Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of leadership as a trust (amanah) and role model from the perspective of hadith and its relevance to Islamic educational management. Leadership in Islam is not only understood as the ability to manage an organization, but also as a trust that carries moral, social, and spiritual responsibilities toward Allah SWT and human beings. This study employed a qualitative approach using library research. The primary data sources consisted of the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad SAW related to leadership, trustworthiness, justice, and exemplary conduct, while secondary data were obtained from books, scientific journals, and relevant previous studies. Data were collected through documentation techniques, and the data analysis employed content analysis. The findings reveal that leadership in Islam is founded upon the values of trustworthiness (amanah), justice, responsibility, exemplary conduct, and professionalism. The hadiths of the Prophet SAW emphasize that leadership is a great responsibility for which leaders will be held accountable before Allah SWT; therefore, leaders must possess integrity, competence, and noble character. In the context of Islamic educational management, the values of trustworthiness and exemplary conduct can be implemented through the functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, which are oriented toward justice, transparency, and professionalism. The implementation of these values has been proven to improve leadership quality, organizational culture, and the quality of Islamic education. Thus, leadership based on trustworthiness and exemplary conduct serves as an important foundation for establishing educational institutions that are ethical, professional, and characterized by Islamic values.

Abstract

This article discusses the concept of humans as khalifah and its connection to self-management from the perspective of the hadith. The findings indicate that the role of humans as khalifah is not only spiritual in nature but also has practical implications in daily life, particularly in self-management and social responsibility. The hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasizes that every individual is a leader who will be held accountable, making self-management the primary foundation for fulfilling this trust. Self-management involves the effective management of time, emotions, and resources. This study is also supported by empirical findings showing that self-management skills contribute to increased productivity and quality of life. Thus, the integration of Islamic values and self-management skills is key to realizing humanity’s role as responsible and effective khalifah.

Abstract

This study discusses conflict management and decision-making from the perspective of the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad SAW. Conflict is a common phenomenon in organizations, including Islamic educational institutions, which can reduce productivity and harmony if not managed properly. Therefore, an approach is needed that is not only managerial in nature but also based on Islamic values. This study aims to identify the concepts of conflict management and decision-making based on the hadiths of the Prophet and their implementation in organizational life and Islamic educational institutions. The research method used in this study is library research with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from the Qur’an, hadiths, books, journals, and various scientific references related to conflict management and decision-making in Islam. The data were analyzed descriptively to understand the values contained in the hadiths related to conflict resolution and fair and wise leadership. The results of the study show that Islam offers several strategies for conflict resolution, such as negotiation, tabayyun (clarification), deliberation (musyawarah), tahkim (mediation), and ishlah (reconciliation). The hadiths of the Prophet also emphasize the importance of good communication, peace, and listening to all parties before making decisions. In addition, decision-making in the perspective of hadith must be based on the principles of justice and wisdom so that the decisions made do not lead to injustice or create new conflicts. In conclusion, conflict management and decision-making based on hadith have strong relevance in building harmonious, fair, and humane organizations. Islamic values such as honesty, deliberation, justice, and peace can serve as guidelines for leaders in creating a better organizational environment oriented toward collective welfare.
