, dapat dikatakan berhasil. Hal ini terlihat pada adanya peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis karangan sebelum siswa menulis menggunakan teknik pemodelan adalah : 57,5 % sedangkan setelah menggunakan teknik pemodelan adalah 75,5%.Abstract: The lack of writing ability in elementary school students has become a common problem. One of these is in Wae Rií Village, Manggarai, NTT where elementary school-age students cannot write essays. This is evident in the results of the initial data screening from 20 elementary age students which showed that students were not able to convey ideas in sequence and use good and correct sentences. Therefore, the team offers a solution by providing treatment using modeling techniques. It aims to improve students' ability to write essays. The methods used in this PkM activity are (1) the team conducts initial data screening; (2) the team determines the solution; (3) the team explains how to write essays using modeling techniques; dan (4) the team reflects and evaluates. Based on the results, it can be said to be successful. This can be seen from the increase in students' ability to write essays. Before students wrote using modeling techniques, they obtained a presentation of 57.5%, while after using modeling techniques, it was 75.5%.

Abstract

However, it was found that there are still many elementary school students who have not been able to change problems in the form of mathematical modeling and are less precise in applying various problem-solving strategies. This study aims to describe the mathematization ability of elementary school students in the Ponggeok cluster of Satar Mese sub-district. This type of research is quantitative with survey method. The population in this study were all grade IV elementary school students in the Ponggeok Cluster, totaling 98 people. The research sample amounted to 58 fourth grade students who attended SDN Damu, SDK Ponggeok, and SDI Lada.  The sample was determined by purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used is a test and the instrument is a test question in the form of a non-routine description. The data were analyzed based on the achievement of each indicator of students' mathematical ability. The results showed that students have not been able to achieve all indicators of mathematization ability. In this case, most students reach one of the stages of the mathematization ability process, namely converting problems into mathematical symbols. In addition, there are also students who only write the final result of the problem presented in the test question. In this case 28 students reached one of the stages of the mathematization ability process, namely converting problems into mathematical symbols. In addition, there are 30 students who only write the final result of the problem presented in the test question. Thus it can be said that the mathematical ability of grade IV elementary school students in the Ponggeok Cluster is still relatively low.

Abstract

The main issue discussed in this study is the obstacles that teachers experience in applying a scientific approach in elementary school. One of the main reasons for teacher barriers in applying scientific approaches is the limitation of teachers' pedagogical competence and the teacher's lack of understanding of the scientific approach. The purpose of this study is to describe the obstacles faced by teachers in applying a scientific approach in elementary school and efforts to overcome the obstacles faced by teachers in applying a scientific approach in elementary school. This type of research is literature study research. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques. The results showed that: 1) Teacher barriers in applying a scientific approach in elementary school are found in the five main characteristics of the scientific approach, namely: first, observing; teachers experience bullying because some students participate in observing the problems given by the teacher while there are still students who chat or tend to be quiet rather than observing the object given by the teacher; second, ask; teachers have difficulty because students are still less active in asking questions; third, collect information; teachers experience concern because the source of information that elementary students believe only comes from teachers; fourth, associating / reasoning, teachers experience concern when the implementation is announced to be less able or unable to think critically about something; fifth, communicate; Teachers experience bullying because students' speaking skills are still low and most students feel embarrassed to talk to their friends in front of the class. 2) Efforts to overcome the obstacles faced by teachers in applying a scientific approach in elementary school, namely; first, observe; the teacher must create a learning atmosphere that can create student curiosity, as well as can encourage students to observe; second, ask; teachers must know the right learning strategies to increase learning motivation, so that students are active to ask questions, express opinions, and master the material; third, collect information; increased learning facilities and facilities, aiming to facilitate teachers and students in the learning process, then teachers must know the characteristics of students in the midst of a large number of students; fourth, associating; the teacher's efforts in overcoming obstacles to the characteristics of socializing, the teacher makes discussions with small groups; fifth, communicate; Teachers accustom students to communicate the results of group and individual work in front of the class so that their abilities are trained and formed. Abstract

The problem in this study is related to teachers' difficulties in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in primary schools in Manggarai. The results showed that in general, the school's preparation was quite good as there were several things that had started to be done such as attending socialisation, training and workshops, attending in house trainings related to the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and holding good practice sharing activities with colleagues. The implementation in the field is manifested in activities such as, implementing the Independent Pathway Merdeka Curriculum, implementing a differentiated learning model system, following the independent pathway of change, gradually implementing target classes 1 and 4, in the 2023 school year, classes 1, 2, 4 and 5 while in the upcoming 2024 school year, the target is grades 1-6, and focusing on preparing the flow of learning objectives, studying the criteria for achieving learning objectives and so on. However, there are still so many obstacles that teachers face in the field.

Abstract

Kegiatan pendampingan ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mencegah praktik plagiasi. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi oleh maraknya kasus plagiasi dan budaya salin-tempel pada karya ilmiah yang disusun mahasiswa. Kegiatan pendampingan ini dilakukan kepada 8 orang mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Adapun 8 orang mahasiswa yang menjadi sasaran dalam kegiatan ini merupakan mahasiswa bimbingan skripsi sehingga hasil pelaksanaannya akan berdampak nyata pada proses penulisan proposal skripsi. Dalam prosesnya, kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui paparan materi dan lebih banyak melakukan latihan praktik parafrase. Selama latihan berlangsung, pekerjaan mahasiswa dicek secara manual mulai dari kemiripan hingga praktik parafrase yang keliru. Hasil pendampinganpun efektif. Dikatakan efektif karena mahasiswa mampu mempraktikkan teknik parafrase dengan baik. Hal ini dilihat dari hasil parafrase yang dibuat mahasiswa. Mahasiswa menulis sesuai dengan judul proposal masing-masing. Sebagai latihan dalam kegiatan ini, mahasiswa menulis bagian latar belakang proposal. Hasilnya, struktur kalimat parafrase yang dibuat mahasiswa benar-benar sesuai dan memiliki kemiripan yang minim dengan teks asli yang diparafrase. Jadi, pendampingan teknik parafrase efektif sehingga disarankan untuk dilakukan.

Abstract

Fakta rendahnya literasi membaca di Indonesia bukanlah isapan jempol semata. Pasalnya, masalah berkaitan dengan rendahnya literasi membaca dialami Bangsa Indonesia mulai pada level internasional sampai lokal. Dalam konteks lokal, salah satu sekolah dasar di NTT, Kabupaten Manggarai, yakni SDI Kusu, ditemukan siswa kelas IV yang belum mampu membaca lancar dan pemahaman. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kondisi literasi membaca yang rendah pada siswa sekolah dasar melalui kegiatan-kegiatan yang memicu meningkatnya literasi membaca dengan memaksimalkan penerapan tahap pembiasaan dan pengembangan. Adapun kegiatan tersebut mencakup latihan membaca nyaring, latihan membaca pemahaman, membuat peta konsep bacaan, dan menceritakan kembali isi bacaan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes dan observasi. Mitra kegiatan ini yakni SDI Kusu, Kabupaten Manggarai, NTT. Berdasarkan pelaksanaan evaluasi sesuai kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, kemampuan siswa dalam membaca pemahaman dan membaca nyaring semakin baik serta menguasai tekniknya. Demikian juga kemampuan membuat peta konsep dan menceritakan kembali bacaan yang sudah dibaca semakin meningkat. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi tahap pembiasaan dan pengembangan literasi membaca dapat membentuk budaya literasi pada siswa sekolah dasar. Adapun saran untuk kegiatan yang akan datang adalah pembuatan jurnal membaca untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan literasi siswa sekolah dasar yang sudah terbentuk

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan diksi pada teks narasi siswa kelas IV yang didasari pada tiga syarat yaitu, (1) syarat ketepatan, (2) syarat kelaziman, dan (3) syarat kaidah makna. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik penugasan dan terdapat 12 subjek penelitian. Melalui teknik penugasan siswa menyusun teks narasi berdasarkan topik yang telah ditentukan (6 topik). Jumlah teks narasi secara keseluruhan yang dihasilkan siswa sebanyak 72 teks. Hasill analisis diksi pada teks narasi siswa menunjukkan, berdasarkan syarat ketepatan, terdapat data ketidaktepatan pada sinonim, diksi aktif, pasif, kata hubung, kata depan, kata yang tidak sesuai konteks kalimat, kata yang tidak tepat akibat salah penggunaan partikel dan kata yang tidak tepat akibat salah penggunaan afiksasi. Selain itu, terdapat data yang tepat berkaitan dengan sinonim, diksi aktif, pasif, kata hubung, kata depan, kata umum, kata khusus, perubahan makna mencakup: perluasan arti, penyempitan arti, sinestesia, dan ameliorasi. Berdasarkan syarat kelaziman terdapat diksi yang lazim tetapi tidak terdapat diksi yang tidak lazim. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan syarat kaidah makna terdapat diksi yang bermakna denotatif yang tidak tepat. Kemudian, penggunaan diksi konotatif yang mencakup konotatif positif dan konotatif negatif.
